Weeks is an awesome teacher. if you can get by how fast he talks at times you will like his class. he tells you exactly what to study for tests and he is pretty funny. I would take him again.
I really wasnt looking forward to taking this class but he made it interesting and i actually didn't mind going. He makes it interactive and is REALLy hot. I'll definitely take his classes in the future.
Nick weeks is the essence of what you look for in a professor, he is charming, honest, and fair. He leaves you with a sweet taste in your mouth after every class. Plus, he's not so bad to look at if you know what I mean! All kidding aside, I would recommend him to anyone as an excellent history professor!
like others said, i took this class just cuz i had to, but it ended up being way more interesting than i expected. weeks encourages debate and discussion, which made it fun.
Prof Weeks is good. As long as you pay attention to his lecture, you will know what will be on the exam. There are no surprises, he lays it out for you. He has a lot of energy, and is actually kind of funny. He does talk pretty fast, so be prepared. He is a fun teacher, and kind of a smart ass...which made things interesting.
Nick Weeks in an awesome professor. He's a smart ass which makes his lectures really interesting and fun. He has lots of energy and he's ALWAYS helpful. He responds to emails and makes sure you know the exact materials for the test. I learned a lot in his class.
great class i wish i could take him again. Weeks is funny and entertaining even at 8 in the morning. if you do bad in his class you are a moron because he tells you the questions the week before the test.
i agree with the others. i had fun in his class even though history is boring. he picks cool topics to talk about and brough donuts to class. just don't tell him you like coke better then pepsi lol!!!
dont buy the text book - he gies you enough handouts to get by on. gives lots of makeups to if yu miss tests or homework. very funny
Really great teacher and person. Has really helped me out a lot and I know he cares about his students. Very funny. Mr. Weeks is the best!
Awesome guy. I actually learn stuff and its easy to get an A. he is great at relating old history into modern terms. Talks real fast but he lets you email him before tests with any questions.
extemely helpful. tells you exactly what he wants in size 30 font lol. he also answers emails really fast and is always offering his help on whatever. fun class.
Cool teacher. loves telling stories about himself but knows how to keep you entertained and awake. He really knows his stuff for being such a young teacher. if you have to suffer through a history class at GCC take Weeks!
best GCC has to offer that's for sure. really enjoyed his class.
Do EXACTLY what he says and you'll get an easy A. Really helpful and easy going guy. His facial expressions are priceless too esp when someone walks in late for a test. LOL! :)
cool guy and fun class. the man loves to hear himself talk! be prepared for lots of note taking but he lets you ask millions of questions and gives out a copy of the test a week in advance. he loves telling stories about himself so you can get him off topic to kill time. LOL!
I wish all teachers were like Weeks! Only thing that sucks is all the note taking. BUt he gives you a copy of the test a week in advance and gives test reviews and stuff. Cool dude.
Mr. Weeks is the man! He's hilarious to listen to and you actually learn ALOT! I never thought I'd say this but Western Civ is actually my favorite class because of Mr. Weeks. Plus he tells hilarious stories of his personal life. He should have been a character on Seinfeld!
Best class e-v-e-r. Weeks is really easy going and class is very relaxed. I nEvEr would have thought history is cool.
Mr. Weeks's class was the best because it was a fun and a relaxing atmosphere and I actually leanred a lot. I would have never imagined that Western Civ could be my favorite class, but I'm actually taking Mr. Weeks again for 102 even though it's not a requirement.
Nick Weeks has a great style of teaching and I learned alot in his class. He's very creative and I always look forward to his next "Weekism" or "Nick Weeks Original Lecture". The class on American Mythology is probably my greatest moment I've had in school. You're welcome :D
I was very anxious to take this class because History is just not my thing. Weeks is awesome. I am not the average age student and by far Weeks was one of the best teachers I ever had. He makes you understand things and can always keep your attention. You take a ton of notes. He is a Hottie:)
Fun class and great teacher. ONe of the few that actually cares about their students and takes time to get to know us. You will learn alot too!
