He was new the semester I took his class. It was kind of fun. The tests were a touch hard, but he did a good job at trying to show us how the stuff was in our lives. I marked that attendence was not mandatory, but he tended to talk about things in class that ended up on the test.

I leanred a lot from Marsing. I really liked his lecture style. Everything on the tests was found in my lecture notes. Study really well and you can get a good grade. He is a great teacher!

Not sure what everyone else is talking about. All you have to do is show up and study and his class is just as easy as any other. Tests did have weird stuff in them, that made them different. Overall, a good class.

I love psychology, and the class was so interesting, but his tests were VERY hard. I really struggled. Studying really hard I pulled off a C. It was discouraging. I learned a lot though, I just don't think my grade reflected what I was learning. Hard hard.

Yes he asks a little more than most professors and yes he may be a little stuck on himself but putting those things aside he really knows what he is talking about and makes it fun to learn about.

Not the hardest class, but what Iexpect from a college course. He's highly energetic, but that helped me pay better intention in class. I did well if I went to all his class and took notes, and skimmed the chapters and I always pulled a good grade on his tests.If you pull an average score of 96% on your tests, you don't have to take the final.

I seriously love this class. As mentioned, the tests are difficult - but he gives you everything you need to know in your notes, so if you study them well you shouldn't have a problem. This class doesn't require a ton of outside work, and is a bit disorganized. BUT he's so passionate, energetic, and fun. I'm considering majoring in it now!

Nick Marsing is a super nice professor! You will get your grade according to how hard you work. It's a good class.

Marsing is a very good teacher. His tests are hard if you don't study the notes and don't pay attention in class. We hardly ever had outside work. Come to class everyday and you'll get an A! Highly recommend taking Psych with Marsing.

His tests are pretty straightforward as long as you paid attention during the lectures but the short answer essays were always where I lost points.

I won't lie his class is hard but I felt I was better prepared to take other college course after this class. If you are struggling go talk to him! He is there for his students. If you are a psych major get involved in his program. He offers you opportunities at this level of education that you can't get anywhere else in state. TAKE LECTURE NOTES

Professor Marsing was a really great teacher. Beware though, he talks kind of quickly so brush up on your note taking skills. The class was never boring and I never felt like I was doing busy work. If you are interested in psychology, Professor Marsing may just convince you to devote your life to it.

Awesome professor! He is passionate about what he teaches and is always super animated and entertaining while lecturing. Don't expect an easy A, you'll have to put some effort in, but it's worth it because it's interesting stuff you're learning. Definitely get a book and READ all the modules. Great man, great class. The issue here is that I'm not the best student. You must stay on top of absolutely everything or else your grade will plummet. Go to class, young padawan. Do your work and you'll be okay. But no worries! He makes class really interesting and fun. You'll enjoy yourself.

Favorite Class-simply because of the professor. His tests are tough, but if you study throughout the semester and try and understand the material you'll be fine.

I don't know what the "Poor" raters are talking about! All you have to do is talk to him... he spent 20 min explaining something to me one day. He will tell you if your are wrong so if used to being babied by teachers he will not. He is a bit challenging, but if you just show up and pay attention the class is easy to follow.

Phenomenal!! Best professor I've had & I've had some great professors. Challenging course, but you'll get quality education & learn life skills. He's fair, especially when it comes to group work. If you have questions ASK! He's more than willing to help! His teaching style is engaging & applicable. I was disappointed whenever class GOT cancelled.

Loved this class! Very laid back and entertaining. Marsing has a way of teaching that leaves you intrigued & wanting to know more! When that happens & you find yourself wanting to learn more, take his intro or upper level classes! He's great! This class has few assignments and no tests. It's just a fun class to take to see psychology in the media.

Great teacher! I loved his class, it was always interesting. He always engaged the class and made things fun, plus he is funny. He had several quizzes, but they are easy and open note and open book. Definitely one of my favorite teachers at Snow.

I love Professor Marsing! I've heard his introductory course can be tough, but in all of his upper level courses, he is incredible. He clearly explains the material, gives real world examples, and works with his students. His social psych class is more laid back- he gives you just enough rope to hang yourself if you procrastinate projects.

Best class ever. I have told all my friends to take Marsing's psychology class. It is interesting and makes you think about your world in a new way. I wish I could take this class every semester. I heard horror stories from friends who had a different teacher.

Professor Marsing's psychology class was great. I actually liked going to class and learned a lot, not just about psychology but about myself and my world. He challenged me, but made me realize I could do more than I thought.

He has you take notes but they're clear and easy (make sure you expand on your notes) Textbook is a nice thing to read along with. He is engaging with the large class size, he has his students experiment in class and learn course material by engaging his students.

He is hilarious and a cool guy. He makes it fun to learn.

He made learning a difficult subject interesting! His tests were somewhat difficult, but was always very reasonable with grading. Highly recommend!

