She is really sweet and very helpful. English is not great, but she really works at making students understand.
I didnt even buy the book and I got an A. Just share with the person next to you or ask to borrow hers. Very easy A just do the assignments. Only one actual test which is the final. Its easy as long as you do the assignments. You just cant understand her english very well.
She has a little bit of difficulty understanding questions at times because of the fact that she is not a native speaker but simply repeat it for her.She is very understanding and ready to help at all times. She is also extremely lenient with assignments. During my class she would constantly push back the due dates to accommodate the students.
Absolutely Horrid. Worst teacher I've ever had. Can't even speak english. She tells us to "Slow Down" if she wants us to be quite. Assignments are pointless, We do the same one every class. Just horrible.
Is hard to understand at first but you get used to it. Very nice, understanding teacher. She will do whatever it takes for her students to do well. Pretty hot too
Treats students like they are 5 years old. Forces you to watch her do everything before you do it yourself (right down to copy and paste). I got a 100% A+ in the class, and hated every minute of it. Take this class online if you can.
She is a great teacher, always looking to help her students and truly wants them to pass. She has a huge accent and sometimes its hard to understand her, but you get used to it. She will work with you by all means. Doesn't make a big deal about tardies or attendance. VERY lenient, allows you to make up work throughout the year. EASY "A". Take her!
BEST TEACHER EVER!!! SO NICE AND INTELLGIENT TOO! Her classes are so fun!!! Want to learn new things that will inspire your future GET NELY! She is so sweet and understanding too. the accent is so cute! GET NELY
Very nice lady and has the best of intentions; however, she treats you like you're stupid and you can't understand a word she says. I ended up finishing the class like two weeks early with a 100% and still had to attend the rest of the classes. I would definitely not recommend her.
She is a very nice person/professor. The class was basically do your work(homework), pay attention, study and you pass. I would recommend her. She is very helpful =)
she copy everything on the board, she does examples on the board and asks individuals to solve it and if you dont get it she helps you with it or calls someone else.shes really nice and her test are 20 questions multiple choice and she gives a review just like the test.she easy, she has a n accent but you get use to it
She is a great professor I was lucky to take her and ignore those 3 students below they were just lazy. Her class is very easy you do the work you are guaranteed and A++ and on the test you have like 3 tries for each question. If you take her I guarantee you will get an A if you work. She is also the most helpful professor around she'll help u.
I love this professor. Prior to her class i was a failure in the subject. She writes everything out very clearly. Also gives a review sheet that follows the test accuratly..I would recommend anyone to take her.
She's a decent teacher,I'm glad I took her. She could be annoying but nothing offensive. Her accent was strong but the class was easy so it didn't matter if you understood her. She made sure everyone understood concepts but didn't tolerate talking/cell phones in class. She gave a lot of busy work, but it could be finished in class. I received 100.
I learned so much from this class, and now use the skills I have acquired. I found the Professor Hristova very helpful. I had no trouble understanding her. Please ignore the comment by the person who cannot even spell "quiet" right.
This professor is great. She cares for all of her students, she likes teaching math and is very helpful. She passes out Test Reviews prior to class so its very easy to pass her class. SHE IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD IN VALENCIA.
She is awsome she is so helpful walks around all day to hep students cares about ur grades and wants everyone to work to get an A great profesor take her the best.
She is a great teacher! She is so helpful to anyone if they have questions, and she gives out reviews before the tests and final exam so you know what to expect. She is soo sweet and has the most adorable accent =)
Everyone seems to like her for math so it may have just been my Introduction to Computers class (50 year old housewives and jocks, the computer illiterate basically)but not much was explained, she didn't understand a lot of the questions, accent isn't pure death but it is thick. Assignments were tedious and very little was learned from them.
Her instructions are unclear and she's easy to confuse. Now the confused part can be an advantage and disadvantage. If you want to learn something, she cant really explain it but when it comes to grading, you can talk your way to an A.