Mr. Weeks's classes are so much fun! He makes everyone feel so comfortable and you'll end up laughing all class. Time flies by but you end up learning so much. He shares so much with us and he's so honest with all of us. His stupid comments are also hilarious. I can honestly say I have never had a teacher say he "keeps it real". You will neve
I was not interested in history at all until I took his class. He makes it very interesting and I actually learn the material and want to learn more. Only con is 8 am classtime :) He cares about his students and cares how you do and what you get out of the class. I learned so much from his class. DEF TAKE Him if you want to learn and have fun
He is AWESOME! gives you all answers to tests the week before at review. VERY funny
He is funny and very informed about the subject. Talks very fast. Your hand will hurt from all the notes, but you will learn aspects of history you would never find elsewhere and he relates it all to today's world. Loved the reviews before the tests.
It's by far the best class I've had in college! He really knows how to present material and makes history seem really interesting. Best part is that he treats me like an adult and doesn't ever talk down to me or classmates. Really great guy and class. Take him!!!!
Mr. Weeks is one of my all time favorite teachers and I really enjoyed his class. He makes history fun and I never thought I would actually look forward to a history class. Very entertaining!
Really enjoyable and entertaining class. Professor Weeks is very energetic and enthusiastic and makes it easy and fun to learn about otherwise boring topics. I never thought I would find ancient history interesting but Weeks always puts his own comical twist on topics and really keeps us awake. Sometimes he's overly sarcastic but it's great watc
Mr. Weeks is great and I'm never bored coming to class. He makes the material so interesting and I'm actually interested in history for the first time in my life. Who'd of thunk it?
The best teacher at GCC. Makes the class so interesting even though I could care less about history. Come to class early a week before the test and you get all the test questions in advance (and the answers) how sweet it that. Take weeks and you wont regret it.
i great professor! he makes the class fun and always has a corny joke to tell. and he's not that bad looking either, i recommanded taking him. even if you dont like histoy he will make you like it.
Excellent teacher! He's extremely fair and helpful, and listening to his lectures is like listening to a story unfolding. He talks FAST but gives out copies of the tests in advance and it makes studying a breeze. Great teacher.
Awesome teacher! He talkes fast and gets really excited about whats hes teaching but he's good at teaching history. He'll give you a study guide and its the same as the test. The class is only hard if you don't show up, just do the work and study and you'll be fine.
He is an amazing teacher! I love history, however there were people that hated it and loved this class. Truly one of the best professors I've had yet! He always keeps things interesting and makes it fun to learn. Who would have though that happens in college!
Prof. Weeks is a great teacher. He has very high expectations and gives homework every week but is very helpful and wants us to learn. I hate history and Prof. Weeks made me want to come to class every week. Great guy and class.
mr. weeks is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who wants students to do well. i wish he taught more classes. gcc needs more teachers like him.
Great teacher! Very passionent about US History and it rubs off on the class. He makes it very interesting and dumbs it down into everyday language. Gives 2-3 hours worth of homework every week but not ridiculous if you just sit down and make the time to do it. Gives one take home Exam and gives partial credit. Grades fairly and very comical.
Amazing professor! He genuinely cares about his students and it shows! His passion for History is evident and he even makes those (like myself!) interested in a subject that I previously found boring! Definitely take Prof. Weeks' class! You will not regret it! I only wish he taught ALL my college classes! All professors should be like Prof. Weeks!
Excited, funny, helpful, personable teacher with a super easy class. Take notes when he says "THIS IS A TEST QUESTION" and it's an easy A. He's friendly and knows all his students better than any teacher I've had before. Loved the class and learned so much!
He was very fast paced, but always repeated what was important. He was funny and energetic and made you feel like you weren't just another student. Very creative with his lessons.
He was totally awesome! He gave you the tests before hand and gave you the answers a little bit at a time in each class. Just attend and study = easy A!
Prof Weeks is demanding but very helpful and very funny. There is homework every week but that is balanced by him giving out test questions in advance. Just show up and do what he tells you to do. There is never any guessing, which is nice and let me enjoy the course a lot more. He answers emails quickly too.
Great class and great teacher. Very funny and very approachable guy and removed a lot of stress from the course. Is very clear on directions and instructions. Will take him again.
He's a fun and energetic instructor. It was a very easy class, he basically did the work for you except for the research paper (but he gave you the entire semester to do that). Very helpful, easy to contact if needed. I recommend him 100%.
