Seemed really nice in the beginning, but turned into kind of a jerk after people kept showing up late, which is understandable, but do that on their time, not mine.

Cool guy, although he can get pretty grouchy quick. Don't be late! It would be nice if he would realize that we have lives outside the classroom. Isom 346 tends to be a small class size, so he will notice if your not there. Good luck ;0)

dont take this prof!! went into the final with 103% got a B- on the final and somehow ended up with a B in the class...WTF I dont know. Tried emailing him to see whats up and he wont email me back! DONT TAKE HIM you think you are fine then somehow get screwed over in the end!

Very nice professor, he brings food on special ocasion. His lectures are boring but you need to come the class for exam and homework on the last section of the course. He give extra credit assignment if needed.

Nice guy likes students who actually come to class,he takes attendence but says it doesnt count i think it does.h.w so easy the instructions are word for word how to do it but there is h.w everyweek week so long and counts!hes always there to help! exams dont know yet tell u when i find out!

One of the greatest teachers I have had so far. Everyone who says he is hard, probably did'nt go to class. If you go to class and pay attention you will defintely get an A. Assignments and tests are easy. Go to his office hours and he will help you greatly. He really knows his stuff

Not a bad teacher. Lectures are boring but its hard to make it intersting. Homework every week is time consuming but simple. Easy 15 points Tells you exactly what to do. Test are pretty simple. No one failed them in my class. Can be anal if u dont pay attention. Highly Recomended for 247

Jukic is a good teacher. if you go to class, you should have no reason not to get an A. if you prfer not to go to class, as i do, book is self explanantory, and homework gets turned in online eack week. take jukic, you cant go wrong.

nice guy,everything sounds easy do all the homeworks you should be fine,i agree with the other rating u go into the exam with a A and end up with a B or possibly less God knows,but hes nice guy very smart you learn SO MUCH FROM HIM! take him if your okay with coming to class,doing weekly homework, and with getting a B

He is a wonderful teacher. The class may at times be hard to stay focused in, but he explaines everything really well. If you do the homework you should be fine. He is ALWAYS willing to help and is a wonderful person. Tests can sometimes be tricky, but review your homework the night before and you should be fine. Take his class!

I strongly recommend this teacher. The material does get boring sometimes, but its not terrible. The class might be boring for some people who know excel and access well. I have learned alot and enjoyed the class, the tests are not hard, just do the tutorials. Overall, the class was excellent

I very strongly recommend this professor. He knows his material very very well and presents the info cleary. He is passionate about his field and shows concern for his students. If you are skilled with Excell and Access this course will be easy. If not then you will benifit alot an I strongly recommend taking this course early in courses!

I really enjoyed this class, it actually made me switch my minor to ISOM! Jukic is very cool, funny and welcoming. All you have to do is do the homework and exams. I aced all of the exams just by doing the homework and glancing through the book and notes for about an hour before the test. You can miss a couple classes and still be fine.

Even though I am a Finance Major, I found this class so interesting that I started recommending it to others. He's always available to help out with problems and make sure everyone does well He brings in outside examples from jobs to put everything in context. Understandable lectures and easy tests. Knows his stuff. Highly recommended!

GREAT MAN! He knows databases like the back of his hand, and brings his knowledge to the classroom. If you need help with something, he will assist you hands on during his office hours. There is no text book- he prints out all his notes into a packet, and you use that. Assignments are not so bad, just keep up with the work and you will do fine.

He is one of the teachers that has favorites. He speeds through some of the topics and when it comes to doing the hw it makes no sense to what we learned. He is willing to give extensions to some students, but sometimes he seems a little to arrogant.

I find it very difficult to get mad at Jukic, he is a really cool guy and great teacher. That being said, I would have to agree with the post below about favorites, although it was more just annoying banter throughout class with the same kids than anything else. I'm definitely not happy about the cumulative final worth 35% though. Pretty weak...

Jukic is one of the best professors I've had at Loyola. Extremely nice and funny and helpful. Manages to make databases/whatnot interesting, no small feat. Takes great interest in his students' educations, and wants to see you succeed. Homework gets you a ton of points and couldn't be easier. Ditto for MC quizzes and tests. Highly recommended.

