Great Prof. Easy labs and little use of the lab manual besides the actual instructions, very little work turned in, but end up learning quite a bit regardless. Highly Recommended.
Awesome professor! Always helped me understand and interpret the lab results. Quizzes are somewhat difficult, but if you actually do the lab, ask questions, and review the lab prior to the quiz you will do fine. He is one of the better lab professors that GVSU has. If you have the chance, take his class.
Very good lab professor. He is genuinely enthusiastic about the labs, and very willing to help. There is hardly any homework and the lab assignments never get turned in. One lab report is due but you get an extended amount of time to complete it. There is a quiz at the beginning of each class but he makes sure you do well.
He is an amazing lab professor. He is very knowledgeable and really wants you to do well. He makes lab interesting and grades very fair. By far the best Ecology lab professor!
Science isn't my thing AT ALL, but Gressick did an awesome job in lecture. He makes his lectures fun with videos from the Nightly News that totally correspond to the lesson for the day and he keeps up with the times. Definitely not boring at all. I'd recommend him.
Prof. Gressick is an awesome professor. Lectures are not too boring; he makes them interesting and fun. Relates real-life topics and situations to the material, and is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. I would recommend having him!
Great lab professor! Had an 8am and dreaded waking up but I really enjoyed it. He was very passionate and informative. If you have BIO 120 MAKE SURE HE'S YOUR LAB PROFESSOR!
One of the best teachers are GV. The tests are hard, and it's not exactly an "easy A" but he will offer extra credit. FUN extra credit, like driving to the dunes to cut down invasive species of plants along the trail.
Best professor I've had thus far. Extremely willing to go above and beyond for his students, often offers extra credit. Overall a great guy, and is genuinely interested in what he teaches, but he also understands if you might not be.
Take this professor if you want to meet a nice person. Don't take him if you want a good grade in lab.Quizzes are near impossible to pass and he is a very difficult grader. He offers no explanation to grades received except that you could have received worse. I would not recommend taking this professor since lab is worth 25% of the lecture grade.
Excellent Professor! He knows so much about the subject. Quizzes are challenging, but he really wants you to learn. Very helpful if you ask for help. I would recommend this professor!
Great Professor! He knows more than any other lab professor and has a lot of experience in the field. He can name any plant or animal correctly without even thinking about it. He also wants you to do well in class and is very helpful.
Great professor! He knows so much and wants you to do well. He is also very helpful, although the quizzes are tough. I learned a lot in his class and would recommend him.
Great lab professor. Quizzes can be difficult, but he gives opportunities for extra credit. I would recommend this professor for future students.
Absolutely aweful professor. Labs are easy for me, but with him it was impossible. He was very unclear on the info. you needed to know, and when grading papers contradicted himself repeatedly!! I would never recommond him to another student.
Very intelligent professor. When asked a question, he always had a good answer. He was always clear on study objectives and cared for the other students. I would highly recommend him.
Great lab professor. He knows so much about everything ecologically-related and can identify everything out in the wild. Take this lab if you want to learn a lot.
Great lab professor! Quizzes were tough, but if you ask questions everything will be alright. He also gives some extra credit. I would recommend him!
Lecture is always interesting and lab is great! You learn quite a bit about plants, but also learn some very interesting and useful things as well. Most fun lab I have had!
This lab was tough, but he really knows his stuff. There is a lot to know in a short amount of time, but if you ask questions you should be fine. Also gave some extra credit.
Great lab professor. Quizzes can be tough, but if you listen to him, he will give clues as to what will be on them. He also offers extra credit. I would recommend him.
He often cut the labs in half to make them short and you can get out super early. He is very helpful if you stay after he will tell you exactly whats on the quizzes. The quizzes can be tough, but if you study you will get a good grade. There is extra credit at the end and he is a great prof! I would take him again!
Quizzes were tough, but ask questions and he will tell you what is most important. He also makes the labs streamlined so labs go very well and are clear to understand. I would recommend him.
Before this class, plants were not very interesting. In the process of taking this class, he made them very interesting. Great professor to have and I highly recommend him.
Great professor! I learned more in the lab than in the lecture. He was very helpful and was willing to meet with you. He really wants you to do well!
Best lab teacher ever! He is super nice and the lab is so fun. He will practically give you the answers if you ask him and the quizzes aren't too bad. My favorite teacher.
Great professor and class to take. He made plants very interesting and the labs are great! You get to eat plants in most labs.