Nick Weeks is the Shaquille O'Neal of teaching. Even if you hate history you will love his class. Great guy.
Professor Weeks is a great teacher. He made history an awesome class. Very entertaining. Just do the work and take notes. All of the test questions are given on the first day. He's a must take. I got an A for him.
His exams are open ended, but they are extremly easy. He gives you a study guide and during him teaching her will tell you the answer. One paper to do. Its very hard to fail this class. He is also funny!!
This was the best experience I've had at GCC. I always looked forward to this class and will really miss it. Highly recommended even for people who dislike history. Weeks will not disapoint.
Prof. Weeks's approach to facilitating is impressive. He managed learning team issues and personalities better than any instructor I've had in the past four years. He anwsers communications instantly and helped guide me through tricky personality issues. He's a true leader.
He has tremendous knowledge of the subject and it shows that he really loves what he teaches. He makes it fun with his jokes and stories. He was always very accessible when I had a question, or needed help picking my research topic. Thumbs down! (take the class to get the reference).
he's so great. he really takes the time out to help you do better.
Was a an easy an interesting class. Homework assignments were easy and there was always a review sheet for the exams. Professor Weeks was very nice and always willing to help. He got back to you right away if you e-mailed him. Attendance is a MUST! has a very strict attendance policy but is understanding if you get sick or have a family emergency.
Prof Weeks is the best teacher I've ever had! He's energetic and keeps class very entertaining by telling funny stories. He tells you exactly what you need to do to receive an A, and takes all of the stress and guessing out. I am a nursing student and plan on taking him again.
Instructor Weeks is a great teacher and makes learning historical facts interesting. The class is not too hard as long as one is willing to fulfill all the homework. He keeps class intriguing and teaches facts that no other teacher would.
He's really good at explaining everything and a good story teller. Keeps the classroom relaxed and laid back as we learn. Overall an excellent course. Professor Weeks made every lesson relatible and easy to learn
Overall great instructor. Always kept class fun. Encouraged class to ask questions. He was very motivated and clearly enjoys this subject. Tends to go off topic quite often but still one of the best instructors I've had.
Prof. Weeks goes out of his way to make sure you earn an A. He gives out copies of the test in advance and lets you turn in your research paper early so he can help you. He does have a tough attendance policy but he works with you if you have to miss class. Plus you won't want to miss class. I am taking him again in the spring.
This ended up being one of the few classes that I actually wanted to come to, which was mainly due to the professor. He always kept me interested, and was genuinely good at teaching.
Nick Weeks is a great teacher and the classes are fun and interesting. It's all lecture but he gives out the tests in advance and all ended up being take home tests. Nick is hilarious and the lectures are more like interesting stories. He is also easy to get off topic and he loves telling stories about his life. I will take him again!

Mr. Weeks is very fair as long as you do what is expected. He keeps you interested in the subject and he is there to help you when you need help. Great class and even greater teacher!
One of those professors you just wish all the rest were more like. He clearly loves history, teaches it passionately, and makes you want to do well. If you show up and do the work, it's an easy A--two thumbs down!
Prof. Weeks is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He likes to say controversial things to get people talking but is very respectful when people disagree with him. He has a VERY strong personality but is also easy going and doesn't want to make class harder on you. Just do what he says and it's "Miller Time". Will take him again!
He is funny and nice. Tests were take home. He gives you tests ahead of time and lectures consist of answering test questions. He cares about his students and is always willing to help you out. You learn a lot and he assigns two tests and one paper.
Awesome class! Weeks does a great job at keeping the class lively and is great at putting history in a modern content. Class is super easy and super fun. Loved the Monty Python!
Weeks is passionate about History and a very personable guy. Lectures are very interesting and he gives out copies of the test questions in advance. He cares about his students and actually tries to get to know us better. Highly recommended.
I took WEeks's class because of ratemyprofesor and he did not disappoint! The family interview paper was great and the lectures are interesting. Real easy class to get an A.
I loved the passion that Mr. Weeks had for this course. Mr. Weeks is a really down to earth guy and a great teacher. I've learned so much and truly enjoyed coming to class!