I could give this guy a big fat hug right now....I didn't think I did well enough on the final to get an A...maybe I didn't..but I think he really considers things like attendance and showing interest in the class. Highly recommend seeing him during office hours, good way to show you care about the class and want to do well. Top-notch professor.

I am so in love with him! He is such a great teacher and really knows how to get you to understand what could be very difficult subjects. He's funny, really nice, but also gets you to learn a lot. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any class.

First of all, DONT BUY THE TEXT BOOK, only the excel book. he is a sweet cute man who tries so hard for you to love the class. The only problem is, everyone who takes any ISOM 247 class hates it. it is a horrible and boring class. But, ince it is required for bus. majors i would highly recommend Jukic.

He is very smart, but I think he has trouble explaining the material. You only use the Excel book. You get 4 20pt multiple choice quizzes, and 2 tests (the final is cumulative). The quizzes and tests are not to bad if you study your notes! the homework is a breeze!

A very good professor who knows his material. The thing that makes this class fun is the example he uses. It's clear he went around half of the world and experienced many things in his life. He's an interesting and funny professor which cracks a joke or 2 a class. Class is semi easy, homeworks are too easy, and tests are ok. Gives out candy.

He is a fair grader, and the class is fairly easy. Just make sure to actually put some effort into it and just not blow it off...cause it can come back to bite you. He makes this dry information sort of fun by throwing out candy in class and using worldly examples to further explain rather dry information.I reccomend his class, but dont blow it off

Great guy and teacher! He really knows his stuff and makes a rather dry subject relatively interesting. Don't bother buying the main text book. He puts all his notes on BB and takes quizzes from those. Passes class off as an easy A -don't be fooled. Actually study for quizzes and exams and do all 10 homework assignments and you'll do fine.

love this professor. don't buy the book but take the bb powerpoints to class. 3 quizzes, midterm is on excel and final is basically all the stuff you covered in the first 3 quizzes. do all the homework, he drops two but if you drop the first two because youre lazy youll regret it later.

Don't buy Bus. Driven Tech. book. Mine is still in the wrapper. Really like Jukic. He is very funny and helpful. Not intimidating at all during office hours. Quizzes and Exams aren't too bad if you go to class consistently. Do the homeworks! Would recommend him for ISOM.

Good Prof. The "Business Driven Tech" book is not necessary as he covers everything in his powerpoints and posts them on blackboard. EXCEL book is must. 3 quizzes, Midterm and Final. 10 homework assignments, he drops the two worst. Intelligently humorous and keeps the class flowing with ease.

Jukic is a great guy and he makes the material some what interesting. His quizzes are easy if you take notes and review them the night before. 3 quizzes. 1 midterm and a final with weekly homework that takes maybe 30-60 minutes a week. I RECOMMEND HIM!

He's a really great professor and is always willing to help. Weekly homework that helps bring up your grade and isn't too hard. He's really friendly during office hours and he'll even schedule appointments to meet with you. Really great professor, who cares about his subject... highly recommended!!!!

One of my favorite professors at Loyola. Easy course if you do the homework and memorize the powerpoints for the quizzes and final exam. He really wants to get to know all of his students if you go to his office hours as well. HIGHLY recommended!

Great professor. He's extremely funny and class is always entertaining. As long as you do the homework and pay attention you'll be fine. The quizzes and exams are tough, however. The questions are tricky and not always clear. He definitely picks questions that are obscure.

Great professor! I'm studying for his final right now and it is all review. Quizzes and tests can be somewhat challenging, but if you put in the time and study you will be fine. He is always there for help and is easily approachable. I just switched into the Business School and he is hands down my favorite teacher thus far.

Jukic is probably the coolest professor I've had at Loyola so far. He's hilarious in class and connects that with the information. I had no idea what info systems were before I took this class and now I'm majoring in it. He's super helpful and a great guy. Study the powerpoints and you'll do fine on the quizzes. Just pay attention and enjoy!