Great class to take. The professor was informative but also brought info in from his professional work experience. You get to eat lots of plants you never thought you would eat!
I had Dr. Gressick for lab. He is a very nice guy, however he's horrible at explaining the material and what he expects from us. His quizzes are awful, and his powerpoints weren't any help in studying for them. He does offer a ton of extra credit at the end of the semester though, which is what saved my grade.
I thought the class was great and Nick knew everything there is to know about plants and animals. We had some tough quizzes and the first paper took a long time, but he did offer plenty of extra credit. I thought the class was very worthwhile and I learned a ton.
This class was taken as an elective for me, but I learned a ton about plants. Professor Gressick was hilarious at times with the material and made it fun to learn. Tests can be tough, but he puts together study guides. I would recommend this class with him!
Tests are tough. study guides are not really helpful because a bunch of questions on the test were not on the study guide. doesn't really speak loud enough to follow lectures well. labs were super fun and make you want to go. big time extra credit. attendance is not mandatory but super easy pop quizzes so attendance is recommended.
I was not interested in plants before this class, but now I am. The class was great, but the exams were tough. You have to put in the time to study. Lots of extra credit available though.
Great class to take even if you don't like plants. Professor Gressick is very knowledgeable and helps you if you have questions. Lots of extra credit available, but tests were pretty difficult.
This class is very interesting. Do all extra credit, even if you are getting a good grade. The tests are the hardest I've ever taken and the extra credit is easy. You get to eat in lab. Lectures are short, he rarely goes a full hour. He's always there to help! Loves to get to know the students.
Best professor at GV! At first I wasn't sure about passing the class, but his lectures were awesome and cool. He offers lots of extra credit. I wasn't very interested in plants in the beginning but now I am!
The attendance is necessary for the lab. With most labs and sometimes after he is done lecturing he gives you a chance to receive extra credit. He posts the lecture slideshows on BB.
The lab was tough with two papers, but in the end I know way more than when I started. Great professor and I would take again!
He's a good professor overall. What he puts on his quizzes and wants you to study can be very vague, and so can lead to you missing points on the quizzes. The lab was pretty easy overall though.
Gressick is a good guy. He offers good feedback but those quizzes are tough. Papers aren't bad at all especially when he lets u work in groups. Very ambiguous at times but if u ask for help its there. He literally knows everything about plants. Offers a decent amount of EC
Labs were interesting and for the most part, quizzes were straightforward as long as you do the labs. Good professor though and he clarified things very well if you don't understand the material.
I totally recommend him for lab. He was amazing and super chill. He plays music every class. The only bad thing was his quizzes. They were not easy.
He was the best lab professor. We didn't have to always do the full lab, and he would play music. It was pretty chill, and nothing super formal. I would highly recommend him for lab. There is a quiz given every lab about the previous lab for 15 points.
Tough quizzes, but lab was great!
Really easy class. There is quizzes for each lab that are a little difficult. Collects the lab books at the end of the semester for a easy 30 points. There is a lab paper, but gave 5 points extra credit if turned in a week early.
The quizzes were tough, but there were many chances to bring your grade up including some extra credit. The lab was a very fun setting as well and he helped a lot.
The quizzes were tough and made you think, but the class was overall fun and in a relaxed environment. I never felt stressed in the lab. He loves to explain questions and is easily approachable.
Easy class, the only problems I had were the tests were harder than you think, but he offers a lot of chances to make up for it. All the quizzes are very easy, mainly just opinion based. His lectures are kind of useless but he puts them on BB after class. Always lets us leave early and he was very friendly and relaxed! Great professor
He is an approachable and talkative professor if you engage with him. He offered two extra credit opportunities to assist and you will need them. My greatest complaint is his harshness of grading and quizzes. He is not lenient. His quizzes are mainly short answer and very specific on things he only mentioned once two weeks before. Two papers.
The quizzes are the toughest, but there are plenty of chances for extra credit. Two papers that are pretty tough, but good experience to write.
There are 3 exams plus a final exam. In addition, there are many quizzes where you simply describe your views on specific topics. Good class overall with a good prof!
Professor Gressick really knows what he is teaching and you can tell he loves the field of Biology. The tests are difficult but if you attend class and study, you will do just fine! He offers many ec opportunities. Prof. Gs class is fun and engaging!
Professor Gressicks Ecology lab was overall very fun and there were so many great things I learned. The quizzes were difficult, but he gives multiple other assignments and extra credit. The last lab was a lot of fun and included a scavenger hunt. Good lab and great prof.
