I went in not having a math class since 1986. He was so clear and deliberate I was so happy. He is very caring and he tells you day one" if you have math fears take this imaginary eraser and erase them today you will be fine." I never had a teacher for math like that! I graduated too!

Great teacher. He makes sure you understand by having us do problems on the board. Explains everything. No question is too dumb, he answers in a way that does not make anyone look stupid.I would recommend him. Can teach. Wish I had him before I wasted my time with Anatole Nikolaychuk...that tea

Mr. A is a great math teacher. I honestly felt nervous about math in general but he makes the process easier. Taking him during intercession does make it more challenging, but if you do the homework and ask questions in class you will pass.

Doesn't pick favorites...tries hard to get everyone to pass...answers all questions...makes class interactive and entertaining...take this teacher.

Mr. A is genuinely interested in you learning math, not just "passing". To simply describe his class as easy, would be to undermine his ability to teach and your ability to learn. He's fair, clear, and patient. He gives his students his all! If you want a good grade, but to learn as well,take Mr. A.

Very cool teacher as opposed to Mr. Hovsepian who can't teach. Knows how to intertain and teach at the same time w/o having poor results on tests. Very in telectual and erudite. One of the best teachers ever. Always understands your situation and is willing to help.If you wanna know math take him.

This professor will answer all your questions and solve any homework problem if you ask him to do so. He also will review the questions before the test. He never declines any questions. Has a great sense of humor and wants all his students to pass class.

A really cool teacher. He does copy examples from the book. But he is always helping students. He answers questions in class and always reviews before a test. He turned a test into a quiz when everyone pretty much failed.

Certainly take his class. The man knows his subject and explains well. He will answer all questions you have and will help you with the h/w. He also has a great sense of humor.

Professor A was the best teacher I've had since being at PCC. Hes clear, funny, and most importantly, loved and was passionate about the subject. Its a good class for people who dont love math because hes helpful and cares for your grades while helping you learn.

Mr. A is a great teacher even for summer class. He really cares about all of his students and encouraged me when I needed it most. If you do your homework, attend every lecture, and communicate with him on a regular basis then you will pass the class.

I worked hard in his class (he knew this), did all the HM & sat in the front, but it was hard for me to pass. His personality is irrelevant. His tests were different from what we expected. He isn't very clear in some areas but is helpful. Some of his methods were a bit confusing. I would NOT recommend. Honestly,take another math professor.

prof. abramyan is very helpful and he loves to teach math. he will listen to all students opinions. as long as you do all your hw u will get good grades on his tests.

The best math teacher I've had to date. He's willing to work with you if you show him you are trying. He's not an easy grade but you can pass his class if you are willing to at least try. He gets to the point and teaches math, he doesn't ramble on for hours about random things.

Taking a class with Prof Abramyan was a very pleasant experience. He is a wonderful professor that loves to help his students. Take his class, and really try your hardest you will be bound to pass.

This professor loves his profession and is here to help you understand the subject, not pass you. His tests are not hard if you do the homework without copying the solution manual and if you ask questions. Make friends with this professor on the first day because truly he is a very good man. If you don't mind evening classes, take this professor!!!

this teacher is seriously gifted. He is funny and nice, you can ask him a million times to explain something and he will without a problem. If you have trouble with math like i did and you want to learn then i def. recommend his class. Super Teacher!!!

Mr. Abramyan is a very nice teacher, but he doesn't seem to finish some problem all the way through he expects you to know most of the stuff by your previous math class. His tests are short so if you miss a couple your grade drops. He will not pass you if your scores are low. If you are good at math this class would be easy.

Professor Abramyan is an extremely helpful, caring, and neat professor. He knows what he's teaching and he's always willing to help the needed. He makes you feel confident when attending the class and he grades on a curve. Also, homeworks are worth alot of points in his class...so do them~they're like extra credits! ~ Take this class!!!

His lectures are clear and understandable! Test are based on homework. Do the homework, pay attention and you'll do fine! If you have questions, he'll explain it step by step until you'll understand it. I would recommended! +(drops lowest test grade)

By far best professor at PCC..I got a D last semester in math and had to retake it..and now Im getting a high B..professor is very clear, hw based on tests, will explain anything your confused about until you understand..Not a lot of homework too! Definetly take his class!!

LOVE Mr. A! He reminds me of being in highschool. He teaches PERFECTLY. He helps you during the tests! Armenian students beware don't take his class expecting to pass cuz ur armo! He barely speaks any armenian and he is harder on the armenian students so it doesnt seem like he is playing favorites. But he is the BEST math teacher!

Math is by far my worst subject, however Prof. Abramyan made it very approachable and finally made passing a reality! I love him. He is warm and funny and most of all, very helpful. The homework helps you study and prepare for the test, he won't move on to the next chapter until the entire class is ready. He is very fair and simply the best teacher

Very respectful teacher. Very good teacher and will help you learn Math and very lenient in homework. The class was a little behind so he lingered on some chapters.. which ended up resulting in speeding up the last 3 chapters which were new information and the hardest. Otherwise VERY good. Somehow I got a B even though.

