I have not seen this kind of professor for a long time. He really reads our papers and gets back to us on daily basis. No question bothers him. I am glad I took ENC1102 with him.

Awesome teacher. Best writing teacher I've ever had. He pretty much let us loose on what we wrote about and would notice our efforts in our work. He would leave helpful comments on all papers, and is a highly accessible teacher. He's constantly answering his emails, so any questions you have he's always there to help.

hes really intersting. when yu first meet him your like woah hes trippy. i still think hes trippy. hes keeps class interseting and hes very laid back but hes also also serious when it come to work. his assigments are somewhat confusing but if try it shows that your intersented. he wants you think out of the box. i recommend him!

I love Mr. De La Flor!! If we could only have more professors who taught from the heart and not from the book...

This guy is AMAZING i took him for both 1101 and 1102. I am going to miss him so much next semester, he cares he is so nice, funny, and his class is interesting it makes you think. I recommend this class FOR SURE I would take any class with him.

great professor! little hard but very very interesting! no textbook required book u will read like 6 novels. yes u will write ur a** off but u will leave his class with a quality education. oh be ready to debate. his style of teaching is different from any other prof. u wont even feel as if u are in a "classroom setting". very layback man. love it!

First you might think he is from another planet but then you really want to join his planet. I was always looking forward to his class. I wished it lasted longer. It was interactive and fun. He stimulated our minds. You have to do some papers but as long as you put in the effort he will give you an A at the end no matter how bad you are at english.

I hate school.. but on fridays i cant wait to get to class. I promise. Mr. De La Flor is the most amazing teacher i have ever encountered. He isnt stuffy and boring like the other professors usually are. Hes completely unique in his lessons, assignments, and discussions.. Hes awesome and youll love his class. Take it!

I love professor neil! He was an awsome teacher who taught me how to think outside and beyond the box ;) His assignments aren't hard they just seem a little weired lol but don't worry yull be fine. He is one of the best teachers I've had since I got to MDC.

I recommend this course with him even if you are not a native speaker. He gets your point and understands your background as well. He rocks!

Good teacher, funny, laid back, and A lot of help if writing isn't your sort of thing. However, sometimes he dumbs his lessons down too much to fit in with the class and its a bit annoying when you really want to learn. Other than that great professor.

The class is FUN! AT TIMES! the class isnt hard you just got to dedicate time to it and show him that your working hard for him to notice your changes. I pass with a B because I tried in all my 3 project essays and the LAST ONE IS WORTH ALOT SO DO IT because thats where he notices if you deserve the grade you want! he grades very Fair!

Best prof. I ever had at Miami Dade. Very caring, brilliant, and prepared. Just go to class and participate and you've already won half the battle... The other half of the battle is the essays which he will help you with or he will ask a peer to help you with. He's amazing. Can't say enough good things about this man.

Personality Wise: Great teacher, he's hilarious & looked forward to coming to class. Interesting, laid-back & fun class.. But you really need to try with the assignments (so don't take for an easy A, I worked really hard for mine!) He's very deep into literature & expects his students to have the same mindset as him. Really disliked essays!

I personaly recommend he is exellent person and his classes are amaizing and very ineresting but you have to attend classes and also do your homework.

I absolutely loved him, I had him for enc1101 & enc1102. pretty easy class, very straight forward w/ papers and what he wants. just show up, do your work & you'll get an A plus he's funny & interesting you wont regret taking him!

Awesome professor. He is very strict with grading papers, but I think if he sees you get good grades on the first couple of essays he will accept some flaws in future essays. My last few essays were not as good but he still gave me A's for them. He accepts late submissions and his class is overall very interesting.

Great Professor very much fun in class. Just make sure you know your compositions and grammar. Very much liberal cool class.

He is not always clear on what he wants out of the assignments he assigns but don't be afraid to ask, he is beyond helpful. Great sense of humor and makes class interesting. He ties in the activities you do in class to the papers you have to write so attendance is preferred for your own benefit. Overall one of the best I've taken.

AMAZING! He is extremely funny and down to earth. If you want an easy english class that does not require many essays, this is the class for you! The essays he assigns are meaningful and creative. He only assigned about 3 essays the whole semester :) I liked this class so much I am choosing him for 1102... BEST TEACHER

He showed me another perspective of life. Really awesome professor and nice guy. Do all his essays, and he will tell you if you are good or need to improve. Every essay is delivered through turnitin (free). I would take him every semester if I could. We discuss a theme (not-so-polemic) in class, and write about it online. he doesnt correct grammar.

Prof. De La Flor is AWESOME! Class is literally like therapy 101, but English related. Attendance is not mandatory, but when he has discussions on how to go about the essay topic you should attend. He's definitely a fun and entertaining professor and I would definitely recommend him to anyone especially freshman's. Next semester ENC1102 with him :)

He helps the students enjoy literature. He finds fun ways to do all the boring stuff, especially the research paper. He helped every student one by one on every section of the research paper and if you didn't really need help he would give great feedback on what you have written. As long as you do the assignments then it's an easy A.

This professor is pretty straight forward and one that cares. His class is pretty easy, there are essays, obviously because he teaches english, but they are usually based around current events happening in today's society or involve ourselves so they're fairly easy and engaging. And how awesome that his last name is "of the flower" ? cool as heck

He's laid back (not an "in your face" type of professor) ,nice, & was clear from the beginning on how class would be and what assignments we would be graded on that would effect our over all grade. The essay topics where relevant to today's life, and weren't random. If you're concerned about your grade, get involved with it and talk to him!

Very good professor, if English is not your first language take him! 8 weeks miniterm, only 3 essays , few easy hw and he does not grade grammar.

Mr. De La FLor is a great guy and a great teacher. He is super dedicated and knows what hes doing. The whole world can be crumbling and he will still show up on time and do what needs to be done! BRAVO

Highly recommend you take his class! He makes assignments and projects not feel like homework and inspires students to genuinely enjoy writing. He makes the topics super interesting. He is available to help you with any problem you may have in the class. As long as you do the work and show him you care, you will pass the class with no problem.

Accepts late papers. 1 mini-essay about the book and 1 mini-essay about "what grade do you think you deserve". Answers emails. Not as hard as it may sound.

Amazing teacher! Assignments are due once a week, super fun and easy to do in my opinion. I enjoyed this class a lot!
