She is a very nice lady. I like her alot. I have an A in her class she is really easy. If you respect her then she'll respect you. She does have quirks though. If you yawn in class then she'll call on you. and if your phone rings she'll answer it.

My favorite teacher. She cares about her students and makes class fun. If you respect her, she'll respect you. She loves what she teaches, which makes her inspiring.

Very kind and helpful. She lets you turn in drafts, so you'll have a chance to correct mistakes before the final paper. She leads interesting class discussions and is fun. Loves English and wants you to love it too.

I'm hoping to get in her class next semester. Sometimes it takes a while to get your papers back but its worth it. She writes a lot of comments and tries to improve your writing. She loves english so she is entertaining in class. She adjusts the syllabus to add stuff we like, if we ask.

Mrs. Fisk is really a great teacher to have for your first English class. She is very nice and easy going, and is very willing to give anyone extra help if you need it. The work load is not too heavy, but not that light. Overall, she is a great teacher to have.

Excellent teacher. Always willing to help you with whatever you need. Very cute too. She never takes sides when discussions occur, and can argue both points thoroughly. Workload isn't too much (4 papers, lots of easy homework). Definitely someone to look into for 101.

This is a great teacher to have for your first semester of english. She expects a lot from her students but knows everyone is capable of doing a good jog. It helps to ask questions and participate a lot... she'll consider that in evaluating your final grade.

GREAT TEACHER! Definately take this professor. She makes english class as fun as possible. Seems to love what she does. Only 4 papers, and she helps you out a lot. If you fail a paper for her, its totally your fault. Everyone I know that had her for 101 tried their best to get into her 102 class. Plus she is HOT!

Probably one of the nicest profs, she said she "hates to give anything other than As" so it's a pretty easy class. It's all British lit (it's her passion) and if you talk to her after class about Harry Potter you're golden. Take her, she's great.

Wonderful teacher. Very Clear in her lectures. Lectures are short and to the point. Does give quizzes but does not give out tests (except the Final which isn't bad). Only have to do four papers and Fisk is ready to help you if you have problems with the papers. Class atmosphere is very relaxed and fun.

Dr. Fisk is the coolest teacher ever. Take her class. It may be challenging at times but you will not be disappointed. The class has four major papers that she lets you do drafts on. She reads your drafts without grading them and gives you plenty of feedback on them. Other than that there is very little grading besides loads of extra credit.

I had Dr. Fisk as my English 101 & 102 professor my freshman year at USC and I have to say by far she is the BEST professor I have ever had in my college career after being in school for three years. Dr.Fisk is the sweetest and most ADORABLE professor ever!! I had her for a Capstone Harry Potter themed class and it was the best. She always came to class so enthusiastic and cute. I had to revise my papers a billion times with her to get an A but it was worth it in the end considering I am awful at papers and they turned out awesome in the end.

In the beginning of the semester, our teacher, Ms. Long, committed suicide. Mrs. Fisk came to teach our class and she was completely understanding of our needs and very lenient. She gave us extra time on papers and even extended our exam deadline. She's an overall sweet woman and I would recommend her to anyone.

It doesn't feel like a classroom but instead a place of discussion. Make sure to do your work and get as much feedback from her as possible! She is definitely there to help you. Dr. Fisk is extremely helpful and open-minded about your topic for the semester long research paper. She's a super easy grader, but gives regular quizzes on the reading. They're easy to pass without even reading the passages though if you pay attention to the review at the beginning of class.

Dr. Fisk is a fantastic teacher. I took her 101 Capstone Hunger Games section, and it was so good that I am taking her 102 class next semester. She is an expert on what she teaches, and she cares more about the subject than any other professor I have had in college so far. If you can take her class, do it.

I took Dr. Fisk for a capstone english 101 and 102 and I loved it! 101 can be very boring at times but Fisk always tries to liven things up. If you show up to class and participate every once in a while, you will pass. She is a very very easy grader. I will genuinely miss having her as a teacher!

English is not my best subject, but Fisk made the Capstone Hunger Games ENG101 one of my favorite classes. She allows you to miss a couple classes, but overall attendance is pretty mandatory to pass. She is an easy grader but also helps you enough to get an A. I am taking her again next semester and would recommend her to anyone.

60% of the grade is put into two essays and the topic proposal for 102, but she doesn't grade those until the end of the semester so you have the whole semester to work on those and get feedback. Her feedback is detailed and really does make your writing better. 100% would recommend.

Dr. Fisk is a great professor. All of the papers are super easy and she gives you a crazy amount of feedback so you can fix it and turn it back in and get an A almost every time. There are no tests or quizzes, just a few easy papers. Being Harry Potter-themed made it 10x more enjoyable too.

She is the best! She doesn't assign much work, and there are only two essays for 101 and one research essay for 102. Class is super small, and she wants to get to know everyone. She will notice is you're on your phone. We do discussions in class that you aren't required to participate in, and we watch a ton of interesting videos and movies.

Absolutly beautiful teacher inside and out. By far my favorite professor Ive had in school. She is so sweet and really cares about the students success. If you get a chance 100 percent take her course. Even if english isnt your thing, she is super knowlegable and will make your learning fun and enjoyable. 10/10

Super nice person in general, is very lenient with dates and will offer you all the help you need. If you haven't read the books the course is based on then you will be reading all semester, but the series she teaches in capstone english are all good books like Hunger Games and Harry Potter.

I took Professor Fisk's Harry Potter asynchronous online class and it was VERY reading heavy. Students had to read one Harry Potter book -1/2 for the longer ones- per week to keep up with the work. She never uses Blackboard unless it's for grades and has her assignments and their requirements posted on a Facebook group.

Probably my favorite teacher ive had so far. She made class so enjoyable and you know she loves her job. She is so nice and caring and really wants you to succeed. I am sad i will never get to take her class again. If you have the chance to have her as a teacher, TAKE IT

Dr. Fisk is the best English teacher I've ever had. I took her Capstone section on Gregor the Overlander and next sem I'm taking her again for her Hunger Games section of 102!! She makes sure you understand what you're reading and keeps the class open for discussion. You definitely need to read the book to stay on top of it but she splits it up!

Dr. Fisk is an amazing professor!!!!! I took her 101 class last semester and absolutely loved her class. She is very easy-going and keeps the lecture engaging. The only homework is reading and writing a journal entry once a week at most. There were only 2 essays and 1 peer review. The final was a portfolio containing the 2 essays and a reflection.

She was an amazing professor, outside and inside of the class. She was so caring and really puts in the time to give you good feedback. On the last day of class, she brought in cupcakes! Very nice professor and person! Would recommend for capstone english courses. Essays can be a little lengthy (4-5 pages) but not unmanagable and she gives you copious amounts of time to finish. If you show up to class and turn in your stuff on time you will easily pass the class.

Dr. Fisk is an amazing professor! I took the Capstone-themed "The Underland Chronicles" course. She provides great feedback to the singular essay written in the class. Her lectures are entertaining and you can tell she is passionate about her work. Participation is what makes the class succeed. You are going to get an A if you attend and try!

She is pretty lenient with grades and gives you the opportunity to edit all of your essays for new grades at the end of the semester. As long as you keep up with the readings, put in effort on your essays, and go to class you will do well.

Dr. Fisk is very understanding and it is easy to get a good grade in the class if you put in a good effort and get the work done. The main research essay is based on the books we read in class and is open for resubmission. The final assessment is just a revision of the research essay for a better grade as well as 2 smaller assignments.

Super nice professor who teaches fun Capstone courses. Lots of writing, but it's also an English class, so it's completely expected. Fewer papers than other Engl 101 courses.
