It is sad to say that UM-Dearborn lacks professors like Shernoff....but maybe he can be an example to those professors who have been teaching for over 30 years and still don't know how to teach!

There's a lot of information in this class, but it's totally interesting. Dr. Shernoff is one of the best professors at UMD and also one of the coolest. I'll definitely take more of his courses.

I took Dr. Shernoff for SOC 410, 442, 468, and 469. He is without a doubt the best prof at UMD. If you're serious about your education, you'll definitely want to take him. If you are lethargic or just plain dull, you may want to loose elsewhere. He won't spoonfeed you or tie your shoes for you.

I cannot believe that anyone would give this professor a bad rating. He's extremely smart, personable, and makes class fun. I totally agree with the previous rater, if you are dull or unmotivated, then find another prof. If you're serious about your education, then you will definitely want to take Dr. Shernoff

Great professor. Plan on doing a lot of note taking, but the information given is organized well. Gives study guides for tests. A lot of reading, but it's interesting. Don't miss class, as you'll miss a lot of notes. I definitely plan on taking him again.

Very intelligent prof. The class is mostly lecture and video-but is very interesting. His lectures are to the point-without all the side discussions most professors engage in. Probably the BEST lecturer on campus-I will take him again for any classes he is teaching!!!!!

This teacher is very interesting and knowns his stuff. If your looking for a teacher that is not sure of himself than do not take his class. His arogants may not be appealing to some but would you like a teacher who is not confident and unsure teaching you if not than this is the man. Forget what surrounds him take the class and enjoy. Its fun!

Interesting but tough. You need to attend all lectures. The exams are 90% lecture, 10% other (books and textbook). We had to read 4 books besides the text - plan on reading a lot. He is a tough grader on essays. There is also one term paper based on a book you will read.

Best professor at UMD for CRJ. Classes are straight forward and tests are fair. Books are interesting and worth reading. Take all the notes and read the books and you will do fine. I have taken 468, 469, and 465 and all are great classes! Highly recomend taking shernoff.

Wonderful Prof, learned ALOT in both of the classes that I took wit him. Challenging and causes you to use your brain in class...wow what a thought, Encouraged class discussion...GREAT!!

Shernoff is the best professor I've ever had, he is absolutely genius. I've learned so much in his class!You need to attend every class, there's a ton of notes you will need for the tests and he gives you a study guide for each test. You will leave this class with a new perspective on life. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, which is refreshing.

Just take good notes and you will pass his class. Very helpful! He may seem hard at first but he do lighten up as time goes on! I would take his class again if needed!

You will write your butt off. If you care about your GPA, you will be stressed out by this class. But the lectures are interesting and the class will make you think, if nothing else. He's different, but not unapproachable. Take at least one class with him. Side Note: He's got a sexy voice & attitude, and nice hands. ;)

Great teacher! attend every lecture, and take notes! everything he says is on the test. Never used the book once! (did use the Ferguson though) He repeats what he says so you can always get it on paper, very passionate and funny! He definitely makes you want to come to class. Take him! One of the best teachers I've had in a long time.

This teacher is sweet. He gives the notes in the easiest fashion and always gives an outline of the exact articles you need to read for the test.

Shernoff rules. First day of clss he told me that he would welcome someone to do stagedives off his podium. I was hooked. He doesn't take attendance but don't miss class because you will be so far behind. Great teacher, best soc. professor I'm sure

Be prepared to take ALLOT of notes! I would guess around 5 pages per class session. Also, take VERY GOOD notes! Tests are based on lecture notes and material in the book related to what was discussed in class. Three books required to read. Essay question each test for one book. Final was 8 page all essay. ALLOT of work, but GREAT TEACHER!

Without a doubt, the best class that I've ever had. I heard a lot of great things about him from other students, but he was even better than I thought he would be. I also appreciate his dry sense of humor.

I just think he is the most brilliant and the most insightful professor at UMD.

I have to disagree with the rest of the recent submissions. He is not HOT! His dry sense of humor stinks. The subject was interesting but enough is enough - criminology is not all about killers. Lots of notes and no problem with exams if you pay attention and read the material. No extra credit though.

I will miss him and his class greatly.

Very straight forward and excellent teacher... A lot of material but you use it all and he teaches in a way to help you remember what you are hearing. His lectures are important so show up to class and don't put off readings until the last minute. This is one of the best classes I have taken at UMD and he is one of the best professors.