DO NOT BUY THE BUSINESS DRIVEN TECHNOLOGY BOOK. Prof. Jukic is a good teacher, and his lectures and powerpoints are straight from the book. Go to class and pay attention, and study the powerpoints for tests/quizzes. He wants you to succeed, so his test questions come right from his lectures/powerpoints

Awesome Professor! He truly made me interested in databases. That is great seeing to it that I am an I.S. major who is trying to discover career options. Also, Prof Jukic is such a cool and funny guy. I truly enjoyed taking his class. He is truly one of the best professors I've ever had in college.

Nenad is the best. He is one of my favorite professors that I have had thus far in school. He gives relevant homework, teaches through dry but interesting powerpoints and tries to make it intriguing for his students. He truly cares about his classes which makes it a really great experience. I would take this class again to have him again.

I thought this wasn't too hard of a class, but I do have experience in programming. HW is very easy, just follow the steps in the Excel book (usually takes 30min - 2 hours though). I have mixed feelings about Jukic as a professor, he's funny but has a big ego. He lectured the class repeatedly about cell phone usage even though it wasn't an issue.

This is my second time taking Jukic. He is really helpful and he really knows his stuff, in fact he wrote the textbook we used for the class. This was both good and bad. There was consistency between the reading and the lectures. But hearing everything twice got tedious. The tests, quizzes and homework are all fair. I'd recommend him.

Professor Jukic is a great professor and an easy A if you need one I took him for INFS 247 and 346 and received an A without really trying. The homework is due every friday and takes about an hour to complete. Prof. Jukic takes attendance every class but it is not a part of your grade, but if you don't show up do not expect any help from him.

Excellent teacher. Really made me love the subject and gave the benefits of learning the subject. Don't get the book, wasted 200 dollars. PPTs are the most important thing to study, takes questions right from them. Take him, you will not regret it!

He is a very passionate and knowledgeable about information systems. He will help you in and out of the class room with homework, labs, job searches, etc. Genuinely wants everyone to succeed. Gives weekly homework due on Friday nights but are all uploaded during syllabus week so you have time to do them. Fair grader. You get want you put into this.

Absolutely the best professor at Loyola. I could not respect another man more than him. He is so smart, funny, and care so much about the material and making sure his students get the most of his class. If you take one professor in the Business School, take him. Professor Jukic began the semester as a really personable and funny professor who cares about his students. 2 months in and he's turned into a sarcastic and arrogant man who almost takes pride in dissing his students. He does want students to succeed, but he overstates the value of what you're learning in class. 2 exams + a final. Lots of busy work

This class is HARD. Only one homework assignment per week (due friday), but they take a LONG time to do and are VERY confusing. Quizzes are very difficult and so are the final and midterm. But if you put the work and time in, you will do well. I did the bare minimum and never listened to the lectures in class but scraped a B. He's a great guy also.

Prof. Jukic is hilarious! He gave weekly assignments in which you had to complete a Microsoft Excel operation. I was required to take this class and although the material wasn't really my forte, I would take him for any other class because he makes the information come alive.

Dr. Jukic is amazing. I loved going to his lectures and he was always so helpful and understanding when I went to his office hours. Hes a little indimidating at first but when you talk to him one on one he is the nicest man ever. He was always willing to help me with class and other career stuff as well!

Ask him some personal questions because your destiny will be traced all the way back to when you took his class there. How does it balance, you should ask yourself... I took his BIS course years ago, and I'm trying to be as fair as possible, but, I just don't see how he helped me develop into the person I am today. The class was the usual but the biggest regret I had was going to Loyola when i had a wide variety of options, transferred later on and noticed that the quality is much higher at the school I transfer

Took infs364 with professor Jukic. He is very popular around Loyola and he is passionate about his work. The exams are hard and require a lot of studying. He is very helpful and understanding if you reach out to him. He expects a lot from the students and tests them hard.

Lots of homework, which helps gain proficiency in excel and some access. Tested on very little, so make sure to do well. All test and quizzes are multiple choice. Test are only on the excel and quizzes are only on information taught in the lectures. He is very accessible outside of class If you have any questions or concerns.

I have little complaints about Prof. Jukic. He is awesome, however the concepts at hand were pretty difficult. He is always willing to help his students, however he can be a little intimidating. Would take a class with him again because he is a good connection and because he knows what he is talking about.

