Not very good. Boring, monotoned. Difficult.
A good professor and made class interesting. Very fair. Gives you time to do homework assignments and is willing to help you out when you need. Tests are pretty straight forward and will review with you anyways. All around good guy and teacher.

well, he is good. Very funny, i never feel like missing his class. his exams are okey, not that hard but not that easy either. u really have to read his notes. overall, a good prof.
if you want a fair professor dont take him, this guy is very corny and not funny at all you learn nothing. not willing to help you if you are struggling.BE WARE OF HIS CLASS.
THIS COURSE IS HAREDER THAN ACT 322 AND THIS PROFESSOR IS VERY HARD WHEN ALL HE DOES IS TALK ABOUT WALT DISNEY AND HIS BOSSES WHEN HE WAS YOUNG,I STILL HAVEN'T LEARNED ANYTHING ABOUT AUDITING. YES HIS TESTS ARE DIFFICULT BUT IF YOU STUDY YOU MIGHT MAKE IT
stop!! do not take this professor.heis waist of your time and money..you will learn nothing in this class. he very corney, and tells corney jokes. all he talks about is how his stories from his previous jobs..and all of them shows that he is the best, he
This professor waste a lot of time talking about his personal life. His tests are tricky. The course is based in notes that a student made for him (they are not clear). He gets a kick out of failing students that may need only 1 point to pass the course.
notes are clear and he explains all info, makes material interesting to keep u awake, gives good reviews, tests are exactly what is covered in lecture notes & class, if u are willing to work he gives you the grade u deserve
If you want an A or A- badly don't take him. Very tricky question. If you take him, study, study and study. Don't miss class to understand him note. He is master of himself when it come to auditing. His car plate# is AUDITING. He might be helpful with the CPA EXAM cos he teaches CPA review.
Be wise and avoid this Guy. He thinks he is the best and doesnt care about anybody else besides himself and his wife. Hey wasted six months of my precious senior year and he'll be sure to do the same for you. Makes questions tricky and gets a kick out of falling students. Has no heart.
This Guy is the classic example of the professor who likes to play students on his finger tips. You wont learn anything. TESTS ARE VERY TRICKY!
He doesn't allow any make-ups at all and provides no help. Still, He's not hard and he can atlest keep you awake. Just do all homeworks (like 6) and study and you'll do fine.
He explains the material, however he wants you to memorize more than an average person is able to do it. Good luck! It doesn't matter how hard you are going to study, you still get confused on the exam. He has no heart!
He is a good prof. but he doesn't give enough time to different topics. Most talk about his personal life which puts alot of work load on the students to keep up with the syllabus. If you are taking 101 then i shouldn't recommend him for you
he likes to bull**** a lot
Hard to believe; but made auditing very interesting.
he is terriable professor. he dosen't test students understanding about auditing, rater he test their english knowledge. It dosen't matter how hard you study still you won't get "A". don't take him. he is not a helpful person and all the time talks about himself and his family.
nice but strict about hw.
some times funny. doesnt give enough time on topics. hard...always talkin bout his life and how much he loves acct. he thinks tht he is a great prof. doesnt cover the material clearly. have to work ur ass-off to pass. he is also strict on HW.
the easiest class i have ever taken as an accounting major. he is hot.
lots reading, the exam is way too hard, the passing score is 69.5 for a C-, 69 will get a D. NO carve at all!! Don't take him!!
I'm not exaggerating when i say this but he's a tough prof. Talks about his life all the time, doesnt really teach the material and his tests are tricky. There's no room for reason when it comes to grades.
He is the most arrogant professor I ever had.Wastes a lot of time talking about his personal life but expect you to know the material as is if you were a CPA. You grade will depend only in 2 tests. If you fail one you are done.He won't give you credit for anything else.Even if you need a point to pass the course he won't give to you. He's a bad choi
He does not explain the material at all
He does talk too too much about his personal life.He wastes a lot of time talking about his life which has nothing to do with accounting.I wish he would just stick to the material. We're not going to fall asleep. The QC students of today are different from the ones of yesteryear. The internet has made us smarter.WE WANT TO BE CHALLENGED!!!
