This teacher is extremely helpful if writing papers really isn't your thing. She takes it step by step and has you turn in your papers in small portions, checks them and gives them back to you do that you can fix it before turning it in for a grade. She is very sweet and understand but going to class is a major part, she does in class assignments.

Best English teacher i've had in college. Don't expect her to let you pass by with minimal work, she expects improvement on your essays and she is more than happy to help you. Definitely take her if you can.

She's amazing! She gives plenty assignments to help your grade, but she doesn't go over the top with them. I'd take her again any day.

Understood that not all students came straight from 101. She started with the basics and gave good direction as to what was expected on the final portfolio. If she gives homework, it is going to be graded. She gives extra credit for perfect attendance as well. No reason anyone should fail 102 or the proficiency if they take her!!!

I hated reading before this class but she made stories relatable and interesting and she really cares about students and encourages them to give their ideas during discussions. She even helped me during her office hours when I couldn't understand a story. I highly recommend Mrs. Dosramos!

Great!!! Love her. Took her for 101 and 232. Just read the stories she tells you to read the next class y'all do a short quiz on it. She knows her students are college kids so she is very understanding. One of the best teachers. ENG 232 has been my favorite class so far ever!

Awesome teacher!!! Went to her for help on my essay, and ended up with over a 100%. As long as you are trying, and you care about your grade, she's easy. she also gives up to 3 bonus points on each essay.

Mrs. Dos Ramos was one of my favorite teachers by far! She is very understanding and is willing to help! She is an easy grader, but if you keep making same mistakes she will be more tough. Read the assignments and turn in papers on time and you will be good. I am taking her again for English 102!

So far Ive enjoyed taking her class! Shes very specific on what she expects from your essays. Attendance isnt required but if you want to pass you should definitely show up because you might miss something important. She answers emails in a timely manner and you can tell she cares. I plan to take her again for ENG102 .

I really enjoyed her class for English 102. She knew what she was talking about, especially when writing a paper. She was an amazing critiquer and gave excellent feedback on your essay's. She really does care about her students that she has, and doesn't like to see them fail her essays or the portfolio. I'd recommend taking her for sure!

Great teacher! Truly cares about the readings and is able to communicate clearly the theme she wants us to be prepared to recognize within the text. Even though the tests are written, they were easy so long as you read the short stories and can critically piece info together. They ranged b/w 10-27 pgs and were all fun and interesting reads. Easy A.

Shocked by the negative review. Truly an awesome and amazing English professor. Her door is always open and she is available to help understand things whenever you need her. There is a quiz almost every class so just be ready to read the short stories, apply at least some effort, and sometimes be able to apply minimal amounts of critical thinking.

Professor Dos Ramos was an amazing teacher. She was very involved in the texts that we were reading and really pulled a book apart to understand the deeper meaning within the texts. She wanted to see her students understand the beauty of the texts and enjoy reading. Her quizzes were difficult but if you read what she assigned you will pass.

You have to go to class in order to pass. She explains everything very well and shes very quick to answer any questions. A lot of writing and reading involved. A lot of homework as well

An inspirational, and compassionate woman who radiates passion when talking about literature. The meticulous care that she exudes towards all of her students and her work, is matched only by her relatability, reliability, and accessibility outside of class. She not only helped further my educational development, but my personal development as well.

I've emailed this teacher at midnight and have gotten a response. She really cares about her students and their progress. Her grading is fair, and she will even allow you to rewrite an essay if you get a D or lower. I highly recommend her.

This is a response to the student who gave her a 1 because that student cheated on the quiz. The whole class did NOT cheat on the quiz, and at the beginning of the semester, Mrs. dos Ramos warned us to look up words like "Recitatif." She also warned us that quizzes are NOT open book. Mrs. dos Ramos is a great teacher. That review was unfair.

Ms. Dos Ramos was my first English professor at Southeastern and she was amazing. She always had good feedback and she believes in her students. She definitely made me feel special and helped me grow as a writer. I think she's a good start when it comes to English professors. She is heavy with essays, but if you need help she'll be there for you.

Overall, she was a great person and cares about her students! However, not very clear on how to do most things and sort of just threw it at you expecting you to know it. Also, would have been useful to see my errors from the previous paper to help mistakes on the next, but we didn't get our grades until after we had already started the new paper.

Papers must be exactly 3 pages or more.She is overall a very nice person and clear on what she expects.If you go to class and do the work,you will pass.She often lets students revise work and accepts late work.She will sometimes do a google meet if it is rainy instead of meeting in class.Having good attendance & going to writing center gives bonus.

Mrs. Nicole clearly has a deep love for literature and really loves to speak to the class. I took her for American Literature, so it was a lot of analysis but she understands the works and conveys the ideas in very simple yet profound ways. She is very clear with her wants on assignments, so follow directions and write decent work and you're gold.

Mrs. Nicole is easily the best English professor I've ever had. Her love for literature is very apparent, and she explains the subject matter in a very concise and easy to understand way. She is very engaging if you ask questions, so don't sit in silence if you're confused. There is a lot of reading, almost every class, but the work is simple.

Professor Dos Ramos is by far one of the best professors at SLU. While she maintains deadlines, she is also very gracious to those who miss them and allows them to make up the work for full credit. I took Mrs. DosRamos-Schulter's ENG 101-04 course. I had her Monday/Wednesday at 8am. I don't recommend taking the class that early just because it can be hard to stay awake sometimes. She's very caring for her students and easily accessible inside and outside of class. She lets you know everything to do ahead of time and never leaves you behind.

If you can take Ramos, take her. In my opinion, she is very easy going, patient, and is very specific in what she wants. She is flexible, and very caring to every student. I don't feel she grades too hard at all, and gives great feedback. Fix it, your grade goes up, go to the writing center, add on extra credit. Easy A if you work for it.

I had a project class and a hard math class so English was the last thing on my mind. Mrs. Ramos opened any of the assignments I forgot/missed and had clear instructions for everything in an online class. The best English teacher to take.

I had her last semester and wish she taught 1020. Our class was small, so she knew our names and worked with us individually when we needed it. Always answered emails, even if middle of the night. The class was organized and her feedback on essays was very helpful.
