I suggest NOT to take this course with Dr. Klahr. There is a lot of subject matter to cover in a little time. Dr. Klahr's lectures are long, donating and hard to follow. In my class, the students run the show. It is out of control. In addition, there is no direction on how to perform the lab correctly and how to properly clean up afterwards.
It was HORRIBLE do not take this class if you need this course for graduation. I was very disappointed in this teacher. He never knew the answers to questions you asked and would always say let me look that up. His test had nothing to do with his power points and were very difficult to understand. He was a nice guy just a really bad teacher.
Science is not my forte and English is my 3rd language, so this class was a hard one for me, but Dr. Klahr helped me a lot! He explained the concepts until I understood. The class was long, but it wasn't boring. Great professor! I recommend him.
Teacher was amazing, very helpful. Always there to go over anything you want to go over that you didnt understand. willing to stay as long as you need to in order for you to understand material. good reviews before exam very fair grader and likes to to do hands on reviews until everyone understand material
Has a very smart, scientific mind. It was his 1st semester teaching Micro; seemed to still be developing a comfort level with the subject. Gives you many extra credit opportunities. Very accommodating about turning in assignments late. It was sometimes hard to tailor the studying because his PPTs didn't sync with the book. Tough exams, though.
Dr. Klahr is a great professor. His grading criteria is clear. It is possible to get an A, however you must put in the work to receive an A. Tips - pay attention, take notes, study (outside of class), and most importantly complete homework assignments. Dr. Klahr is a nice guy, and he is passionate about science. He respects effort and hard work.
Dr. Klahr is a great teacher who cares for his students. He is passionate about his subject and loves teaching! You will learn and that in the end of the day is what we want! Take his class, he is really a helpful, wonderful human being!
He outlines the material for you, it's a lot, but he does reiterate what is essential (test material) and what is significant (may recur in future health-related courses). You have to studyread on your own although he does provide opportunities for reviewstudy online. He does want you to succeed.
He is a good professor but you need to study and do homework in order to get a good grade!
I will be honest, I wouldn't take his class again if i were paid to do so. He rambles on about the subject goes off and side rants. He will say you don't need to know this for the test, but Surprise!! it shows up on the test. Does not do multiply choice test, mostly fill in the blank. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR HIM IF YOU WANT AN EASY GRADE!!
Professor Klahr was very helpful and answered any questions that I had that I wasn't clear on. tests are very fair.
Hes a very good professor. he will give you many extra credit opportunity, he is very forgiven about dead lines for homework, and will have reviews if you take classes twice a week. Anatomy is no an easy subject so you will have to do your part, study and read on your own, etc...
DO NOT TAKE HIM Cons-This man is not easy. He jumps around a lot and isn't prepared with what he wants us to know. His lectures aren't thorough and runs through it very quickly. Pros- extra credit is given which you will definitely need
You SHOULD take him! He is a hard teacher and expects a lot. But most of the other Anatomy teachers are even harder!
He is good teacher. However, you must read, study, complete homework, and come to class. This is not an easy A. You must put in the work.
Dr. Klahr is a great professor. He takes the time to break down the material, provides PPTs and a fill in the blank lecture guide, (which is really helpful for the exam), and offers a lot of extra credit. The only way you can fail this class is if you don't attend class and don't take the time to learn the information he provides.
Please DO NOT TAKE this teachers course. He gives a lot of homework and does not what direction or what he is teaching. He talks about one thing and then jumps to another subject then back so it gets really confusing. A day before the test he will go oh yes I forgot you will also need to know this. He has no structure at all.
I've had this Professor twice so far. He is a fair grader that offers extra credit opportunities. Also, he covers the material thoroughly in his lectures with room for questions and clarity. I gave him a 3 for easiness because if you do not study and read the material given, then you will not do well. It's in your own hands.
I personally thought this professor was great. I feel like he really knew the material and his lectures were interesting. It made me want to attend. He didn't overwhelm you and if you study hard you can pass. He was always there to help if you needed it and I love that.
he is not specific on what you need to know for his tests. there is a lot of homework which isn't bad, but its a lot of homework on multiple chapters in one homework set. he gives extra credit, which is something you will need. you have to devout a lot of time and studying effort to pass, study groups got me by!