I wouldn't recommend this professor to anyone he doesn't cover the material properly instead he talks about his family and his personal issue.
is a stickler for exactness no curve on exams and very difficult grader thinks he is the greatest expert in the field
Nice guy..tough class in general..does talk about his personal life but that's the only way to break up 2 straight hours of basic acct info...funny stories...I'd reccomend...hw every chapter (About every 2 weeks) midterm and final (both toward the end of the semester)Overall good teacher..most of these other comments are a little rough haha.Good gu
He is a good teacher, but midterm comes too late in semester (past the P/NC and withdrawl deadlines). If you fail the midterm there's no way out!
i guess its ok to take him for a 101 class cuz he really doesn't take anything seriously and u r gonna have to do a lot of outside studying
Are we here to learn accounting or discuss his personal life?
Someone should complain about his lectures. What you can do speak to the chairperson. Or, speak to president of the student body. If that doesn't work schedule an appointment to meet the president of QC.His name is Muyskens if i'm not mistaken.
The work isnt that hard, you just have to take good notes, listen in class and do the homework. Interesting lectures and examples of how they pertain to real life, breaks up a lot of the time by talking about random things you wouldnt expect to hear in an accounting class. Its a shame he doesnt teach more accounting classes. Great class & professor
He may be tough but teaches you everything that you need to know for the CPA examine. if you are serious about becoming a CPA then he's a really good choice. If you are good at memorization, you will do great. I thought his personal stories were great to pass time in class. i don't think anybody wants to discuss auditing for about 2 hrs straight.
I agree. His personal stories are great to pass the time, but it's too much. Too too much. I would say a good 75% of the time is about his personal life. If I hear more stories about his wife, his trips to disney land, and his mickey mouse tie i'm going to scream. He's a good guy don't get me wrong, but I feel like i'm wasting my time in class.
eh... first time in his class... never heard of him.. and now these comments are scaring the crap out of me!
pretty good, talks a lot about his life and stories about himself, but thats what makes him interesting. gives a decent curve on his midterm and final
great professor
He is a tough professor, but if u go to the class and pay attention than u can get A in his class. He talks a lot about his life and disney. (-_-). He tries his best to help his students. His tests are very hard but it helps if u want to do CPA. If u want easy A than dont take him otherwise he is good.
great professor. i'd recommend him to everyone. he is a little tough but in the end u learn the material. he makes u kno ur stuff, and he made me like accounting.
great prof, but tough grader
This professor is funny and incoporates interesting stories with his lectures. The tests are NOT TRICKY...they require that you know the material. Just keep reading the material over and over, and it will stick...come test time, its all easy! Don't come to class late, do attend every class and listen and you'll do fine. No need to buy the textbook.
Not a bad teacher, talks about his personal life and fuses it with accounting. Gotta be on time in class and have your Hw or else he takes points off. Still he does make you laugh even at an early hour, and explains things thouroughly until u understand. If you like to slack off don't take him.
The professor never gave us review. No practice and little homework. Talk a lot of his family and wife at the beginning of the semester and teach a lot near the end of the semester. I spent a lot of time on this class but only got a C. No curve at all. Somebody told me only one student got A in his class.
Only take his class if you have interesting in his personal life, and wanna waste all of your tuition. He really is a cheapest person alive, and cheapest grader alive.
He claims his exams are NOT tricky? who is he kidding? I knew the material inside out, but still got a C in the class bc the final was extremely confusing. ppl, post if u got a B or above, I wanto to know if he gave out any grades other than Cs, bc every1 I spoke to got Cs.
He thinks himself is the best CPA in this world, so everything he mentioned in his course is important to students including his daughter's boyfriend. Waste a lof of time on his career stories. He covered more than 40 pages of his note package on the last two classes and use 3 mins to review all materials. BAD!!!
The one got C shouldn't compaine, I got C-. I spent a lot of time for this course, and only got C-. That's the lowest grade in my life.
To future people taking CPA exam: Stay away from this professor because the course wasn't being taught properly. Memorize everything without understand the deep meaning of each topic WILL NOT help you on the CPA. TOO MUCH PERSONAL LIFE STORY. Yes, he makes you laugh in the class, but actually you wasted your money, time and not learning anything!