The concepts aren't hard but the foundations that he tries to teach you is redundant and unnecessary. I'm asian and Buddhist-going to a predominantly White-european, Catholic School has definitely it's downs. If there is something I can leave for the next generation, it is to 'Learn truth bravely'.

He really cares about your success and wants you to succeed. If you don't understand something he try to explain it as many times as you need to understand. Tests are difficult but as long as you read the book and pay attention, you'll do fine. The homework is time consuming but very beneficial. He's hilarious and constantly cracking jokes.

Really enthusiastic guy, but for a core INFS class, ridiculously difficult. DO NOT TAKE if you can't teach yourself material outside of class. Grade was saved by practice exams I bought online, otherwise would have failed. Makes you truly grind to just barely pass the class. The homework and group projects saved my grade, and office hours.

Professor Jukic is my absolute favorite professor at Loyola. I learned more from him and his class than I ever could have hoped. He's really a great guy who cares about his students doing well. Jukic is a great professor and prepares you well for future infs classes. Pay attention in class and read the textbook! Grade consists of weekly homeworks, a couple tests and a group project. Does offer xtra credit opportunites. Go see him with any questions at office hours he will guide you with the hw/projects. Practice the problems in the book.

Take him! You won't regret it. He's funny and considerate. He will teach you the material and make sure you learn it, you have to put in the work but he's a great professors. But more than that, he frequently sends internship opportunities and is a good connection to have for future jobs. I mean it, take a class with him if you can! Im glad I did

Jukic is amazing! Great teacher, at times boring with the lectures, but he is aware of that. He is a great person, cares about his students, makes you laugh, and is extremely helpful if you need it. The class itself isn't too difficult. The homework is easy, but don't take the quizzes lightly, those make up majority of your grade. Open note!

Jukic is an awesome professor and person in general. The majority of your grade in the class comes from the homework & quizzes, with no opportunity for extra credit. Everything is open note, but the quizzes can still be challenging. Pay attention, participate, and take notes during lecture, and review your quizzes closely, and you'll be fine.

If you're taking this specific course that means you don't have a choice of professor. However, Jukic is one of my favorite professors. He can seem intimidating at first but is actually super nice and relatable. His class is extremely lecture heavy, especially the second half but he tries his best to make it interesting. Also, he sounds like Gru.

Jukic is a nice professor and will try his best to keep the class interesting. There is one assignment a week (on Excel or Access) so, make sure to complete and understand it. The quizzes are based on his lectures and the exams are based on the weekly assignments.

Jukic is a caring and insightful professor. He truly wants his students to succeed. The weekly assignments in Microsoft Excel or Access are straightforward, but the quizzes can be challenging. Be sure to read over the notes a lot to prepare for them. Also, his lectures can be a bit dull at times.

Professor Jukic is great! He is very knowledgable and his classes are a little tougher than most. I really enjoy his classes, even though it is tough because what he teaches you, you be great at it! As long as you attend his classes, turn in the HMW on time, go to his office hours, you will do fine.

Dr. J is the real deal. Sink or swim. He is serious and covers lots of material quickly, but don't let that stop you from taking him. YOU WILL LEARN SQL OR FAIL. Use his textbook! He provides plenty of resources for getting help outside of class and is very friendly despite his serious demeanor. I learned more in 346 than in any other class ever.

He is a great professor, but the exams & quizzes contain some trick questions. Go to class! It is a lot easier to have him explain the content & give examples than to try to read his PowerPoints later. He is extremely knowledgeable. Jukic always sends and reminds people in class that tutors are available to help, especially with Homework.

Jukic is the real deal. He can be fairly blunt and a little rude but he wants students to succeed. He knows his stuff. If you have no interest in relational modeling or SQL, do NOT take this class. You will learn SQL whether you want to or not. As long as you go to class and pay attention, you will be fine and do well.

346 is an in-depth version of 247 with some new topics including SQL. Although Jukic can be arrogant and highly favors those who speak to him during/after class, he is fantastic at teaching and his homework will prepare you well for tests. There are many extra credit opportunities as well. Read the book, attend class, and you WILL learn something!

