His tests are really hard, in class he just talks about pizza and hot dogs, but you areally are never sure how it relates... then didn't even show up for the final... still got a B.
He is very confusing and hard to understand. He tries to help but you have to be his friend to be on his good side instead of getting frustrated with him. He tries to be more of a pal than a teacher but overall the class is ok.
hes a bad teacher but his grading is easy ... what i mean is that the tests are really hard but you got a way of making points by doin extra credit and quizes (quizes are a giveaway) anywho do that and youll get enough points to pass... i wouldnt take him again ...
Economics is a hard class with any teacher to me. Dr. Nervos tests are pretty hard, but the quizzes are easy, and there are way too many chances of extra credit for you not to get at least a B. I would take him again
he is a really nice guy and he is willing to help you if you ask. You need a book and study guide for the class. It is easy to make a good grade in this class if you do the quizzes and extra credit. I enjoyed this class and would recommend taking it with Nervo.
Cool Teacher may seem hard at first but dont drop. The test are hard but at the same time he'll help you if YOU ASK ! GREAT teacher over all ..I would take him again

I had him for Macroeco he seems a bit confusing at first but it actually pretty easy, If you need help with something just ask he'll help you and the extra credit is there so there shouldnt be a reason not to pass with a A . Over all is a good teacher Ill take him for Micro

i REALLY disliked this teacher. he is EXTREMLY unorginized, he lost my test and gave me a 0!!! and ive NEVER gotton a zero. He is EXTREMELY difficult to understand. he doesnt know how to teach. he has a HORRIBLE accent. I have no idea how he was hired in the first place. he's extremly boring, and u wont learn a THING!.DONT TAKE HIM!!!!

The only class i've ever taken when I did not learn a single thing but still passed. Making educated guesses on the tests and papers is apparently enough. He is interesting, jokes are funny if you can understand them.
Very cool professor: I would probably hang out with him outside of class. He acts like a "real" person and is funny. I made an A but had to work a bit for it. He give you every oppurtunity to make the grade you want. Some people are saying he is boring, but come on, its Economics!
Lol... I hate to down talk the man because he is really sweet and I honestly think he does not enjoy failing students. I think he was sort of a "slacker" in college so he understands...Did not learn anything about Economics! But still passed? didn't do good on any test, but one, but he grades on a 10 pt curve so I passsed every test :) TAKE HIM!

uh class was ok and proff was cool n good sense of humor. he is very smart but not so clear at times tests are crtical thinking n tricky gives test reviews that help ,homework etc. but is not so bad and hes flexible with late wrk etc. study n come class=good grade also need the book cuz he uses it allot but overall good proff. n good class .
He is not very easy to understand, he gives a lot of projects, & random quizzes so come to class. He seems like a nice guy & tries to crack jokes but honestly I have not learned a thing from this class. He teaches as if you already know everything about eco rather than refresh your mind a bit. If eco has anything to do w your major stay away!

Difficult to understand. R's sound like W's. Random assignments & quizzes, so come to class. No set schedule & extremely unorganized. Always 20 min late & 20-30 min breaks during class. Quizzes are hard, but reviews exactly like exams. Won't learn a thing, but all I can say is Review & Tutor.
Great teacher but a little hard to understand at times. Some of the quizzes are hard and random but the exams are exactly the same as the reviews!! So do the reviews and its basically the tests. Easy class.

His class is a joke. He is hardly ever on time. Always ends class early. Can hardly understand his accent sometimes. Loses grades and papers. If you are actually wanting to learn something about Economics, don't take this class
Kind of hard but he gives out reviews just like the test, i went to tutoring got help with the review and wrote down all the questions I had problems on, he let's you use a 'cheat sheet' on the test so there is no reason to fail. Passed his class with a B
GREAT teacher. Funny guy. Keep up with assignments and do your work and you will pass. If you pay attention and keep up in the book, you WILL learn. Always has great examples to compare economics with real life concepts.
Best teacher for this subject he is kind and funny also helpful about his work. Doesnt pound you on alot of work. Makes sure you are doing ok in class to be successful to pass. Will always give you extra time to finish projects and assignments I highly recomm end you take his course.
TAKE HIS CLASS! He's wants you to succeed and is understanding. He lectures from notes which comes from the book but still COME TO CLASS because he does several in class assignments and quizes that will hurt you in the end if you miss. Even still if you need more help he guides you a great economics tutor. EXCELLENT!

Coolest teacher ever, tells jokes to keep your attention, just go to class because there are quizzes and complete the homework which is no difficult task. Take him for econ! He knows what he is doing!
Lost one of my projects. Recieved a 0 for it. He claimed that he never recieved them and when I confronted him, he said it wasn't his fault.
Test comes from review. At end of every class he has quiz which will hurt you at the end if your attandance is not regular. Easy and very helpful professor.
He's actually a pretty funny guy! I really enjoyed his jokes a lot, but when it comes to teaching, he's not very strong in that. He'd assign us work, and everybody in the class would be completely clueless. In the six weeks I was in the class, I didn't learn anything. As for the tests, they are pretty much like the review he gives.