I am so upset, i studied so hard for the final and i got a D, i guess i really bombed the final
guys whoever taking with him not get good grade and 95% of class are going to fail he always take about his family and him. good luck
The one shouldn't be teaching. Poorest grader ever.
Good Professor. You have to study to earn your grade. Besides studying, you have to understand it. You have to prepare to pass. Not an easy A, but you sure can earn an easy C or below C if you do not do your job. Pretend you are in the real world already. No one will give you anything for free. You have to earn it! This is college, not high shool!!
He should teach a lot more course material if he limits his personal life stories to no more than 15 minutes per lecture. It's true that students who truly does their part in the class will get better than a C. But it's also important for the professor to use the class time wisely so students will learn. And that is the area Mr. Dauber failed.
I enjoyed this class. overall its a fair class. your effort affects your grade. hardly read the text book and i really felt like i learned the material.
There is a reason that there are still 46 open seats in his class while the other audit classes are closed. worst professor ever. doesn't care about students at all, i would even go as far as to say that he is out to get them. exams are hard.low class average and impossible to get 95, curves 2-3 points, i was actually really excited to take auditin
just worst i hate him
He does talk a lot about things that have nothing to do with class but toher than that he is fairly helpful and fair. Homework load is a bit heavy but it helps you understand. He definetly hates if you are late to class, so if you take the 8:15 class you better be there at 8:15!! His test are ok but the final is hard! so study!
I was really scared about taking accounting 101. But Prof. Dauber made me feel comfortable. I worked hard and it paid off. He does go off topic but they're fun little stories. His homeworks are mandatory and don't be late to class, especially on test days. Work hard and you'd be rewarded.
i just took 101 with him. did all the hw on time and gotta come to class on time. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT until the FINALs came, i failed.. didnt give enough time. i wish he gave us 2 hours like other classes.. would have helped me get a BETTER grade. =(
He is a great professor. You must attend the class and study to get an A. Even though he may say some jokes and stories, he knows the material and you will learn a lot. I recommend taking his class
DO NOT BE LATE. He gives you a humorous staredown if you are. He bull$h!t$ about his clients and his family a lot but his personal stories are very entertaining. However, this class is not a walk in the park and if you think it is you must be on drugs. You MUST MEMORIZE the notes he has us download along with the CORRECT terminology or fail.
Easy class just memorize the notes that he puts on ereserve or just come 2 class and take notes (same material) changes r because of new pronouncements. Exams r fair. 50% midterm 50%final. multiple choice no essays.I liked the class, he knows a lot. Jokes and stories about his life 2. The curves depend on the class average, max 5 pts no big curves.
He's great. 3 Exams. Gives curve. Homework's required. Nice jokes and stories. However, NO LATES ALLOWED! =)
This professor is really funny..i recommend him for anyone who wants to enjoy accounting as the learn. Vary entertaining class...three exams..gives up to a five pt curve and he knows his accounting...
They said he is EVIL, but I think he's a great professor. He gives you practice exams so that you may be well prepared for the actual exams, which is very helpful.
He does go off topic a lot but at least his stories keep me awake. Auditing could be very boring without his hilarious anecdotes. Dauber is a good professor; this is a guy who teaches the material clearly and definitely knows what he's talking about. However, the tests could be challenging but this is college it's supposed to be challenging.
i enjoyed his class. but final was very confusing. has no heart and is very cruel when dealing with students regarding grading problems. if you want an A or A- do not take his class.
"survey said!?" "AAAAAAEE"=Wrong "Dindindin"-Means yes you to know his vocabulary!!!
He is the worst prof, he wastes every students' time. He did nothing in the class except disguising buffoon and talking about nonsense.
Its obvious that the person who gave bad comments, most likely got a bad grade. Seriously this class IS NOT easy. YOU have to STUDY. He makes accounting fun. He gives practice exams, which helps you allot. BTW DONT STUDY 1 DAY BEFORE THE EXAM. YOU WILL NOT DO GOOD. SERIOUSLY. give your self 1 week at least....
easy class, easy proffesor. attand class, do homework and you do fine
Taking this class was my worst mistake.
