Mr. Jody is a great Professor! I took him for Finite Math but I'm sure he would be a great teacher in any math he teaches. He is very helpful and easy to understand. Math can be a difficult subject but he makes it easy. As long as you do the work and study there is no reason you shouldn't receive an A.

Professor Jody is definitely a great teacher. He wants you to ask all the questions you want and yell out answers in class. He wants you to learn and understand the subject. He gives hw and also study guides for every test (including the final!). Would definitely take him again.

Was a terrible math student in high school and failed college algebra in the fall. Im not joking when I say I look forward to going to class to learn math from him. Great dude, wants you to do well in the class. Has a passion for math and is teaching it because it is defiantly his passion in life.

This Prof. was by far the best Math Profe. if you have trouble with Algebra take him and you will never regret it. I took 0305, and 0306 and still managaed to get an A in this algebra class. Do it and you will never regret it, make sure you study the take home review he gives you. DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Personally math is my strong subject and professor Jody made it that much more easier! He has a passion for what he teaches. I highly recommend him! I don't believe he ever made anyone feel dumb over asking questions. If anything he's very helpful and so are his reviews!

He really intimidated me the first day of class. It was hard for me to understand his lectures. His class is not hard nor easy. You really have to study for his tests. He can be pretty boring at times but he tries to be funny. He gives us all the help we need to pass the class. He does makeup exams if we miss one. He's cool and chill.

Explains material very well and seems to enjoy what he does. Studying will be necessary but if you do all homework and try hard you should be fine.

Pros- Jody is the funny guy with the awkward jokes. He's caring about your grades. Simple Grading Criteria. Reviews are similar to tests. Has time for emails and personal contact. Give visual examples on board sometimes. Cons- Not a great lecturer. It gets Boring. Tips- Keep yourself motivated. Do the homework ALWAYS. Be energized. Keep good notes.

The program he uses is very "online student" friendly. Each question offers step by step explanations, which is what made this class so easy for me to learn, considering it was a math class online, which could be someone's worst nightmare. You DO NEED TO TAKE ALL EXAMS IN PERSON. But, do the review and you will make an A.

He is the best math professor ever. I took MATH2413, Calculus, and he made it really easy. He gives lots of examples and responds to emails real quick. In addition, his test are easy if you pay attention and look over the previous test he has on blackboard they are similar.

In my opinion, the best math professor at San Jac. I took all 3 major math classes and enjoyed all of them. Of course, be prepared for a lot of homework but if you stick with it, you will be successful. Would definitely recommend.

(Precalculus) If you want easy grades handed to you, aren't motivated, or don't show up half the time, don't take this or reconsider your major. He's concise and doesn't like the textbook that much, so he gives alternatives for his homework. Loves questions and gives reasonable tests. And I had taken college algebra 3 semesters ago, so I was rusty.

Great online classes, but not a cake walk. You do have study to get an (A) grade, unless you are good at mathematics. Pro's are 1) Exam's are similar to the review 2) You get to use a calculator ( 3) Partial credit given in exams, if you show work and are somewhat close to right answer 4) Example Videos for each section are helpful. math 1324&1325

Took this professor for 1324 AND 1325. After a not so successful semester taking 1325 with another professor, I decided to retake with Neil. His exams are in person, partial credit is given when shown effort in the work, and his homework online is a huge tool to success. If i could take him for ALL FUTURE MATH CLASSES I WOULD! He is a great prof.

Great professor! All in all there's only 4 exams, 4 HW assignments, and 1 final. You learn what will be on the upcoming exam by paying attention to Professor Jody during lecture. No textbook because HW is online. For the exams he graciously provides practice exams with solutions to prep you for the real ones. Do the HW & review the practice exams.

Took Math1324 and Math1325 online from Prof. Jody in the same semester. Do the work you'll get a good grade. All assignments are in MyMathLab, he does youtube videos for help and is VERY nice. Tests are proctored on campus, no notes BUT almost exactly like the review and he's generous with extra credit for showing work in a blue book during tests

taken for both 1324 and 1325 online! such an amazing guy and regret i will no longer be able to take any classes with him. lots of hw but its well worth it. uses MML so each problem gives feedback. tests are proctored on campus which is good for those who need the discipline to stay on task. very generous when it comes to giving partial credit.

This professor is available 24:7! Always responds within an hour. Very helpful! Sends reminders of when homework/tests are due. Has videos up for students to review. Shes great! Math is my worst subject and I currently have a B.

Professor Jody was clear on how the grading was broken down and great about reminding us about upcoming assignments. I did all the HW and the exam reviews, at least twice, to ensure I would do well on each exam. The exam reviews are very similar to the exams so it's extremely beneficial. Definitely taking him in the fall for Math 1325!