He's a good guy, how ever his class is highly disorganized. There is no sorting of the tests, there are questions on tests that were not gone over until the next unit. When you ask him to slow down on the lecture he doesn't and tells you to look at the lecture slides on blackboard, yet class still ended at least minutes early
The class was very informative and we covered a bunch of hot topic issues with the environment. Tests werent difficult as long as you use the study guides. Extra credit is available and lots of pop quizzes, but they were easy.
Do not buy the access code for the class you don't' need it his test is based on the slides he does in class. Some questions on the test we did not learn till the next unit but tests weren't extremely hard. There are pop quizzes but they are opinion based like "what do you think of climate change". He also sends out a exam study guide for the exam
The ecology lab was a lot of work, but was really cool. We were outside most of the time and got to samples streams for fish and insects. The quizzes were the toughest, but not the whole grade. Two papers took a lot of work, but not that bad. Lots of extra credit opps.
Great class overall. Lots of topics covered. Three main exams and the final is just like another exam. Extra credit is available. Pop quizzes are given on random days, but if you come to class, you will likely get the points. Exams can be a little challenging.
Exams are pretty easy if you take good notes. He puts the PowerPoints on Blackboard after the class. Quizzes are not hard, but you need to be in class to get the points.
BIO 105 with this guy was great. He gives study guides and most of the exam is off of it and his powerpoints. Go to class because he gives "quizzes" which is really writing your opinion on a question or topic he poses at the end of class--they boost your grade. He gives extra credit opportunities.
Class was overall great with three exams and the final, which was just like another exam. There are many pop quizzes that are easy, but you have to be in class to take them.
Lab was great and was very laid back. the labs were interesting and the Prof tried to make them even more interesting. Quizzes were challenging, but overall other assignments were pretty easy.
Lots of quizzes most weeks with some other graphs and assignments. You do a lab report which is more intensive and takes more time. He is very approachable and helps you whenever you have questions or can't figure something out. I thought he was a great prof!
Nick is awesome. He is a great guy and super understanding. There are quizzes every week, but they are not your whole grade. If you miss a lab section Nick is more than willing to let you make it up in another session. Just be open and communicate with him.
Easy lab; Gressick is super laid back and is easy to talk to. Assignments are easy, but the few quizzes he gives are quite hard and you don't really know what to expect. Definitely recommend Gressick's lab, just study for the quizzes.
He was an easy lab prof, didn't assign much homework and didn't grade what was assigned harshly. He doesn't answer questions well though. His quizzes are really hard and are what brought my grade down because they're also a large portion of the grade. He didn't pay attention to our presentations at the end of the semester which was kind of rude.
The lab was really cool most of the time. You get to design much of your own experiments. The quizzes were pretty tough, but there is a bunch of group work. You also evaluate your group members towards the end of the course.
Nick knows his plants and can just walk up to any plant and identify it. He is a tough grader on papers, but gives great feedback and tells you what needs to be fixed.
Great class. Love learning about the Great Lakes and everything about them. Assignments include a journal project where you choose a topic about the Great Lakes and write about it. It is a weekly item, but you always get to express your opinions on it.
Discussion class based, so you need to participate in the discussions. Very laid back class though, two exams, but you get to explain your thoughts on the subjects discussed. Nice class.
I took a lab with Nick. Very laid back, will answer ANY questions, even if you have 500. Doesn't explain the labs very well and the lab manual doesn't either, so it can get confusing. You can totally screw up an experiment and he won't knock of any points as long as you tried and filled out your lab manual/pre-labs.
Very laid back class. Our lectures were at max 45 minutes and that included some videos. "Quizzes" every once in awhile that was just a question from his lecture or just something he wanted your opinion on. One project that you have to complete a journal entry weekly, very easy. No final exam, just a presentation on the project. Very easy class!
Class was always good and included good discussions about the topics each day. Tests were pretty easy, but included a lot of writing. Homework was pretty easy as well. Overall a great class to take with Prof Gressick!
He is one, if not the best, BIO 120 professors at Grand Valley. Lots of quizzes and a scientific paper make up the majority of the grade, but he will help you if you ask. He also helps out greatly by always answering questions and helping when needed. I think he is a great prof!
In my experience, he is very unorganized and doesn't really care if his students learn or not. He speeds through his lectures making it impossible to take notes, failed to give students a study guide for the first exam, supplied students with a study guide for the second, and then put slim to none of the concepts from the study guide on the test.
