She is very helpful. Im really bad at math, but her teaching is very clear and easier to understand. She gives you review guides for each chapter and quize questions are from there, so you should use it because it really helps you.

Very good teacher. She knows her stuff and is very clear in explaining things. Always willing to help, she will take time to go over any problems or questions you have. But YOU must take it upon yourself and seek the help, don't expect her to seek you out and coddle you. Her review guides are really similar to tests, so invest some time in them.

She is such an amazing teacher! I HATE math and I love going to her class every day. She's extremely helpful and is always willing to give you extra help if needed. She doesn't move at that fast of a pace so it's easy enough to understand. Take her, you won't be sorry! I promise!

Nemie truly enjoys teaching.There is a lot of homework yet she is nurturing and really cares about her students. She is flexible and finds ways to help you earn extra points. I'm really glad I am in her class, because I am very slow with Math and need all the help I can get. Her lab assistant, Luke, is a math wizard.

Easy class. I never went and got an awesome grade. Tests count for most of grade, they are super easy. She prepares you for everything. Definately take her if you can.

This teacher is very nice and is very fond of her students. She has a warming effect on you making you actually want to be in her class. She makes the class get comfortable by giving the students their own take in their assignments by not making them submit it until test time.

Very nice lady, very helpful, and wants her students to learn. Being a 5 unit class, it was hard. But Nemie does lighten the stress load because it's easy to confront her. She gives group and individual quizzes, and homework about every other night. Great class overall.

It's a hard subject but Nemie makes everything seem like addition and subtraction. It just makes sense when she explains it.

Calculus is no piece of cake. She makes this hard subject easy to learn and it almost feels like you're in a Math 90 class. Learning the stuff just comes naturally to everyone when she explains it. Good foundation for future math courses.

Mrs. C is awesome! I hate math- or atleast I did before her class. If I wasn't moving out of state I would definitely be taking her statistics course! She doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions- she encourages it. She also helps you out on quizzes/exams...she won't give you the answer, but will help point you in the right direction. A+!!

good professor, clear, easy to understand.

this class is EASY. you can honestly get by without purchasing a book. as long as you attend class everyday, and do the lab, you'll be fine. but pay attention in class, she pretty much tells you what questions are going to be on the test and quiz. getting a solid A right now, with barely trying.

She did the Souljah Boy dance in the lecture hall. She brought a boombox and wore all this lakers clothes and danced. Definitely a good teacher. Any teacher that will dance for you if you do good on a test is a good teacher.

Can't really say the class was hard because I already took the same material in high school so obviously it was easy for me...but what I CAN say about Capacia is she is a genuine nice teacher that will help you when you need it, lab times is the perfect time to get your answers. Plus she danced in front of the class one time, can't say no to that!!

Nemie is pretty easy going. The class is easy. The only downpart is having to do online homework using My Math Lab, but it's really easy. The tests are easy. She can sometimes go over things a little quickly but mostly is a good teacher.

she is the best. math labs help, cause her test questions are similar to the lab. just show up to class, take good notes, and do the labs. easy A as long as you do those 3 things. i prob opened the book 10 times, her lectures are enough to study n she gives handouts to study from.

She is an excellent professor; good at teaching and she loves what she does. She is very sweet and truly cares about the education of her students. She is very helpful and wants all to pass. I am doing very well in her class and I am not typically good in math, although one does need to study and attend every class. I would recommend her to anyone.

I loved Mrs. C!! I took her intermediate algebra class and I was very anxious going in because its been a long time since I took a math class, but I was pleasantly suprized! She took the time to help us understand and wants us to ask questions. Always willing to explain. She is a very sincere person, really cares.Drops 2 lowest quizzes! TAKE HER!!!

She's very nice and sweet and really clear. You can tell she likes what she does. She gives you a lot of examples so it is ingrained in your head and then she applies it to real life. I highly recommend her. I just wish she didn't want us to bring in the book...her teaching negates the need of any book. Don't buy the book!