Even though i only had him online, he was a very caring prof. He added so many viedos online to help us understand problems well. I took my exams at San Jac and if you showed work on your scratch paper he gives extra credit. I would definitely recommend him!

He responds to emails quickly. Very understanding, will give you a breakdown of all upcoming tests/assignments at the start of the semester . No "surprise" work in this class. Uses MyMathLab which is very easy to navigate.

Professor Jody is the best calculus teacher to take. The great thing about his class is his test reviews mirror his tests. I made a 100 in both of his classes. He uses MyMathLab which gives you step-by-step instructions and if you can't understand that then you can email him and he responds very quickly. He sincerely wants you to succeed.

I was so nervous on taking a math class online but he was amazing. He provided so many videos that helped with homework and even provided reviews before exam which were just like the tests just different numbers. As long as you take your time to study and review you should get an A.

Professor Jody is a great teacher. He truly cares about the students learning the actual material. He does not mind going back to step 1 even if he is already at 15 to make sure each student understands everything correctly. Professor Jody made learning college algebra fun. Pay attention in lectures, ask questions, do your homework (for practice).

He provides practice exams that are almost identical to your test. Do them and you will pass. Often does videos to work out all of the Practiec Exam problems and is still accessible outside of class. If you take the time to care, you will absolutely pass. Not good at math, and still ended up with a 95 in the class.

Jody was a great professor! Very understanding and worked with me. On the exams, he would give a lot of points back for showing work and it really helped! Would definitely take him again! The only thing that is due for his class is homework on MathLab and he is not strict about the due dates. He'll let you turn everything in up until finals.

Math is never an easy class, but this teacher goes above and beyond to give you everything you need to succeed. He replies to emails faster than any teacher Ive ever had. Its an online class but he provides videos of him working out most every problem on homework/reviews. Grade is based on MML HW, 4 tests & a final; reviews are super helpful.

I have taken this professor for both Business Math and Calculus. Professor Jody is one of the best professors that San Jac has. I took him online and he is straight forward on what he wants from you. Homework, No quizzes, and 4 to 5 tests. His reviews are almost the same as his test which is very convenient. Wish he taught more subjects!

Professor Jody has been the BEST! I have taken him for 2 math classes and I am not a Math person. I passed with an A+ in this class. His course set up in simple, easy to follow, and as long as you do your work you will come out with a good grade. If I had another math course to take, I would use him if I could.

Prof Jody is extremely helpful. I have avoided finishing my degree due to my fear of algebra. I was been able to get through prof Jodys business finite Math class completely online due to his step by step videos. He makes himself readily available for any questions you may have. I had initially signed up for a FTF class with a different professor; however, after reading the reviews on Professor Neil, I decided to take his class instead. I do not regret my decision! I found the videos he posted to be extremely helpful, and the reviews for the exams were literally the same problems as the exam, only with different numbers.

He is quick to respond to emails! He has videos for every problem, they are very helpful. I watched his videos and followed along so I was able to learn that way, he even shows you how to use the calculator. He is detailed when he explains how to do the problems. I would take him again and I recommend him if you have to take this class online.

Prof. Jody was awesome for Calc 3. If you don't understand something then just ask or go to his office hours (He sometimes asks a question in return, but he wants you to think for yourself). He does have a very specific way of teaching, but he explains why he likes things done a certain way. Great teacher and a cool guy.

Professor Jody has been my favorite Professor ! I took College Algebra and Math 1324 with him passed both classes with an A! He is a great teacher, even if math isnt your fav subject, TAKE HIM! I was nervous about taking a math course after over 10 year out of the classroom and this professor made me feel like I never missed a thing. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and would like to take another taught by him. He provides you the told to be successful and is available for questions as needed and very responsive.

One lockdown browser exam, one open exam, one group exam (if you wanted to work with someone), and the final was a lockdown browser. Those were the only grades of the whole semester, but its open note exams and Prof. Niel gives great examples in the notes that apply to the exams. 100/10 recommend, would take for all math classes if I could.

I was nervous taking this class online but it wasn't that bad. He has a lot of homework and it's easy to fall behind.

I can't imagine this course being any easier. He is very flexible with due dates. Your exam reviews are pretty much the exams, just different numbers. All his "lectures" are on his youtube channel, where he shows you how to work every single HW problem, included every problem on the "exam reviews". He's a bit silly and goofy, I took online anytime.

Mr. Neil was beyond amazing. I really enjoyed Math 1324 and I am not good in math. God bless him !

