I took the Macroeconomics Online, and it was good class. You need to read a lot.
Awesome teacher. He gets to the point and doesn't keep you in class doing nothing. As long as you do your homework (which there isn't a lot of) and go to class, you'll get a decent grade. He teaches exactly what you need to know for the test and it's useful information!
The two previous comments are not true at all. I took his macro class and I didn't learn anything. he does let you out early but this makes it more difficult to get a good grade in the class. He favors his students and that's how you get your grade. If he dosn't like you your going to get a bad grade. He is a horrible teacher.
I was excited about taking micro, until I took this class. Bergans syllabus was disorganized w/several mistakes. He has NO participation w/online class. I learned NOTHING from him. This is definitely a self reading, self learning class. No interaction w/Bergan; not even when I emailed him ??, he NEVER answered all the questions. HE'S USELESS!!

Mr. Bergan is an awesome teacher,i learned a lot about economy in his class.he is the best and i highly recommend to take this professor.

He used a txtbk that's outdated and no longer sold at bookstores - but he said I could use the reccommended textbook no problem.NOT. His quizzes were based solely on his book and he refused to say what chapters IN HIS BOOK the study material was from. Answered emails, but never answered my questions. Just gave a sarcastic response. DO NOT TAKE!!
Whoever made the post below me is insane. His study guides are EXACTLY like the tests. If you do the study guides, you will get a 100 every test. Very easy to follow the class and the course outline/syllabus is crystal clear. This is an easy A folks. I took him online and it was great. I think I got a 98 or 99. Trust me and take this professor.
Does not answer emails. Gives 3 different instrustions for one assignment. low amounts of questions for quiz and final in online class, but if you know your material you will get a good grade.
This is the worse teacher ever, I had to file a grievance about him and I am currently awaiting an appointment with the dean. He is unfair and not very trustworthy. I do not know how they have him still teaching, he is lazy and he is useless, he changed the syllabus after a writing assigment was due and then said he never changed it. BEWARE!!!
I don't know why students are giving this professor bad reviews, I took this class online. Sure it is some work but he gives you reviews for the quizzes and there is one final. Overall I thought it was a good class. Online classes are pretty much "teach yourself." This class is no different. Take him, he's good.
The study guides may be what is on the test, but the material may not correlate with the chapters he wants u to read for that week (online class). He does get slick in his emails, but he always responded. Offered to pregrade assignments so thats nice. Overall, he is ok.

This was my first online course, and i earned an A. You must read and follow the study guide, if you do you will be fine. You also have to participate in the discussion post.He does respond to emails, it's just not the response you are hoping to get. I would definitely take his course again.
Not helpful in responding to emails. Will not give any direct answers to questions posed. Grading is different than what is put out in the syllabus. Doesn’t follow his own guidance. Will dock you for spelling and grammar errors when he has as many if not more in his posts. Asks questions to discussion posts that you have already answered.
Great teacher to take online. Easy! I don't know why everyone hating on him. He replied to all my emails the next day. I actually passed the class with the wrong book. I used online research to study.
None of his assignments are relevant to the book or study materials. Neglects his online class and does not provide help when asked. He does not provide make-up assignments, even in the case of illness or family death, which I experienced. I had a 4.0 until I took this “professor.” Save your money, time, and GPA by taking a different professor.
Should not be teaching at all. He states that with economics nothing is free but he make up test from the top of his head and promise free grades which he gives so I quit.
This guy is horrible, He is no help at all. Anyone without any prior education can teach his class since he takes no interest at all what you have to say. All his email replies sound like automated message. I doubt it if he actually reads any emails. Be prepare to learn everything yourself if you take him.

I took this class hoping to learn economics. He is a terrible teacher, speaks entirely too quickly. He ridicules student for answering questions incorrectly therefore no one asks questions. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS GUY. He thinks he's funny and it gets old QUICK. Heed my warning...
Honestly you would have to be completely insane not to get a B in this class. So much extra credit opportunity. Take the class online. I;ve only emailed him three times. He always replies.