2 short article summaries. Show up to class, it gives you an easy 5-10pts every lecture. Theres 3 tests and they are HORRIBLE. He must curve them drastically. 5-10min presentations the last 5 weeks of semester. The class isn't bad.. he is cool.. just the exams are horrible. I still would take him again, I am fine with a C for little work lol.
If you have the chance to have Gressick as your bio lab instructor take him!! He is very involved and is willing to answer any questions. He is literally the reason I passed my bio lab. If I had to take lab all over again, I would 100% pick him again.
Gressick is a pretty chill guy. Our class was supposed to be 1 hour and 15 minutes every Tuesday and Thursday, but we almost always got out at least 45 mins early. His lectures are pretty boring, but he tries his best to make them interesting. He gives two tests which are 25 points each. You have to do a 10 minute presentation at the end. It's easy
Class was pretty easy as long as you showed up for class. Quizzes most days, but they are easy. Small presentation towards the end of the semester.
Largely a discussion course, but we talked about many of the current environmental problems in class. It turned out to be a very good and informing course to take!
Most of the labs were basic labs, but Prof Gressick tried his best to make them interesting. Quizzes were tough, but gives extra credit.
Way better class than BIO 120. Make your own experiments and do your own testing in this lab. Quizzes are tough, but many other assignments and extra credit to take advantage of.
Class was better than other environmental science classes Ive taken. He talked more about issues within the Great Lakes area, versus the normal worldwide issues that everyone seems to always talk about. I thought class was great.
Class was good and he gave quizzes in class most days. The quizzes were easy though. Tests were more difficult, but still not that bad if you study. Prof Gressick was easy to talk to about assignments and such.
Quizzes can be tough, but he helps if you ask for help with assignments and questions. Tries to make labs more interesting since some of them are rather boring.
Lab was great with Professor Nick. He really took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me understand all the topics covered. Would take again for sure.
Pretty interesting class to take. I thought it would be the same old stuff, but this one involved a lot more current issues and more local topics as well. I enjoyed it a lot.
Nick was a great professor and made the labs very interesting, even though some of the labs were a little dry by themselves. He gives extra credit and always answered my questions.
Bio lab was much better than I thought it was going to be. I had heard the lab can be difficult, but Nick helped me out a lot and answered all of my questions. I would recommend taking him for sure.
Lab is very laid back with pre-lab and in-lab exercises, but they are all very easy. Quizzes are a little challenging, but not bad as long as you study. Nick helps out greatly with questions as well.
Quizzes are tough, but lots of other homework that is easy. He is very approachable and answers questions. Plays good music in lab too!
Great Prof! The curriculum can be difficult, but he does a good job teaching it. If you are struggling in the class, he is always available to help explain or reteach.
He isn't a bad teacher by any means, in fact, his lectures are quite informative. However, his tests are difficult, and if you aren't the best note taker, it's difficult to prepare for them because the study guides only breeze over the content. Statistics show up in the tests frequently, as well as specific examples. Overall, not bad.
Awesome lab to take other than being early in the morning. Daily assignments really bring up the grade and help to learn. The activities are pretty interesting.
Lecture was good overall with interesting topics and presentations. Participation quizzes were easy, but the tests were a little challenging. Good class overall and very informative.
Nick was a great lab professor to take. He had tough quizzes, but he also gives you some of the questions if you ask. He was super helpful in answering questions and accessible outside of class.
Nick was really nice & made lab so much easier if I didn't understand what was going on. The quizzes were tough, but everything else was super easy & he was always there to help
Was by far my favorite prof. my first semester. He always helped people with their induvidual needs and made sure to answer any questions. The environment in his class is very casual and it made class even more enjoyable. The quizes are something you definately want to study for because they got harder as the semester went on. 10/10 recomend him.
Professor Gressick is a very relaxed professor. I took him for a gen ed and class was a breeze. Attendance is optional, but he does pop quizzes (1 question) every couple classes that help boost grade and are relatively easy if you pay attention during lecture. Read your assignments and due dates carefully because he does not specify in class.
I had him for bio 121 lab and I would recommend him to anyone! Hes a super nice and caring person. He plays music and will give you ginger chews and cacti seeds to take home. However, the quizzes were really hard and asked about very specific details that were hard to study for, and was a tough grader on some labs. But overall great prof!!
You'll love professor Gressick. He expects that you'll put in the work, think critically, write well, and study for his quizzes, but he makes it clear that he'll do whatever he can to reduce students' stress--not increase it. If you participate and take the lab seriously, you'll find in him a great resource for job/scholarship recommendations.
