Yo, Scherger rocks!

I really liked her as a teacher, one of the best math teachers I've had. Goes through things quickly, and you must keep up. She prepares you well with a study guide and answers for tests. Is fair when grading, and has a great personality. I recommend her!

Her class is very easy. She is easy to understand and follow.

Good teacher. I am not good at math at all, but she helped me. She really prepares you for your test. You must do homework to understand but it pays off at the end. I recommend her.

Really nice person, always helps, takes time to make sure you get stuff. Very knowledgeble, a little bit unorganized, hot :D Her homework quiezzes are questions from the homework. Lets you take test later if you cant do it on time. I would recommend her to everybody.

Very good teacher. She is very helpful and takes the time to make sure you understand the problems. Attendence policy isnt that great but she is an awosme teacher, and an attractive one :). Definitly recommend her.

The best math teacher I've ever had. She made an awful subject like trig easy to learn and even kept the class time amusing. It's a shame she's only doing calc II and not calc I or I'd definitely take her class.

Miss Scherger is by far the most talented teacher I have ever had. Unlike many teachers out there she can understand and answer questions that students have in a meaningful manner. She is somewhat hard on you if you don't come to class, but that is because she cares whether or not you understand the material. Very cute too.

I hate math but Scherger is a good teacher. She speaks a little fast at times and is quick on topics but if you ask questions she is very helpful.

Apart from being THE most adorable calculus teacher in existence, Ms. Scherger is also incredibly smart, good-humored, and enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

Math 101 was a very interesting and challenging course. This course teaches you concepts that would be very beneficial in life, surprising for a math class. Professor Scherger is very helpful and highly recommended. Math is a tough subject for me, but professor Scherger was always there to help when I didn't understand some of the concepts

I loved Nicole! If you don't usually understand math, take her! I have never fully understood everything in a math course until now; plus, I've taken the course before and done poorly. I got a D with another teacher, and an A with her. Do the math (haha).

Best math teacher at ECC, one of the best teachers there, period. I've always gotten straight Ds in math, but I got an A because she is a great teacher! The stuff she teaches is really useful and practical for the future. Expect to work hard, but you will make better decisions because of the financial stuff she teaches. Take her!!

I am actually pretty good at math but in high school my teachers weren't very well at teaching it so I didn't do well.. this teacher makes everything easy to understand and is more then willing to help you when you need it. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Extremely helpful teacher. If you ask for help she will take the time to make sure you understand. She also makes judgement calls at the end of the semester and raises grades of the class based on how hard she saw you working. Like everyone else said she is cute which made a difficult class more enjoyable

Book was helpful but can be downloaded mostly. Not totally necessary. Tests were of average difficulty and the final was non-cumulative. In class demonstrations made perfect sense and made what could have been a difficult class much easier. Will answer emails quickly. Tests reflect questions almost directly from the homework. Would reccomend.

By far the BEST math teacher I have ever had in life! She is very clear about her expectations and very helpful. She explains math in a way that is easy to understand, and gives example that apply to real life.

She was one of the best teachers I had this semester. i always looked forward to attending her class. Attending her class I knew I would learn and if I didn't understand something she would do her best to help. Also, her office hour were very convenient. Highly recommend to take her!

BEST TEACHER EVER!! Beyond helpful!! Takes time to help you understand, extra credit was done in class together so easy points, tests easy, VERY laid back and understanding of situations that come up. Book's only $25 but not needed its all on her website. Only 10 indiv. assignments, rest group assignments I wish she taught more classes I needed.

Dr. Scherger made this algebra class work for me. She has a particular ability in taking confusing information and distilling it down to easy to understand, useful steps. She made me feel smart!

Dr. Scherger is a full speed ahead teacher. She covers a lot of ground but makes sure you understand the material prior to moving on. She always asks if anyone has questions on what she just covered. Very understanding if you miss a class but you must contact her if it's a quiz/test day so that you can make it up otherwise you are out of luck.

High quality teaching! She has had the best approach to learning the theory I've seen! The homework isn't graded, but do it so you can do well on the homework quizzes. Calc III was pretty fast paced, but it was reasonable. If you're willing to do the homework and learn the material- you'll love her class!

Prior to taking Scherger's class, i always struggled with anything math related. She did the impossible; She made it almost seem easy, thanks to her amazing communication skills.