Take the online class don't waste your time with this subject in class. He replies in a timely manner to emails and seems ok. Online class is easy. Use the net and you'll be fine. Grading is pretty standard and offers extra credit. REMEMBER TAKE HIM ONLINE, ITS EASY.
Tough class, but shouldn't be hard to pass if you take it with a good Professor. Professor Bergan was no help at all with me. His (online class) tests are due by Saturday, not Sunday. I e-mailed him a few times throughout the course and received little or no reply. If you're going to put money into the class, find a Professor who puts time into it.
His lesson plan is a train wreck (and I use the term "lesson plan" in the broadest possible sense). This pretender has no business teaching. Graded materials not based on required text. His syllabus has more patent ambiguities than Obungler's so-called foreign policy. Absolutely will not listen to reason. He is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
When taking quizes for an on-line course, it doesnt seem to matter what answer you give. You can litteraly be looking at the textbook with the answer in front of you and it will still be wrong on the quiz. I find it very interesting that I am not the only student that has had problems with this.
He was very helpful and answered emails very quickly. I wish more teachers would be like this.

He was helpful in class. I took him over the summer and he actually helped me learn the material if you had questions. You have to reach out to him, but very quick in getting back to you.

Good class and a lot of resources
This professor is super laid-back and cool. He makes the class so interesting and actually fun to go to (I hated my macro class, but micro with him was actually fun). He gives soooo many opportunities for extra credit and so much time to take each ONLINE quiz. Its almost impossible not to pass with a good grade.
Prof. Bergan is a very helpful professor. He is very detailed in his instructions for the class, but as long as you are familiar with them you will do well. There are many extra credit points available to earn. The hybrid class is convenient, main focus on online assignments and paper, and short precise lectures on class days. Down to Earth guy.
Nick is the worst for all kinds of students. If you are studious and able to self-teach, do not expect your hard-earned work to be graded fairly, and if you are not able to completely teach yourself from on out-dated, highly biased textbook, don't expect to learn anything from this class. Very disappointed in the time and money wasted on this guy.
Professor Bergan is great. His Thursday ECO2013 class was the highlight of a slow & boring week. His teaching style is what college is all about, & you learn from real world examples & by class participation as opposed to just copying notes. The syllabus is easy to follow, & the book cost me less than four dollars. He showers you with extra credit.
I took both a hybrid and online class for micro/macro with him same semester they where pretty much the same thing both cake recommend doing those discussion responses he gives you for the extra credit at the end you have to take a test every week or two to pass these you can use the outlines he gives you, the text book, or USE GOOGLE. goodluck
It was not easy class without a book and my own reading it I would have a very hard time. Professors gives a good explanation for the basic concepts. The meeting in class was optional but to be honest it was worth it to attend. He gives lots of example and interact with students. Quizzes are online (2 attempts) some answer you can find in google.
Really great teacher, hilarious at teaching but very clear at what his teaching. He doesnt stop moving, will definitly take his class again. Easy test as long as your read the chapters, you can use the book.

Excellent professor, always willing to help students out to make them understand the subject in the most effective way. She makes students think critically, with interesting themes, discussions, and lectures. If you are willing to actually gain knowledge, and properly write as it is expected in College level take her as your professor.
Do not take this professor online he does not care if you fail. You are up to yourself to figure everything out on your own. The Power Points are not easy to study with they throw you off in the quizzes. No matter how hard you study, it's not enough to receive a good grade. Only 6 quizzes, a paper and exam but EXTREMELY HARD. Disappointed in him!
Took this class online. Pretty much got a C/D on every weekly quiz. Unless you already have a knack for econ, this class will be ROUGH. My only saving grace was I turned in my paper a week early to secure the 50 extra credit points
STAY AWAY!!! THIS GUY WILL WRECK YOUR LIFE!! He does not care about you or your grade. I can't stress it enough, stay away. We have all had "one of those" and this guy is the king that ruled them all.
Nicholas Bergen was difficult to communicate with, extremely condescending, and a sporadic grader. I received a 0/20 for an assignment I turned in on time and which met all criteria. When I attempted to communicate with him I found him rude due to the fact that he was condescending and ceased communication after his first response.