One of if not the best Professor in the field without a doubt. He's strict but caring, he clearly wants to prepare you for the world outside the classroom. He provides clear expectations along with important and useful information in his lectures. Come to class and do the homework and it should be smooth from there. I would highly recommend.

Prof. Jukic is probably one of the funniest profs I've had. First day of class he takes a BeReal and a few months later plays 1D after Liam died. The class is difficult and he doesn't grade by much. Only about 350 points are possible in total. Make sure you study for the quizzes and exams because he does love to put a trick question here and there.

Jukic is a challenging but rewarding professor. His classes cover SQL in-depth - be prepared to work hard. Attend class, use the textbook, and try unstuck study for study prep. Persevere and you'll learn a ton.

The worst instructor I ever had. he intentionally make quizzes super difficult, teaches nothing of value, enjoy making basic ideas complex, and then has difficulty in explaining these trivial concepts. His book is equally messy, common sense coded as rocket science, needless 10 HWs, all use his personal site which is plastered with revenue ads.

Subject material is easy but he intentionally stretches and makes it complex to fit the entire semester. Poor teaching, lack of support made life miserable. All tests are super difficult on purpose, words are twisted to confuse you. TAs were useless too. I learnt almost everything using ChatGpt including SQL and homework.

This was a very painful semester with Professor Jukic. Every single quiz and exam is designed like a psychological operation. I am not even learning, I am just surviving. A super nice person to talk but teaching skills are not good. The class is a complete mess, first disorienting,abstract mappings (no clue why). He worked hard to make simple things difficult. I am a transfer student and I did not know what i was getting into. Others said he is "very good" so I enrolled but these 4 months have been the most stressful time of my life. Needless assignments on a dubious website, useless textbook, super hard quizzes as if time boxed riddle contest, poor teaching, lack of empathy, painful. Not recommended.

Professor Jukic made this class enjoyable. Taking a class on SQL and database modeling takes effort, I think that many people who struggle are those who don't come to class or do not pay attention. I got an A on every exam without studying because I showed up and paid attention. Will help you find a job too. Take him if you're an IS major!

This class had been a total pain, countless HWs, quizzes, abstract diagrams which have no real world purpose. Poor teaching makes situation worse. TAs are helpful but they are no subsitute for actual teacher. Dare ask questions, you are treated as lunatic. I got lured by some positive feedback about the class but it was anything but positive. It literally ruined my GPA. This class sucked up so much energy that it spoiled my grades in other classes as well. Very ineffective teaching, dozens of HW, tests and mind twisting tricks in questions to torment you. Do not take this class or instructor.

He is a nice guy, but he overcomplicates everything. His exam questions felt like psychological tests rather than exams. The final was three and a half hours long when the standard is two, and this class consumed an unreasonable amount of time compared to my other courses. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Don't get me wrong, Jukic is a really great guy, but his teaching style and curriculum is difficult for really no reason. You will learn if you want to pass, but you have to teach yourself everything. The killer is he does not release exam or homework answers so unless you understand all your mistakes immediately, you will never learn and struggle.

Lured in by good reviews, but this was genuinely the worst class I have taken at Loyola. I'm a good student, but this class was psychological torture. Impossible exams, crazy homework assignments, and boring lectures. The final exam was the worst exam I have ever taken. Lack of empathy and guidance for underperforming students. Avoid at all costs.

Words cannot describe the horrors of this class. It destroyed the entire fall semester in chasing countless homeworks and dreading the riddles in tests. Professor has difficulty in explaining simple stuff. Boring lectures, monotonic slides, bogus website with tons of ads and listless book make life even more miserable. Final exam was a punishment.

I would not recommend this class and prof to even my worst enemy. The semester was a complete hell, with ridiculous numbers of assignments and super hard quizzes. Teaching is ineffective and boring. If asked questions or raise doubts, you are looked down. Final exam was a complete torture. Avoid.

Nice person to talk to but his teaching skills are bare minimum. He reads off the slides and assumes that students understood. Tests are deliberately made super difficult by testing some micro-level details or play on words that were not even in the slides. Made us complete his class evaluations first and then gave a very tough final. Avoid.