Prof. Hristova is helpful, whenever you have a question she will really help you understand. As long as you get to class everyday, and write down everything that goes on that white board, you will be FINE! You will have 4 test-including the final(she gives review worksheets before test+ lets you use index cards with formulas), 2 projects ( the easiest papers you will do in your life) AWSOME OVERALL!
VERY SWEET TEACHER, HAS A LITTLE ACCENT BUT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND. VERY CLEAR WITH HELPING OUT ANY QUESTIONS, VERY LENIENT WITH THE HOMEWORK, ALLOWS INDEX CARDS W/FORMULAS FOR TEST. STUDY GUIDES ARE VERY HELPFUL FOR TEST AND HER PROJECTS WERE FAIR. OVERALL SHE'S COOL! WISHES SHE TAUGHT STATISTICS AS WELL LOL
Great teacher. Has an accent but very clear with work and expectiations. Do the homework and study the test reviews and you'll get an easy A. She's very lenient with attendance but strict about the no phone in class policy. Overall great class and I will be taking College Algebra with her if possible. Also she allows flash cards with formulas for t
Amazing professor. Please take her. I took this class twice before I took her and passed with an A. you really have to be willing to do the work and put forth effort. She is VERY willing to help you if you help yourself. Take her!
Be prepared, SHE TEACHES MATH BY POWERPOINT. She takes off points if you don't have a calculator (that you never use in class anyways). You can barely understand her.If you don't know the answer, she'll make you go up to the board and solve it.The only great thing about her class is the reviews for the tests. Got a good grade because of SL and SPA.
Prof. Hristova really wants her students to do well. She bends over backwards to help you if you want help. I cannot see how anyone can give her bad reviews. My only complaint is that she let some students get away with so much. She makes her expectations clear and they are not hard. You just have to do the work.
Math for the Liberal Arts class was much better than I expected. Actually interested me in math, beyond all the numbers. She is foreign(Borat-esque)but she speaks English well.On a real note,if I passed this class,ANYone can. Seriously.4 quizes,4 tests, and final. All about 10 ?'s and easy.Book was used, but rarely. SWEETEST lady I've ever met lol. A+
Prof. Hristova is the best math teacher I've ever had. I took her on Interm. Algebra and College Algebra and I got an A on both. She cares a lot for her students. Very helpful. The tests are practically the same as the review guides. She has an accent, but you will understand her. She Does not teach from Power Point! and you don't need a book
Super easy class! although, she is almost impossible to understand! Sit in the front of class and pay attention. No lectures, just lessons on the computer, you can do most of it at home if you need to. Basically an on-line class.
Professor Hristova is awesome! Such a sweet and brilliant woman. Those who complain about her are just lazy! She does bend over backwards and her accent is manageable you just have to pay attention and stop playing with your cell phones!! She has few requirements; do your homework, attend class and have a calculator (for class).
Amazing teacher! Very helpful, explains everything, funny, sweet and accommodating. By far the best teacher I had this semester! Highly recommend her. Taking her class again!
shes a really nice teacher! she teaches very well and clear just sometimes hard to understand her accent. she is VERY fair on the tests and gives you credit for any effort or half correct answers! She always gives out a review of whats exactly on the test to study. She doesnt accept phones being used in class so dont text and always keep it silent!
She's not mean or rude. She's really perky even at 7 in the morning. She's pretty fair on her tests gives out a lot of credit. Does extra credit on homework. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK she doesn't use it. She'll make you buy math lab instead. I don't even study and I pass her tests.
Professor Hristova, where do I begin;a very nice, cordial, caring, patient teacher.Values group work, feedback, intelligence and most of all "positive feedback" b/c of her, Iam loving math now and find it quite interesting and needing to know..One more thing she is big on knowing formulas..taking this class will make you understand the purpose of formu
when i first walked into this class i was very skeptical because i couldnt really understand her. shes a cute little lady, and is overly helpful. she makes it pretty easy to get a good grade, and her tests are very very easy if you study, even a little bit. like all classes, you need to put effort. Easy A! loved her!
She's a nice teacher, make sure you study for the tests with the study guides which are almost identical to the test. Don't buy the book, h.w. is done online so you can just buy the online code.