He is a good teacher but he can be more organized and needs structure. His test are hard so make sure you study and get a study group because that's the best way to do it. The homework to me seemed like it didn't help for the test and it was more stressful to do because it was posted late close to the test. He does give extra credit SO DO IT!! :)
Dr. Klahr has the students best interest at heart. He wants to see (us) the student succeed. We have interaction in the class & many times reviews to ensure we are learning & understanding the material. He gives us homework & notes as a guide to follow & if it is in the homework & notes then you can expect it to be incorporated into the exams.
There will be short answer, fill in the blank, and multiple choice questions on all of the tests, so if you arent willing to study some dont take his class. He is fair about what he covers or makes a special note of in class will be on the tests instead of crazy questions that were never covered. He gives extra credit and it helps.
need to study but not super hard but not eay what so ever... test are fill in the black, mutliplut choice and matching. can be kind of boring but he trys not to be. very helpful if you need it. gives extra credit he has a nerdy humor whcih is cool if you like that thing.
If you put in the time and effort, you will get the outcome you want.
Dr. Klahr is a great professor! There are no surprises in the class. In class notes (he makes up an outline of notes for you and answers questions as he lectures) are your study guides. Do the hw assignments, study (obviously) and an A can absolutely be achieved.
Nelson Klahr was by far one of the best professors I have had since my attendance in any of my college classes. He is flexible with his assignments and understanding of his students. he grades with an iron fist, but allows ample extra credit.
Dr Klahr is a very laid back teacher. With project deadlines and homework deadlines, if you need more time all you have to do is ask and he won't take off any points. This was Dr. Klahr's first time teaching A&P 1 so it was a learning process for him as well. A little unorganized but he is CRAZY SMART. I would definitely recommend for an easy A.
I think he was genuinely interested in his students understanding the material and succeeding in his class. I felt comfortable asking questions and participating, which is rare for me. He was encouraging, supportive, and patient with students of various backgrounds and experience .
Dr. Klahr is very knowledgeable in this area. You have a question he will have an answer. This class can be difficult especially with all the terminology and memorization, and if you do not read the book. You can't expect to get everything just from lecture. Take advantage of the homework, and tutoring for extra credit!
Lab with Dr. Klahr was really easy and fun! Show up to class, participate in all the labs and homework provided, and you will pass. You also get a cheat sheet to help with the spelling and parts of the body. Dissections were fun!
Dr. Klahr is a great professor. For someone ,like myself, who is not privy to scientific matters prior to Human Anatomy & Physiology I, his animated in depth explanation really brought the text to life. His fervor for biology galvanized me to apply myself more through out the course. So take the time out to study and you will do fine with Dr. K.
Fair professor! Just do your part and you will pass.
An instructor who wants his students to succeed. Doesn't just go through his lectures, he ties core concepts with an analogy or application to get his points across. He's also a fan of student participation, so be prepared to answer questions throughout the lecture. Keeps the students attentive and engaged. Promotes a vocal class environment.
He's very passionate about the subject, gives tons of homework, so be ready. Lots of reading involved and group presentations. He's an excellent teacher and easy to approach, very willing to help if you if you don't understand. Does give extra credit, which is helpful.
Dr. Klahr , is a excellent teacher, He give a lot homework for helpfully study and prepare for the test.
I took A&P class with DR kLAHR recommend this professor , he is very clear , very helpfully .
Dr. Klahr is a wonderful teacher. He always spend time after class to give extra help to students. He always loooking for the simplest world to explain things so everyone can understand. Overall, he is an excellent teacher.
Professor. Klahr's Anatomy and Physiology 1 course is definitely an easy A. If you have a basic understanding of the human body, and a willingness to study, this will be an easy class. I would attend class because he uses facts that were learned in class for every exam. READ THE BOOK for a deeper understanding, and don't stress!
Great teacher ! makes material easy to learn & overall helpful instructor !
He's a great teacher who really cares. He engages students during lecture by asking questions which helps stick things into the memory. Expect homework which could either help your grade or hurt it, your choice. He gives plenty of options for extra credit. Only negative: Lab and lecture are like one giant blended class (mostly all lecture)
Professor Klahr genuinely cares about his students and whether or not they do well. Sometimes his analogies aren't very clear but he is always willing to offer clarification and wants to make sure his students understand. He asks good questions to keep students engaged and grades fairly with plenty of opportunities for extra credit.
He is really unorganized. Doesn't post homework assignments that are supposed to be used to study with until it is close to the test. Takes well over a week to grade tests. Takes in a couple of months to grade homework. Puts things on the test he said not to worry about. He seems like a nice guy. Just how unorganized he is drives me insane.