He's Hilarious! But disorganized. Sometimes Unclear, and Difficult to understand at times. But hes funny, and he tries really hard to be helpful, hes pretty easy going when it comes to assignment due dates. In an odd, dysfunctional sort of way he's kinda adorable. At least he tries to be very personable if nothing else.
He is a really funny and down to earth guy. he is a bit quirky most of the time but if you need help just ask him after a lecture and he'll try his best to help. his reviews are similar to his tests. his handwriting is horrible and he is hard to understand at times, but he does make the material seem easy. i would definitely take his course again
easy teacher! the hardest part of his class are the quizzes. I failed almost all of them but was able to make A's on his tests because of the thorough reviews. he gives out a ton of extra credit so theres no reason not to make an A in this class
Nervo is the most disorganized teacher I have had yet. He prints so much paper and does not explain what he passes out for homework at all. The due dates are a mess, the test is tricky although it's open note. He is VERY boring. His powerpoints are very wordy and he goes through them so fast, you can't even take notes. Worst professor I've had yet.
Nervo is a nice guy, overall I didn't learn a single thing in his class. He is always late so you can show up 10 mins late without missing a thing. All you have to do is make friends and collaborate for the quizzes and do the test reviews. His test is very very similar to the review. Definitely a good way to get MicroEcon out of the way!
Nervo is a really cool professor. He's very easy going and can be quite funny. But there are many occasions when he rambles about nothing, so you could get bored sometimes. His main problem is that he's really unorganized. However, his quizzes and tests are really easy. Make friends because he allows you to work with a team for quizzes.

DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is extremely unclear in his assignments and expects you to read his mind. He is very disorganized and rambles on about nothing in his lectures. Don't pay attention to the poor comments, he is great teacher he lets you use a cheat sheet for all exams including the final. Put forth effort and you will make a good grade, if you get to know him well he is a very smart guy and he let me borrow a book the whole semester. I was one of the few who ignored the warnings about this guy. Don't make the same mistake I did! By far, the WORST teacher I've ever had (and I'm about to graduate with my B.S.) He mumbles when he talks, will repeat a joke 10xs in a row and I promise you, you will NOT learn a thing in his class! Very disorganized, not helpful or clear.
His comparisons are pointless he gets off topic very easily. Extra credit king which isn't too bad but he is very unclear to understand mumbles when he talks not too sure why he makes us do what we do. Pointless assignments grades is VERY unclear.
You will not learn ANYTHING in his class. That being said, it is pretty easy to make an A. You will have to show up for the open note pop quizzes and there are 5 easy projects throughout the semester. Tests are hard but they come straight from his review. You will have online homework. Take someone else if your major is economicsbusiness.

Grades aren't exactly timely, but overall really enjoyed this professor. Very funny and makes class enjoyable. Pop Quizzes are often but he allows you to work with a group. Tests are hard but he explains everything well and isn't all that bad. Overall, learned a lot from him and would definitely recommend
I like Nervo a lot. He cares about you passing the class. You have to show up and be prepared to work tho. He is cool as heck, he makes class more interesting with stories that are hilarious. Nervo is the coolest teacher TAKE him he is very good teacher and will help you get an A. All you need to do is reviews and you'll be good. This guy is one of the best and coolest teachers I look forward to taking him for micro that's how highly I recommend this class. He's also funny and keeps the lecture fun and intertaing
Professor Nervo was awesome! I took MacroEcon in the Wintermester and thought it would be a nightmare since it was a semester class crammed in 11 days, but he made it a good experience. He is really there for you, and helps you prepare for tests with his reviews. His lectures are really funny and entertaining so there is no way to NOT pay attention

Gets off track a lot and his examples are most of the time not relevant to what he's teaching. He's a pretty easy teacher though, many group quizzes and understanding.
This class was very easy seeing that all of his quizzes and tests are on quizlet and he allows you to use a cheat sheet on tests. Many of the quizzes are done as a class. Honestly I did not learn anything, but I got an A+ in the class.

Mr. Nervo is the best. I took him for a wintermester. It was lots of work but easy. He gives plenty of extra credit. easy grader. helpful understanding & caring. DO THE REVIEWS and you will pass. he lets you use 1 page of notes front & back during the test. a lot of the quizzes are done with your peers. Not strict on absences or tardiness. FUNNY
His 'lectures' consist of him mumbling passages from the book and throwing in a few analogies that have no correlation and make no sense. He is very inconsistent, constantly skipping around from chapter to chapter. We get homework almost daily and projects every week, which would be fine if he could actually explain what he wants done. OVERALL BAD.