Not clear at all in regards to how he presents online content. Not necessarily hard just wish things were a bit more clear to help understand material. We had discussions every other week where you needed references and it had to be 3 paragraphs long. He literally never gave me 5/5 even if I followed the guidelines. The closest I got was a 4.9/ 5.
Very dedicated and aware that the tests are hard, but he drops the lowest score and gives extra credit worth a good amount of points. He is much more fun in class than online class.
I took his class online and failed so i tried again in his classroom. Real cool and down to Earth guy and wants you to think more about real world problems then just your grade. His exams are tough, but he prioritizes his extra credit options because he would rather you show effort and time on your opinions about the economy and not a stupid exam.
This is the easiest class in the world. Professor Bergan is so helpful, even with an online class. You have so much opportunity for extra credit and the paper is extremely easy. You get two attempts on each quiz (6). I ended up with over 100% and didn't dedicate a TON of time into this course. Study his notes and you'll pass!
Very easy class! I recommend the online class which is full of extra credit opportunities. For those who will actually watch his lectures, he explains the material very well. It actually made it a lot easier to understand economics than reading the texbook. Weekly quizzes, a paper, and a final. those are all the actual grades.
Took online. All assignments/tests are clearly listed in the syllabus and organized. I was able to complete his class many weeks in advance because I did the work well ahead of time (it's all unlocked to do when you want). Offers 50pts EC for completed discussion questions, and another 5pc for course review. Only neg. he doesn't provide feedback
Great online course, solid subject matter, ample learning material with solid lesson plans. Tough cumulative final 4 hours x 2 attempts; very good class
He is very intelligent, however, very rude! VERY RUDE! He made fun of the students for trying to answer his questions... who does that?! But anyways, it's a persons choice to get offended or just ignore it. I had to learn to ignore his mocking. But other than that, the class was very easy and there was lots of extra credit. Good class!
I took Prof. Bergan for Macroeconomics prior to enrolling in this course. His online economics classes are very well organized and I appreciate the summarization of the course material through his PowerPoint slides. He offers a bunch of extra credit, including a discussion board that really helps you grasp the information in the course. Fantastic!
I took his online class for Microeconomics and it was the perfect studying endeavor for me. There was a lot of time to read each chapter and PowerPoint for you to do well on the quizzes and final exam. There's also an extra credit discussion board that can add points to the final grade. I might even consider taking him for macro. Great Prof.
Make sure you dont forget to do a quiz. Or else your grade will drop drastically.