A highly recommended prof. he teaches well and makes the class entertaining. dont be mistaken that because he jokes he does not teach. he teaches and helps you remember all that you need to pass audit part of the cpa
Fabulous professor. Dont beleive what everyone writes. Prof. Dauber is a really great teacher- highly recommended!
ok, i only took him for 101, but i found him really easy, got an A+ in the class, studied the day before for all exams, which are identical to the practice exams he gives you, you can't go wrong! plus he's a laid back guy, prepare to hear about his love for accounting and annual trips to disneyland, ahah! overall cool guy, really easy, take him
I made a huge mistake tsking this professor,he does not prepare you well for his exams at all. He rambles on about his personal life and blames the students when they fail.
He is the best professor I've ever had.His class is not boring,NOT BORING AT ALL.He teaches very clear. After each class you would have a lot of staff regarding auditing in your head.I don't care about grade. If I'll get even C I will still take him for the audit2. Great Professor! I wish every professor would be like him.Enjoy the class!
Do yourself a favor and do NOT take this professor!! His teaching skills are tremendously subpar and his tests are difficult and unfair.
Worst choice for the auditing sections. Choose a better teacher.
Do not listen to anyone. He is a great professor.Just do not buy books, you don't need them. Everything for the exam is in the notes. You can download all the notes that you gonna use in the classrom from the e-reserve.Have a wonderful time with Prof.Dauber!
Someone says he talks a lot about his personal life.Listen, this class is not about heavy learning. Each of his stories is realated to the material, you just do not realize it. It is not advance accounting,or cost accounting where you do a lot of journal entries and do much math.Auditing is just about giving the "opinion".
Not a bad professor, just come to class and you'll do fine on the exams. Exams are very tricky though, you have to know your stuff cold. Overall i would take him for another class, and he makes the class very entertaining and fun to learn, and sometimes forget to teach but that shouldn't prevent from passing the class. good professor overall.
I just can't understand all those bad ratings. Professor Dauber is definitely one of the best professors in QC. He makes the class interesting and easier. He shares his auditing experience as well as life experiences, why you guys complained about these? you guys feel that 2 hours straight auditing lesson will be better?
Like some ppl said, he's absolutely a humorous prof. in QC. In some way, he's strict. He has his own principles. The class is interesting 'cause he shares his experiences all the time. Tests somehow are little tricky for few questions. However, practice exams help pretty much. Attend to the class, review after class then you can get an A. He curves
Best professor
I don't know why Dauber has such low overall rating. He's a great professor. Humorous as well. Do the work, study, and I'm sure you'll pass.
I took him for Acoounting 101 and 321. He is one of the best accounting professors. Make sure to attend the class and to do the homework and you will be fine.
This prof is so funny, he does talk a lot about his life, but that just makes the class more fun. He explains material very clearly. STUDY THE PRACTICE TESTS, READ THE BOOK BEFORE CLASS, ask any question he will answer it, AND DO NOT be late EVER. He knows what he is teaching, great professor, I almost change my major to ACCT bc of him.
I understand the class runs until xxx o clock, but do we really have to sit around for the last 30minutes of the class talking about Disney World? Dismiss us !A few (mandatory) homeworks, three tests that count for your whole grade. Overall, a very knowledgeable, hands-on professor who grips your attention with a realy inconsistent grading system.
He is a nice guy and i feel bad but his class is a must avoid for any good student. I went in with > 3.9 gpa+4.0 act-he gave me my first B.Im not the only one this has happened too! His tests are too detailed.the questions he asks require you to no the materiel perfectly. If you no it 90% you will get the entire Q wrong- and all MC no partial cred
I agree with the previous 2 posts. Tricky questions, and the notes on e-reserve aren't that helpful for the actual exam.
Definately a nice person however class isn't as nice. There is a lot of info that you MUST memorize. If you have trouble committing info to memory, do not take this class. 2 MC exams. If you mess up on the 1st exam, you pretty much messed up your grade in the class. No textbook, has notes on ereserve & you MUST know it as well as you know your name
He's a nice prof. Kind, funny and energetic all the time. Although sometimes he spends too much time on sharing his personal life exp., but most of time those stories combine w/ materials. It reinforces you to memorize the lecture in class. I recommend him if you feel bored in acct courses. But, it's not easy to get high scores in audit class.
