This was a playing soccer course but Coach Hull gave us the chance to get additional coaching certification as well. He was very knowledgable and was able to express that knowledge to where all levels of players could be successful.

Coach Hull is like fresh air. Classes are never dull and he does his best to help student grow into leaders/teachers/coaches. Class is in a classroom but also on field for some days. The course consist of a midterm and a final. You'll have reflections on guest speakers, philosophy assignments and some extra credit opportunities!

I took this class as an elective credit thinking it would be an easy grade however he does makes you work; I became a better student. He cares deeply for his students and is very straight forward and does not like excuses. Attendance is for a grade however, He works with you if you let him know in advance of your situation. I enjoy taking soccer class or kin 4413 at the beginning I was expecting to just play soccer but taking this course with coach hull was even better because we also learned how to grow as a coach mentally, physically and emotionally and learning to understand and play the game not by the body but with the mind and having the right mindset.

I have taken both of Professor Hulls classes intro to coaching and coaching leadership. He is one of the best professors Ive had at UTSA. I highly recommend his classes. This class is like training for a marathon. You have a few easy runs at first, but then it start to become work and you really have to apply yourself to keep up with the training(class) schedule. Coach Hull is a great teacher. He prepares you with the tools you need to succeed and provides knowledge and wisdom to excel as a coach. I 100% recommend taking any of his courses. Coach Hull will challenge you but you will come out of his class a better student/athlete/teacher/coach/person.

Professor Hull was amazing, a little intimidating at first but as the class goes on you will grow to appreciate his work ethic and he ended up being such a kind and funny man! I enjoyed taking this course, nothing too hard and he is very helpful and understanding. I will most definitely take one of his other courses in the future.

We learned the 7 principles of coaching and we were in book groups where we would have to find and apply the principles to our book. Read the book and do the powerpoints along the way and they will help you for your final presentation. Write your manifesto with time, be proactive, and use the time he gives you to work and you'll be fine! Fun Class!

This professor was hands down one of the best professors that I've had. Not only do you learn about Coaching Theory, but also learn how to expand your own mindset. Make sure to be on time to every class and get ready to think. This is not an easy class to procrastinate on, but it's more rewarding than a lot of other classes at the end of the day.

Proffesor Hull has a clear vison for his classes!! He helps you grow as a student and a coach the second you walk in!!

Coach Hull is tough. He's fairly stern and has his standards set. He's not afraid to call you out if he feels you're unprepared/winging it. Ultimately, though, you never feel like he's being unfair. He made his expectations clear from the beginning. He's very well respected and knows his stuff.

Not my major but I really enjoyed the class. It not only helped me understand what it takes to be a leader, but how to achieve greatness for yourself and your team. He will always call on the ones who look unprepared. It is not difficult to be prepared. He is extremely respectable and I would definitely recommend. You meet some cool friends too.

I almost dropped this course after sitting through the first lecture due to the heavy group work and public speaking. HOWEVER, this course became one of my favorites I have ever taken (im graduating this semester). Professor Hull did a great job building us as individuals and as groups. He is truly a great leader. Just go to class and be prepared!

Honestly he was a really good professor. This is my second time taking him after another class and I remembered why I chose him. He is very big on attendance, but in the end it is good for keeping you accountable.
