Great guy what else can I say. I would definitely recommend him. My only word of advice if you have to take Soc 334, take it with another professor. The only reason is b/c you really have to get something out of 334. For Soc 212 he's great.

Easygoing but tends to let class discussion go way off topic. I go to class to learn. Giggly immature Greek female students from Astoria adore him. Unfortunately, some don't attend class to gain knowledge. This makes his class rather annoying and a wasted opportunity for actual learning to occur.

This professor is excellent!! He gives you a review before each test. He sits down with you to go over your grades at the end of the semester. He has read so many books, so you can't bull...t, he will tell you to lie and there is a difference. He is very funny.

One of the best teachers at queens, he makes you laugh + smile. I thought his test were pretty easy and at times a little difficult. But he practically gives you the answers thru out the test. If u study, it just pops out to you. I made sure I took a class with him before i graduated, and i don't regret it.

Professor Alexiou is amazing. He takes a subject that virtually interests no one and makes the class so much fun. It's not necessarily easy, but he helps so much he practically gives you the answers. You must take him - he has the best personality of any prof. at QC

he was an awesome prof. i am horrible at math and still passed not with a high mark but i did at least i dont have to take it over... social stats is hard and im happy that i passed and the course load isnt much just take good notes and study from them, show up and do ur work try hard thats what he cares about!

i absolutely loved this class. alexiou was just great. he was extremely friendly and funny. he jokes around a lot but still gets to the point of what hes teaching. if you dont understand something you can either ask him in class or get one-on-one with him so that you can understand the material better. he was just awesome. i highly recommend him.

Professor Alexiou is one of the greatest professors I have had in my academic career thus far. He is a very impressive man, with very interesting things to say. He is too cute. Wants his students to do well..and helps them if you show youre determined. He likes to joke around. The class isnt easy tho... if you dont work hard you wont do well. However, he makes a hard subject not so difficult.

Definitely cute. The class isn't easy but he is helpful, has mercy on your grade, and makes a boring topic doable. He has a Greek accent that is a little hard to understand but he cracks jokes all the time and makes the class laugh.

Wonderful Professor! You must take him! No textbook. All material on Blackboard. Helps students to understand the material. Exams are blue book responses on how much you learned about the topic. He is willing to help you to get a good grade. Has an amazing persona and I wish i could take him for all of my classes t QC!

This guy is amazing, you have to study and memorize vocab, but the math is easy. As long as you show up, do your HW, and make it seem as you are working hard you will get a very good grade.

He's a great professor but moves through the lectures way too quickly and doesn't stop to explain unless someone asks. He is extremely nice and people take advantage of him which isn't quite right. He is also very helpful and will do anything to help you pass this course. The material is very difficult.

Political Sociology was a very laid back class. We had a written midterm (blue book) and a paper for the final with a few writing assignments in between. If you study, the midterm is easy and the final paper was also easy to write. Good class for those who are graduating and also very insightful subject area.

Professor Alexiou was great once you get past his accent. He has a great sense of humor and his explanations are good. His textbook was very good and he really cares about the students. A very tough grader but he is generous in the end.

I loveeeed this class so much. The exams were so easy (just make sure to do the readings in the textbook, all the answers are there) He rarely gives homework and when he does, you have about a week to do it. One thing is that he does take a couple of days to respond to emails but other than that, he was an amazing prof. He also gives extra credit!!

Best professor for this class. Took his class asynchronous and it was an easy A. 4 homeworks and 2 exams. Homework answers were all in textbook. He provides free e-book. Also offered 2 extra credit

This professor was very easy. One assignment (3 prompts), one midterm with 3 prompts and one final paper of your choice. He likes in depth writing. If you're a good writer you'll pass this class with ease. He's also very nice and democratic. Participation and Attendance are not majorly important if you have a group chat. Nice guy.

Take the class with him. I really slacked off due to unforseen events in my life and i got an A.... only did 2 tests. NOTHING else, didnt even do the homework. professor is also very respectful and helpful, very nice man to have a 3 hour class with. I wish he taught everything...

Kinda sucks that we have to pay $80 for sage for the textbook and chapter quizzes. 2 multiple choice exam that's it. Easy class

Prof. Alexiou is very passionate about Sociology.He truly cares about his students & although his lectures are a bit hard to follow through he was the reason y I decided to become a double major (started with Psychology Major,Sociology Minor).Go 2 class,participate, do assignments & u will do fine.Not the easiest A but obviously possible w/ effort.

The tests and assignments for this class are very easy, and he is a very nice person who genuinely cares about his students. However, he does have a very strong accent. If you actually want to learn, it might be a bit difficult. He doesn't really have slides up, and most of the time he just talks.

Professor Alexiou is caring and funny. His lectures are simple and straightforward. Sometimes its difficult to understand what he is trying to convey. Although the class was easy and we had 4 homeworks, 2 online exams. Easy Credit class.

As kind and caring as a professor can get. He truly cares about his students and creates the most welcoming classroom. However, lectures were disorganized and hard to follow. Half the time we looked at the posted slides, the other half we would just listen to him talk. If you want an easy A and are willing to sit through boring lectures, take him.

Professor Alexiou is super funny and caring. There are only 2 online tests and a few writing assignments regarding readings, but they are super easy to comprehend. If you plan to not go to class, make sure to check Brightspace because they will announce exams, etc. I would definitely take this class again.
