He is a great teacher. I have learned alot from his style of teaching. He remember what it is like to be a student & doesn't act like he is better than us, because he is the instructor.

Totally awesome, he helps you with any questions, does not give a ton of homework and remembers what being a student is like. He knows we all have it rough and he works very well with you on that!

Ok so your class is 45 minutes you stay like 25 on most days. Super easy everything, tests are like 30 questions. Makes the class interesting and easy to understand.

The good thing about him is he wants you to pass, he knows this is a required class. His tests are a breeze if you take good notes and go to class, I never even read any of the books, but you will have to have some knowledge of the material for the written assignments.

Easiest class ever. Make sure you go to class and take his notes. Test questions come straight out of notes. Tells you exactly what questions are on test. I didn't read or buy any of the books and still got an A.

Very easy class. His tests could not be any easier. He gives you every answer the day before the test. You do have to write 3 papers, but he doesn't grade that hard on them. Basically if you show up and try, you will get an A. And you get to watch movies. Drinks a lot of coffee and it makes him sweat in class though. Kind of funny

It is very clear what this professor expects of you. As long as you show up for lecture and study your notes you will get an A on every test.

He took over the class after Drebenshenko disappeared. Had one test of the Hellenic period, and the Apology, that was worth the whole grade. Just take the notes, but in all honesty though he needs to make the exams a little tougher, it''s ridiculous how easy his exam was. I didn't even know we had an exam and I got an A.

His class is kinda boring but the topic isnt really exciting.. He is extremely nice and will help you with anything!!! I absolutely recommend his class! the tests are easy. he gives u a study guide b4 each test and will let you turn in a paper and he make corrections before actually grading it!!!

Very easy class. Tests are so easy. I studied for 10 minutes and got 100% on the test. The only bad thing is how he talks sometimes..he is very repetitive. He doesnt take attendence, but go to class becuase he sometimes takes attendence for extra credit when there is low attendence.

This prof made my life 100% easier. I didn't read a single book in this class, yet I can tell you about the Odyssey, Dante's Inferno, Confessions, and so much more! He tells you about them all, then you take a test. Very simple, and the papers are easier. Nick is an awesome guy: take him!

Amazing teacher. Nick emphasizes on key points for tests. Buying books not necessary. Very helpful with resources. Gave out copies of movies for paper resources. Take this class or take any class that he teaches.

Nick Barron is a fantastic teacher. He is easy to talk to, and he'll answer any questions you have. It helps that he adds humor to the lectures.

It's almost impossible to not get an A because of all the exra credit opportunity. Take Ethics with this man...His lectures might be a little redundant, but Barron has a passion for what he's teaching, and he obviously cares about the students.

Wonderful teacher. Very helpful! I had no interest in Philosophy whatsoever..and i was a little worried going into the class...but he made it clear what was going to be on the tests and gave xtra credit opportunities! Awesome guy.

Class is boring, he repeats himself a lot, but overall it's pretty easy and not too hard if you do the study guide and takes notes every day. watch a movie for days after each test.

Excellent Professor. Dedicated to what he does. He write his notes on the chalk board and this can make it difficult to read. Just ask what it says. I received 100% on both tests with very little studying. Just being in class is enough. Lots of extra credit for just coming to class. Repeats himself a lot, but that helps with the memorizing.

Easiest class ever! I never read the books, but I didn't have to. If you pay attention in class he summarizes them for you. His lectures are actually pretty interesting and he's fun to listen to. We always got out at least 15-30 minutes early for our TR class.

He is not only easy, but he actually teaches you the material very well! He is very energetic and enthusiastic and cares about his students. People who are not only looking for an easy grade but one of the best professors you can take, this is the guy! =)

Attendance not mandatory but highly recommended! He offers a lot of bonus for those that attend class. You're pretty much gaurenteed an A if you make a legit effort on assignments and go to class. Topic is SOO boring but he is definately passionate about whta he is teaching!

He is very passionate about what he teaches. And the class was easy. Not what I expected but it turned out good.