Dr. Klahr appears to be concerned about every student and if they are learning.
A&P 1 covers A LOT of material. Dr. Klahr is clear in his syllabus as to how your graded. Be ready to study. He hands out note sheets in the class, it's a good idea to use them. He provides tests from previous years online (Canvas), those are very helpful. If you study, show up to class, and are relatively smart you should do fine.
His a great professor and if you just study your notes you'll be fine.
Very nice Teacher, loves to see you exceed! I would recommend him to anyone! I learned more from him than any other Professor.
This professor is more then willing to help you. Just go to class, do the work and it will prepare you for the tests.
He really wants you to learn! There is a lot of homework and the test are tough. The test were given on three chapters sometimes four which made it quite difficult because there is much material to study for.
He's an excellent professor who really wants to facilitate your process of learning A&PII! The easy completion-grade assignments and extra credit opportunities can help boost your grade. Attend class regularly to complete the note handouts. I wish I had him as a professor earlier on in college because he really wants his students to do well.
Professor Klahr is great professor, that wants his students to succeed. He doesn't give test reviews but he will give you access to the old tests to study from. Be prepared for lots of Home Work and easy extra credit to help with your grades. If you dedicate the time to study and / or very attentive in class you will be guaranteed an "A."
I enjoy Dr. Klahrs as a professor. He has a passion and knowledge for he teaches and truely wants all his students to succeed. He also gives each and every student to do so with extra credit with classroom participation and group discussions.
Overall good!!! Very willing to work with you!
Dr. Klahr is a great professor. He does give lots of homework but it helps as study guides for his tests. His lectures are fun and participation does matter. He does give you chances to get extra credit. I see no reason why you would not pass his class as long as you do the work and come to class.
Awesome professor! Get ready to work!
Overall i couldn't ask for a better professor. He really has passion for teaching
Dr. Klahr is great professor, highly recommended
Dr. Klahr is a good teacher. He gives a lot of homework and it can be a bit overwhelming but it does help for studying.
He's a great professor his lectures a great and will stop and explain if you are confused , I really liked that he made us participate in class by asking questions it kept us focused. He gives a lot of work but in the end it helps your grade. His test at tough. Expect ppt projects as well. Good luck future students !
He is a really good teacher and will clarify if needed. He has a great sense of humor and grades pretty fair. Be ready to study because he does have you take notes and he does test off that information. Overall a great class experience! I would recommend him as a teacher for more advanced students.
Dr. Klahr was one of my favorite teachers. I really like that he got the class involved by asking questions to the class. If you study off the study notes then you should do pretty well in his class. I also like that he gives extra credit to help you boost your grade. If you need any help he is always willing to assist.
Great Prof
Prof. Khlar is by far my favorite teacher at HCC. Very knowledgeable, very dynamic in his lectures, and very understanding. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester, and goes overtime if necessary to accommodate your needs and answer any questions. I would recommended taking any course with him, it will change your life.
Dr. Klahr clearly lays out what will be required for his class on the first day and sticks to it. However, if you want an A, you'd better understand the material. The tests include little multiple choice and are instead largely fill in the blank and short answer. Very communicative and offers many opportunities for extra credit. Participate!
You have to attend all his classes lecture and also lab. Everything goes together and he will help you with everything and show you how he gives test. His test are very hard but if you study and do a correct cheat sheet you will do fine. Don't be a procrastinator at all with his class but overall he is a very good professor and goes over everthing
This is a really hard class you must attend all lectures and labs to get a good grade, there are 4 test and each test has A LOT of material on it. Professor Khlar does a good job of going over the material but its important you study outside of class.
Professor Klahr does an excellent job teaching this class. The material is very challenging so be ready to dedicate a lot of hours studying for the test. He doesn't give a lot of homework and is very forgiving when it comes to that. He does extra reviews before every test. There's a lot of opportunities for extra credit as well.
amazing lectures, test heavy
I am so thankful that I took this class through Dr. Klahr. He made the information clear and answered any questions you may have had. I took this class on line in the summer time under a different professor. I realized I needed to take it in class face to face. Choosing Dr. Klahr was the best decision bc I am passing and retaining information.
He is awesome. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help his students. lots of extra credit If you really wants to learn, he will help you. He has power points online, just print them, bring them to class, pay attention in class, do your homework and you will do good in class.