Love Marsing. He's super funny + he shows that he really knows his stuff. However his (or whoever writes the Q's for quizzes, etc) SPELLING IS TERRIBLE. It's usually just letter order & sometimes if is of or is is it... But, all that said, he really is one of the best lecturers I've had. I changed my major to psych because of him. Do your work.

Super funny awesome teacher! I loved his class and he always made it very interesting. The only thing that I did not like was that his test were very difficult and you really need to study for them and read the book. But other than that was a wonderful teacher. If you take the class that is projected to high schools it is a lot easier and less HW.

I've had 4 classes from him and loved all of them! He has inspired me to become a psych major. His intro class can be rough with exams and he is a bit intimidating. IT'S WORTH IT TO GET TO AN UPPER LEVEL COURSE. He is absolutely hilarious, and he tries to make all his assignments fun. We've watched movies for assignments, even for a final. Superb!!

He is very entertaining in class and good at presenting the material in a way that's interesting and memorable. Even as a non-psych major I enjoyed it. Things're kinda crazy, as he forgets to post assignments until you have several at once (he'll give more time though). He also gives assignments in-class that you'll miss if you don't show up.

You need to pay attention in class and take tons of notes. If you attend class regularly and pay attention, it is very easy to receive a good test score. Professor also has corrections for the test. I really like the class overall.

I found his psychology class to be insightful, eye-opening, and fun! Attendance is very important, so don't skip his class to go on a McDonald's run. He works well with having the students decide how tests, assignments, and quizzes are graded, which is very helpful. I enjoy his class, and I plan on taking more from him again!

I personally loved all of Marsing's lectures and he is willing to work with his students. It is apparent that he wants them to succeed. He can be opinionated sometimes, but I personally find that much more interesting and it usually isn't super controversial anyway. The strongest opinion I heard was how he firmly believes JELLO IS NOT A SALAD.

To do well in this class you really just need to take good notes and do the assignments as given. Most have rubrics, and the tests go off of things he makes a point to discuss in class.

Mr. Marsing is really fun and connects everything you learn to the real world. You really learn a lot in this class and have fun while doing it. He is really strict with assignments and quizzes though. Some of the assignments are kinda hard, but that is because you learn a lot from them. Definitel would recommend if you're interested in psychology.

I took this course through concurrent enrollment in high school. It was my first college course. It was relatively hard, but not so bad I wouldn't recommend the course. Professor Marsing gives very engaging lectures and makes learning psychology fun, though. As long as you show up and actually try on the homework, you should be fine.

Professor Marsing is amazing at what he does, and he makes the class incredibly engaging. I will say that he does have a lot of students, so its a little hard to reach him outside of class. Hes a tough grader, but if you work hard you should do alright! If you dont show up to the lectures, you most likely wont do well.

Hes such a great guy. Hes there for when you need him, and hes totally down to chat for a bit after class if you need to.

Marsing is by far the best professor I've had at Snow. He's way better in his upper level classes than intro to psy. He makes class fun all the time and we did some cool stuff during class. His lectures are entertaining and there aren't any projects. The homework is fairly minimal and we only had 1 test the whole semester.

Marsing's psychology class was one of the classes that I learned the most in. I could easily go by his office and he would take time to help me. He has assignments that are actually fun, and quizzes you can take twice. He does expect work and maturity because it is a psychology class - but I never felt he was being inappropriate.

Quizzes are used to create tests but change just enough to make you think. That part of the class is difficult and not something that I really liked. I love the lectures and have learned a lot during this course. It has been one of my favorites.

Marsing has really good lectures, they are very entertaining and informational. You get 2 attempts on all the quizzes so you have a good opportunity to do well. As long as you study well and attend class you should do well!

This class is so much fun! Marsing has this class set up so that the assignments are fun and group oriented. The final is a blast and I really feel like I have learned so much.

Marsing is THE BEST! His higher Psychology classes are definitely where he shines. Social Psychology has been super fun to learn about, and he makes it so interesting.

Literally the best class ever. This guy could be a comedian. He's helpful when it comes to discussing catching up, grades, and accommodations. He's not super strict.

This is one of marsings most fun classes. He is really engaged in the class itself and you do a lot of group projects and fun assignments. There a few tests but if you study and pay attention you will do well, I can't suggest this class or professor marsing enough!

Dude is fun and definitely knows his stuff. He's very entertaining and gives lots of examples to what he teaches. HOWEVER, his class is VERY difficult. He's very picky with written responses in tests and doesn't say what you did wrong. Expect to take a LOT of notes.

Professor Marsing's lectures are engaging and make the class enjoyable. The material is manageable if you stay on top of the readings and assignments. unstuck study was super helpful for study prep - definitely saved me some time.

this class was great if youre studying psych. marsing had great slides and examples to show what we were talking about. you do need to take lots of notes and really pay attention. only thing I disliked about this class was how hard his quizzes and tests were. the quizzes didn't really make sense compared to what we learned

Such a fun class with a professor who you can tell cares deeply about the material and his students. Show up to class and engage with the material and you will have fun!
