Great class! He will write some things on the board and they will be on the test, but he won't write every single thing. If he didn't write, he will definitely say it during the lecture => take good notes.I wrote everything even if it didn't make sense. When reading a chapter, focus on what he talks about. You don't have to scrutinize the book.

Prof. Buffett is a little tough, but it went well. During his discussion posts online, he makes us write 4 paragraphs for the initial post AND response to another person. It's tedious but it's honestly kind of fun learning about it. He also isn't afraid to call you out if you're wrong about something. There's also two graded papers. Good luck!

The only thing I didnt like about this class was the discussions. Four paragraph discussion and a four paragraph response to another student, given weekly and worth 25% of your grade. Textbook heavy and some videos that are provided. Other than that the quizzes and final were pretty easy as long as you read the textbook

Professor Buffett is such a caring and charismatic professor. His lectures are amazing, but unfortunately I had him for a blended course, (half in person half online). He assigns very long discussion posts (8 paragraphs total) weekly. If I had him 100% in person, I would take him again without a doubt. You absolutely need the textbook though!

Dr. Buffett is one the most understanding professors at Suffolk. The Hardest part of the class is the four paragraph discussions that you have to write on top of the four paragraph reply, but if you write even three sentences, he'll accept it. I do not recommend taking this course unless you're actually interested in Long Island History.

Professor Buffett really made me love history, this guy is a genius. He never took attendance in my class, He gave 2 tests, 1 paper and the final. The paper is a little difficult so don't wait till the last minute. Overall love that guy

For this class it's a 4 paragraph discussion post and a 4 paragraph reply- sounds hefty I know, but he's lenient. It doesn't need to be a paper, just like a report of stuff from the textbook. He tells you which chapter it's in too so no wasting time. Quizzes are short and easy along with 3 tests, including the final, and I don't even love history.

I took this class entirely online. This professor assigned a discussion every week, and you had to write four paragraphs as a response and four paragraphs as a response to another classmate. The tests were pretty easy as I was online, so I looked it all up. The textbook is required. This class is a lot of work, so smartly make your schedule.

Professor Buffet was truly a pleasure to take this class with. If you come to class ready to listen to the great story he has to tell, you will surely succeed. Taking notes on his lectures was most helpful, and I felt encouraged to ask questions. Very friendly and accommodating. Will definetly make you laugh and sprinkle in fun facts about LI.

Funniest guy I ever met, made me laugh every single class. You don't need the textbook, you go over everything in class. I recommend not skipping the lectures as he doesn't post what he goes over online like other professors. All three tests are multiple choice, no homework. Even if you don't like history he makes the classes engaging.

Prof Buffett is the most knowledgable history teacher I've ever had. We had 4 tests, the last test isn't cumulative. The paper is a bit long but not hard by any means. If you take good notes in the lecture theres no reason you can't get a A+

Easy A but I would never do it again. Spending each day listening to him rant about random things that could have been summed up with a sentence was torture for me. But easy tests, easy grader for the paper and doesn't grade participation. Honestly he wasn't really funny or nice to my class, seemed like he didn't want to be there most of the time.

Very good prof. who is passionate about history. He talks a lot and is very smart but it can be boring if your not interested in the subject. Grading is easy. Tests are straight from the notes which are not given but you have to write down what he says. If you pay attention you will be fine, class not that hard. Overall good prof.

Dr. Buffet was an amazing professor and would take him again and again. He is hilarious and an amazing lecturer. He lectures mostly all of the classes, but I never minded he was very engaging. 3 exams and a paper for class. Exams were very fair. He always gave a guide. Had more than enough time for the Paper. Take him if you can!

This was one of the easiest classes ive taken. There's 3 tests and 1 five page paper. No homework. He posts study guides for each of the test making it an easy A. Doesn't care about the content of your paper only if it fits the required pages. Does tend to ramble in lecture.

Gives lectures full of information but it's not available on Brightspace so have your notebook or computer ready for taking notes. Tests are straightforward. He does get distracted sometimes. Review sheets are made up of terms telling you what to study instead of giving information, so taking notes are recommended cause thats what you use to study.