Great professor! I definitely will be taking him next semester for A&P 2. There are a lot of chances to receive extra credit and he definitely gives hits on what to expect on his unit test. He cares about the student's also wants to see you succeed.
Great professor, be prepared to study because if you don't you wont pass this class. You will learn a lot at a very fast pace.
Definitely heavy lectures and thorough. You will definitely have to attend class and stay current on the homework. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit.
Professor Klahr does a great job at teaching the material in a way that we can understand and relate to. There's lots of information posted online (PowerPoints etc.) which are vital for test preparation. Attendance is a must and one should also be prepared as the material may be overwhelming if you procrastinate.
Dr Klahr is clearly a professor that cares about the success of his students. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities and gives extra study sessions before tests outside of class hours. The lectures are slightly disorganized but he makes up for it giving a lot of resources to use to study and boost your grade. I am taking him next semester
Great professor, will definitely take his class again.
To Pass the class you wanna make sure you study as much as you possibly can, make sure you do all the homework for lab, the old test and practicals can help you as well. please dont miss to many days because you can fall behind but other wise he will help you with whatever you need, gives extra credit, very thoughtful of students and participate.
Great professor. Lots of content to cover on Anatomy 2 but great class to learned and lots of extra credit.
Great professor! Really cares about his students. Gives multiple opportunities for extra credit work to boost grades and grades hw for completion only. A hard course, but professor Klahr makes learning easier!
I took this professor for both lecture and lab. He's a very sweet guy, offers a lot of extra credit. He really does want everyone to do well and offers help outside of class. If you don't study, you will not do well. This class is meant to be taken seriously. One awesome thing though is you're allowed to use a cheat sheet for every test.
Gives lots of Extra credit! Very nice teacher.. Content is very heavy but he does his best to offer many opportunities to achieve a good grade. Took for both lecture and lab.
Very helpful ; Gives countless opportunities for extra credit ; a lot of note taking but totally worth it.
It's anatomy. By nature there's a lot of material. Ya get what ya put in. However, plenty of opportunities to boost grade with hmwk and extra credit. Old tests are posted to help study.
i like this class. I meet a lot of new friends and new professor like him. class is tough but if you study hard then you will be fine. he give a lot of extra credits and that is helping.
Nice professor but not a great lecturer. His tests are tough, but there is an opportunity for extra credit. The homework is helpful. Reading the book gives you information at a greater depth than lecture alone. If you're an ace student, you may want to find someone who teaches a more in-depth class.
He knows his materials very well that he could break things down to us with different perspectives. I really did enjoy him, never miss a day from his class even though the timing can be tedious.
Professor K is a good person. He would schedule study groups at the library couple days before exam if students had any additional questions or concerns. Very lenient and down to earth. Problem is there's a lot of material to study and half of it isn't even on the exam. Offered extra credit to help boost grade which is nice.
Must study for his class. But he is a good professor.
He was good
He's very haphazard in the sense that it's very hard to follow his lecture. He's not organized by any means and took a solid 3 months to grade our first exam. He doesn't have his own PowerPoints so he is constantly flipping back and forth during lecture to try and cover materials. He's not clear on what's to be tested, but he is generous on E/C.
Khlar is a good teacher. All of his tests never had information that we did not talk about. Do not expect him to give you the grade through out the course, you must study.
As long as you go to class and take notes you should pass. Gives you lots of chances for extra credit.
Extra credit is easy to get your hands on. The only downfall of his course is his lack of preparation for lectures. He does not use his own, so he is constantly jumping around and as a student is difficult to follow.
Great power points, posts all of them to Canvas with his old tests and pictures of the notes taken , BUT he is all over the place. He gets on tangents, skips a to of slides claiming they aren't important, and then potentially tests you on that material that was skipped later. Let's you have a cheat sheet for the test, but tests VERY hard.
The professor is pretty good he knows what he's talking about you just have to stay focused study and get ready for the test
Great class
He is great professor who cares about his students & will help you to get a good grade. You just need to show up to class & participate.
Dr. Klahr is a great & funny professor. He gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit and allowed a cheat sheet for tests. Not a lot of homework. One group project. Studying is a must because his tests are pretty in depth and make you think beyond just memorizing info. Overall- enjoyed the class and will take him for A&P 2!
Khlar obviously loves anatomy but I do not feel he needs to be teaching it. He gets very caught up in little details so if you have him just for lecture and not for lab expect to fall behind and not ever feel fully prepared on a topic. Klhar is also very unorganized in everything he does, especially during lectures. Just don't take him.
