I had Irons for 3 classes, he is an outstanding teacher. My advice, read the paper, raise your hand every day with extra credit discussion topics, and you will get bumped up a letter grade you get at the end of the semester. Don't sweat the oral presentation, its easy, you dont have to list your sources, + overhead projection slides help alot.

Outstanding professor, best i've had law related. He can be strict and repeats his stories sometimes but is all around a really cool former cop. If your a CJ major at CCM make sure you take Irons at least once, you wont be disapointed. Nearly impossiple to fail his class provided you show up and study. No homework and the presentation is so easy!!!

One of the best professors at CCM. Very clear, very helpful, and the best part is that he makes the class fun. His exams are based on what he goes over in the notes (which, unfortunately, is a principle that a lot of other professors don't follow). Definitely a cool class.

Best class I took all semester. Take notes on his powerpoints, because that's what the tests are on, and do the extra credit every class and you'll have no problems passing at all. Makes class fun, definitely would take him again.

Prof. Irons is without a doubt the best teacher. really cares about his students. makes the class fun with his stories and always offers to help you if you need it. Be sure to write notes cuz he doesnt give study guides. but overall excellent teacher and is generally a great role model.

The man is a legend. On top of being an outstanding professor, he is the coordinator of the best department at CCM. Criminal Justice at county is second to none. Whatever CJ instructor you have, you can't go wrong.

Easy class. Very basic beginner course to Criminal Justice. Very good teacher, makes everything fun and can relate topics to real life scenarios because he was a cop. Very helpful and lenient on grading and tardiness at least for summer courses. He creates a fun, intimate class room setting not just a dead silent-listen to a lecture for 2 hrs class

BEST. CLASS. EVER. Professor Irons is a sweet and funny man who cares for his students. You have to TRY to fail his class, many oppurtunities for extra credit! I enjoy his class so much I'll be taking another class taught by him next semester. He will do his best to help you out and I'm glad I took his class, he made going to CCM bettr for me.

Awesome Professor! very sweet and cares about students. He will help you with anything, heart of gold. He is also hysterical. Like everyone else said lots of extra credit opportunities. You do have to look over your notes before the test, but this is college. Favorite Professor!! :)

He is a really funny guy and a great teacher, but read the textbook! His tests usually have nothing to do with the notes you take in class. Also, you will get out of class about 30 minutes early each day. Attendance is not mandatory, but he will give you extra credit if you have perfect attendance.

Get extra credit for saying a current event every class; it lifts up your grade after 15 I believe. Just tests and one presentation. Amazing professor!! Reading is completely optional. Every class had 30-40 min lecture and anything in red on the powerpoint was going to be on the test. Only 2 tests plus the final. Extra credit offered. He's helpful with personal questions about getting a job as well as questions from class. Taking him again next semester!

When giving notes, whats in red will be on the test but you also will need to read the book a little to help. Other than that great teacher, but grades a little hard on the presenting.

One of the few greatest teachers that I have had, he's fair grading, his lectures are very understandable, and gives the best personal experience stories relating the topics he talks about, I have taken him twice and will definitely take him again!

Irons is one of the funniest guys I have ever met. He's a great professor and it's impossible to have a bad day the day you have his class. I am not a huge fan of the school, but I looked forward to this class every week. His old police stories are just as interesting as they are hilarious and he involves the whole class so expect to make friends.

This man genuinely cares about his students, and loves them like his own kids. He's a great person, and he's just funny as all hell. 350 characters isn't enough for me to tell you how amazing this guy is. I've learned a lot from him and he has interesting stories from when he was an officer. Take his class, I promise you won't regret it.

It was a pretty good class and Irons was really funny. We got extra credit for talking about current crimes. All his tests are straight from quizzlet but they are a little challenging. I did well on my tests and the presentation near the end of the semester so he said I didn't have to take the final or come to class anymore.