Good class, you'll learn a lot. Clear and organized lectures. Highly recommended. Only one complaint: spends too much time reading rate my professors. This site is how students communicate their experience with a professor to other students. It's not meant for professors to complain about in class.
nice professor, he knows how to teach, explains meterails very clear. one bad thing: limited time for exam (midterm:50MC/TF,50 minutes. Final exam 75 MC/TF,75 minutes) It's hard to get a good grade for student whose English is not the first lanugage.
I think he is funny but acts mean sometimes about grades. Overall I think he makes auditing a lot easier than any other accounting course at QC.
Had him for 321 two years ago. I also just had him for the Becker course in Auditing. Still the same professor I had when I took 321 - funny, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Makes material easy to understand...like RAP and "US" GAAS. I will do well on the Auditing part of the CPA exam because of him and Becker. Thank you, Professor Dauber.
I liked Professor Dauber from day one. However I was afraid of his exams. He insisted that one must have done the reading and come to class routinely to get a good grade I did what he said and I got an A. I totally recommend him. He's funny. He's clear. He seriously knows AUDITING and made me love it too.
He is FUNNY. I just go to his class and listen to his jokes. The class is very enjoyable. He's very accurate when he speaks and he expects the same from you. No textbook, just notes. He talks about everything, and try very hard to relate them to auditing. Gives back graded midterms right after 5 minutes after the exam. Hard to predict your grade th
The most realistic, knowledgeable, funniest, and organized professor in the Universe. This class is worth every penny and every second of your time. Great experiance! HIGHLY RECOMENDED
absolutely great. I'm not a morning person but I was there every class at 815. He's funny and makes learning the information enjoyable. He likes to have fun and the class flies by every time. Just go to classes, do some of the homework, take his practice tests and you'll get an A. I'd take him again any time I could.
Prof. Dauber is not for everyone. You have to understand that there is one midterm and a final and that's it. You mess up on either one, the chances of you getting an A will be diminished. You must be good at memorization. I love his class because he keeps the class fresh with jokes. He really knows AUDITING. He is passionate too. I recommend him.
you must have very good memory and very good English understanding, other wise, you will fail this class. Attention, his class is not for everybody, unless you are very confident with your memory and English. Otherwise, I won't recommand him. Good luck!
EXTREMELY FUNNY...never in a bad mood. Gives review sheet before every exam (review and exam are almost identical). HW is easy jus a lil time consuming and u only need to hand in 4 of them. Curves his exams even when class avg is good.
Its one thing if you don't like him but if you have any business sense at all you will agree he is one of the best at QC. Awesome for 101 also. Don't take him if you just need credits or need to fill a requirement. Take him if your interested in obtaining a strong knowledge in accounting.
Really great professor. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. His tests are not hard at all as long as you pay attention to what he teaches. Many of the q's on the exams come straight off of his review sheets, plus he teaches very clearly and in easy to understand terms so there's no reason not to get an A+!
Dauber can teach you auditing, however, he is boring at times with his family stories but Auditing is a boring subject at times. The only thing I hate is he expects you to know everything on his exam, hes very picky. 2 exams cause alot of stress and if you DONT like to attend class everyday, dont take him. I wouldnt take him again for Auditing 2.
I had him for 3 different classes, Auditing I, Auditing II and Acct393W. He is on point, on task, punctual, straight-forward, clear and very well organized. He does NOT play favorites. He gives you what you earned, so don't look forward to sweet talk with him. He is the man. I love him. I have to say that he made me fall in love with Auditing!
He is a clear, precise professor. 2 exams, and you have to know all the notes. bores students with his life stories and expects them to pay attention. He is the type of professor who would check this website and try to remove any bad comments about himself. so you know hes paranoid. most likely he will get this comment removed.
i absolutely love prof.Dauber. He's extremely knowledgeable,he makes auditing easy to understand. his class is enjoyable because he is very entertaining. you will be able to remember the materials right in class so you dont have to spend too much time studying. i would take him again for auditing 2. I love you prof Dauber.
