I would like to take Nick Ditirro for all of my courses at LLC - I took an online course. I am going to look for his courses... he makes things clear - provided video to show how to install. Only complaint is that the class was online but that is the way it is these days

While the class was an online class, Nick was very easy to reach, replied in a way that didn't make you feel stupid (even when you did really stupid things...), and made the process fun. I will remain a subscriber to both his Twitter feed and blog.

Mr. Ditirro is a great teacher. He is willing to help students when they don't understand something without being condescending. He has a fair grading system, and clearly states what he expects from an assignment.

Nick was very organized. I took one of his clases on-line. he was sure to put up announcements every week regarding what was due and when it was due by. He helped keep me on task. He was a very good instructor.

I took an online course and he responded promptly to all my emails. We had problems with the book's publisher and he handled those issues well. Also, prior to taking classes he was very helpful in advising me on my course selection.

He is a very organized teacher. You always get a reponse back from your email. He was always patient when I emailed him. Great instructor!

Excellent Professor. Will work with you, very understanding. Not on a power-trip like other PhD Professors I've had. He's down to earth and really seems like he wants you to succeed. Teacher knew the material discussed and often answered questions not related to the material, but related to computers in general. Quizzes and exams could be taken at home with open book/open note. Made subject easy to understand for those who aren't that computer literate. I would take his class again.

I took an online class so any interaction was done via e-mail. All e-mails were responded too in a very timely manner and always resolved what ever issue i was having. Not only would I take another class he taught, i already registered for it.

Dr. DiTirro was helpful throughout the class. I did not really interact with him unless I had a problem, but when necessary he was always helpful. I am currently taking two more of his courses online and he is pretty ghostlike. In the future, I think I will take fewer courses of this type online in order to get more hands-on experience.

I sure wish this was an in-person class. When I had you for Server 2000 light years ago our class was vibrant, everyone added to the conversation and you had great anecdotes and examples to go along with the course material. This course was BLAH rote learning. When you do Server 2012 I'll sign up if it's a LIVE in-person class/lab. Thanks anyway.

HE WAS A GOOD Professor.

MS didn't design their Win7 Config class very well. Labs have access issues due to incompatibility between THEIR programs. I'm an excellent online student & get A's. This course was confusing to me between the online lab & textbook. I wish I took it on campus instead. I would have learned more & got a better grade. DiTirro is AWESOME in EVERYWAY!

Prof DiTirro was very responsive and as always eager to help in any way he can. I have taken other classes with him and will choose his classes in the future.

Nick is honest but isn't rude about his critique of your work. He will help you but you have to show initiative and work at the problem before he will offer guidance. He's also a very down to earth guy. If you're taking a computer class always go with Nick, he's the best in the department!

The textbook covered way too much material in endless detail but the instructor was very responsive to email. It was an online class which might have been more meaningful if taken alongside other students in the classroom.

Professor DiTirro took the time to call me to clarify some questions I had about subnetting questions in the book. He worked with me for over 45 minutes between his classes (when I'm sure he would have appreciated a break), answering my questions. That is the definition of a great teacher! :) Thanks Professor DiTirro!!!

There was a lot of material to learn in a short time. I think it should be extended to give you time to retain what learned. The professor was not very responsive to issues given the short time you have when completing assignments.

Great Class. Wish it was 3 credits and not 2. Nick was very responsive to a last minute request.

Course was very interesting, expectations were upfront and reminded on a weekly basis in announcements. Very responsive / prompt in replying to questions and feedback. Fun course for those interested in IT security.

Microsoft courses are always a pain to deal with, but Dr. DiTirro is really helpful! His tests can be difficult, but he is an excellent professor. He replies back to your emails fast. Grading scale leaves small margin for error. Any questions you ask, he replies with full answers to help you understand better. I would recommend him! He's great!

I took the online 5 week class and learn alot. Exams are definitely a proving ground to see if you read the content it the text book. Tests were graded in a timely fashion. Definitely would recommend this Professor.

1718 Labs are due out of the MOAC assignment list, a small test 3 - 10 questions per lab as its "submission" to prove you did the lab, BUT he gives you 3 trys on the tests and they are not timed. Besides the sheer lab QUANTITY you do per week it was an easy class.

Really enjoyed the class. Taught me a lot I did not know and improved the knowledge I already had.

He was there if you needed extra assistance on Blackboard. If you do all the requirements, there is no need to panic. I recommend that future students pick him as their professor.

Regular updates were emailed to the class at the end of each week, reminding us of what should have been completed and what was due the next week. Every assignment was graded within a few days of the due date. Any issues were communicated promptly.