I can honestly say I have learned nothing in this class. While he is a lenient grader, I took this course to actually learn, seeing how AP and I do not mix well. Unfortunately my semester consisted of googling answers, watching videos for clarification, and asking friends/tutors for help... Be prepared for lots of projects and quizzes.
Overall, I'd say you should take this professor if you want to zip by Economics without really applying yourself to its content. His quizzes are online, his tests, though not in their entirety, are online. Just do the review because 70% of the questions on it are on the test. Also, don't forget to do online homework because I had to binge it.
Mumbles weird comments & analogies about ppts that he doesn't even make himself. Really unclear on grading criteria and due dates. Can't spell and might know what he's talking about but I really couldn't tell. His tests & quizzes are all stuff that comes out of the book that he's barely (or never) talked about. Lots of Projects unrelated to unit.
If you don't need to learn econ but need the credit, take Nervo. He assigned a lot of writing assignments (didn't grade them til the end of the semester), random pop quizzes, and in-class assignments. His lectures are hard to follow because he mumbles and gets distracted easily. QUIZLET IS YOUR BEST FRIEND! Most test and quiz answers are on there.
This guy is a great professor if you want to learn economics. The test a re kind of hard buy if you use the book, you should be alright.
I learned so much. I took him in spring and I loved his class. The reviews really helped me study and prepare for the tests. His class is organized. Do your work and you will pass. Got an A Lots of people who give neg reviews are the ones who ended up dropping the class. Class was awesome. Taking him for micro in fall
I really enjoyed how he taught. I had him in summer session 1 for macroeconomics. He is a funny dude. All the jokes he cracks he finds a way to tie it in his lectures. This dude is a great prof. What really helped me prepare for the tests were his reviews. Helped me & my classmates focus on what areas to study. Great foundation. Learned a lot.

Nervo is a great professor! He really knows his stuff and also wants his students to leave his class being able to do the same. Very nice guy and yeah he may go off topic but he's a funny guy so its okay. He really just genuinly wants his students to be educated and learn from this class. Thats his overall goal so pay attention and ask questions.
Nervo is very passionate about economics. I took him for Macroeconomics and loved the class as a whole. He is one of the best professors at the southeast campus.
He actually cares about economics and gives real life examples and shares personal experiences that relate to the topic. He does his best to help his students understand economics and frequently asks if students have questions.

This class was TERRIBLE. He is all over the place and doesnt even know what hes talking about. He gives you assignments / papers a day before and acts like you have had weeks. He gives so many pop quizzes and everything is so random. Trying to study on your own wont help you at all. Cant even understand what he is talking about.
I literally took him for the fall 2018 semester. I tried to give him a chance, but was literally only in his class for abt 3 weeks. This man, is hands down, the absolute WORST professor I've ever had in my entire life. You never know what this man is talking abt, & he'll literally give you POP quizzes over things you know absolutely nothing abt.
Don't take this professor. No incoming due dates, no advance notice. Worst decision I ever made.
Nervo is a great professor. He's cool if you are cool. He is a little sloppy but if you talk with him he will work with you. I learned a lot from his class. He does give pop quizzes so its a good idea to study the material from the previous class to be as prepared as possible.
Prof. Nervos first language not being English makes it hard for him to teach. If I didnt have the textbook I would have failed. However, his test are easy because you can have a cheat sheet, but he only gives us about thirty minutes out of an 2hr10min class to take a 50+ question test. If you have the choice, GET A DIFFERENT TEACHER.
Wow this is a bad professor, he slurs his words and sounds drunk everyday. He may have great knowledge of economics but he is not suited to teach it. He will ramble on about gorillas and bananas for one minute and then ask if everyone understands like you should know how that applies to economics. Just take someone else and save yourself.

Absolutely terrible, I've had amazing professors so far. entering this dudes class was like walking into a sty. pop quizzes unclear due dates. dosent label the work he has graded on black board, and he gave us a project told us to look at it ourselves and that we had a week or so to turn it in. no due date. Dropped to save me the stress
I would not recommend Nervo. He does not instruct well. The good thing is he allowed us to retake exams after our first attempt if we did not do good to replace the grade.
Didn't like him at all I don't recommend. He puts in grades late, like I did a project in October and finally graded it during finals week. Beware of this class you pretty much sit the entire time listening to him talk, then do quick quizzes, & you are done for the day. Be sure to order the book, because all the work is done in MindTap for a grade at the end of the semester. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone if you truly want to know about this subject, if not easy pass.
Allows you to retake tests. I did well on my first try and was not offered a retake. I know a fellow classmate did very poorly and was allowed to retake the same test a 2nd time to get a better grade.
Great professor. Had him for micro and macro. He answers any questions you have and helps out his students. He only wants to see you pass!
I had to take this class completely online due to COVID and it was awful. He takes forever to reply to emails if he replies at all. He didn't do any lectures and basically just made us use the textbook and do assignments out of that instead of teaching. He assigns a couple of papers, but they are fairly easy, and he isn't too hard on grading.
I was really struggling with online classes and missed a test. Thanks to the kindness of Nervo, I was able to take the missed test and pass the class.
He gave me so much extra help when I fell behind this semester due to personal issues. He was able to let me turn in everything Iate that I lacked as well as reopen some assignments and quizzes I did poorly on for another attempt. Definitely will help you pass if you have any issues. Other than that the class is all on MindTap and a few papers.
I regret not getting this comment into Instructor Nervos school survey. The last three years of my life have not been what I thought they would be, what I hope and dreamed of. They have been awfully hard on me, emotionally, mentally, and physically. His caring helped me on my quest to become better educated and helped me decide to not quit on me.