Shernoff is AMAZING. He is really funny and extremely interesting. I loved his lectures... you learn an insane amount every time you sit in class. He is also really easy. Take VERY thorough notes in class, NEVER skip lecture, and you will do well. No need for the book.

He's very thorough and very insightful, spends a lot of time looking at the advantages and disadvantages of capitalism -- especially global capitalism. He does the best lectures of any professor I've ever taken. I will take him again.

Prof. Shernoff is a great teacher. Any 400 level class is going to be challenging but if you attend class, take notes, and read the books, the grades are easy enough to get.

This was my second class with Shernoff, and I hope I have the opportunity to take more! He is a great teacher and he makes his classes so interesting with the books he has us read (Ok, except for the one on William Pierce...yuck!), and the videos he shows. I would definitely recommend him to everyone!

BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS, take my word for it, if you attend each class session, take good notes, you will be in perfect shape for the exam. Participation is not required, so just sit back and take good notes. He's a great professor!!!!!!!!!! Please believe me :) He doesn't deserve all the negative comments people are posting.

I'm taking my second class with him right now... I must say Shernoff is one of the best professors at UMD. Because of him, I almost want to minor in Sociology. He is a wealth of knowledge and a fair grader. Take notes, NEVER skip lecture, and stay on top of the readings he asks you to do. (The textbook for Soc 200 isn't necessary though.)

I haven't finished his class yet but he's a good teacher he will keep you laughing. You have to read!!!!!! no option if you want a good grade but thats college for you.

Professor Shernoff is a very challenging professor. You have to read and go to class to do well. However, he's extremely easy to understand and funny. Movies are used a LOT!! Books are important but interesting. Two exams and a paper. He's awesome.

This is my third class with Dr. Shernoff and I have to say that he is the best professor in the Sociology Department.

This professor knows his stuff! You don't really need the expensive book, just the small book with the articles. Take excellent notes in class and you will do great on the tests. Write down every word that he says, because it is all important. Lots of notes to study for 3 tests-but an A is very possible. He has great sense of humor!

I took 3 of his classes and he is one of my favorite professors! Shernoff has a great sense of humor, especially if you enjoy sarcasm. He really challenges his students. If you make sure to take notes in class and understand the material, you'll get a good grade. Definitely a teacher you should experience at least once!

A class that raised my consciousness about social and economic issues regarding urban America. The class answered all of the questions that I had about the decline of the cities. Taking Dr. Shernoff was one of the best educational experiences that I have ever had. I will undoubtedly take him for more courses in the future.

The BEST teacher out there! Very clear lecture points on the board daily, and goes through each one with very interesting and funny stories. Exams are ALL from the notes, no need to read the book! Very FUNNY guy who makes class fly by.

I have taken Dr. Shernoff for five SOC / CRJ classes. Dr.Shernoff is THE MAN!!! He is a great teacher with amazing insight. He is more informative and better educated on real-world issues than any social science prof that I have taken. It has been a TRUE PLEASURE to take his classes and I will miss him greatly after graduation.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER?!? Professor Shernoff is a tough teacher in the way that he assigns reading fit for a grad student but his lectures are AMAZINGLY INTERESTING!!!!!!!! There will NOT be a boring moment and you will WANT to (and NEED TO) go to class. A lot of the tests are lecture-based but u REALLY should do the readings! LOVE HIM!

I really liked him, his lectures coupled with the books gave you an interesting view on why/how kids joined gangs. You also do a large amount of work studying the Latin Kings. I loved going to his class and wish I had another oppotunity to hang out with him again. He is also a fun sense of humor too. You will not be disappointed.

Took him for Juvenile Delinquency and Criminology. Best professor I've every had. You'll actually LEARN in his classes, and remember what you learned after you're done. Exams are multiple choice and essays, and the books are extremely interesting! Love him and his classes.

Great guy. I was intimidated at first, but he's awesome! I learned a lot in this class, even though it's not the most fun subject matter. The tests, for me, were a bit challenging, but as long as you take good notes and do the reading, then you should be fine!!

Can't say how amazing this professor is. Second course I take with him. Very structured class, layout of readings, exams, etc from theb eginning. First exam is take home essay, second exam is multiple choice/essay in class, and third exam is all essay in class. All questions are from the notes (take notes and you're good!) and movies (fun films).