Awesome class! Weeks is very smart and very funny, and he has his own teaching style. He really interacts with his students, and makes the class interesting and informative.
Take Weeks - you won't regret it!
Nick's classes are very fun!! I've taken him twice and look forward to taking him again. He is an engaging lecturer and incorporates humor into his lectures. He doesn't take himself too seriously and he wants to know what is going on in our lives. He doesn't waste our time and we usually were out of class early. Best RCGC has to offer!
My favorite teacher. There are no surprises and he tells you what's expected and gives you all of the info you need to know to pass the course. This is my second semester having him and I still remember everything he taught me from the first semester. The things he taught me will stay with me forever! I now have a new and better understanding .
Great Professor
Nick is a great Professor, I look forward to his classes more than any of my others and you wont regret taking him.
Amazing teacher, homework every week only answer 3-4 questions. Makes learning fun and understanding. Does not give a lot of quizzes. One exam, the questions are handed out in beginning of semester and if you follow the lecture he gives you the answers. Highly recommended!!!
Weeks is one of my favorite professors I've ever taken so much so that I took all of his classes. He's really funny and doesn't ask much of his students, just show up and take notes. It's usually a once a week class so attendance is very important and don't show up late. The homework are easy questions that you don't need the book for.
Great Professor very caring, understanding and funny. there are weekly papers and do not miss class
only 2 tests, gives out the review which has every test question and he goes over the answers for them each class.. tests were online, able to use review. only 1 major paper, either a research paper or genealogy report.
Professor Weeks is by far the best professor at RCGC. His class is very straight forward. You have homework but its simple. Don't buy the book bc you won't need it. There are 2 exams and he gives you the answers in class! You just type it out and email it to him on the due date. Attendance if required, but worth it. Best professor, take him!
Mr. Weeks is the best when it comes to history. He's absolutely hilarious and makes the lectures so much fun. His tests are pretty easy, notes are great, and he's a very fair grader. All in all, one of, if not the, best history teacher you could pick. I have him for a lecture course, and the time absolutely flies with him.
Greatest and easiest professor you could ever get, only will need the book for homework which does count towards your grade. Gives you the answers for tests in class, easy A.
Very fun and easy going teacher. Almost always let us out early on Fridays. Am taking him again in the fall.
This teacher is absolutely amazing. I was in his class this fall and he genuinely cares about his students and his lectures. He is hilarious and I cant twll you how much he made our entire class laugh all class long. He finds an interesting approach at teaching that really helps things stick and he doesnt load up on homework and helps with tests.
My favorite professor BY FAR. I took Weeks my freshman year of college. I am now a junior at Rowan U and he is still the first professor that comes to mind when asked about a positive college experience. Weeks is hilarious and energetic during his classes. He gives out hw often, but the assignments are short and he comments on everything
Weeks is Awesome, hands down one of the easiest professors I've ever had (and I've had a lot). He gives his answers to the midterm and final in his lectures! He gives easy homework assignments due each week and one paper is due during the semester. Can't get more chill than this guy! P.S. No cell phones during his lectures :)
Prof. Weeks is an awesome guy. He makes his lectures fun and hilarious. I would 100% take his class again! This class was easy and informative, and he made learning about history exciting. The book was not required. There was weekly hw, 2 exams (which he gave the answers to in class), and one paper.
The textbook isn't required, we talk about what's going on in the world in the beginning of class but in a joking manner. He is very knowledgeable and gives you everything you need to pass. Only two tests, weekly homework, and just overall a quality teacher. Keeps your mind in the lecture for sure.
Take his class!!! As long as you pay attention to his lectures and do the homework, you will definetly pass. Very interesting and great lectures. Also you won't need the book. Also was very understanding with COVID and didn't overload the work. Seriously a really cool professor.
Learning in his class was enjoyable and I always looked forward to his class with the way he teaches. He brightens the class and has great energy. Wonderful teacher all around.
Fantastic storyteller! The most enjoyable moments of class were the ones where he just spoke freely about random topics and about different ways to view routine tasks in life.
I took Nick Weeks in an online class at another University and he is the best! His ratings on here do him justice! Great instructor and person!
Prof Weeks has a warm and friendly communication style. I can definitely say I've never had a teacher like him before and I now want to take his next class!