Taking the online course the lecture powerpoints were not helpful, not enough material to work with to study the chapters, unless you read the chapters thoroughly. Very good professor overall. I took the online class which consists of six quizzes (sort of difficult) and the essay. It is easy to fall behind on the quizzes since they are tricky. Having said that, he offers so much extra credit so it is hard to not get an A. And if you ever need help, he is very accessible through email or in person.
I took Professor Bergan's hybrid Macroeconomics class at PBSC's Boca campus over the summer. The very first class he went over the extra credit he was offering and how he would grade everything. The class is very easy, and he always gave me goof feedback when I emailed him. With the amount of extra credit he offers, it's difficult to not pass.
He is a very straight forward professor. Very understanding and reasonable. This is my second time taking this course and if I had the chance to take the course with Bergan the first time I wouldnt be taking it again. He makes the topics transparent And easy To relate to. Take this professor!
Took his online Macro and I am struggling terribly. The syllabus is only thing you can trust; there are no Powerpoints, no notes, nothing to know what the next test is gonna be over other than what chapter in the book you can read. This means that you can, like me, take 5 pages of notes and STILL make a 60%. I hate this class.
Ridiculous amount of questions for each weeks "quiz" which I would honestly consider a test. There are no freebie questions. You'll have to dig through and understand the material from a 15 minute lecture. He shouldn't even post the video lecture and powerpoint because none of the answers will be there. Tough to even find them on google.
I am taking Prof. Bergan's Microeconomics course online through Cincinnati State. Although, the class was difficult at first, I passed once I realized all the answers were in my textbook. Lol! The class is not difficult, it just takes a great amount of studying and effort. You get out of it what you put into it. Prof. Bergan always responded on tme
This professor is the worst one Ive ever had. He does not actually teach his online class, he just relies on the Pearson MyLab platform. He also is completely unresponsive when you reach out to him for help.
I took his online class for an 8 week course and it is an easy A class! Assignments are so clear and easy you will not need to email him at all ! You don't need the book but you do need the Pearson code to do everything on there.
The lack of care and interaction with this professor makes me question the schools choice to provide quality education and instructions. This professor most certainly has a respect of persons and is biased towards certain students. No feedback and remained absent the whole time I was in his class. Online foolishness.
Im glade i choose him! His class is supper SUPPER EASY! Just make sure you do the work and submit it on time and you should have no problem passing. I would most definitely take him again.
This class is super easy and there is the potential to receive so much Extra credit. I completed both Macro and Micro within 3 weeks. I recommend you take an hour during the first week class starts to get all the extra credit out of the way. Definitely the easiest way to get Econ credit.
very easy and test questions can be found online. I actually tried to take the test myself and got Cs the first 3 test. would take him again but if your major has to do with anything with economics i would take it in class.... but this is also undergrad so maybe if your trying to just pass this would be the class for sure
This is my second semester with Professor Bergan and I have thoroughly enjoyed taking his courses. The class goes directly off of the syllabus, there is no homework, only quizes, one final exam along with discussion boards for extra credit. I highly recommend taking this professor.
Do the work on time. If you don't you will be sorry. This Professor doesn't allow any make up work AT ALL. HE IS VERY STRICT WITH THE NO MAKE UP WORK POLICY. So make sure to turn in your work ahead of time. And do the extra credit.
Straight off the syllabus. I found that I didn't need the textbook at all. The internet was more helpful along with his lectures/materials provided. SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT! Do the extra credit questions that are posted right in the beginning of class and it is impossible not to get an A. Not my favorite class, but very easy to succeed.