I've taken him several times. He's awesome!!! I always look forward to coming to class because the lectures are fantastic. Cool guy!!! Wallah!

By far the most interesting class I have had at UM-D. A class that will change your perspective. Also a class with a great deal of lecture and reading material. Cool video materials, also.

Dr. Shernoff is by far the BEST CRJ/SOC professor at UM-D....Yeah- he assigns like 5 books to read, but they are interesting if you are a CRJ/SOC major....His lectures are CRYSTAL CLEAR and his exams come straight from his lectures....Very helpful and intelligent professor. May seem intimidating at first, but trust me he will grow on you! TAKE HIM!

I LOVE SHERNOFF! I took his 3hr class so it was easier for me. He is very clear about all concepts and he is hilarious. I'm definitely taking another class with him! The only bad thing is if you don't do well on one thing your grade drops. There are 3 exams (70pts)&one analytical essay (30pts) no extra credit. You won't regret it if you study hard!

BEST PROF EVER!!!

Really good mix of sociology and economics. He's definitely an expert on labor market issues. Very critical of corporate America. I won't be shopping at Wal-Mart after taking this class.

Class isnt hard at all and he is a great professor.. however.. his tests don't have a lot of questions, which means even if you miss just 4 questions you are gonna pay for it with your grade. Highly recommend attending every class and do the reading assignments. Good Luck!

Dr Shernoff is one of the top professors in his field of study. After bombing the first exam, I found myself reeling. I asked him if there was a way to make up the grade and the answer was no. For an entry level undergrad class, others found it more difficult than expected. Entertaining, dry, factual and arrogant.

He is really funny and tries to make the subject as interesting as possible. His lectures were enjoyable and his exams were simple. We had four exams with thirty-five questions each. I would definitely recommend him.

SHERNOFF ROCKS! You will learn a lot in this class, but you have to do the work (3 exams with 35 questions and an analytical essay worth 40 points)I loved this class and will take as many classes with Dr. Shernoff as a I possibly can.

Very interesting professor. Dr. Shernoff is quite the lecturer. I learned a lot in this class. His exams are a bit difficult so you really have to give it your all through critical thinking. I liked the books he assigned. May come off as intimidating, but is a super nice guy. Please do take!

After the final exam, everyone was tallking about how great it was to have had the opportunity to study serial killers, but for me, the best part of the class was studying domestic terrorism and hate crime. Excellent class!!! Excellent prof!!!

SOC 200:I love my little Shernoff! He's awesome you do take a lot of notes but thats all you do. Then just read them over before the exam and you'll get an A! Super interesting! Honestly, college sucks and you remember nothing but this is the only class that will actually help you in life, and that you will actually remember when your 50! Love him!

The UMD is lucky to have an educator like Dr. Shernoff, who is unquestionably a brilliant man. I had him for CRJ 468, 469, and 470 -- all were fantastic classes. Not only is he an awesome prof, but he's an awesome person. Take as many classes as you can with Dr. Shernoff.

I believe he is a good professor but his writing assignments killed me, but I would take him again. The reading was interesting.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, take this professor if you need an easy A. He's very challenging. Basically if you get thru exam 1, you'll be fine rest of semester. Basically EVERY lecture/video/book notes are on the exam. Don't skip, take notes, read book and you will earn a decent grade.

One of the best courses (maybe the best course) that I've taken at the university. He spends a lot of time talking about surplus labor issues and issues pertaining to the globalization of capitalism. Incredibly worthwhile material! He is very challenging because he wants you to understand this information. He is also one very cool guy.

If you do bad on 1 exam it is hard to raise your grade. 3 exams and 1 4-5 page paper. No power point slides so so the only way to study for the class is through consulting your notes and the 2 textbooks which can be misleading and most of the material on the exams come from lecture. Take him if you have to. Exams are MC but not easy at all.

If you want to take a totally enlightening class taught by a rockin' prof, then take Shernoff. He's challenging, but this is COLLEGE. He outlines each lecture on the blackboard. The outlines are the study guides for the exams. The textbooks are also very helpful. If you're a dullard, Shernoff may not be for you.