He is really helpful and he makes it clear what he expects from students. He is understanding to the things going on in your life and he is a fair grader. Assignments were fairly simple as long as you can follow directions you can pass this class.

Quite possibly the best online class I have ever taken. Everything was laid out clearly and in an organized manner. His communication when you have a problem or need assistance was top notch as well.

I can appreciate a course that is clearly laid out, which this certainly was, yet 1205 was TOO easy. The labs literally have a "show me answer" option which isn't discouraged by the instructor. Basically an allowance to speed through the labs, no need to actually learn it. If easy A's are your thing then take this course.

Professor Ditirro is a great guy. However, I for one don't like the "if you miss one assignment, you drop a letter grade" rule that he uses. Everyone misses something once in a while...

Was a good teacher

I did alright in this course because I got my assignments done on time, but procrastinators beware! He shows no mercy to people who have computer problems the day an assignment is due. That being said, he is willing to help people who ask ahead of time.

Indeed a no nonsense course and professor. Prepares you fro real world situations and work environments as far as expectations. Professor is available for assistance and answers all inquiries in a very timely manner. If you're diligent, you'll do fine. If you slack, you'll feel the pain.

I took his online class. All you have to do is follow the syllabus and you will have no problem with this class. If you have any questions or issues, all you have to do is email him and he will get back to you very quickly.

I took the 5 1/2 week summer network + class with him. The professor was good even opened up the class to give us a few days head start. There was two chapters of reading to do then labs and quiz every week so be prepared to do a lot in a week. Biggest negative was paying for the online service that was really not very good and was just for labs.

Great class!! This was my 2nd time I had Nick for online class. This class was simple but a little hard. Good instructor to teach.

This class is easy to the point of boring, but some of the assignments were fun. The lecture times were relatively short, leaving plenty of time to work on assignments in class, but attendance was not mandatory. He was knowledgeable and provided feedback, & was always quick to respond to emails.

Course was essentially on autopilot, but destination was always clear. That is to be expected with an online summer course I guess. Responded quickly to my email though.

I do not know if this class is offered outside of the 8 week "accelerated" course, but if it is I suggest taking it in person. I took this class online and there is a TON of material to cover in just one week. It is a difficult subject to "teach" yourself and I think it would be better to take in person.

As long as you do the work you will be rewarded. Put in the time to get the assignments done on time, study for the tests and reach out to the professor if you have questions. This class had a lot of material to cover over the course of the semester, but as long as you make sure to do the work, you will be fine.

No nonsense class. Everything is outlined in the syllabus and he will have multiple deadlines set, which will require assignments to be done diligently. Most of the class is through the online book & you're likely to experience more problems with the book itself than the actual content but he will reply quickly if you let him know what's going on

This class was totally taken online. It is a 8 week class so the pace is fast and the amount of work required is heavy. When I say be ready to read I mean be ready to read. 2 chapters per week, anywhere from 4 to 6 labs per chapter (including hands on labs). Quizes weekly and a midterm and final. Lots of work to do, but you will learn a lot.

This Professor is very good, He posts announcements in blackboard to let us know what to do for the week, and was very good at emailing me back on questions I had.

This class was slightly difficult for me because I had never had any experience with networking previously. I struggled with the virtual practice labs at first, I then met with Nick one-on-one to have him help me with these specific labs. He was extremely helpful and patient. Overall, I would definitely take another one of his classes!

Professor DiTirro is one of the golden standards for college professors. He has helped me throughout college, his courses are clear cut and easy to understand what you need to do to pass. I have enjoyed every single class I've taken with him(5 of them so far with two more to come).

Nick is a fantastic professor and one of the few that truly and genuinely will do whatever it takes to help a student out, as long as that student is responsible themselves. This is even more impressive, as most if not all of his classes are online, so he does this while only knowing the students through the computer screen. Highly Recommended.

I had Dr. Ditirro for a Hybrid Intro to Computer Science Class. The class was mostly online, and the lectures he gave were loosely related to what we were learning online, but very interesting. The online assingnments were very easy, although some of them were weird. Overall, a great professor, and a nice guy.

Professor Ditirro was always very good at responding in a timely fashion. I never had to wait around all day for a response which is awesome in an Online course! I would definitely take another of his classes!

Great professor. Class was hybrid, meaning relatively lots of online work, but we did meet 1 day a week on Monday. I don't like this format a lot, some people would (better than online), but professor did it well. 33% of grade are weekly quizzes that I need to be more prepared for (read textbook! lots!); rest of grade is easy to get 90% or 100% on!