Just midterm and final both very tricky; he knows the subject well and teaches good but why he is giving such a hard exams? no need for textbook, the notes are online and you have to memorized them word by word...however he is cool and funny guy
Best accounting professor in QC.
Endless memorization. If you're good at that then it's an easy A. Otherwise, avoid this class. His questions are worded in a confusing manner. He likes to say it's 'picky', not tricky. Trust me, it's tricky.
If your interested in accounting, take this class! He is a great professor with a lot to teach. It's not an easy A so do the work, this is college. But do the hws, show up and ask questions, he's quick to help. Funny professor and made me love accounting. If you wanna major in finance or accounting then def take him as a professor! A++++++
Professor Dauber's class is enjoyable. He gives detailed lectures, and usually tells us his past history at QC and how he got to where he is now. Very interesting guy, however, DO NOT fall behind on the content. Make sure you study whatever you learned/took notes on that day, and study hard for his exams. He's a funny and helpful guy.
Dauber is the best! Took him for auditing 1 and loved his class. I'm taking Auditing 2 with another prof and I wish I had Dauber again. Easygoing, makes you laugh--enjoyable class. You rock Dauber!!! Take him...you'll learn AND have fun.
He is the best teacher I was not interested in Accounting at all when I first started my first exam i got a 74 and then on my final i received a 98!! I became so interested and he is also so helpful for the final he took two classes to go over the material clearly and he gives practice exams which are almost identical to the exam... Amazing teacher
Tough professor
He is really good. He does assign homework that he checks, but you do the homework it makes the test really easy. And before each test he gives a review sheet that is practically the same thing, just different questions. And he goes over the review sheer before the test also. He will also give you your grade the same day you take the test.
This is one of the most knowledgeable professor in queens college! He really cares about his students and wants them to do well in the course. His hws are a little long but if you do them, it increases your understanding about the subject better. He gives a practice exam which he goes over. His tests are easy you'll be done in no time. Easy class
An awesome professor, especially for an 8AM class. Makes the class very interestingfunny and makes the material easy to understand. May call you out to answer a question, but will walk you through it if you get it wrong. Overall a very nice guy.
Nick Dauber is an amazing professor. I was able to get an A from going to class, participating, and doing the homework. He gives practice exams right before that test and goes over it. He's a huge disney fan by the way. He's funny, has tons of experience in accounting. Really cool guy. Would def take for every course he teaches.
He was really funny and his lectures were great but if you really want to pass his class you have to study the textbook and your notes, not just the practice exams.
Very good professor at QC. Made the material simple and straightforward. I would recommend any undergrad considering an accounting major to take him.
Professor Dauber is funny and certainly keeps your attention in class. However, when it comes to his exams, its another story. Exams are 50 Multiple Choice that are HIGHLY SPECIFIC to the notes. Word play will used to TRICK students, don't let him tell you otherwise. If you are good with details and memorization, take him. Otherwise, don't.
Great professor! Just pay attention to the things he emphasizes in class and you'll do fine.
Textbook not needed. Notes prepared by Professor and downloaded online. Class itself is really laid back and his jokes will perk up your day. However, his exams are highly specific. He will change 1-2 words that sound similar to his notes but will be throw you off. He tells his students his exams are not tricky but really it is.
It's a self study class. 20%HW 40%midterm and40%final. However, for the final exam is extremely hard!!! Only one hour for 60questions!!! And questions are really tricky!!! He won't pass you even though you are graduate student. Grade is strictly base on the school general evaluation.
He's a GREAT teacher and I very much enjoyed his class. Laid back but still learned a lot. However, the final exam had 60 (difficult) questions with only an hour and 20 mins to answer them. Barely anyone finished. Dropped my grade and my GPA after maintaining an A the whole semester. Loved the class, not the final. The other tests were fine.