TAKE SHERNOFF. Might not seem exciting at first, but stick with him. Dry sense of humor makes class interesting. Lectures can ramble/seem random, but he ties it all together by the end. PAY ATTENTION, take lots of notes. DON'T get the Henslin. You DO need Ferguson book - read the articles. 3 35-question mult choice exams and one 4or5 page paper.

Hard core sociology: McDonaldization, Wal-Martization, Globalization, Surplus Labor, Consumerism, Post-Industrialism. Should be a required course for everyone.

Amazing educational experience! To say this class was eye opening doesn't even begin to explain how much I learned. The lecture on politics and nuclear weaponry in the Middle East was especially mind blowing. I will be taking as many classes as possible with Dr. Shernoff.

Dr. Shernoff is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there shall be.

He is a cool professor and the material is interesting but he is horrible at lecturing. He takes long pauses and repeats himself. Things that normal teachers go over in half hour, took him 3 hours. I hated going to that class becacuse it was the biggest waste of my time and his lecturing style is horrbile.

I don't understand what the prevous rater is saying. Dr. Shernoff does awesome lectures. Sometimes,he repeats important because he wants to make sure we get it in our notes. That's very nice of him. He pauses for a second or two so that we can get key points into our notes. That's very nice, too!

The first exam is a long paper in which you have to apply the theories of Marx and Weber to a wide variety of workplace and labor market issues. Extremely worthwhile project but a great deal of work. Dr. Shernoff is a very astute professor who keeps his materials up to date -- especially in terms of the automobile industry.

He has amazing lectures; you will never fall asleep. You were do no need your main Soc book but you WILL NEED the Ferguson book. All of his questions on his exams are from lectures and the Ferguson book. Going to SI session for his class is also helpful. His exams are really straight forward and adds 2 points to each exam.

I got an A+ on my paper even though Dr. Shernoff stated he completely disagreed with my opinion. He grades you on the quality of your argument, not on your opinion. He even said that some of his favorite papers are from students he adamantly disagrees with. He is trying to get students to think critically about social issues.

If you're looking for some awesome RMP advice, then all I can tell you is to TAKE DR. SHERNOFF FOR AS MANY CLASSES AS YOU CAN!!!!! I have taken him for SOC 442, and CRJ 423, 435, 468, 469, and 470. Dr. Shernoff is the master of the universe. 'Nuff said.

A lot of reading but worth it . Test are pretty easy as long as you show up and pay attention. He talk's pretty fast so try and record him or learn to listen fast . His tests also consist of writing an essay on the books read. I recommend him.

I took Shernoff for SOC200 & loved him so much that i took him again! He's straight forward about everything... tests, papers, lectures. There are no surprises. He does assign a lot of reading(novels and textbook), some interesting, some not, but i think its well worth it to have him.

Very cool class that emphasized Orwell's 1984. "War is Peace." "Freedom is Slavery." "Ignorance is Strength." "Big Brother is Watching You." "2+25." This course made me think very critically about American society. A must-take class.

I am writing this as a UMD grad. I was miserable my first year in college and was going to drop out, but after taking SOC 200 with Dr. Shernoff I decided to give college another chance. I majored in Soc and took Dr. Shernoff for nine courses. I am now getting ready to pursue a doctorate in Sociology at Mich State. I owe it all to Dr. S.

You cannot consider yourself to be an educated person until you've taken Prof. Shernoff's Political Sociology class. This is a class that takes critical thinking to unprecedented levels. 2 + 2 5? Nuff said.

This professor is very articulate and clear. He doesn't dumb down the material and expects students to master the terminology, theories, and concepts. He is an extremely talented speaker and has a wonderful sense of humor. He doesn't dumb down the material. I look forward to taking many courses with Dr. Shernoff.

Very challenging, but I guess that's to be expected given the fact it was an accelerated summer session course. Professor Shernoff is an excellent teacher who makes the material extremely interesting. He's never boring and has a great sense of humor. I learned a great deal in this class!!!

This class deals with complex issues and that's what Shernoff addresses. He teaches it as a 400-level class, if you're a dullard, don't take him. If you need it explained to you in laymen's terms then you don't belong in the class.

This was my favorite class in college so far, plus Prof. Shernoff is amazing and awesome, by far my favorite professor in college so far.

Dr. Shernoff's class is very clear cut. Two exams and a final. 1 analytical paper. The exams are not cumulative and the paper is very easy. You do not need the textbook because whatever he doesn't cover in lecture isn't on the exam. The only book that you do need is the Ferguson text. DO NOT FORGET TO READ THE ARTICLES BEFORE THE EXAMS! Take him!

