She has got to be the MOST unorganized and sporadic thinker that I have ever had the miserable misfortune to be around 2 semesters. She is all about the subjugation and objectification of Black people and women. She cannot spell, nor can she speak proper.

This class is horrible! Never take it! She is completely unorganized every class, totally not understandable, and assigns a****load of homework! Her tests are also all essays. I should be getting an A in this class but am fighting hard for the B. Avoid her at all costs! Better to drop or withdraw!

her problems with organization and tartiness end up affecting YOUR grade (i.e. blaming you for not knowing the changed test date, calling you to set up ANOTHER required meeting because you didn't wait 30 minutes for her to arrive, having no clue of your grade in the class, not answering emails)

quite possibly one of the worst teaches i have ever had. she was very unhelpful,unclear, unfair and i feel like i got absolutly nothing out of the class. it was a waste of my time and effort. material is easy but she taught me nothing,and made thesubject boring and frustrating. i pretty much b.s.-ed my way through the class and got an A.

She is useless. Doesn't help you at all in any facet of the class. She expects you to read her mind. She doesnt give clear answers to questions you ask. You will not get your papers back within a month of turning them in. There is a month left in the semester and I still haven't gotten either of my tests back. She is very unorganized. DONT TAKE HER

This is absolutely the worst professor I've ever had. She is extremely unclear as to what she actually wants for the class. I didn't receive a single grade back between midterms and dead week. If you like having no idea what your grade is for the second half of the semester, take this class.

She never came prepared to class, assignments and papers weren't returned for months, lectures (if any) did not make sense. Don't waste your time in this class!

Most disorganized teacher ever. Sometimes rude/mean. Syllabus changes on daily basis & you never know what?s due. Tests are do-able, but confusing & you will spend most test-taking time trying to decipher the Q?s. She isn?t helpful at all, doesn?t hand back essays for months, bad at emailing back. I do NOT recommend taking her class.

Absolutely terrible. I fought long and hard for the B that i got. tests weren't too bad, but they were pure essay. Class discussion required. she confused her two 121 classes EVERYDAY. she was always late. never answered e-mails and was never there for office hours - or showed up late. Worst professor I've ever had!

The other posts are not exaggerating at all. She's got a screw loose. It is impossible to get questions answered. She literally forgets from day to day what she told us to do and when. She calls everyone by the wrong name. It is pure chaos.

Absolutely worst teacher. She never answers email. Can't remember what she told each class. She is never there when she says. Her english is terrible. Our essay questions aren't even complete sentences or thoughts. Do not take her if you can avoid it. Everyone in this class is beyond frustrated.

This teacher seems like a very nice person, but she is very confusing and does not give clear instructions. For example, she gave us an essay to think about, and then she changed her mind and we didnt have to write it anymore. She seems to be nice, but don't take her class. literally laughed out loud to myself a few times in her class. it got to the point where it was just hilariously awful. the entire class was confused almost daily. pretty much chaos. hope you have a sense of humor, otherwise you'll spend your entire semester being very, very annoyed by the jolly scatterbrain that is chiwengo

If you like literature, then do NOT take this class. She does not hand anything back, changes when assignments are due,does not give midterm grades,and tells you when the test is the class before,and then sends you a review late that night(as in 10-11 oclock),she lost part of my test and does not answer emails or give any kind of feedback.DONT TAKE

How someone like this was given a doctorate much less a high school diploma is beyond me. She has no clue what is going on. Creighton should be embarrassed for keeping someone like this on their payroll. Class teaches itself as she doesn't lecture, only has presentations by the students.

This is literally the worst class I have ever been in here at Creighton. This teacher has not posted a study guide for midterms and the last few readings she assigned weren't even in the books we bought. I literally made an account just to tell you how bad this class is, if you were like me and this is the only class left, wait till next year!

Chiwengo is the type of prof. students dread. There is no clear syllabus (as she holds the rights to revisions) and the explanations of assignments are abysmal. She talks non stop without student input, and when she does pause for input the class no longer cares enough to respond coherently. Absolutely do not take this professor.

Its embarrassing that Creighton still has her on staff. Literally worst teacher I've ever had. She doesn't teach at all and just expects you to know what she wants. She talks about the Congo all the time too. I don't know if she ever really knew what she was talking about.

Ended up dropping due to the professor's inability to consistently and adequately describe the assignments she wanted. Different description of same essay in class, on syllabus, and on blueline. I love English, and large reading assignments are no problem for me, but this professor was horrendous- DO NOT TAKE HER. I've never been so disappointed.

Oh Chiwengo. This class is a pain. She doesn't follow the syllabus. You never know exactly what you need to do for class. She talks for the duration of the class. You never know what your grade is. We have had 1 essay and 1 test and we are more than halfway through the semester. Instruction is always unclear. The class is just a pain.

Terrible grades are arbitrary. Extremely unorganized. Test reviews don't even match the material on the test at times. Simply avoid at all costs. Take anyone else. For those who decide to take her May the odds be with you and not against.

A big part of your final grade is participation. She has in-class essay tests and grades them very hard. Theres also lots to read every night for homework.

Chiwengo is flat out HORRIBLE. She is unorganized and can be rude at times. She is never clear on what she expects from the students and never followed the syllabus. I'm surprised Creighton still keeps her around. Worst prof I've ever had.

UGH she is so difficult. First, she doesn't even know English - her essay questions don't even make sense and are all jumbled. She is very unorganized and constantly changes dates. Does not follow the syllabus. You read a book and write a paper about it (2 pages) and have 2 tests and a midterm and final which are essay questions. Very tough grader.