Dr. Klahr is very confident in what he do but his lecture have you confused sometimes because I felt like he rambled on. If you are not reading, not paying attention or don't come to class, you WILL fail. He has no problem assigning extra credit. He also let you use one paged handwritten notes on test and on final. Overall he wasn't too bad.
The people complaining about disorganization have me asking if we even took the same class. What is expected is clearly laid out on day one. He brings note sheets to help the class follow along with lectures. Has old tests available to prep you. The tests are difficult, but not unfairly so. Pay attention, study and it'll all be all gravy.
Come to every class and pay attention to what he emphasizes in each chapter. Take down every bit of info from each class, not the lecture PPT because you can get that info later. Mainly listen to him carefully write down anything he clearly emphasizes. Take photos of the white boards and now you've got something to study from. Read hard chapters.
Come to class everyday take a lot of notes u can use your notes on all of your test , also. use his old tests as study guides u will do well . He gives a lot of extra credit very nice teacher this is my first class I had to really do work in study read etc you'll do great
Easy Laid Back Just Try and you will get an A
This professor has a nice personality but I wouldn't take his class again. If it was not for the notes we were allowed for testing and all the extra credit my entire class would have failed or just barely passed.
Dr. Klahr is a great professor with many opportunities to be successful. Be on time, dont' miss class, and do your homework!!!
Dr. Klahr was a great teach and helps out lot if you have questions
Very good teacher and gives you plenty of opportunity to pull your grade up, just make sure to put in study time for each test.
Take advantage of the extra credit when you can. Pay special attention to the first day of class. He doesn't hide anything. Very open and approachable. Responsive to e-mails and helps on the weekend.
very chilled and laid back
Pretty straight forward, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT...
This professor is perfectly fine, even though the time in class is grueling he manages to make it go OK.
He is an awesome professor. He always give a lot of opportunities for extra credits. You should take his classes.
Great teacher gives you chances to pass the class if your willing to work hard.
I really enjoyed learning from Dr. Klahr. It's always good to learn from someone who is truly excited and knowledgeable of the subject they teach.
Dr. Klahr gives gizmos as hw. He does tons of easy fun labs to help you learn. There was a group power point project but it was very easy. His tests are a little hard but if you study you will pass. Open book tests!
Unlike many college professors who seem as though they're waiting for the time to go by, Professor Klahr shows a great deal of enthusiasm for each topic that is to be covered which makes the overall learning experience better.
Professor Khlar is a great professor. If you attend class and take notes and pay attention like any other class you will pass. He is a great instructor and really cares about his students. Loved his class and he made biology easy for me. I would definitely have him as a professor again.
The instructor is very knowledgeable about Biological studies and converses regularly about them with the students. Great teacher overall.
Do the assignment and you will pass
Amazing professor!
Nice guy. Very helpful.
Was a very well and informative class. I would probably take another one of his classes if I could.
AWFUL & disorganized class. Don't take him. He's a good guy- the class is just BAD:
Heavy course material, but Dr. Klahr tells you what you need and don't need to know for the exam. Recommend reading the chapters and studying in your spare time. Provides multiple opportunities to receive extra credit . Provides many different resources (like old tests and practicals) to study from on Canvas. There is a group presentation.
Very disorganized. Don't take him if you have no prior medical background. A&P is challenging but he confused me more than anything. He provides extra credit and resources (old test/practicals) to help; which you will most definitely need.
Professor is great as a person, but not for an A&P 2 professor. Very unorganized, had no idea what was on the tests. Allowed old students to use notes on tests, but did not allow my class but still expected us to do well on the same exams. Exams are pretty much all written responses. Felt like I was set up to fail.
This is a great class with tons of online resources. He gives you past test, powerpoints, worksheets- everything you need. Understand that you will WORK for this grade- DO NOT TAKE IN A ^ WK SUMMER. It is simply too much to do. He is personable, but I think it was just too much for the class I whole. I felt like I should have known a lot before.
He takes a laid back approach to teaching and expects the students to take responsibility for learning. You have to be self-motivated to pass and you will have to be a workaholic to get an A.
He is a good guy but the class is stressful. I would recommend studying on your own a lot. Also, never takes his word verbatim because it is rarely true. Does not separate lab and lecture in summer courses, all lumped together.