Overall, Professor Jody was an amazing professor. He's caring and understanding, also very quick in replying to emails, even on weekends! There was homework and 5 exams. Two were on campus proctored but all exams are super easy. Same as the review with different numbers. Take this professor if you don't like Math.

If you are going to take him in the summer, I suggest that you take him for an 8-week course instead of a 5-week. You have a lot more flexibility in an 8-week class, especially in the summer. If I had taken this class in 5 weeks, I would have been more stressed. Overall, he is one of the best math teachers I have ever had in college.

One of the best professors I have taken for math, Professor Jody gives you the flexibility of making up your homework as long as you turn it in on the last day of the semester. His review videos would help me understand the material. Overall his class was great if you can Take Him!

Professor Jody is an excellent math instructor and makes college algebra easy to understand. He demonstrates how to practice every problem on the homework assignments in his videos which are short and straight to the point. He also gives partial credit on tests. I highly recommend Professor Jody and would take his course again.

Professor Jody is amazing!! Two homework assignments a week but he uses MOM so you can try the questions over and over until you actually get it down. He makes announcements 2x a week and responds to emails. AMAZING TEACHER!! Get him if you can!! His reviews match the tests!! Easy attendance. I wish all the professors were like him. I took him for MATH 1324 as a winter mini term online. We had around 2-3 assignments due each day from Mondays-Thursdays but were easy. As long as you keep up with the due dates, you would pass the class. The reviews also helped with tests and everything was easily accessible. He had notes/videos for you to look at. I recommend taking him.

I am taking Professor Jody's 1314 three-week mini, I have yet to meet a Prof. as exceptional as him. He genuinely cares on a level that no other professor I've had does. Prof. Jody set a clear schedule and provides daily updates. The course load is not light, but it is what one would expect in a 3-week mini, consisting of four tests and a final.

Professor Neil Jody did an amazing job handling the class load that he did, he took over our course and made it fun and engaging for in person. The lessons are relatively easy and his test review had similar problems on it like the exam. If you do the homework and you grasp the material, it is a pretty easy course! His office hours helped!

His videos make the semester run very smooth. There is a video for every problem on your homework. And there is also reviews/videos for every exam. Review is exactly the same as the exams including the final but different numbers. You will have to submit your work so cheating is not an option. Final exam is 50% of your grade.

This man is an amazing instructor! You can tell he really loves math and its enjoyable when he cracks himself up at his own math jokes during the lectures. If they still gave the chili pepper he would have it.

I really appreciated Prof Jody. I took it online and he would e-mail me back very quickly. Professor Jody makes the content of the course less intimidating. Also, Professor Jody is the most diligent professor I have ever had. He responds to emails lightning-quick, and his lecture videos are extremely helpful. He makes the lectures entertaining to watch when he throws in little jokes. He is all around my favorite professor!

Prof. Jody is a good online instructor if you take him during the 16 week course. I do not recommend him for the 3 week mini (too much workload for such a small period of time). Reviews are almost identical to the tests; I think he should provide at least 5 extra credit points for completing them. There are 22 homework; he has videos for them.

I took him during the summer but had to drop because the workload was too much for me due to the short timeframe. I knew it wasn't his fault, so I decided to take him again this fall. Best decision ever! He has videos for everything, and what I liked the most was that his reviews are almost identical to the tests. They aren't difficult or too long.

I am terrible at algebra but I took this professor and he made algebra fairly simple. I suggest you watch his note videos before class so you get an understanding. You will have about 2 homework's due each week. He doesn't offer extra credit however he did drop my lowest exam grade in the end. There is 4 exams and a comprehensive final.

The lectures were informative, and I appreciated the slow problem-solving pace, which helped with note-taking and understanding. The exams are challenging, but the option to use a cheat sheet is helpful. I also liked how fast he responded to emails. Overall, I enjoyed the class, and his jokes during lecture. I really wish he taught Calculus 2.

I would say professor Neil is very professional, all of his work si well organized. I have all my assignments to complete at my own pace(of course there si a deadline). The tests are not complicated if you study, and they are not long, giving you plenty of time to finish them.I highly recommend him and I would take the class again 100% idea could.

I'm not the best at math but I was surprised at how accessible the assignments were and how you could get loads of examples for them. Wasn't super test heavy but as long as you did the review beforehand, you'd be fine. Everything was online so it made it easily accessible. Would take again.

Professor Jody's online course was very easy to be honest. All you have to do is just put in a little effort and you'll pass. I took Neil Jody for college algebra. While he was a great teacher (and conversational), his lectures were pretty unengaging and tended to drag on. He taught well, and had a sense of very dry humor, you won't regret taking him. Exam questions were almost identical to the review questions, and he allowed a cheat sheet.