She is a nice teacher. She is super fair on her tests and if you at least try she gives you points. Sometimes her accent can be hard to understand but she is always open to hear your questions. No need to buy the book, you wont use it. Sometimes she can be confusing when she is explaining steps to problems, but overall she is pretty good.
She was extremely nice, and very helpful. She showed her students a lot of respect, she did not mind repeating something 50 time if someone did not get a problem. She has a mild accent, but it shouldn't be a problem. Overall, she was a wonderful teacher, she made sure you understood problems that she would put on tests.
GREAT Teacher, test almost the same as the review, homework online due 1 extra question on each homework for extra credit, will make sure you pass and not move on if one person does not understand, VERY Helpful!!!!!!
she is an extremely nice teacher. she loves teaching and loves to help her students. don't need the book, just by the mathlab code! her test are almost the same as her study guide and she is very understanding if you need to miss class. she is so perky and adorable. i recommend her!! if you want a great teacher, take her!!
She genuinely loves her students! Material is really easy. Only 3 tests and homework is due at the end of semester. You only have to do half the homework for full credit. She is an easy grader and offers partial credit! Take her. She is sweet and very helpful!
Professor Hristova is a very nice lady. Her class is extremely easy. There are 3 tests, and their are reviews online that you can print prior to review day. THE REVIEWS ARE THE SAME EXACT THING AS THE TESTS. You may have a note card on the test, and no textbook is needed. You only have to do half the homework, but she does have an accent...
TAKE HER! She is the best math teacher I have ever had. I took her for College Algebra Honors and got an A. She really cares about her students and makes sure everyone understands the material. She is very respectful and pleasant. Her grading system is great and she is very clear. Her exams are VERY similar to her reviews. I learned a lot from her. I wish I could take all my math classes with her.
Professor Hristova really wants her students to succeed! She will go over a problem as many times as needed. Only do half of online problems to get full credit. 4 tests, one of which is final. She provides study guides for each and material is usually the same or very similar to it. Only complaint is she doesn't provide multiple ways to solve.
SUPER helpful! Wants her students to do well and it shows! Interesting teaching style with powerpoints and definitions, which is not of much interest to me but at the same point it wasn't hard to get an A in her class so I appreciate all the direct and accurate study guides! Listens to her students input and advice!!!!!
Loved this teacher very helpfull before every test she will give you a study guide which in other word is the test..You will want to go to class because she is so nice and makes you excited to learn about math! PLEASE TAKE HER!
Prof made you clap for everyone and everything. At first you will think you are in kindergarten but she makes sure you understand. Complete half of hmwk for full credit and easy tests-only 3 easy A
She is a very dedicated professor. She loves teaching!!! She really cares about all her students and make sure that everyone understands the material. She provides the class with study guides for every test--they are very helpful!! but they are not exactly as the tests are going to be. But they definitely help!!! One of the best teacher! Take her!
Great professor. Makes everyone in class participate which only helps you learn the material.
She's the easiest math teacher I have ever had, really easy A. Class is very boring but she gives great notes and her tests are exactly like the review.
I did not learn anything in this class. I had wrong answers on the test and got partial credit for them anyway. As long as you write something down, she gives you points. Great for an Easy A, horrible if you're trying to actually learn something!
Love taking this Professor. Have taken her for multiple classes. Cares about her students. Do all work assigned and redo problems several times to make sure you have the concept of what you are doing as for this class the test are different from the study guides, but they do help a lot. Well recommend this teacher.
The Professor encouraged student to participate with one another, which was a really awesome experience. The professor seems to acknowledge efforts made by her students. The grading shows. She also encourages tutoring. She does not overload her students. She is always willing to give more of her time or to further elaborate, if asked.
Helpful teacher. I got an A and I loathe math. She's flexible with homework, just cares that you put forth the effort to do it. The online companion (Maple TA) was absolutely horrible, so she accepted hmwk from the book if you got sick of trying to figure it out. DO NOT take the linked course...that sucked.
This professor helped me pass this class the second time around. The first professor I had was extremely difficult and would clarify nothing. Professor Hristova takes the time to walk through problems and explain them thoroughly. She does give partial credit but it is still possible to fail the class if you do not do the individual work assigned.