Aight folks, Dr. Klahr is not an easy-A professor, you are DEFINITELY going to need some elbow grease. The good news is, he provides plenty of study materials that will help you out a lot, and gives plenty of extra credit. Summer session was VERY intense - wouldn't recommend if you have a life or job. Use his old tests to study and you'll survive!
Don,t have the book? No problem, the lecture slides, group presentations, white boards, worksheets will ensure that you have the materials you need to pass the class. Even if you are struggling in the class there are extra credit opportunities from helping the teacher out to doing extra worksheets.
Extremely heavy work load for a 6 week class. Do not take this class if you have another class to take, if you are working, or if you have small children. This class will require an extreme amount of your time. HEED this warning! The work load is intense however he does allow for you to gain EC, which I say jump on when given the oppurtunity.
This is a difficult class to take and even harder in the summer. The professor does give you extra credit which is extremely helpful. He also had tons of homework. He did group presentations and it felt like the students were the ones teaching us. That was irritating because we were not informed properly about topics. His testing is pretty tricky.
Read. Pay attention to his lectures. He offers extra credit, gives tons of homework and lets not forget the group projects. It was very overwhelming for a 6 weeks class. If you want to truly learn and understand the content take him in a 12 weeks semester NOT 6 WEEKS.
( A&P2 summer) he explained things very well and stopped often for questions. time management was a big issue. sometimes we would need to learn a full chapter the day before the test, some days we would only get lab time before/after class if we decided to stay late or come early. the class is tough, you really need commit ALL of your time to it.
The study sheets he gives you, with the sections like histology, function, etc are basically exactly what you need to know for the exams. Study the whiteboard charts. Study a bit everyday. The class takes consistent effort and engagement, but it's not the hardest thing in the universe.
A&P2 is hard in general nature. I felt lost in a 6 week semester, btu that is my fault- the class was just too rushed. He's a decent teacher- I would take him class again, this topic was just hard with his teaching style. STUDY THE PAST TESTS. Get the books.
A&P 1 was kind of a mess. The professor was all over the place when it came to lectures and the practical test. He was late to almost all of our test which made us have a short amount of time taking them. He even had to cancel out one of the test because of the disorganization. In the lectures, if understands, he will not go in depth on the subject
Professor is kind and will answer any questions or anything you need help with. Time management is a complicated thing for this course with so much information to obtain but you need to study on your own as well and not rely on just him to teach you the information. His notes are helpful, tests are a bit difficult at least for me.
This teacher is very understanding and helps you out when needed.
Great professor, go to class, participate, do the homework and assignments and you should pass. Lecture tests are short answer, multiple choice and fill in the blank which he allows a one-page front and back word-bank. Lab tests are a lot of identifying parts of the anatomy, again he allows a word-bank. Highly recommended.
Professor Kharl is a great professor, he only have the best interest for his students. he offered extra credit and gives you a lot of option to improve your grade. You just have to pay attentive attention in lecture in order to get a good grade in class.
Great professor!! Gives out a lot of extra credit if your willing to participate in lecture/lab. Would definitely recommend!
Quizzes are based heavily on the textbook. Review textbook WITH your notes to understand topics fully.
The class was alright.
Testes were very hard, to much material to learn in very little time. need to study A LOT by itself. Professor allow to use one page note on each test, which was very helpful. prof has a lot of knowledge and expect you to learn as well. good professor. this was the hardness class I ever took, but would take again.
Pay attention to him in class and listen to the key things he touches on
Prof. Klahr is very fair in all he does in in class. He's very clear during his lectures and only tests on information he talks about in class. Write everything down. He gives a lot of opportunities for class participation, extra credit and homework (easy and great for boosting your grade)! Read ahead of time, that will definitely help!
Dr. Klahr class challenges you to know the material inside and out Be ready to study a lot and learn a lot of material
Professor Klahr is a good teacher. He gives extra credit, homework, and participation credit to help you succeed in his class. He challenges you to think and work really hard, for your good, so be ready to work hard for a good grade, but really hard for that A grade :)
During the semester, It was hard to follow the class because it seemed as though he was all over the place and unorganized. He would most times finish lectures in his lab which would make it hard for students who didn't take his lab. Although he does offer extra credit and participation opportunities which is a bonus in regard to grading.
With Dr. Klahr, he is great once you care enough to understand his teaching style. He is teaching the overall, INTRO of A&P. This is the beginning of your comprehensive knowledge on these topics. If you need this course, then you're probably in health science/nursing/allied health. Learn your stuff, study! + A LOT of opportunities for extra credit!
