It honestly doesn't get any better than Professor Edwards. She is very smart and knows her stuff (not to mention she's crazy attractive....) Anyone who complains about this course is disgruntled because they didn't prepare for the exams. How can you not love her classes.

Nichole was great!! If you think her testing is unfair its honestly just because you didn't pay attention. Everything you need to know is in her slides that she posts online... I didn't even need to really take notes. Super interesting class!

Professor Edwards was my favorite professor this year. She is extremely smart and knows her stuff and prepares everyone to do well. I wish she taught more classes are UWO. Ignore some of the other comments. Her tests are VERY fair. Stick to the slides. It was an honour to take one of her classes. Thank you Prof. Edwards!

Nichole Edwards is seriously awesome! Ive never actually looked forward to do readings before until I took this class. Shes very good at teaching and her slides are very clear. I wish there were more prof's like her at western. You wont need any coffee going to her class!

She's a great prof- super understanding, very easy to connect with and speaks very well. Her classes are intriguing, and I found the reading reviews (almost weekly) to be very easy yet helpful to learning the class material efficiently. I wish all my prof's did that because I would actually do the readings.

Absolutely my favourite prof ever. Extremely approachable, relatable, and one of the best lecturers i've seen. Loved everything about her.

Love her teaching style. she may test super detail stuff in first section. Essay questions are very fair, as long as you go to class, you will be fine!

Nichole was a great prof. Not necessary to attend lectures but I always looked forward to her class. She usually shows a movie/video for 30min-1 hour then lectures for another hour. Really interesting course and she made it really enjoyable to attend.

GREAT prof, LOVE her teaching style !!! She is very young and understanding. You can tell that she is willing to accept all new ideas.

Being a business student & never having taken a course like WS I was very nervous about taking this course. But my experience could not have been better. Edwards is a great prof & the material was very interesting & applicable to what we see in our everyday lives. Would highly recommend taking a course with Edwards if possible.

Prof Edwards is seriously amazing. As a non-womens studies major, her classes were super inspirational! She's super young and relatable, and her lectures were always very clear and interesting. Definitely take her classes if you get a chance to!!! 12/10!!

Really nice professor and easy marker. This was my first ever WS course and I found it quite interesting. She's good at making the course content interesting and doesn't drag on the lectures. The only downside is this course was very liberal. If you have different views, prepare to write otherwise on exams/ assignments or else you'll be faulted.

Such an amazing prof!! Really interesting lectures and makes the class super fun. Definitely recommend taking but ensure you have good critical thinking skills!

literally the coolest person ever. her lectures are amazing and she cuts them at 2 hours vs 3 a week. so funny and down to earth. learnt so much and did bare minimum effort. the perspectives she offers are phenomenal going to class is important. great bird course and elective. i got a 77 when i usually get 80s+ though, but thats my TA not Edwards.

Prof Hinson did by far the best job at transitioning to online learning out of all my profs. Her lectures are so well formatted, she makes the content interesting, and she is very quick to help if needed. This course has never made me feel stressed, which says a lot given how weird this year has been

Dr. Edwards is by and large one of the best professors I have ever had. She is organized, witty and more important than all, is compassionate and a human being. She treats her students as people, not numbers & is understanding. There was weekly tasks such as a quiz or forum post and the final was 40% but I achieved high 80s, low 90s without issue.

I cannot say enough good things about Professor Edwards. She truly cares about all of her students and makes them feel like more than just another number. The material in her courses are very interesting and I actually looked forward to attending her classes each week. She gives grades back within the three week period and is seriously amazing!

I have taken two of Dr. Edwards' classes, both of which I have absolutely loved! Study for the exams, and you'll be totally fine. Exams are not very hard, and are straight forward. She is so knowledgeable, and the most passionate prof I have ever taken a course with. She cares so deeply about everything that she teaches, making the lectures amazing

Dr. Edwards cares about her students and knows how to keep class interesting. She also did hands down the best job at converting to an online format. Her material was fun, easy and interesting. My only issue was that the exams were a bit trickier than I expected from the easy material, but study the readings etc. a lot and you'll be great. Love her

Professor Edwards has a passion for what she does and the way she delivers her courses are like no others. For myself personally I am not strong with papers and the ability to connect ideas from the course to other situations so that is where I fell behind.

Dr. Edwards is one of the best profs at Western! She is super funny and makes every student feel valued. Her class is honestly the highlight of my week and she builds genuine relationships with her students! Super fair marker and always unbelievably sweet when chatting about marks and course content. Take any of her classes and thank me later!