I took this teacher for the summer she was pretty good at first I had trouble because it was a morning class and she has an accent but her class isn't as hard if you pay attention and take notes. I passed with an A. Also, I had her for my first and only college class in the summer and she was a good experience I would def. recommend.
Did summer term B, easy math class yet I actually absorbed the material. You do have to work but she helps you through so much. Overall we have three exams and 1 final and homework. Homework she allowed online with 5 attempts. Exams were broken into an easy take home task and then the second portion was in class. Not difficult!
This class although is hard to learn by her method of teaching is really piece of cake I got an A without calculator...
If you want to pass college algebra, take this professor!!! Excellent teaching style, accurate study guides, listens to student's feedback and suggestions. No tricks or confusing questions on test, everything straight forward.
i really hate math but this professor made me fall in love with math again. her notes are very good. she does many examples, provides good explanations, and have people do examples work together. if you want to learn math and pass, take her. she has an engineering, math, and other degree so she is smart.
She's okay. She has an accent, but it's not too hard to understand. She seems like a sweet lady but I feel like she rushes through her lessons.
Professor Hristova is a wonderful teacher. She actually cares about her students and works very hard to have her students pass. To grasp all the material you do have to go to the tutoring center because you will not have all the time to learn everything in the lectures. I recommend her I her also last semester for College Algebra. rcved A's
If you struggle with math, take this professor. She is sweet and cares about her students. Talk to her if you are nervous about your grade and she will make sure you pass if you prove you are trying. If you aren't understanding something, she will re-explain the problem until you so. Highly recommend this professor!
Mrs. Hristova is the GREATEST!! She cares about her students so much, and she brings such a positive attitude to class all the time, which is much needed when taking a stressful subject like math. She wants her students to not just pass, but actually learn the material. She's willing to work with you if you are willing to work. Fantastic teacher!!!
BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER! I suck at math and this professor took the time to actually TEACH every single chapter. She is amazing. TEST REVIEW ARE IDENTICAL TO TESTS SO STUDY AND REVIEW THEM A LOT! It is an EASY A MATH CLAS
I failed this class before but after taking it with her she helped me understand math better. She has great attitude and gives reviews before the test that are identical to the tests. She wants you to pass and stays after class to help you. The homework's are easy from the book and only 3-4 questions per chapter. I definitely recommend taking her!!
Decent course. Test aren't extremely long and strenuous! Do the homework and the review and your pretty much guaranteed a good grade. I took this class online, and she was very helpful when needed! Great Professor!!! Ended the class with an A!!!!
This professor is over rated for Business Calculus. She is difficult to understand and her lectures are mediocre at best. There has to be someone better than this out there that teaches this class. She makes this class confusing and it's really not. I wouldn't take her again.
Do no take her for trigonometry!!! Hard to understand, she doesn't explain the lesson very well!!! I had to get a tutor to help me understand this class! Not worth your time!
You can not miss class. It is very hard to understand her due to her accent.
If you want to spend most your days in the Math Lab go for it! She doesn't explain the material very well. Shes a sweet lady thats it. Dont take her for Trig!!!!!
Great class! I liked this professor. She makes you understand the material the best way possible, and her test are good according to what she teaches. I highly recommend her if you need to take this class.
I don't think she's given enough credit. She does everything she can to help her students. She has an accent. Her style may be more unique than usual, but haters gonna hate! Calculus is NEVER EASY no matter what! It requires EFFORT! Don't be LAZY about it! STUDY, you'll be FINE! She's easier than the book. HW, online quizzes 3 tests and final. TAKE
This professor is awful. Find another professor that can communicate. She makes this class confusing when its really not any harder than college algebra or statistics. Nice lady but not a great professor. I give the course a 3 for easiness, but with her its a 2 because she's not clear.
She's hard to understand and very inconsistent in her grading. Her reviews for the 3 exams vary, some are like the actually exam and some are nothing like the exam, so study everything.