My favorite professor at GV so far. I had him for bio lab and loved him so took this class too. His lectures are not as fun but he adds personality and finds good ways of making things more enjoyable. You definitely need to study for tests but thats about it. A lot of times he didnt even hold class because we got through so much in one day.
I had him for my hybrid BIO 120 lab. Super chill and always willing to help. Played music in class and was understanding with covid. Don't skip lab b/c it is harder to makeup online. Didn't make you stay for the 3 hours and made conversations about non school things as well. A little vague on instructions for online lab, but responds to emails fast
I had Prof Gressick for BIO 105 (Environmental Science), and honestly, it was the best class I could have taken. He was so energetic and passionate about the material that it made learning easy. The material itself wasn't difficult at all, and he never assigned any homework other than three essays spaced out throughout the semester that were easy.
Great guy! I had him for lab and he was awesome. Helped out in multiple ways and understood what was going on with Covid. He also knew that the labs were really confusing and told us what to do in different ways. He is very lenient on his grading and time schedule. Highly recommend for Lab
Super nice guy, very laid back. He was a fair grader, the lab content was hard and he never reached out to help with explination though. Probably one of the better lab profs though.
Super nice makes a connection with students and always willing to help. Super laid back and never had a single issue with him.
Great lab professor- very good person and professor overall.
AMAZING!!!!
Had him for lab and he was such a kind and caring guy. He was a fair grader and easily answered any questions.
Nick is very helpful and cares about his students. Lab has pre-lab quizzes and lab assignments, but as long as you do them and attend lab, it's not that bad. Very much like this professor!
Very helpful at answering questions. He always says he was there to help us students and always comes through. Lab overall was ok, but he made it much more interesting and applicable to my field of study.
Main items are pre-lab quizzes and homework assignments, but I got all of those completed in the lab time. Nick is pretty laid back and is very easy to talk to.
One of the best profs at GV. He was super helpful in answering questions and explaining the labs. I would recommend him!
Gressick takes the time to answer all of my questions and truly cares about me doing well in class. He is a really good professor and one of the best Ive had at GVSU.
Overall good lab with Professor Gressick. He was very informative and answered all of the questions I had. Seemed to really care about his students.
Professor Gressick was a good overall lab prof. He was easy to approach and was always willing to answer my questions. He also helped us to look for future internships and jobs in our fields. A very good professor!
Prof Gressick is such a nice guy. He tries to make the lab environment as stress free and simple as possible. Lecture for this course can be really challenging and it was super nice to have a lab professor who taught the information effectively without the added stress. Great professor overall and I would highly recommend him!
Nick was a great prof for this subject. He was pretty intelligent and knew a lot about environmental issues today. I hope I can take him again in the future!
One of the best. He was very laid back and easy to talk to. Labs were pretty complicated, but he did well to explain them.
Nick is really cool and pretty laid back. He plays tunes in his labs as well. Weekly assignments and pre-labs. Pre-labs can be challenging, but the in-class assignments are pretty easy. He answered all of my questions really well.
He is a really understanding professor and wants the best for his students. He doesn't try to trick students and he will work with you through assignments. There is weekly (with a few exceptions) pre-labs and assignments but that is typical lab. He doesn't grade tough and is laid-back.
Hes a very laid back professor and I would recommend him! The only thing I would say is that sometimes if you ask a question about a part of the lab he doesnt always give a direct answer. Other than that I think hes a great lab professor
The best professor I have had. He cares about his students and is always willing to answer questions and is easy to talk to. You can tell he only wants his students to succeed in his class. Theres a big group project at the end that is actually really fun to do.
Professor Gressick is the best lab professor for BIO 120. If you can take him, I would definitely recommend it. He is very laid back, plays great music in class, and really interacts with the students. He always let us out earlier than the time for lab and was super kind and made lab a fun environment to be in. I wish I could take him for all labs!
Very nice guy and easily approachable. If you have a question, just ask and he will explain what is going on. Plays music in lab as well which is nice. Weekly assignments, but most of those are pretty easy. I would recommend him!
Best lab professor I've ever had!!! He is always willing to answer questions and makes the labs as easy and simple as he can for his students. The labs never took the full class time, and honestly he made them pretty fun. The class was engaging and fun and I highly recommend taking him. He gets close with his students and is very approachable.