The worst professor I have ever taken. She never stays follows her syllabus and you never know what you're doing in class so you cant prepare for class. When you respond to her questions she won't like what your points are she only likes her's. Try and refocus her when in class otherwise you won't get the information. DO ANYTHING TO NOT TAKE

Avoid taking. She doesn't give good feedback on any paper and is unclear in her instructions. Class is largely discussion based. She assigned interesting books, but the class was not interesting at all. She also will call you out if you miss class or count you absent even if you're there.

She is BEYOND disorganized. She has high expectations but does not put enough effort into her class lectures. She has no written tangible way of studying. She is difficult to talk to and hard to reason with.( after a presentation she told me that I had done poorly to my face). She reads our papers aloud in class and critiques them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Chiwengo is the most unorganized and confusing professor EVER. She doesn't stick to the syllabus, never responds to emails, and doesn't give good feedback on essays/papers. Chiwengo is one of the worst professors at Creighton and the absolute worst teacher I have ever had. Nothing she ever says makes any sense. She uses improper grammar and does not even seem to know the English language herself, let alone know how to teach it. She is incredibly unclear, confusing, and rude and does not provide any feedback on papers.

I swear I could do a better job teaching than this slouch. She is by far the worst teacher I've ever had since grade school. I'm not even sure how this professor has a job at this university. She sticks to the syllabus even if that means giving a second test over not new material. She excepts you in class essays to be just a great as the essays you do outside of class. Test is unclear about what she wants you to answer. Gives information for exams and essays the day before. Do not take her.

I've not only had her for one class but for two. Probably the worst teacher at Creighton I have ever experienced. Extremely unorganised in her structure for every class. Seems like she's just winging it all the time. She seems somewhat capable but that does not translate whatsoever to her teaching skills.

She does not respond to emails; will tell you she wants more text in your papers, but when you do so she will accuse you of rewriting the book; asks students questions and then read parts of their papers out loud in class and ask them to explain themselves; does not grade anything; writes extremely long essay tests; gets upset when we can't finish.

The worst professor Ive had so far at this school. Will call out students in front of the class for missing a day, but can't grade essays within a month of submission. There is no rubric for any homework or essays you submit for a grade, your grade will pretty much be random. Somehow the easiest class, but will end up giving you a bad grade...?

She does not know what she is doing. Will ruin your GPA for a class you won't learn anything in. Continues to give new papers to write when she hasn't graded the last two papers. Then criticizes how they were written in the end. Thinks people should be able to write perfect essays in an hour. Gives no heads up for tests or papers. Cant use tech.

Dr. Chiwengo is honestly the worst professor I have ever had or will ever have. She does not know what she is doing. She does not teach or grade anything. She constantly complains about how much grading she has and does not make her expectations clear. She also had the audacity to accuse our class of "buying" tests because they were "too good".

Dr. Chiwengo's class is extremely disorganized in her grading and feedback process for exams and essays. You will never be able to write an essay which is scored >94/100. She believes all essays are not good enough, but she will never give constrictive feedback and will find ways to take off points in her grading "system". Worst prof. at Creighton.

Theres just too many things to say how bad this class was taught by her. Do not take her. If shes going to teach like this, she should be teaching maybe kindergarten at best. If you do take her, be ready for her to say an essay is due minutes before she says the due date for it and for her to blame you for her own mistakes.

Worst professor I have had at Creighton. In my advisor meeting while discussing grades I said my only grade below an A was in Chiwengo's class, my advisor wasn't surprised. Shouldn't this be an indicator to get rid of her? She is never specific with what she wants, doesn't tell you what to do to be ready, and doesn't tell you how to improve.

I want to start out by saying I love literature and English classes. This woman made me dread her class. She is the most disorganized teacher I have ever had. If you are stuggling she will belittle you, humiliate you publicly, and call you out in front of the class. I do not reccomend. It is impossible to get a grade above a 94.

I used the tag 'hilarious' to describe this professor. This is because it is hilarious how bad this class is. Yes. Every review on here is true. No. we are not just salty. Her class is actually pathetic. 10 minutes prior to writing this review she yelled at a student for being late, even though she is 5-10 minutes late every day. Funny huh?

Dr. Chiwengo is truly a mystery. She asks our class to be argumentative with her topics she throws into discussion but tells us bot to be defensive when we argue with her points. All of these reviews are true, this woman is the least organized, most chaotic educator I have ever experienced. Avoid this class if you can, if not its a good laugh.

I am shocked that Creighton would allow this poor teaching quality to continue. She has read exam papers from students out loud to the whole class, she has left us without a prompt for a "take home" exam and she humiliates her students. The only consistent thing about her teaching is that she never fails to find a way to waste my time. Do NOT take.

If I could give a grade that was lower than a 1 I would. If you take this class you will have no idea what is going on at least 85% of the time. She is super disorganized and blames all of her problems on us. I'm guessing she is one of the worst professors at Creighton because I don't know how it can get much worse than that. Good luck...

This teacher is not it. I did not understand what was going on a lot of the time and she is extremely disorganized. She never gave specific details on papers and the deadlines were never set in stone. Do not recommend.

I got an A in this class but I would never take this class again. Dr. Chiwengo is the worst teacher I have ever had the displeasure of taking. You will write three essay drafts a week, yet never have a clue what is actually due. There is no syllabus, no structure, no grading criteria and no learning in this class. DO NOT TAKE.
