I know a lot of students didn't like her due to her heavy accent. Remember this is supposed to be a college not a grade school she is very articulate and fair just apply yourself

Her class was REALLY easy if you took an accounting class in the past. Very strong accent and boring class. I missed a perfect score by 1 point in that class. Takes attendance but doesn't really drop you if you miss 3 classes or more. Her class was an ok course!

Listen up! She is the only teacher at VCC who can get you through learning debit & credit without tearing your hair out. Take her for Basic, Financial & Manageral classes. Trust me on this one.

Her teaching skills are not very good. She doesn't motivate you at all to try and actually learned something. The tests are very hard have nothing to do with what she teaches. Quizzes are easy, but have nothing to do with tests questions. Take the class, but be ready for 1hr:15min to look around or at the ceiling b/c this class is BOOOORING.

Mrs.Cintron was a very helpful teacher to those who want to learn,she always has an answer to w/e question you need help with. I took 2 classes with her and a year later I'm taking another one. There was homework, but she is very easy. loved both the classes i took with her.

Must go to class. She WF a student on the last day of class. Other than that class was easy. Just do the homework and the group quiz's and the class is a easy A. Someone in the class at one point had a 107%. A must take professor. I only payed for the homework never bought the book. $20

She has a very strong accent, but she is easy. She let's you do group quizes and if you need help with something she will help you. Go ahead and take her, easy A!

She definelty wont be winning the teacher of the year award anytime soon, but she is fair. If you put a little effort into this class, you will be fine. I took the ONLINE class on fall. Clear and prompt when answers emails. She will give 2nd opportunities. The text book is EXCELLENT, clear and helpful.Be deligent and you'll do well.I HIGHLY recommend her.

She is really nice, but has a deep spanish accent. She is really easy if you go to class and do the work. I would recommend her.

This class was enjoyable to be in! She is a very nice teacher and if you have any questions she will try and help you as much as possible! The tests are hard but if you read all the notes and go over the homework assignments you will do well. She also gives extra credit which is very helpful as well. Overall shes a great teacher!!!!

I would have to disagree with some of the previous commets, I believe professor Citron is a very helpfull professor that cares about her students. She is willing to explain any questions you have. You do have to study and prepare for this class in order to get a good grade. I do recomend this professor.

Accounting is hard in the first place but all her tests are multiple choice and she gives multiple chances for extra credit. I took this class with a different professor and had to drop b/c it was so hard but she explains everything so well and will answer any questions. attendance counts, so go to class.

Don't believe the ratings: Prof Cintron is wonderful! Her teaching is thorough and she is happy to help her students better understand accounting concepts. Completing hw and attending class = automatic B. Studing for exams = A. Gives plenty of extra credit. Allows for a notecard on exams (all multiple choice). Believe me, you want to take her!

Accounting is a difficult subject, that requires a lot of studying. That said, Prof Cintron gives her students the opportunity to learn the material and get an A in the class! Attendance & HW are majority of grade. Study for tests (mult. choice & front&back notecard) and you'll be fine! Also gives out extra credit every week! Take her!

Professor Cintron-Lorenzo is a great teacher. The homework and group quizes are easy and a great way to learn, but if you don't actually study the material, the tests will bite you in the butt, even with the note card she lets you bring in with formulas and notes.

Prof. Cintron-Lorenzo is a good professor. This class is one that requires your full attention. I took it as an online class so good study habits are a must. I always found Prof. Cintron-Lorenzo attentive to emails and she was very helpful during office hours.

I found in my experience that Professor Cintron was very helpful! I took this class online and I communicated all my problem areas and any inconveniences and she was able to work around everything. She extended due dates for people who communicated with her with TIME. The research paper looks very hard, but it really is not. You CAN pass.

Professor Cintron is very clear in what she expects out of you.The way her class is set up gives every student the opportunity to succeed.Many, many students in the class grew frustrated with her but these were the types of students who expected an easy grade from attending class alone.Accounting takes a little more than just showing up to class.

Professor Cintron is an excellent professor.I took her online, and got a "B". Everything from homework to exams are all in the syllabus,and Professor will remind you when they are due.Make sure not to wait too long to do homework.They take more time then the quizzes. Midterm online, and Final at a proctor. Follow her instructions and you will pass.