Get ready to pay for tutoring and spend long hours at the Math Center, as she doesn't explain subjects clearly.
alright first off let me tell you between ucf and valencia calc 1 teachers she is the easiest no questions asked anyways she has a thick accent so isnt clear so you will need someone to teach, her test are decent luckily she gives you two 100's for attendance and class participation so it helps a lot 3 test and a final i finished the class with B+
She is such a sweet lady. I took her for trig and it was a little hard to understand but she is always willing to help only if you ask! You need to do your part and do the home work and actually study the material and like she always told my class "never give up" . Ended up with an A in the class.
I don't know how this professor can have a score of 3.9, that's a score for a pretty decent professor her score should be around a 2.5. She's difficult to understand and if you see her for help , you'll walk away more confused. I score her at a D.
I took this class as a hybrid course and did very well. Professor Hristova may be a little fast when she teaches, but ask questions in class and do the assigned homework, and you will succeed!
No extra credit, but she is very helpful. Expect to do hw and practice on your own or in math lab. She gives out detailed notes, quizzes online (open book) and 3-4 tests. "pop quizzes" in class, a hw problem from the previous chapter. Gives us formulas to use on the test, so all you have to know is how to apply them.
Easy grader, you get half points on tests. She is really nice and wants you to pass. Sometimes it's difficult to understand her answers to your questions. Lots of group work, and students solving problems on the board. Homework is optional. Her notes are extremely detailed. You can DEFINITELY pass this class if you try. 4 exams, and a final.
I got an A in the class. She is a very sweet lady. I took her for Stats and it was a little hard to understand at first but she is always willing to help. You need to do your part and do the home work and actually study the material and like she always told my class "never give up" . Ended up with an A in the class.
I took a few math classes with professor Nely Hristova, and believe me I was horrible at math. She is very helpful and patient, will explain the material step by step. As long as you reach out, she will go above and beyond to help. If you pay attention, do the homework, and reach out, you will get an A in all her classes.
This Professor is great! She has a passion for Math and she loves to help and see her students do good in the class. She will sit down with you and help you if you need it!!! I have nothing negative to say!! She help me through everything and in the beginning when I had a lot going on I was failing now I am passing the class!! :) Take Her!
The material was not hard but the professor had a super strong accent. She had never taught this class before so she did not know how to teach or help anyone. She was VERY clueless. Do not take her for this course at all.
The professor Hristova is great! She has a passion for Math and she loves to help and see her students do good in the class. She will sit down with you and help you if you need it!!! I have nothing negative to say!! She help me through everything and in the beginning when I had withdrew math last semester. She has an unique style of motivation!!!!
Professor Hristova cares about her students! If you do the assigned work and care about learning the material you will pass. Expect homework, and about 3 exams plus the final.
She is not very clear at all, rushes the material and makes it difficult to learn in her class. Take this is class if you are already good in math because she does not explain well or give you a chance to make up work.
All you need to do is attend class, do the hw on my math lab and review the notes she gives you for each chapter. Guaranteed A in the class because the review is exactly like the test.
Okay these reviews are so inaccurate, I choose to take her class after seeing the reviews the at least the "good ones", claiming she was easy. Shes tough why?? her accent is hard to understand plus she just talks copies the problem from the book and then erases then next chapter. She explanation is not good at all. be prepared to self learn.
My main and biggest complaint with the class is that the final exam was so heavy it crushed me. I had a solid 85 in the class i did the homework and the quizzes. The midterm i did well on with an 85 and then i got to the final. I was so confused the final exam is a whopping 45 percent of your grade.
Professor Nely is a great professor that i ever had. She cares about the student and you have to put effort in this class in order to get a good grade. :)
Hristova is always willing to work you and wants the students to succeed. The material is hard since she has a strong accent. Hw on every section and when she teaches you the material she briefly covers it and then moves on. That was difficult but always helps you after class in the SPA. 3 test and a final
Prof. Hristova is a sweet lady with a thick accent who is willing to help students in need but she is extremely hard to understand and is constantly encouraging students to work together even if nobody understands the subject. If you're extremely good at Math, take this class. If you're not and is always dependent on math centers like me, DON'T!!!
taken online-moderate difficulty PRO's -tests not timed! which is great if you're a slow test taker -few discussion posts -multiple submission attempts CON's -teacher did not update syllabus to reflect the same deadlines as the separate portal in which homework and quizzes were submitted on. -self teaching crucial -utube vids supplied only
She is mad chill. She is fair about due dates when it comes to projects. She doesn't give unnecessary work.