THIS GUY IS SO FUNNY AND INTERESTING. WITH HIM, SOCIOLOGY IS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND. He has a doctorate degree, but he's not snobby. His lectures are entertaining and he shows some interesting movies. The tests aren't bad, but you need to go to the SI session before the test because it tests what you know. God bless this guy because he is so cool.

Must take course that exposes the Koch Bros., Rockefellers, Chase Manhattan, Enron, etc. as the major power brokers in America. Also, he told a couple of "super boring" stories after the final exam -- great stuff! "Super boring" stories rock!

Prof tells it the way it is: globalization, Wal-Martization, surplus labor. This is an IMPORTANT, MUST TAKE CLASS.

UMD is lucky to have a professor like Dr. Shernoff. He is a very unique man with an unconventional teaching style. His lecture are by far the best of any prof I have ever had. UMD needs to have longer semesters because this class is so awesome that 15 weeks is just not enough. Shernoff is the #1 professor at UMD.

Dr. Shernoff is one of my favorite professors at UMD if anyone has the chance to take Juvenile Delinquency, I recommend it. There is three books you have to read but all of them are incredibly interesting.

I walked into this class knowing absolutely nothing about politics, but I walked out with a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight. Great class to take during the presidential primaries. Love the class. Amazing prof. Fun class. Loved coming every week. I'm sad that it's over.

Took the Political SOC class concurrently with SOC 442 (Economic SOC) and had the best semester of my life at UM-D. Professor Shernoff is the BEST. He's got attitude, personality, and swagger. These two courses changed my perspective on political economy in America. Both courses are extremely important due to current presidential politics.

Took SOC 465 and SOC 469 this semester. Highly recommend taking both classes during the same semester. BEST WAY TO DO IT! Dr. Shernoff is the best professor at the university. SOC 465 is the best class at UMD.

I LOVE SHERNOFF!

I love it when Profs have total expertise in the area they are teaching. Dr. Shernoff has total expertise in the area of female violent crime. Much of it comes from his own research in the field, plus he brings in lots of examples from his professional experience. This is a must-take class for all CRJ students.

I loved coming to this class every week. I was disappointed when Dr. Shernoff cancelled class to present his research in Ann Arbor, but I forgave him and look forward to taking many more classes with him.

Criminology (468) is Dr. Shernoff's best class, but the female violence class (465) is a close second.

Highly recommend taking 442 and 450 during the same semester. Life-changing, perspective changing experience.

Really great course. Not as awesome as 465 or 468, but definitely worth taking. The segment on the causes and prevention of school shootings was extremely well done. . Highly recommend this course, but also take 465 and 468 with THE DR.

I have taken Dr. Shernoff for 423,442, and 450, and will be taking more courses with him. I just have such tremendous respect for him. 450 was the best of the three. Dr. Shernoff for President.

The real deal in American politics -- Koch Brothers, General Electric, and Rockefeller banking interests rule this country -- the decline of civil liberties, the decline of the middle class, and the rise of Orwellian government. The time to protest is now! Political Sociology is a transcendental experience. Prof. Shernoff is pure genius.

AMAZING!!! I'm totally motivated after taking this class. I'm majoring in SOC and taking Professor Shernoff for as many classes as possible.

Funny, understanding, an easy grader and test giver, and so much more. Follows the same basic class structure for each class he teaches. Class isn't mandatory if you borrow someone's notes because 98% of the test is straight from what he writes on the board in lecture. I have taken him for: CRJ 470, 423, 469, 407, 465 SOC 442

Honestly, Prof. Shernoff in my opinion, is the best professor at Umich D. He is very kind and he is thoughtful of his students. He wants you to pass. He helps you in any way possible as well as clearly states what he is going to test on. His lectures are very helpful and I learned so much. Definitely give him a try.

After hearing so many great things about this class, I decided to take it. Believe me, I'm glad I did!! I have found it to be a remarkable experience, as it is an eye-opening look at the inequality in America. I don't want to sound like I'm exaggerating, but my whole perspective about life has changed because of this wonderful professor.