Loved him!! He is not only easy, but very clear! He often repeats himself so his students are able to get all of the material down for notes. Attendance is not necessarily mandatory, but he gives lots of useful information during lecture!! I also found him very helpful as to giving hints for tests.

The class overall is enjoyable and easy. However, most of the class misses half of the lecture because he starts 15 minutes early every class period. What is the point of having a time slot for a class when it is never followed? Otherwise, the class is cake and he's eaten too much.

Material is extremely boring, but he teaches it in a very clear and precise manner. Throughout lectures, he will tell you every single test question. No need to read required texts, he will tell you exactly what you need to know from them in class. Attendance is mandatory, and notes are the only way you will pass or get a good grade. Nice guy!

I just took this professor for a Summer session and really enjoyed it! Since it was Summer, he gave us 4 excused absences, but no one really used them. Since he is down to earth, he explains the content in the same manner, which makes it easier to follow and relate to. Amazing professor! Take him if you can!!!!! Just pay attention and do your work.

Dr. Barron is a great teacher. He is very easy to understand and makes the "dry" contect interesting and amenable. He will give you a review based off of the actual test. Just be there and pay attention and you will be fine. Recommend 5 out of 5!

He is such an enthusiastic professor! The class material is sort of dry, but Dr. Barron always tried his best to make things more exciting. He only allows six absences to class, otherwise an automatic F. He gives you the answers to the test. So all you really have to do is show up and take notes. Easy A! :)

How anyone could ever give this instructor anything less than a perfect review baffles me! FABULOUS professor! Learned so much in the class but was not burdened with busy or excessive work. Passionate professor that is very thorough in lecture. Get to watch two good movies towards the end of semester. Only drawback is sometime he is a little to thorough and the class is kinda set up weird. Easy A. No textbook either.

Dr. Barron has got to be one of my favorite professors of all time. He is passionate about his field of study. Show up to class, take EXACT notes, and he is always easy to contact if you have questions. He has a tendency to repeat himself a lot, but that makes the material easier to learn. Just take his class and earn an easy A!

ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE BEST PROFESSORS I'VE E HAD AT USI. When you come to class he has a chalkboard full of notes so start writing but will go through the notes in depth & tell you what to expect on the test. There are two major exams & 2 essays. Always gives extra credit & study guides. He is always willing to help you out. EXTREMELY passionate!!

He is a super awesome teacher. He has lots of writing on the board but he is a super nice guy who loves to help students out! He always asks how you all are doing at the beginning of class, starts class 5 minutes early, but you get out within 30 minutes. You get to watch TWO movies in the class, two tests, and two three page paper prompts.

He was the sweetest and most passionate teacher I have ever had at USI. I had him in a short summer class and felt like I liked him more than any teacher I ever had for a full semester. There are a lot of notes and reading, but that's what school is for! AWESOME FREAKIN TEACHER.

Dr. Barron is a great professor. Very Knowledgeable about the subject of Philosophy in general. He gives you enough notes for the exams and during review he gives you the answers. The two essays required at end of the course is based more on the content he lectures. The course: simple and he is lenient on grading. If you show up for class, easy A.

Nick Barron is extremely sweet and caring. He puts notes up on the board and everything you need to know for the exam he will point out to you. He starts class a few minutes early everyday, but lets class out early. I had him on Tuesday and Thursday, but he let us out 30 minutes early every day. He's fantastic and I would definitely take him again.

Take Nick Barron; you will not regret it. I had him for a Tu/Th Intro to Ethics course. He did not use a textbook score! He allows 6 absences for the semester, but he's very willing to work with you. He outlines the class for you on the first day, but he's so passionate about his classes that he often doesn't get as far as he'd like to. He said that we would have 2 quizzes and 2 exams (not including the final), but in reality we only had one of each both EXTREMELY easy. If you pay attention to his lectures (which are hard not to, he's so interesting!), you will easily ace the exam. He literally tells you what will be on each exam during lectures and the class before. Pay attention & it's an easy A. He starts class 5 minutes early but he always lets out 30 minutes early! You will watch 2 very interesting movies and write two 3-5 pages essays (but no sweat, he's a very generous grader and they're due at the END of the semester!). If he fits your schedule, you'd be crazy not to take him. Interesting & easy!