She gives study guides for the midterm and final and they are very similar. The only thing that changes is the numbers. Only 30 problems each. She gives encouraging words even though I took her online class. All work is on mathlab and the quizzes and homework can be done as much times as you want until you get a grade you're happy with.
Great teacher. She'll give partial credit if you explain how you got an answer. Also, she'll meet in person (though her hours are first thing in the morning) and will go through multiple problems until you understand the material.
She cares about her students but does not explain the material. The homework is due before she even goes over the material in class. If you're not ready to teach yourself don't take her.
I love that she seems to care about her students, but the two exams make up 60 percent of the grade. This is my third time taking the class, and because of that, I can't withdraw. Had I known this before the first day of class, I would have chose a different prof. Now if I fail the class again, I won't be able to retake it or take any upper levels.
Very strong accent! She is a very very sweet lady and wants the best for her students. She extends deadlines for the assignments ALL the time. Tests are EXACTLY like the reviews on MYMATHLAB. I basically taught myself most of the material, and if you are familiar with algebra from high school you should get an A
I took this class online and was little tough to learn things on my own. You cant take too much time off or you will fall behind. The professor does extend due times if needed or because of qn occasion, and she does give extra credit. She pushes you not to give up and keep trying, and trust me, take her word for it, you wont regret it.
Great, I wouldn't have passed my class without her. Just do your best and you'll pass. Lots of extra credit- do it. Get full credit on hw assignments. Study for tests.
I can honestly say I would not have passed this course without her. She offers extra credit (make sure you do it, even if you don't think you need it because the tests are harder than you'd think). As long you do the hw and quizzes, you will understand the tests. She is very understanding and will meet face to face to help you. Great professor!!
When I first began the online class, I didnt like the prof. There are only 2 exams, a few quizzes and some homework. The exams take up 60%. I had failed one exam and barely passed the other. When I contacted her, all she would say was keep trying. She ended up being very helpful and I ended up with a B. She will make sure you pass
Standard online math class. You can redo the homework and quizzes as many times as you want to get a perfect score. She gives practice tests for the midterm and final that are EXACTLY like the exams, which was super helpful. You definitely have to be able to teach yourself everything, but she seems like she really cares and wants you to do well.
Listen a professor that understand a subject is hard is awesome. You are teaching yourself but she is soooooooo caring and wants you to pass shes always pushing you to keep trying. There are 5 module 3 are due in the middle of semester 2 are due at the end. There is a midterm and a final both are on the first few chapters. TAKE HER
Most of her assignments are online, even the exams. She gives/allows cheat sheets for the exam... without them you probably wouldn't pass. Easy A class, if she knows your name she will find everything wrong with you. I don't like her as a person but as a teacher she's great. DO NOT skip class, she will not go over the lesson you missed. :)
She has a very thick accent and a monotone voice. She calls you to read notes and she makes you solve problems on the board even if you didn't volunteer. She lets you use a cheat sheet for the exams which is beyond beneficial because you won't have to remember the formulas. She encourages everybody to try and learn the subject.
WORST PROFESSOR EVER! You cant understand her half the time. She has a very heavy accent. She doesnt know whats going on half the time she just oblivious to everything. And she gives lots of homework. She doesnt go over everything that is going to be on the test she says you need to learn critical thinking Awful
I did not learn one thing all semester. If I passed the best is because I taught it to myself. She sucks.
Amazing Professor!! Take him for any of your math classes available. I took him for College mathematics online. Midterm and final to be taken at testing center. All exams EXACTLY like reviews, he just changes the numbers.
A wonderful professor! Gets back to you in time, very clear instructions. I took this course online, used MyMathLab exclusively. Though it is online, midterm & final must be taken in Testing Center.