As a math instructor Nemie is straight to the point on what she would like the class to achieve. She teaches the material clearly and with many examples. And if you are stuck on a concept, she will gladly help you until it is understood. Her passion for math is evident and I highly recommend her for those that struggle with the subject.

i took math 110, i hate math and the class sucked, but...she makes it way better.

All the homework is on MathXL, which includes an electronic textbook. Don't buy the textbook! You never use it outside of class. She it references a few times in class, but you can manage not worth buy. Just get the MathXL key and you'll be straight.

Ms. Capacia was an excellent math professor at Grossmont College because I never understood the concept of Algebra. The homework was decent enough for me to keep it up on time when the due date was near--which usually landed on a quiz/test date, too. I would absolutely recommend other students to consider taking Ms. C., especially if got questions.

Nemie is such a sweet lady. She goes REALLY fast but it was because she covered the entire text book. Don't buy the text, all homework is on Math XL and it walks you through problems easier than the book. I would take her again!

she is a very nice and sweet teacher. she goes over anything that you need help with. she alwys has time to help out the students. for the summer she is teaching 88, so i really recommend her for the class. you need to get the book for homework or just rent it from the library. you also have to get the application mathXL online for the labs.

Nemie goes out of her way to help people that need that little extra push or time. Good pace in lectures, great person and teacher. I highly recommend her as you teacher, especially if you have been out of school / math for awhile and need to reboot any math skills.

Nemie is an amazing teacher. She explains everything so clearly, and she's extremely thorough. I loved how she stuck to her schedule. I mean, literally, there were zero surprises in her class, everyone that was expected of us was on the syllabus. All around an amazing experience, and actually got me interested in pursuing a degree in math.

A very smart woman who really knows her subject. She takes her time to show everything, and really seems to care about student success. For the Math 90 course, she even supplies detailed "lecture notes" to fill in. There are quizzes, tests, and homework, but all are easy to pass if you comprehend the lectures and practice the material.

Very nice instructor. I took the "hybrid" online course at the tech mall. Attendance is mandatory, but work can be completed anytime and test at school. The class was good for me, but I saw several people struggling to keep up with the units. Prof. Capacia and her aides are very helpful and will work with you so you can pass the class.

I tested into this class and was extremely worried about since I hadn't taken math in 5 years and have always been terrified of math and turned out to be awesome! Nemie is so nice and will take the time to re explain anything and review concepts that aren't even taught in this class just so you can understand the new stuff better! Overall very nice

Mrs. Capacia did everything she could to accommodate me. I was returning to math after ten years and a brain injury, not to mention vertical dyslexia. She guided me to resources, and would spend time before and after class with me on harder concepts. I "spoke up" in the class a lot because others would not ask questions. She does go fast...

Ms Capacia is so wonderful, she never forgets anything, she wants you to succeed so much she is everything that education should be in math education. Especially with math 180 I was very intimidated but I found it interesting. She even lets you see her during office hours, she also goes step by step during lecture. patien I love you prof capacia!

A lot of help. She sometimes goes of and rambles on randomness during her lectures. She is very easy can be funny in a goofy way. show up and pass. A bunch of little quizzes and test every chapter. Nice lady. First month show up or she will drop you.

Prof capacia does what she can and more with the short class lectures! She loves to teach and always maintains a positive attitude with something as intimidating as calculus. Advice: just stay on top of each chapter as much as possible, even if it means being weak in one section try to grasp everything and do your best! Happy new year Ms Capacia!

I hate math but I love Ms. Capacia and the structure of her math class. 45min lecture every day + few in class quizzes + online homework + math lab tutoring after class best formula to win the battle again math. She s very professional and consequent. Take that class and you ll improve your math skills. U ll need the access code NOT the book tho.

She's a wonderful professor. She explains things so that you are able to understand. Quiz are taken by group. Tells you what is on the test.

Totally excellent professor. I would take her again for another higher level math course, but she doesn't teach the courses that I need. I took her for 110 solely because I needed it as a prerequisite for higher levels, but found myself learning things that I had completely forgotten about. I HATE math and felt like I did not understand it. Mrs c teaches in a way that makes it easy. The online homework helped a lot to. You have unlimited tries. But the practice of the homework helped. Take her!!