Honestly he gives extra credit A LOT. None Of his test are like proctor only the final in person. He has hmwk which are 10% of the grade. Terrible professor, never teaches during class and mostly talks about stuff which doesn't pertain to the class. Typical ends class 30ish minutes early. 80% of the grade are tests which are posted in a online software and are done at home. He's a easy A and that's about where it ends, wouldn't recommend for people looking to learn about economics.
His class was easy to pass because most of the stuff you had to do was on an online textbook including the test, quizzes, and homework so basically everything was online. In class, he does not teach anything and when he does teach it does not make sense; I don't recommend him.

If you want to ACTUALLY learn abt economics, do not take him. His lectures are so boring and you rarely even learn anything. But if ur looking for an easy a, go ahead. almost everything is online and he gives a bunch of extra credit. 80% of ur grade comes from the test which are also online.
He didn't teach well. Most of the time he just goes off-topic, and gives random speeches that have nothing to do with the assignments or topics. And he speaks in a low tone so you can't understand him or hear him. Would not recommend taking his class. He also called me and my friend "sketchy" because we laughed during his lecture.
If you want to learn about economics DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He is always off-topic when teaching about his lectures, and you are teaching yourself in this class. I had to attempt to teach myself to pass his class. He acts like he cares, but he doesn't. Lecture heavy and there is an online textbook. There is so much homework on top of that.
I'm sorry but this was the most boring class I've ever had. I didn't learn anything at all. It's not an extremely difficult class but there are a lot of mindtap assignments. As long as you don't do all of them at the last minute you should be fine. When it comes to in class exams just make sure you study the review and you'll be fine.
Dont have to pay attention during lectures. Read the book for key points and terms. Has all homework due towards end of semester, dont wait to do it. Homework is a little time consuming, projects are easy essays with minimal research. Cheat sheets are allowed for in class tests, questions can be very specific. Overall good professor.
The course is quite unorganized and some chapter you have to learn by yourself. However, he provides a lot of extra credit assignments and most of them are from his lectures, so be sure to pay attention. He also let us to have cheat sheet in the test which is very helpful. Easy grader and sometime TRIES to entertain us with jokes during lecture.
Take him if you want an easy A. Just have to do the homework, quizzes, and tests.
This is the worst professor I have taken at TCC. Not only does he show up to class late everyday, but he is very lecture heavy. Everyday there will be a lecture which you probably won't understand because he gets off topic a lot. If you have the choice to take him, DON'T not everyone is meant to teach and he is one of them. I learned nothing.

Professor Nervo is an okay professor, his class was very homework heavy. He was willing to provide support on the class content, but you have to reach out. Not many lectures, and in the online class, plenty of reading. Provided a lot of extra credit. Online class was not well organized.
Professor Nervo's class can be hit or miss. The content is dry, but he provides lots of extra credit. Lectures are unorganized, so focus on the textbook and use unstuck ai for helpful study tools. Just get through it.
This is the best professor ever man. I love him. Smells good too!
Dr. Nervo is the most magnificent professor I've ever had. Always willing to make me laugh. He also smells nice.
If you want an easy grade, take this class. But if you want to learn, don't take it.
This class was a waste of my time. Learned absolutely nothing and he goes off topic all the time but it was an easy grade just gotta do all your work but be prepared to be bored and not learn a lot. He also mumbles a lot and makes terrible jokes that no one laughs at

Please don't ever take this professor for numerous reasons. It's winter break and he has yet to grade so many assignments. We took the final and our last test on the same day. You can't understand what he is saying at all in class. He takes FOREVER to grade anything so you can't know your grade until there's literally no time left to do anything ):
Great Professor. Took both ECON classes with him. Excellent lectures, gives time to complete assignments. There were five excellent projects throughout the course, which I found very helpful in understanding the current economic situation and applying the course learnings. I would take more courses with him if I could.