Very easy class. I took it online and it was very easy to learn the topics on my Mathlab. She's very accessible and caring. You have unlimited attempts on homework and quizzes until the due date. She would usually extend the date, and allowed two attempts on the midterm and final. The exams are almost identical as the practice exams she gives.
The professor is so nice. She responds quickly to emails or any request for help. She did drop a few assignments that had an overall low score for students. If you want an A, she will work with you as much as she can. Take her.
Mrs. Hristova is such an understanding teacher, and if you email her about any problem at all she'll help you. She's lenient on deadlines, and extends them so students who have fallen behind can catch up. Overall she's a good teacher with great student communication.
Online class: Not sure if it's because of online class, Professor Hristova seems to be not clear on her response. If you ask her some specific question, even with detailed steps, she won't give you clear answer of why or why not. I have asked her many times and her answers have been specifically "the text book clearly states..." "you are wrong.."
I took her for intermediate algebra and her accent was very difficult to understand, not to mention she moved really fast and I got lost very quickly. Homework was overwhelming and easy to fall behind in. Do not recommend this class to anyone with even a semi busy schedule.
I took College Algebra online and it's exactly like Algebra 2 in high school. All assignments are on MyMathLab and homework and quizzes can be taken unlimited times. The reviews are just like the tests except the numbers are changed. Plus, if you score 70% or higher on reviews she will give you extra credit on tests. I recommend taking this class!
Very chill and clear about what she expects. The class itself isn't that hard as long as you don't leave the work for last minute and practice. Watching the videos helped me alot. Unlimited tries for HW and quizzes. The study guides for the midterm and final are very helpful for studying, the only thing that changed were the numbers themselves.
Professor Hristova was very helpful, especially through this pandemic. She takes the time to work with you so you understand the information. Ask questions because she will move on if she thinks everyone is on the same page. Her accent is thick, but you get used to it. She's sweet and likes to include everyone.
This professor gave me all of the materials I needed to pass and made great powerpoints that noted the exact material you needed to know to understand each homework assignment. Being that it was a rush course, we had lots of homework but if you pace yourself and take notes this class will be a breeze!
She's a great professor! I'd say the one con to taking her is that she holds Zoom meetings at 7am and I feel that's too early, but that's just me. Utilizes MyMathLab for the only course and discussions about how to succeed in the class. Very responsive to emails and genuinely cares about her class passing. Allows you to finish assignments early.
Literally amazing, She offers zoom lectures if you need any extra help, assignments are clear and helpful, and she responds to emails !! I am personally not the best in math and I can honestly say she was my favorite math teacher. Definitely a good choice - Dual Enrollment student
There are 3/4 homework assignments due every Sunday, however you are able to continue to work on them throughout the semester. You always receive full credit on homework by answering "similar questions" all the material is there you just have to take notes. I have always been awful at math but I am able to retain information.
Professor Hristova. is a real gem! I swear This is the first time I've ever actually taken the time to write a review because U feel i owe it to someone to help them in finding a great math teacher. She is so sweet !! If f you actually do the reviews for the midterm and exam you will pass. Just make sure you communicate she 's so nice!!
Grades were made up of hw assignments for each unit, quiz at the end, and discussion posts. There is definitely more assignments compared to my other classes but they aren't hard. She gives so many resources to learn the material which is amazing. She gives review tests for the mid term and final, which help so much. Great professor and class!
Essentially, the best way to pass the class is do all the work. Mathlab will be what you will use for everything in the course, expect about three worksheets due per week, there will be discussions as well. Quizzes and tests are going to be based on the homework that is done through Canvas.
The online class is simple and easy to follow. Watch the videos for the math worksheets and look at the powerpoints and things will be fine. The homework was on MyMathLab but it always covered what was on quizzes and exams. The discussions were simple enough to do. Plenty of time to do all assignments and very organized!