She made one of the hardest classes I ever took a bit easier and tolerable. She would always go a bit fast for me but that's because it was tough for me. This was my first math professor entering college and I am so glad I was able to join her class. She is very good when explaining lessons during lectures. Even though the class had many students she still took the time to answer everyone's questions. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing professor.

She truly cares for her students and pauses many times throughout the lecture to see if her students get it. Her lectures go by fast, but she does explain steps throughout. She offers alot of extra credit, gives out take home quizzes, and helpful review guides for exams. (no txtbook needed but the access code is must.)

Nemie was the best teacher I have had so far in my college journey. She seems to be someone who is there to help guide you along your path more than someone who is there to simply lecture you. She cares deeply about her students and gives lots of extra credit. She made math enjoyable for me. I always looked forward to her classes.

Took this class during summer intercession. Awesome class & awesome professor! Hands down one of the best math professors I've had. Prof. Nemie is very detailed in her lectures & she teaches in ways to make you understand the concepts of math. The 6 weeks went by quick! Theres 6 exams & 12 quizzes but she drops 2 quiz scores which help your grade

Mrs. C is the best math professor EVER! I had her for 110 & 176 and would take her again for 180 if she was teaching it. She gives EC and fair exams. With this being said, you still have to put in the work and study well in order to get a good grade. It's by no means an easy. If you get a chance to take her, do it!!!

lectures are really good. choose the class with the lab it is very hands on and she goes around to individually help you. a true gem of a professor! the material is easy and she does a good job explaining it.

I am studying at the USD and I just wanted to say that Mrs.C is the perfect math professor. The only thing that I really want to say is that she explains things extremely well to students, which is the best thing to have as a student. None of my professors at USD can explain things in such an un-complex manner like Mrs.C can. She is the BEST!

This review is long overdue but I actually miss having math with Mrs. Capacia! Algebra can be a tough subject for me but she explained the material so clearly. In fact, because of Mrs. Capacia, math became fun for me and is now my favorite subject. She is also incredibly sweet and caring! I wish all of my teachers would be like her.

I am one to struggle A LOT with math and took her for Calculus and this is the first professor I have ever had that cared a lot about her students! She is very generous with grading and in person she gives group quizzes which is helpful as well- she is also very understanding with situations and she made my math class enjoyable!! Love her

Omg! Capacia is THE BEST professor I've ever had. I am really bad at math, I failed two math classes and on my third time with her she made it so easy and understanding, she cares for you and your grades and want you to pass. 4 exams all with cheat sheet and final also with cheat sheet. Would take her again and again!

I haven't taken a Math class in over 40 years. Professor C was awesome! Her lectures teach you what you need to know to succeed in this class. She teaches formulas and goes step by step. Summer class was a lot of work, 16 weeks in 6 weeks, but she made it doable. I am so grateful for Professor C's teaching style and happy I took her summer class.

Her class was great. Very straightforward lectures and clear expectations. The amount of homework was manageable and her study guides were super helpful. The online lectures can be lengthy but she gets through material quickly and provides good examples. She was wonderful and I didn't really experience any issues taking her class.

Genuinely best professor I've had at my time at Grossmont. I took precalc in high school 4 years ago and didn't have a good teacher and was worried coming into this class. Mrs. C makes it so easy to understand and if you take the time to listen to lectures and do the homework you will succeed. So kind and understanding and cares about your learning

Professor Nemie was great at setting things up for the succession of her students. All her in class notes were great and helpful for our tests and quizes. The only harder part was the homework but on webassign you can look up videos and practice other examples so it was not so bad. She helps out in class and is very patient with questions you have.

Honestly the BEST professor ever, she has so many amazing qualities and I wish she could be my teacher in every class. Pros: She is so kind, she checks up on you and has A LOT of patience. Always trying to help you out. Lots of extra credit and does a phenomenal job at explaining concepts. Cons: no retakes or corrections, weekly quizzes

She is so caring and interactive .I love how she made complicated topics so simple and workable really fast. If you pay attention to her lectures, you will need little to no reviewing on your own. Her exam questions and quiz questions are also reasonable and they all help you to decide the area you need help in.