Had him for Auditing 1 and 2. He is informative, helpful and funny. He gives a packet of notes. As long as you study that you are golden. His real world experience and stories really help the information stick. My only complaint is he discusses politics way too often. If you are not a liberal it will start to annoy you halfway through the semester
really funny guy, but will not pass if you miss a lot of classes. you actually have to work for this grade; nothing is handed to you. Homework is not added into your GPA but if you do not do it you get penalties on your final average.
Took him for audit 1 and 2 in one semester and enjoyed both classes. Hes an awesome professor! Know his notes and pay attention to what he emphasizes in class.
makes the class fun so it is easy to learn. Great professor! Gives extra points for every exam. YOU HAVE TO DO THE FIRST 5 HOMEWORKS after that the rest are optional. one thing he dislikes is lateness. So, make sure to always be on time.
Took this class very early in the morning and let me tell you, his morning monologue really made it worth it. He's funny and teaches you exactly what you need to know for exams. Only first 5 HW count so you don't have to do the rest but he does make you line up next to his desk so he can check it and calls people for answers. Midterm & final only
Makes an 8am class bearable. He gives practice reviews before every exam. He teaches you what you need to know for your midterms, however his final only had a few questions he covered. He doesn't review tests after they are given. He reviews and grades only the first 5 HW's. Your final grade is based on what he has recorded on the computer.
He uses his own notes but his tests are tricky and he doesn't give enough time. There are better professors to take for auditing.
good teacher but you have to study a lot on your own. Practice and read a lot and you will do fine. Exams are difficult but it is all based on the his notes and also what he covers in class
Had for acct 321 fall class and was straight forward. Just need to read textbook and listen to lecture to do well. Test consist of multiple choices.
The best professor Ive had at Queens College. The only accounting professor that Ive taken that made accounting easy. Even though there was a lot of homework, the homework actually helped me understand what was going on. He made a 2 hour class feel like a 1 hour class. Cant say this about any other professor that Ive taken.
His lecture was very interesting, helps you understand materials in a unique way. Best accounting professor that I ever had before, however, you have to read and memorize his lecture note in order to do well on the exam. Exam is all multiple choices, memorize all the material you will be happy with your grades.
Professor Dauber is very knowledgeable in auditing and has tons of experience to share. The class has a lot of material but the notes are provided and it is good prep for the CPA exam.
Attendance is mandatory. If students are absent, he'll give a surprise quiz and that's five points off the final average if missed. Only 3 exams and 5 homeworks. He gives review sheets before each exam. Some of the same questions show up on the test. Review sheet for the final barely helped though. Gives a 15-25 point curve for the final
Third time I'm taking him for different classes and still worth it. He is THE audit professor that you want. The exams are based on his notes which r uploaded for u for FREE. Come to class, read notes, study. On either mid or final get 73 or above, u pass. U line up at his table to show hw even if its wrong, still counts 10%. Go enroll
This professor is AntiOnline, contacting him is like trying to speak to someone with no ears. This Class you learn more about his social life then accounting. Good luck.
Professor Dauber wants his students to stay engaged in the lessons. As long as you try your best, he will be happy. There are 5 assignments and 3 exams toward your grade. Tests are based on lecture notes and the textbook. He made the class fun by incorporating real-world examples in the course. Go enroll if you want a professor who is cooperative!
He is alright, but the exam questions can be a bit tricky. However, it's not too challenging overall if you have a good grasp of the materials
Awesome professor. Very funny and tells lots of interesting stories in class. Exams were fair, based on the notes he provides the first day of class.
Exams are online and you must take them during class time. You don't have to log on to Zoom to take it. Easy and chill professor. Gives you homework that you have about 1-2 weeks to finish and send to his email. Willing to answer any questions during lectures. He does curve on the test, but it depends how the overall class did.
Professor Dauber gives 2 exams, a midterm and a final worth 45% each and HW worth 10%. The are based on the notes provided on the first day of class and require lots of memorization. He is funny and gives anecdotal lectures based on the notes. Exams are rigorous and he is not a lenient grader, however I respected the transparency on his part.
His lectures were the highlight of my bad semester, he's funny. Tips for an A: print out notes he gives you, write down notes on it as he lectures, record the lecture to your computer. He uses repetition method, follows up concepts with relevant stories, translates boring auditing language into english. recommend participating to focus.