Professor Hristova is awesome .Math is hard for those who don't put in the time . Everything is on math lab. prepare to work at least 15 hours, notes and text allowed in exams . She allows late work , until the end of semester, she has zoom meetings if you need help and there's always YOUTUBE, tutoring center etc. dont blame her if you don't pass
Professor Nely actually shows that she cares about her students. She provides study guides for the mid term and final which is extremely helpful. Everything is in mymathlab which she leaves her assignments open until end of semester with unlimited attempts except for discussion posts/exams. I would take her for all my math classes if I could.
A great and caring professor. Allows work to be completed well after the due date.
great professor
This class taught me so much and was extremely helpful for me. Her notes make things easier to understand and she is willing to take the extra time to help you comprehend a concept fully. She does have a lot of homework but they're all fairly easy and she accepts work way past deadlines.
took this professor two times. I don't mind her class, it's actually very chill. all work done on MyMath Lab. one midterm and one final. there are no due dates for the homework so it's completely at your own pace which i enjoy. if you enjoy learning and completing work at your own pace, i highly recommend her. plus, she drops the lowest quiz grade.
There were a fair amount of assignments, but I was also taking the shortest summer of the semester. If you stay on top of the assignments, you should be fine. I think there were also some problems on the test that I just hadn't seen on the review or homework whatsoever, but it wasn't a large amount.
no extra credit opportunities. Math is already hard and her accent makes it more difficult. She's kind but all over the place when teaching, I had to reteach myself everything after class. She does accept late homework assignments. Gave 3 assignments during thanksgiving.
Dr. Hristova is an amazing professor. She's caring, kind, and wants to help her students grow, and succeed in the class. As long as you do the work, and ask her for help when you need it, it's overall an easy class.
I'm fairly good at math, so the online course was easy but if math is challenging to u, don't take it online cause u'll teach urself. no extra credit but accepts all late work without deducting points, she was available for certain hours to help students, textbook is on Pearson n required. exams allowed 2 attempts, pearson offers great practice!
Listen I had to teach myself everything all semester. She moves very fast through the lessons, just gives more work if you don't understand & has heavy class participation by reading notes/ solving problems on the board. Tons of homework, 25 questions/ section and multiple sections a week. Upside is due dates for everything is last day of class.
I recommend Professor Hristova. She allows you to work on the assignments past the due date. She does have an accent but you understand what she is saying. The PowerPoint presentations and the videos and interactives were helpful. The assignments are organized and besides tutoring center, she has zoom meetings if you need help.
She is very sweet and will answer any questions you have and guide you if you just ask. There is a lot of homework but it mostly doesn't have a deadline so you can goo back and do it whenever. There is a mid term and final exam you must be in class for. A lot of notes and uses easy to understand videos to teach the class.
Professor Hristova's class is challenging but doable if you're willing to put in the work. She moves quickly, so self-studying with resources like the textbook, unstuck ai, and tutoring center is key. Late assignments are accepted, and she's happy to help during office hours.
She is a very nice teacher, yes there are at least four homework assignments to do plus a quiz and a discussion for each module. This class is very easy due to there being no honor lock on exams or quiz's. She let's you submit all assignments late besides discussion post.
MGF1130. She's a nice teacher, but the class is boring. She randomly calls on students instead of letting them raise hands, which made me not want to show up. There are about four assignments a week, but you can submit them late with no penalty. I just wish the class was more engaging.
Overall, I did not like the class I believe I just didn't like the material at all. She was not very good at explaining the material. Therefore, I had to learn myself overall this is an easy class as long as you will be assignments. You will have a good grade if you want an easy class and you can take it, but beware
She is sweet but there is so much homework, about 4-5 assignments starting the first week and they're long. She likes you to popcorn read and do problems on the board which takes up most the class and you have to self teach or get tutoring for most of the material. Spent $60 on the book just for a code.
Every week there is a set amount of lessons to get through, with one practice corresponding to each lesson. The workload isn't too bad and there are a lot of videos and resources to help out!
she was very nice and caring, but her lectures weren't the best most of the time you're teaching yourself in the end anyways. lots of popcorn reading and her calling you up to the board to do the problem which honestly didn't help anybody rather her just explain. all assignments on Pearson no honor lock on quizzes, but overall easy to pass