I loved Prof. Gressick. He made lab super easy, and my group was always out after about an hour or so. If you can take him, I would definitely recommend!
Prof Gressick was awesome! He was always trying to help and answer questions when students had them. Brought in cacti from his garden to give to students. Always played music in lab. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Gressick was amazing, he would play indie music all of class and would help as much as he could to get us out early. He's very genuine and straightfoward and enjoys talking and connecting to his students. Very easy class and I would 100% recommend him for Bio120 lab.
I would recommend any student to have him as a lab professor. He is very clear with instructions and his gradebook has been very clear since the beginning of the course. Very approachable and answers any questions we have with a clear answer.
PROFESSOR GRESSICK WAS QUITE LITERALLY THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD AND IM PRETTY SURE NO PROFESSOR WILL EVER BE BETTER! He was very open to helping when necessary. He was funny and always very engaged! if you have to take bio 120 lab take it with professor Gressick
Absolute G. Lab never took the whole time and it was great
Excellent professor to have for BIO 120 lab. He gave lots of help when asked questions and took the time to go through each question if needed. He was very laid back and played lots of good tunes in lab as well.
Very helpful and always guides us through each worksheet step by step. Very much would take him again and I'd say he is one of the best professors at Grand Valley!
Professor Gressick is amazing. Always took you through the work step by step, always ready to help and answer questions and loves to talk to students. Feedback is always given on how to better your lab scores. One of the best professors here at GV.
Professor Gressick was an amazing professor . He always took the time to help us step by step if we needed. He made the class very enjoyable. He is just overall not just a great professor but a great person also! I would highly recommend for anyone taking BIO 120 you will not regret it.
Prof Gressick is a laid-back but helpful instructor. The labs can be tricky, but he explains concepts well. I found unstuck ai useful for prepping, along with the textbook and study sessions.
Super chill dude, great at teaching, and has such a positive energy overall. He is always willing to help with any question. Makes lab fun and does everything he can for us to work efficiently. I truly recommend taking his lab.
This professor is awesome! He makes bio lab so easy by explaining everything thoroughly and he will ALWAYS help everyone out whenever anyone asks. He's a good grader and gives plenty of time to finish assignments. Take him if you have bio 120 lab, you won't regret it!
He's an amazing lab prof! Super helpful whenever you ask the smallest question, always ready to help whenever. Very chill, funny, overall a great guy. I hope I have the opportunity to be in his class again in the future. 11/10 would recommend.
He is really caring and always helps when he could. Plays great music in lab and is very approachable if you need assistance.
He is awesome and honest one of the best professors at GVSU. He knows a lot about biology and botany and always helped students if they were stuck. I recommend him fully!
Best lab professor ever, loves and cares for his students
He's great, I had him fall 2024. He's super helpful, explains everything before lab starts, and answers questions during lab if you have any. He lets table groups work together, so the labs usually don't take the whole class time. The only textbook needed is the lab manual, which is used to take the pre-lab quizzes.
He was a really good prof. Labs were very laid back and he was readily available to answer questions. Really just an overall good guy. I recommend him for sure.
Professor Gressick is one if not the best professor at GV. He was really nice, helped with questions, and played some good tunes in lab. Highly recommended!!
Nick is awesome! Great professor and a great person that truly cares about us.
Prof G was a great professor and was easy to talk to and ask questions. He helped me any time I had questions. Recommend very highly!
Honestly the best lab professor you can ask for. 3 hour lab but was usually 1-2 hours. Doesn't talk forever just runs through how to do it and then lets you get to work. Answers all your questions and will legit give you the answer if you're stuck. Labs were all very easy and he's so so nice. Take him for bio 120 he's the best and so personable.
He is an amazing professor, labs are great, and he's very understanding if classed is missed for any reason. I would take him as a professor again. He is also good at explaining things the way we can understand it the most, and he's is very open to ideas.
Just awesome all around. Great person with a very positive attitude. Answers questions very well and explains stuff well. Enough said.
He is awesome. My favorite professor by far.
One of the best, if not the best profesor at GVSU!
Best lab professor ever. He runs through how to do the lab and then lets you work, which lets us get out in an 1-2 hrs. He answers questions and helps you out when stuck. Labs were easy and he's so kind and patient. He like to talk to students as lab goes on throughout the class and has some great stories. By far one of my favorite professors.
I love Professor Gressick. I switched from one professor to him and it was the best decision I made. He made this class so engaging and enjoyable. I would suggest him to anyone that needs to take a biology lab.