Loved this professor. Very nice and always made sure we were "all on the same boat". Sometimes her accent was difficult to understand but she will repeat herself. Its not a super easy class but there is extra credit. Just go to class/take notes and complete your homework. Open book group quiz every chapter. 1test/1final, 8x5 notecard allowed

She is great at teaching one of the most confusing classes I out there. This is my second time taking this class and I know how hard this class is. When you go to class sit in the front (especially when she gives lessons) because she is difficult to understand. but she gives GREAT LESSONS WITH GREAT EXAMPLES.

Great Professor, she is very understanding, give lots of extra credit. Attending class is mandatory. This was a difficult class, but gave a lot of information. I would advise to take her. Accent was sometimes difficult to understand, but she repeat herself.

Professor gives students plenty of opportunity for good grades, ie. extra credit, practice mid-term, etc. Class requires weekly homework and quizzes. Not too hard but you do have to do the work. Professor is very communicative and quick to respond to emails or questions. Highly recommend taking her and I am already signed up to take her for 2071.

This is a subject which you have to put work into it. Pr. Cintron is very helpful, and she will take the time one on one if you ask for help. She gives extra points, test practice, and you have 3 changes to get 100% on homework. You need a lot of practice to learn accounting. You only WILL NOT learn if you don't do your work (don't blame the prof.)

I took this course online and I did not find it extremely difficult. She gives you 2 attempts on every quiz, the homework you can check your answers before you even submit for grading. The midterm is online but the final is taken at school. She responds to emails quickly. Overall I learned quite a bit and would take her again.

This class requires at least 10-12 hours a week doing the assignments or you wont pass. The course isn't easy but she is fair. You can only fail if you're not dedicated she does provide 20 points extra credit at the end of the term. I took her in fall 2014 and received a B.

Took her class over the summer and it really wasn't that much work. She makes it as easy as possibly basically and offers a lot of extra credit. She is hard to understand but no one in my class really complained about it too much because of the good power-points. Lots of free points for attending. No one ever complained about this class.

Accounting was a new science for me, so I had to read a lot to get familiarize with the terminology. It is not easy, but with professor Cintron's help and my dedication I got my B. You will have practice exercises, quizzes and projects ,but all worth for a wider knowledge. So, take her if you want to learn!!!!

My experience with professor Cintron was great. Her lecture on every subject were clear, she also take the time to ensure that what ever help you need she was available. I believe that she is among one of the very best that Valencia college has, it's been a pleasure working with her.

Professor Cintron actually takes the time to teach and allow you the opportunity to ask questions. She makes a sincere effort in accommodating her students who needs extra help. The student success is very important to her. If you make the effort, you can easily earn an A. She is reasonable and fair, andbut your success is ultimately in your hands.

She is very very clear about what you need on the exams and to pass the class. If you have ANY questions about anything, she will go out of her way to help you out and make sure that you understand the material. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, it makes a difference. Make sure you do absolutely everything and review your practice exams before the test. :)

Very easy to understand and very helpful. If you listen to lectures and make notes you should do well. When she talks it actually applies to your life. Very useful information! The online homework does apply heavily to the test. Your grade reflects how well you understood her lectures and completed the homework/tests.

I am now in the tenth week of my Financial Accounting course with Professor Cintron-Lorenzo. She has been a great professor and graded work very quickly, responded to my emails quickly, and was very willing to help.

I just finished my second class with Professor Cintron. She is one of the most professional and dedicated professor I have ever had in Valencia. She really cares about her students success. First I would like to tell you how lucky I was to have one of the best teacher at Valencia College. I personally learned a lot from her this year and that class was one of my favorite class. I would like to encourage you to really make the most out of this opportunity.

Managerial accounting was a great class with Professor Cintron because I learned a lot and had the opportunity of actually talking to people in the real world in our field trip to Krispy Kreme. It was pretty neat. It was something that definitely has stood out of all my classes. Im grateful that I was part of this class with Prof. Cintron.

In Professor Cintron Managerial class, I really liked the great opportunity that we enjoyed of going to Krispy Kreme with the whole class to see a business in action with the emphasis on Managerial Accounting. The experience was very valuable because it showed how important Managerial Accounting knowledge is in the real world and management.

Professor Cintron not only cares for your grade in her class, she is concerned about your entire educational career. This Professor works with you in class and outside of class and also gives extra credit! A true gem but don't just take my word for it.