If you have to take PHIL 201, TAKE NICK BARRON. I am currently in his class, and it is by far my favorite class to go to. If you go to class, pay attention, take the notes, and study before the exam, you will do great. He is very passionate about his class and very easy to work with. You will not regret taking him for Intro to Ethics.

As long as you go to class and take notes you should pass this class with flying colors. He will go through things to study the day before the test. You write two papers which you can give to him early for corrections to ensure that you get an A. You take one quiz and one test and then the final. Also, you watch two movies. Barron is really nice!

Professor Barron is great! Although he repeats himself a lot, he keeps the lectures interesting. He gives "answers to test questions" during the lectures to reward the people that show up. You watch Troy and Gladiator in class in the second half of the semester and then write two papers due at the end of the semester. 2 multiple choice tests. Easy.

"Guys, at the end of the day," Dr. Barron is passionate about his field of study. He can sometimes get repetitive, but it may just be him trying to ingrain the material into our heads. Take good notes and you'll be fine. This class should be an easy A for anyone taking it.

He tells you exactly what will be on the exam in his notes, you do need to show up or have someone send you notes because they are not accessible outside of class. His exams are really easy if you show up to class, also the two papers aren't very difficult since its about the two films you'll be watching. He repeats himself A LOT in class. Easy A.

The best structured class! Short and sweet notes everyday and only a couple of tests. Super nice professor and wants everyone to do well!

I took him in the Fall semester of 2019. SO EASY. Make sure you write down the notes on the board! It's a little hard to read his handwriting but just ask if you can't read something. Don't buy the books either. Not worth it. He lets you out early everytime. 2 exams and 2 or 3 papers. You watch 2 movies as well. Easy exams if you study your notes!

I absolutely loved this professor. He makes the lectures so fun and interesting even though its a philosophy class. He grades mainly on essays, but gives the prompts months in advance. He's super funny and one of the most approachable professors I've had. Take him for legit ANY class you can and you won't regret it a single bit.

He's a very nice person, and a very different kind of professor. Easy class, but very full and alot of information. But show up and take notes you'll be fine.

PHIL201 was very easy. I bought the recommended books, but didnt need to. He lectured and gave thorough notes. Weekly quizzes that we had a week to complete. Very easy. Papers at the end were easy to do and easily graded. Very kind man. Sometimes the lectures were boring, but I dont mind to sit through a boring lecture to get a good GPA booster.

Dr. Barron is a wonderful professor to have. It is necessary to show up to class to get your notes because nothing will be posted online. 10 quizzes & 2 tests throughout the semester. Quizzes are simple if you pay attention and write down what he writes on the board. He reviews the class before the tests, and he is overall so helpful. 10/10

Take this class with Barron!! Super easy! As long as you take notes, you'll pass without a problem. The class consisted of 10 online quizzes with only 5-10 questions and about 3 exams which only took 10 minutes to complete. If you pay attention, Dr. Barron tells you what is most important and what is on the quiz/exam. The final was just two essays.

Very nice. Class is lecture heavy. Make sure you take notes over the lecture in addition to the notes he provides. Graded on very few things--basically two papers at the end, weekly quizzes (easy), and 3 tests. Don't need to buy the books because he provides all the info you need.

The class is very lecture-heavy, but he gives you extremely clear notes and even has you highlight future test questions so they'll be easier to find later on. He gives extra credit sometimes to the students who simply showed up to class. Lectures aren't posted online, so I would recommend going to the classes even though you get 6 free skip days.

He was a great professor for intro to ethics. You just had to show up and pay attention and you'd do just fine on the exam. We had some quizzes but they were open note, we had two exams which was the midterm and the final both were easy as long as you reviewed your notes. He referenced the books but they were not necessarily needed.

I took this class as a 5-week summer course online. This was the easiest class I have ever taken. The professor made this class extremely easy to understand and navigate. The organization of the course was very straightforward. As long as you complete the assignments, you will get full points.

okay this class was so easy it's not even funny. you could do all 5 weeks of work in 1 if you really wanted to.