Amazing teacher! Calculus is not an easy subject but she explains it so well! She gives you a solutions sheet with every quiz and test so you know how to get the right answers unlike other teachers who leave you wondering. She is extremely understanding and she will NEVER quiz you or test you on material she taught the day before.

She explained things really well and had flexible office hours. Doing homework in the class is really important. Sometimes the tests are long and she may pick the harder problems.

Seriously, the BEST teacher at ecc. She is super nice and funny. She will go over any homework questions that you have even if it takes up the first 30 min of class. Shell give you extensions if you need them. Take her!!

She has a very clear way of teaching and especially for it being Calculus. All you have to do is pay attention and the rest she does for you. She makes sure that you are aware of her availability and is willing to help. She always starts off the class by asking if there were any questions on the homework. Shes great!

Dr. S will challenge you. However, she will never hang you out to dry. She is ALWAYS willing to help. She responds to emails quickly and has a long range of office hours and she will always, always help no matter how trivial the question. On top of all that, she has a sense of humor. Tests are tough, but she drops hints in class. LISTEN.

Always available when needed whether it's through email or in person. Recommended doing homework one to two days early because more often than not you will have questions to ask in class. Also, don't blow labs... they help boost grades.

She's a great teacher, but only if you're good at math. She really nice and doesn't pick favorites or say who's most and least likely to succeed, but she has a strict no calculator policy. So if your are really good at doing math without a calculator, then you should be okay. If you're not good at math, then don't take this teacher.

Dr. Scherger is the best! I'm taking her for the 2nd time now, and wish she was teaching the next class I need. She hands out note packets that you fill out and work out in class. Homework is done online on MyMathLab, but don't buy the book. Labs were easy. Quizzes and Tests are over exactly what you learned in the notes! She's the best!

Straight to the point and specific, she is truly the ultimate math teacher. There has not been a concept that I have become confused by due to unclear notes or explanations. Easily able to adjust to different learning styles. Willing to answer questions. Tests are not incredibly difficult. Homework is interesting and short. Study and you will pass.

One of the best math teachers ive had at ECC by far. So smart has a doctorate in math so she knows exactly what shes doing. Very clear in what homework she wants done and what will be on the tests/ quizzes. Very understanding and i would most definetly take her again.

She's really helpful, she's also easy to approach for help. I am going to have her again for Business Calc. I am excited.

I took her business calc 1 class last year & I'm now in business calc 2 a year later & I still remember it! She's that good! She assigns a lot, but trust me it's worth it! Calculus isn't fun, but Nicole makes the best of it and is very helpful & understanding when you don't get something! Take her class & do the work & you'll be just fine!

Math 104 was such an easy class, we had group assignments every class day and did not use the book. Scherger explained everything well and helped with questions.

Well organized, well spoken/dressed, and very helpful. Provides feedback on quizzes and tests with solutions to learn from. Online homework optional, but highly recommended. Math labs can be done using ECC library computers, if you want to save money. Try not to take too many classes along with this Calculus class if you want to keep your sanity...

Scherger was AMAZING! I took AP Calculus in high school and got a D but then I took it at ECC and she made it very understandable. Provides answer key to everything and shows example for every type of problem that could possibly come up on a test or quiz. VERY specific on what is going to be on quizzes and tests. Makes sure you are prepared.

I was pretty surprised by her in the middle of the semester. I had gotten pretty sick and she allowed me to turn in my homework late. She will answer any questions that you have and will take it slow if needed. She's always willing to meet outside of class with you. I really enjoyed her as a teacher.

I found it extremely helpful that she color-coded on the SmartBoard so I could distinguish her steps easily. Her answer keys, videos, and study guides made the tests doable. Homework was optional but it really helped me. Her guided notes made it easy to complete the homework and study for an quizzes or tests. She is extremely approachable.

Great math professor that is caring about your work and explains anything you don't get in easy ways to understand it. Make sure you do the review tests and homework as they will come in handy. Very helpful in saving you money for supplies needed.

Scherger is a wonderful math teacher. She is very helpful and super sweet. The tests are a little hard and you have weekly homework quizzes. You do a few labs which I thought were fun. HW is not collected but it is recommended to do the HW. She tells you specifically what to expect on tests.

She is a good teacher is very understandable and will explain when needed. She has random mood swings for no apparent reason. Homework is online and not too much. Gives extra credit and drops lowest grade on quizzes or tests. Even though she can have an attitude she is a decent teacher and I learned a lot.