It was a fair class that I enjoyed and would recommend to any person that is interested in accounting. This is a class that will teach a student a lot of material that they will need in the future.

This is my third time taking Financial Accounting, my second term with Prof. Cintron Lorenzo. She is a great teacher. This my third attempt taking this class, and its not easy, but professor Lorenzo is super understanding so it should make the learning experience more enjoyable. I will be better prepared when the time comes to manage my own books

It is important to say that Ms. Cintron is very prompt in sending you the weekly tasks and she is very quick with her response. Make a weekly calendar and stay on top of the assignments and you will be fine.

If you want to pass I recommend being independent on yourself and relying on the professor for lectures and questions/answers only. She replies to email fast but she relies on the textbook and it's 5 points deducted every time you don't read a chapter. Overall, accounting is beneficial for business majors in the future!

Good professor. She works hard to make sure that you learn the materials. You must do the work to succeed but it's all laid out there for you. I would take Prof Cintron again if possible.

Took this class a while back with Professor Cintron. She's a great lady who cares about her students. There's a fair amount of work involved but the course goes pretty fast if show up and work a little bit.

I appreciate how organized Ms. Cintron is. Her emails at the beginning of the week really helps me organize and plan for the week.

My advice to be successful in this class are plan your time wisely, review materials and do not be afraid to ask your instructor for help and go to tutoring if need it. Prof. Cintron will be happy to help you. Following my advices and professors you will easily get an A.

It'a pretty easy class if you just follow along and don't get behind. She does a good job of letting you know what you have to do each week to stay on track. She's good also at answering questions when you are confused. Responds quickly. Overall, I feel like a learned a lot. I would recommend this professor for this class.

This is the second class I have taken with the professor online. It was harder this time, so I got a B instead of an A. However, the class is still fairly easy. The professor usually starts class later than others, so the semester is shorter by at least a month. I skipped a couple of the assignments. The point value was so low, they didn't matter.

Good class. I like how Prof Cintron organizes the class from day one. I always knew what to do. Pretty easy to do well if you stay on top of things and she's pretty accessible if you need help with anything.

I took this class online. The grading criteria is clear, she follows the syllabus, gives great material. The book is needed and there is 1 quiz per chapter. The quizzes/homework are a bit long but you have multiple attempts. Only 2 discussions. Final exam was easier than expected. Amazing Professor! Totally recommended!!

Took Ms. Cintron-Lorenzo for Basic Accounting as an online class. She responds rather quickly to emails. I love that she prepped each week with an email and reminder of what was due, these helped a lot through the semester. I look forward to taking more accounting classes with this professor.

Professor Cintron took the time to send us weekly emails as a reminder and to prepare us for the upcoming week. The work is not difficult as long as you do your part. I would suggest doing each part of the work for practice, even those not assigned. It doesn't hurt. I was excited about the certification, however, due to COVID-19 that is on hold.

Ms. Cintron-Lorenzo I have had for 2 accounting classes now. She communicates well, is very caring, and helps with understanding concepts. I will definitely look to take more classes with her.

You're a fool to not take her. I actually LEARNED from this class. She utilizes the interactive textbook for assignments but allocates multiple attempts for HW and quizzes. This way you can learn your mistakes and fix them! If you don't go back and fix your errors to get an A, you're too lazy for your own good. The extra credit is just a bonus!

With professor Cintron, there are no surprises. The syllabus is clear, and the grading criteria are as well. She is always there to support and encourage her students toward the successful completion of the course. Students only need to play their part by practicing the exercises and following the step-by-step learning strategy of the textbook.

This professor was really great at announcing each week what assignments are due each week,and whenever I had a question she responded really fast. There is alot of reading so make sure to read the chapters thoroughly to understand the concepts because each chp builds on top of each other. The quizzes are long, take advantage of the extra credit.

I took QuickBooks with this professor last fall but couldn't complete the certification. This year, I took payroll accounting with her, and she truly helped me earn my certification. She motivated me throughout, and I passed the test thanks to her support. I highly recommend her—she's amazing

She is amazing! if you keep up with the chapters you will go through it smoothly. Very good power points in class and quiz in the next, so taking an hour or two at home will make you more prepared for the quizes. If you are willing, she will always be there to answer questions and also really good with emails and announcements.