Express course so it was a lot. Only assignments:6 quizzes, takes highest 5/6, & paper. Tons of extra credit which helps your grade a lot. Quizlet helps for quizzes. Helps if you need it, but basically u have to teach yourself. Notes aren't that clear. If you want to learn, don't take him, but easy A if you DO all the discussions for extra credit.
Professor Bergan is very organized in delivering work. He's quick to respond to emails and the class isn't too hard. I took macroeconomics with him and was given six 25 questioned quizzes, a two paged paper, the final exam, and extra credit.
Do yourself a favor and take this professor. This class was basically 6 quizzes, the final exam which was basically another quiz, and a paper. Gives A LOT of extra credit (a whole section for it). You could finish the class in two weeks, all the questions for the quiz are online, I literally didn't use the textbook at all. SO EASY.
Professor Bergan's online macroeconomics class is pretty simplistic. He gave us the option to purchase the book on amazon for 5 bucks! Just read the required chapters and get the weekly quizzes done. There is one required paper due at the end of the semester as well. Professor Bergan also offers two opportunities for (lots!) of extra credit.
10/10! Professor Bergans ECO class was as simple as it gets. I work 2 jobs and was taking 4 classes this semester and I had a big work load but his course was so simple and easy. 1 25 question quiz due every Saturday at 11pm and 1 50 question final. Extra credit if you do discussions and course evaluation. Also drops lowest test grade! Great guy!
Prof Bergan's macroeconomics class was pretty simple. He has lecture videos to go along with the readings, but they are pretty messy. You are basically learning on your own. Six quizzes, one paper, and a final. If you turn the paper in early you get an insane amount of extra credit. Easy A, but if you want to learn you have to really learn yourself
it was an online class, it was not so bad. but it could have been better. i had C BECAUSE I DINT DO SO GREAT ON THE TESTS BUT APART FROM THAT EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.
The easiest class I have ever taken. Like 7 quizzes and a final. They are all multiple choice, doesnt get much better than that! He also gives you 2 attempts per assignment! I loved him. I actually learned from his PowerPoints too.
I took ECO2023 online and it was extremely easy to pass. Many answers are available online and there's only about 7 tests for the entire semester and that's ALL the work you have to do. This was super manageable and easy to get through.
Literally 6 quizzes and 1 final exam for all the assignments. He doesn't respond to any emails. I'm pretty sure he's mainly a professor at Florida State and just has this class where everything is auto-graded, so he doesn't pay any attention to the students he has in the classes. Terrible "teacher".
He gives so much extra credit. Even though quizzes and tests are difficult you can totally pass if you actually do the extra work. I was surprised by the amount of extra credit, it was basically just like doing a bit of homework. He gives 2 tries on the quizzes and the final. If you do the extra credit you can pass with over 100%.
His class is 6 quizzes, an essay and a final. I personally loved this, the weekly quizzes kept me on track without being too consuming at all. Though the class is online he guided the assignments well through videos on canvas. Lastly, he is strict on deadlines, but also understanding. All around, easy class but be prepared to do a lot of reading.
The quizzes are challenging but manageable. There is a lot of reading. The instructor lectures are not very good but there are YouTube videos that are very good. He does not respond to emails. You can use older textbooks which is nice. Got mine for $4. Overall, an okay course.
Class was 6 weeks with a total of 8 assignments and 3 opportunities for extra credit. 6 quizzes (25 questions each, lowest grade is dropped), 1 final exam (50 questions), and a 2-3 paper essay (worth 200 points). He doesn't interact / respond to students and his video lectures aren't great and his software is old. Google will be your best friend.
Professor always responds to emails. The assignments were a total of 6 quizzes with more than enough time to complete them and a final. Minimal work and easy work although you have to teach yourself. Would recommend and take again for an easy A
Do not take ECO2023 online class if you don't plan on cheating the quizzes are hard. A class where they will give you homework to understand the material is better. Although he gives extra resources, the PowerPoints are bunched up and come in bulk. You really have to break things down and take at least 3-4 days to understand.
Arcadia students beware: Doesn't even teach the class, he quite literally has an AI robot reading off a copy and paste of notes. He ignores emails and doesn't even answer your questions when you type in the chat during class. THIS PERSON SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO KEEP TEACHING!
It was an online class and only had 6 quizzes per week and 1 final as well as a paper. It was all very easy and the weekly quizzes keeps you on your toes. All of the work is open book and open note. Very simple and plain. I would recommend to anybody in need of an economics class. Very little amount of work required for this class.
Don't take him online if you are an Econ major. I read technically the whole book. There were like 6 tests (He drops the lowest grade), and there were some extra credits.
It's just impossible to fail. You Don't even have to study. Just go to class and pay attention.
Professor Bergan's ECO2013 is an easy online class. The weekly quizzes and extra credit keep you on track. Unstuckstudy was super helpful for test prep. Overall, a straightforward course you can coast through.
Mid overall. The class material was tedious and unintuitive. Tests are a large part of your grade, so don't fail them.
Puts no effort into teaching his students. Will actively work against you.
Bad teacher and will not help you at all
Tests are open note, but aren't accurate at all. You could confirm every answer with an excerpt from the material, and still get a 70 or 80. Most questions come from online sources (few made by him), but even if you cheat for every question, you still won't get a good score. Outdated, and won't work with you. Won't show wrong answers when asked.
she's a very easy professor, it's very easy to understand her material if you applied yourself.
Weekly assignments, including one quiz and one discussion post. Towards the latter half of the class, the weekly assignments were only quizzes. Drops the lowest quiz and discussion grade. No extra credit but willing to help. Quizzes are open note, but sometimes still hard to pass. Does offer help if you email him. Overall, very straightforward.
Not enough words. Uses Ai to grade, "teaches" dozens of online classes via course management systems that don't work. Any complaint he will actively try to make your grade worse. he lives in a different time zone than my school and he retroactively change the due dates to EST to drop me a full letter grade because I argued for credit on a quiz.