She made what could be a very boring class into something interesting and engaging. She explains everything so clearly, but will take time to help you personally if you still don't understand something. She takes half-points away for minor errors (ie not labeling an answer), but gives credit sometimes for wrong answers that you explained correctly.

I hadnt taken a math class in a long time, but I had been pretty good back in highschool. Professor Scherger is awesome! She really takes the time to explain all the concepts and makes sure every student understands the material. This is the Professor you want if your fearful of math, or, if your amazing. She rocks!

Nicole is the best. I have never cared about, or been good at, math in my life. She doesnt just explain the basics, she explains what they mean. She doesnt give a lot of homework. Her main priority is making sure we understand. If youre not a math person you should take her class.

Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures are great, the tests/quizzes are doable, and there are never any surprises. She is always available for help if you need it and she genuinely tries to make sure you understand the material. A lot of people drop/fail this class, but if you put in the work then you will succeed.

Professor Scherger is th best Math teacher I have come across at ECC. I thought I would fail business calc but I held a steady A all semester just by doing the homework (which is not a requirement but helps a lot) and attending class. She is very sweet and knowledgable and tries her best to accomadate time for homework questions in class. 10/10!!!

Honestly the easiest masth class I've ever taken because she is super patient, very understanding and considerate when explaining the lessons. We have lots of time in class to go over things which makes the tests easy. Not too much hw either.

I had Dr. Scherger for both Calculus I and Calculus II at ECC. I really enjoyed the way she lectured and the quizzes/tests were not tricky. If you do the homework and the usual reading outside of lecture, you should be okay!

Professor Scherger was an amazing professor! She gives quizzes each week. But, as long as you do the online homework the quizzes are very easy. I went to her office hours all the time and she made Calculus very easy to understand. Her exams were easy as long as you understand the homework and quizzes. She's the best professor!

Only prof that actually is enthusiastic and helpful in teacher hours. if I was the boss, I'd double her salary. Test every 2nd or 3rd Thursday. If there is no test on a Thursday then there will be a quiz which is easy if you do hw. Its calc 1 so study and work outside of class. course is hard not the prof :) I was close to an A but sold the bag :(

This woman can truly teach math. Even though I took her in a lower level class, I could tell just through her lectures alone that she would be great at any level. The software for homework admittedly was a little tedious at times, however I do think it forced me to understand the content better. You should be able to get an A if you put in the work

Awesome teacher! I wish she taught Calc 3. Attendance isn't technically mandatory, but sometimes she puts classwork in as a grade. She gets to know her students well, especially if you go to office hours (I suggest you do). As for teaching, it goes pretty fast, but she has videos on her website and she'll help you if you don't get it.

I was in one of her hybrid classes and only saw her once a week but with that being said she was really nice. I liked the way that her class was set up. To teach the content she made videos and share a playlist on youtube. I like this because I'm more of a visual learner so it is easier for me to follow than reading from a textbook.

Dr. Scherger is a brilliant educator. She is always willing to answer questions in class and, overall, is a ray of sunshine. She makes math fun to learn. If you miss a lecture-- do not worry! She has all of the videos for every topic online! She is a very fair grader and will always be willing to work with students on their own needs.

Incredible teacher! All the notes, practice work, and past exams and quizzes were available online. Very passionate about math and teaching, and I genuinely think she wanted everyone in the class to succeed inside and outside of the classroom. She even gave out notes packets, group work, and formula sheets when necessary. Wish she taught to Diff EQ

This class is very test and quiz heavy. There is a quiz every week and 4 tests throughout the semester which replace that week's quiz. Even though the weekly quiz sounds bad it is actually quite good, It keeps you ready and forces learning. She also is not a very hard grader. Little mistakes will be forgiven. Overall she is good teacher.

The class was super easy, you turn in the homework and come to class, and you can easily receive an A and it was my fault for turning in things late. She cared so much about the students. She is super kind and not judgmental at all. Please take her if you can.

Fantastic professor! The class moves at a quick pace but she explains topics well. Door always open during office hours, easy to reach and fast responses. Attendance not mandatory per se, but highly recommended. Don't miss more than a day here or there. Overall, would 100% take again. I was worried about the difficulty but she made the class easy.

I don't remember if I rated her before but I'll do it again; she gives amazing guided notes and lectures. The homework load felt standard for any math class, but she made calc 2 by far one of my easiest classes throughout college. Exam/quiz questions are either from the homework or extremely close to what has been covered. Would take again.