Smart!! Scary smart! Prof Shernoff not only predicted the outcome of the presidential election, but he pretty much nailed the electoral college results and the demographic trends that led to Trump's election. He also predicted the street violence that occurred after Trump was elected. Amazing!!!!

He is such an amazing professor. His lectures will blow your mind, you will get WOKE in this class. He talks about social stratification in every aspect and as long as you read the books and listen in lecture, you will get an A. I would take him again in a heartbeat.

Such an amazing professor. he can make the most uninteresting subject fun to study. His classes are based off of lectures and chapter books, which tend to be very interesting. He gives the most thorough study guides. One take home essay test and two in class essay tests. if you study the notes and read the lectures, you will pass with an A.

Easiest A I've ever gotten. Just show up to class and take notes. That's it. I like Shernoff because he's clearly passionate about the material, but he's very biased. His 3 tests are comprised of his opinions which he treats as fact. It's not that I disagree with him, but I don't like his one-sidedness. Be skeptical of what he says if you care.

Have taken 5 CRJs with Prof. Shernoff and have enjoyed them all very much, but 469 was the most enjoyable.

Was listening to the news on NPR and GM just announced that it's closing ten plants in the Midwest, including Michigan. Shernoff has been saying all along that the domestic automobile industry is finished and that the entire UAW will be" pink slipped" within the next ten years. He is an amazing prof. A+ class.

I took Dr. Shernoff for 423 and 442 this semester. What a wonderful and mind blowing experience. I never enjoyed learning about government and political issues until I took these two classes. Dr. Shernoff is so cool. After the final, I went up to him and fist bumped him, I never did that with a prof before, but I wanted to do it with him.

Had him twice this semester, taking him for two classes next semester. Nuff said!

Here's what the class is. He'll talk about a topic (i.e. politics) and then discuss the different perspectives (i.e. Merton, Marx, Spencer). I thought he went out of his way to call it down the middle without biasing the material.

Dr. Shernoff is without a doubt the most well-rounded prof in the Dept. of Behavioral Sciences.

Prof Shernoff's classes are my favorites. In addition to SOC 465, I have had him for SOC 469 and SOC 470, also CRJ 468. He goes way beyond what other professors do in the classroom so that you learn how to think out of the box and focus on what really matters. Prof Shernoff is extremely well educated and a wonderful and phenomenal educator!

Prof. Shernoff's class was fantastic. He's very animated in class and stresses the points you need to understand. You have to read in his class, I cannot stress this enough. In my class we read 4 different books, start to finish. Do the reading and you will do well. He gives study guides and covers whats needed because of this he can grade harshly.

Mind-opening and eye-opening. I never even heard of the Koch Brothers until I took this course. I also didn't know all the problems associated with health care in America.

Fantastic professor. You only need the Ferguson book, which you HAVE to read. Very thorough lectures. Best to type your notes to get everything since he talks the entire time & writes little on the board. 3 exams (25 questions from lecture, 10 from Ferguson) & a 4-5 page analytical paper. Exams 70 points each, paper is 40, so only 250 points total.

Shernoff is a great professor! This was my second class with him and I plan on taking him for two courses next semester. He is super intelligent and very funny. His lectures are awesome, especially when he's discussing material that is very complex. I always recommend Shernoff to other students because his classes are like no others.

good teacher, very funny, 3 short test, 32 questions each plus 1 essay question, no text book, (take good notes for test and you'll be fine) we also read a few books. some of the rest questions are from that.

The amount of reading and amount of books he assigned for this course was RIDICULOUS. He assigns five different books (expensive as hell) and 80 pages per week. I understand that for most schools this is normal, but on a commuter campus where budgets are tight and folks are working up to 2 or more jobs on top of other classes it's stressful

Dr. Prof. Shernoff is not one of those pristine ivory tower types, he has a lot of real world experience that he brings to all of his classes. Took him for SOC 200 and fell in love with sociology. I have taken several courses with him at the 400 level. He has impacted my life immensely. Best prof on campus!! SOC 442 was my favorite.

You have to show up and take good notes because he just lectures, no powerpoints or anything. He is knowledgable, respected, and provides good examples in class. You don't need the Henslin textbook, his exam questions are straight from his lectures. The exams are easy if you study the notes and read the articles in the Ferguson text.

I just had to take one more class with Dr. Shernoff before graduating. This was my seventh class with him. I'm just so grateful that I had the opportunity to take so many classes with him.