Truly one of the most caring professors I've met. I felt I was doing terrible in the class, and I hate math, but I always participated and did my homework. Tests were great until chapter 6, then I struggled, and I'm sure I failed my final miserably, but through the homework and participation points, I still got a B. Great teacher!

Best Math teacher you can ever take. Crystal clear, Very helpful, and very caring; even when you are sick and don't show up he shows an interest in making sure you are better. Loves to learn words in all languages from his students. Simply the best there is. Drops the lowest test score. One thing though The final is hard. But you will be prepared.

Great teacher and very reasonable with work loads and students. Different from all the other teachers you can possibly take. He does not follow the rest instead breaks things down and makes sure you understand the main concept. Even if you hate math he is the best teacher you can take! COMPLETELY RECOMMEND!

He wants to help you and makes a lot of effort to clarify and explain the material. Hes a good teacher, can be irritating at times but in general a very nice, approachable guy. His tests are kind of hard to pass because the grade is out of such little points, but he drops the lowest test grade. just keep up with the hmwk and it should be fine

highly recommended! took him spring 2012 for maths 5a. FAILED at the beginning. About to DROP the class but discouraged me to gave up and helped/ guided me for the next test. In the end managed to get an A!

Ive taken teachers that can only teach to the B or A students in the class, but cannot teach to the average student. I've even spent countless hours practicing the material only to find out problems in the exam are different. This guy can teach math to everybody. He doesn't let ego get in the way of his teaching.

Mr. Abramyan Is a great teacher who only tests you on exactly what he tells you will be on the test. first two test, if you did the little amount of homeworkk he assigns, you should receive nothin less than an A. last towo test are slightly tougher simply because of the material. HOMeWORK is worth SO many points. take this class!!!

hes one of the few math professors who are humble, and aware that math isnt for all. he really has a persona you can feel comfortable around, he cares about his students the material is not hard but there is a lot to cover, if you work hard you WILL be rewarded, dont give up.

Professor A is A-MAZING. He really takes the time to get to know his students. Like the person said below me, DON'T TAKE NOTES DURING THE LECTURE. The tip is to take it after he is DONE lecturing. (He WILL give you however much time you need to take notes from the board.) I love him, HIGHLY recommend to those who struggle with Math. Kind & patient.

He is an overall fair teacher. Will work hard to help you and does not drop students based on attendance. Testsquizzes are not easy, but he makes the concepts understandable.

Mr. Abrayan is an amazing teacher. He is patient, clear, and understanding. It's obvious he really cares about his students and there is mutual respect between the class and him. Math is my worst worst subject and he is one of my favorite math teachers ever. He is so nice and understanding, and his lectures are not hard to follow. If you have any questions he is happy to work with you one on one to figure it out. Sometimes I wish he would spend a little more time getting questions at the beginning of class but overall great

Great teacher! More than willing to help students. If you do not understand something, speak up like other people do, don't nod when he asks if the class understood the problem. He loves to help and to explain it. Like he says, "don't be shy." Do the hw & study it. It will all be on the test.

It's a math class so it can be boring but he's a decent professor. He offers help but dos not have many office hours.

I took him for a summer class and he was amazing! Will make sure you understand it before he moves on. He also makes sure you watch him do the problems before you can take notes so he knows you were watching. A lot of homework but his tests are almost identical to the HW. His tests are also not worth too much more than the HW. He wants you to pass!

Abramyan has a sense of humor and genuinely wants all his students to pass his class. He's always ready to help with a confusing problem, and offers enough extra credit that one failed pop quiz won't affect your final grade. The textbook (that he doesn't like) is mandatory, so is attendance & homework - math takes a lot of attention, but you learn.

I took this class for summer and it was the best decision I made. Professor Abramyan really cares about his students understanding and passing his class. He is more than willing to help you out on the side and his exams and quizzes are straight out of the lectures and homework so there's no reason why you shouldn't pass. Take him!

Professor A is such a nice and caring guy. He is more then willing to explain things over and over again. He wouldn't ever make students feel less then for not knowing how to do a certain problem. I found his tests to be similar to what he assigned on the h.w. and I respect him for being so humble.

Really great math professor. Breaks everything down step by step and does not move on until everyone in the class understands and everyone's questions have been answered. But his final is impossible!! Extremely difficult!! Make sure you build a stable grade because if you depend on the final raising your grade, good luck..

I just love this Professor. I wish PCC has more professors like him. He cares about his students. He explains problems really well. He is patient and goes over things if you don't understand. He takes extra steps to help students. He made me love math again. This is how every professor should be like.