If you take this man class please study hard... If you don't you will not pass his class. Also theirs a lot of extra credit.
This class is very heavy content based, this professor is very helpful on understading the material, but you as a student have to put effort as well.
He's a good teacher, and knows his stuff. You have to be specific with your questions though, because sometimes his answers deviate from your original question.
Biology was professor Khlar was very good. If you attend to class, study from the book and your notes you will be able to pass! He gives many extra credit opportunities to help you out too!
Good teacher knows the topics really well just has really hard quizzes and if you miss a class you will not pass also very unorganized will go back and change due dates and say he never said the original one. If you're looking for an easy grade don't take one of his classes.
Pay attention in class and read the textbook.
He knows what hes talking about and can convey his message well. Kind of unorganized.
The test is hard but if you study you can get an A or a B. The extra credits are the best because he got a lot of those.
Very well educated with the subject area, tests can be a bit difficult, but there are many ways to earn a good grade
Very well educated professor that knows his stuff. However, he is very unorganized .
Great proffesor
Really good professor, but difficult class.
He is by far the most rigorous and demanding College Teacher that I have taken at HCC. That being said, he assigns a lot of HW which can be used to offset low test grades.
Get ready for unorganized lectures but funny comments to help you relate to the subjects. His test are pretty hard in terms that rarely relate to what he presents and if it does then the topic will be on something he lectured about for 2 minutes at max. Group studies are key in his class as you'll be teaching a lot of it to yourself.
Difficult class, isn't any A&P 2?! Can be unorganized so be prepared for that. Has a great memory and will only test you on what's covered in class unless he didn't have time to cover something important. In that case, he'll tell you to study it on your own. You HAVE to study and go to class or you WILL NOT pass! Extra credit given & caring!
Great instructor, Although I have to say be prepared to work, work, work!!!! He provides review material and old test (which helped me a lot in this class). He gives copious amounts of HW and participation points which do help with poor test grades. Basically if you are willing to put in the work for this class you will do well.
Tends to ramble a lot and go off topic but knows what he's talking about.
guy is hilarious and is very knowledgeable
second semester in a roll with this professor! tests are heavy, but if you watch classes and study all the material available on canvas you are most likely to pass. tests are 60% of the grade and homework/projects etc 40% So this helps!! he's classes helped me pass on TEAS.
The material is hard so you definitely need to study for this class and he gives a lot of resources to study from so I suggest using them all especially the old test
Study hard
tests are the main reason you might not do so good in this class
A&P is supposed to be hard, its about learning EVERYTHING about the human body, so its not meant to be easy. He is an awesome professor! Very caring and knowledgeable. He goes over everything you need to know for the tests. Take notes, review prev exams, review PP, study something everyday. Work hard and your grade will reflect that!
Its hard to know what is going to be on his tests
Class is hard because is too much to memorize in such a short time. But the knowledge received is great. I would take this class over any time. It was great. MT
Great professor content is interesting to learn however tests need to changed and would be nice to have assignments to help with grade. Opportunities for a lot of extra credit though!
Awesome professor. Easy going and very helpful.
Hes not That hard, just pay attention in class and make sure you study the old test. The test can be tricky. Show up to class and PARTICIPATE, participation is apart of your grade!!!
He waste class time with student participation and group presentations. The entire scope of content is pushed at you and you dont really get any indication of what is relevant for the exams. The exams are mostly short answer and drop box matching. Very Hard! Dont take lab and lecture at the same time he does test for both same day back to back.
I feel like he doesn't go into depth about certain information for the chapters so I go to YouTube to listen to other lectures. He gives good resources in order for you to pass on your test. A lot of extra credit is given as well.
Cool, funny teacher, but be ready to learn. Just apply yourself and you will see this is one of the better teachers.
Dr. Klahr is a wonderful professor. You need to study really hard to get A, but he is very helpful. You will learn a lot on his class by taking notes on the board, doing presentation, flash cards, and work sheets. Also, he gives an example of tests to study for. If you planning to take anatomy class, I would definitely recommend Dr. Nelson Klahr.
Dr. Klahr is a challenging, engaging and wonderful professor. He makes sure you know the material and that you learn! He is one of the best professors in the school! On top of all of this, I found him to be very approachable, friendly, sincere. However, you MUST earn your grade and work hard, as in any class. Dr, Klahr will make sure you the A!