Nichole is a great teacher and I would recommend her. I took her Brescia special topics class and it was so interesting. She is a bias teacher and grader but is very reasonable. She marks you in a variety of ways and gives great feedback on writings. She is great at responding to emails and is ready to help and guide her students for success.

Dr Edwards is one of my favourite profs! She is very engaging with the material and you can tell she really loves teaching this class. For the most part she is clear with her expectations, as long as you can think critically and articulate well, you will do well. Only criticism is lack of feedback on midterm exam, and expect regular forum posts.

Her lectures are INCREDIBLY engaging. She communicates theories VERY clearly. However, she is not accessible outside of class (she never responded to 3 emails I sent during a stressful personal period she is very busy). She also has favourites (but she is a VERY fair grader) which made me feel out of place. But somehow still a caring prof.

The lectures were really interesting and I like that she provided articles to read rather than making students purchase a textbook. The weekly quizzes were a bit crammed for time and tended to be detail oriented but overall I liked the course.

Nichole helped me a lot in GSWS 2163. I made a terrible mistake in the final exam. She didn't give any harsh punishment to me. Also, she answered questions very quickly during the working days. The contents aren't that hard but must spend a lot of time on it.

I'm taking her course right now and had to pause a lecture video to come on here, but this has to be the best Prof I've had so far. She's funny, makes the videos engaging, cares about her students, brings in relevant things into the class to make it enjoyable and keep the class engaged.

Professor Edwards was great. She is a super engaging lecturer and builds a back story on what she teaches to make her points clear. This course was a welcoming place for diverse ideas and opinions and I definitely learned a lot. Would love to take another one of her courses.

Prof. Edwards is AMAZING! I can't recommend taking a class with her enough - she is so caring about students and her lecture content is always very engaging. I loved this course because it talks about soooo many cool things - princesses, teen movies, dads, the list goes on. Marking is sometimes based on your TA, but I loved the course.

SO engaging!!! The one class where I enjoy listening to the lecture since she is expressive and passionate about what she teaches. A bit of a hard marker when it comes to the midterm written questions.

I really enjoyed her lectures. She is very easy to listen to and is extremely passionate about what she is teaching. I learned a lot! The downsides are that she refuses to give a marking rubric, gives you very limited time on exams, and expects a very critical analysis of topics just briefly explored in class content.

Super cool course! Professor Edwards was super organized and structured with course content. Exams were online and non-proctored, so they were relatively easy if you read the assigned readings and took notes during lecture videos. She runs a small business, so not the fastest to respond to emails but always super polite when she gets back to you.

The class was very interesting! The professor was interested in what we had to say and very knowledgeable on important topics in our society. However, marking was distributed amongst the professor and TAs and I found that they all marked differently and even though some of us had very similar answers, our marks were vastly different.

Awesome Course Awesome Prof. Ive never taken gender studies but this course became my favourite. Nichole is an awesome lecturer and always keeps it lighthearted in her videos. You can really tell how nice she is with her funny comments like "current mood" or just ones reminding you to treat yourself. Grades Fairly. Awesome Prof!!!!

Prof. Edwards is truly one of my favourite lecturers for online courses. Her lecture videos are styled in a way where it feels like a casual conversation, making it easier to absorb. She also provides more than enough examples and application opportunities for you to fully grasp the content. Love her class, definitely reccommend! She's funny too!

Dr. Edwards is truly the best Prof I've had in my time at UWO. She is hilarious and her lectures have taught me so much about society around me as well as myself and my relationship with my family and friends. I would highly recommend this course!

Midterm and final exam were graded fairly nicely and Dr. Edwards always included engaging content in her lectures that her students can understand and relate to. The reflection was a bit more sternly graded, but over all course was not that difficult.

Interesting to read and listen, quizzes aren't hard and the engagement essays are easy to write if you like the topics and the prompts (you can pick 3 out of the 12 to do)

was interesting since it was my vibe. prof was energetic and had passion for the topics. TA marked me super high for the midterm then started marking me pretty low for the assignment and final with super minimal reasoning. just depends on ur luck with ur TA. aloooot of lectures and films to watch. def took alot of time for an elective.

One of my favourite profs at UWO - definitely the best experience ive had in any asych course. Lectures are engaging tests and exams are fair, and she gives feedback for correct and incorrect answers. Would definitely recommend 2163.