Was really caring at the beginning but at the end started getting really snappy. I aced every single test except the last 2, did every homework assignment, and know i did not bomb the final. I still ended with a B+ regardless of my effort in the beginning of the class. Its all simple algebra. He doesn't use canvas!

Took class during winter so everything felt rushed but he took the time to explain, gave enough examples and cared for your learning experience.

Okay so he's a very nice professor who will help if u ask but he does not know how to teach. He goes over the book examples and assigns you homework. The tests are a mirror image of the book problems so make sure to look at every single problem. He also drops lowest test score.

Very helpful, as someone who is not good at math, in any level, he really helped me achieve a level i didn't think I could. Through this quarantine, hes been giving it his best and you can tell he has a passion for teaching math.

Prof N is understanding and will respond to emails quickly. You can tell he is really passionate about teaching and encourages the class to ask questions if they are confused. Lots of hw but you can get full credit if you do well on the tests. Drops the lowest test and gives extra points for participating and showing up to class.

His lectures are solid. Do his homework assignments as if they were study guides for the exams!! He is so sweet and caring do not be afraid to ask questions he will explain until you understand. His grading is really fair. Make sure to participate for points (even if it's just asking a Q). Remember it's CALCULUS it's not supposed to be easy.

Sweetest prof, very accessible even at 11pm he'll help you with your questions. Participate in class and you may get the chance to earn extra points. drop the lowest test, but DO NOT miss the day of test. Gives partial credit even if the answer is inorrect. Put in the effort and participate, it's hard to fail the class.

Not the best teacher, but if u are coming for easy A and willing to learn, take his class, ngl his teaching may not be the best one in PCC, but his tests and final are pretty straightforward, just finish all his given homework and almost 90% guarantee u can do well in his tests.

Nicest prof at PCC, even at 2am he was helping me with questions. Class is 4 HW, 1 quiz, and 4 tests + final. HW is study guide for tests and due same day. Drops lowest test and gives EC for participation. I did bad on the first test so I had to really work hard to get an A. Take advantage of his generosity, he will help until you understand fully!

Really nice prof very accessible outside of class. Tests determine majority of grade 4 tests 4 hw 1 quiz and a final. Extra credit for participating in zoom lectures. Drops lowest test grade. Must complete all homework to do well on tests for A.

Beware of this professor. Halfway into the class went okay , but he started to speed things up and was very rushy half way into the semester. First half of tests were okay. Second half of tests, the tests were a lot more challenging then expected. He nit picks your steps - you may lose points from not doing his way. Be careful

Professor Abramyan is very caring and is always open to help students. His course is very lecture-heavy and point-based, so you must study to get an A if you have no background knowledge in Calculus. Very little homework with 3 tests, 1 quiz, and final exam.

Professor Abramyan is not just a lecturer, his a great mentor. He is the man who's ready to give you guys any advice. Whenever I got astray, he was a beacon that guided me.

Prof A will respond to emails quickly. You can tell that he is really passionate about teaching and he encourages the class to ask questions if they are confused. He will even explain/review the material which was covered in the previous math classes. Lots of h/w but you can get full credit if you do well on the tests. Drops the lowest test.

He worths 11. Pretty care for his students. Grades generously, drops the lowest-score test. He gives most of extra points in the first half of the semester, so be active in class around this time is a good move. The exam's problems are foreshadowed in homework. If you pay attention in the problems he solves and do all the homework, you'll be fine

Sweet and caring professor, but is fast-paced and hard to understand. Be prepared to do a LOT of studying, especially if you have a weaker background in math. He appreciates participation and asking questions, and will drop your lowest test score. Just do ALL the homework and study the practice exams and you'll do well in the class.

Summer 2023. Really nice and cares about students. Please follow along while he writes it's SO good I kept referencing my notes from this class while taking trig & calc. Although it takes time, do all the homework bc it honestly really helps. Tests are straightforward.

Professor Abramyan is a caring instructor who makes an effort to help students succeed. While the class can be challenging, his generous grading policy and emphasis on active participation make it manageable. unstuck AI's practice questions were a great supplement to the textbook and lectures.

Taking 5A this semester and he's an amazing professor! He gives us lots of time to finish our homework in class and gives extra credit for pointing out the mistakes he made during the lecture. He will provide partial points even if you make mistakes in your exam. Just submit the homework on time, show all your work on the exam and you will be fine!

I really appreciate that i could take Prof Nerses's class, he's really nice and good at teaching. Even tho i got B but i still recommend his class cuz you'll learn a lot in his class. He totally understands how hard for a student whose first language is not English, so i really appreciate his caring. Take him!!! GL

I was slacking the first half of the semester, so I think I'll get at most a B+, but he gives extra credit, very solid lectures, responds quickly, and makes exams fair. I'm honestly willing to bet my life he's the kindest, most caring professor at PCC. 100% take him if you can. I think he deserves the world.
