She's pretty cool, always wears something pink. Lets us do what we want, helps us out where we need it. Nicole=Awesome
Explains things clearly, always willing to help, and probably one of the nicest teachers I've had... plus she's pretty stylish as well. I would reccomend her.
She is very thorough with all subjects, and always takes the time to answer questions. She lets you do what you want as long as you aren't talking during the class. TAKE HER by any means!
Was my guiding light in passing my math class. Her teaching made it so easy to undrstand, and was willing to help all her students pass with flying colors! I would definately recommend her!
Best Lab Professor EVER! She is extremely helpful and makes it so easy to understand. Definitely recommend her. I learned more in lab than in lecture. She's really nice and clearly cares about her students. She made me better understand most of the course material, and helps you with anything you dont understand. Defintely take her for lab.
Extrememly nice and helpful and this is from someone who is terrible at math. Highly recommend her!
good teacher. helps you understand the real prof. who is a joke. if not for her, I would have failed with flying colors. willing to answer even the silliest questions.
She is the reason I passed college algebra! She is the best lab assistant EVER. I recommend her to EVERY1. She has study sessions that really help on midterm and final. Very few people dropped out of our lab class. she is an amazing teacher and can relate to us. She is so bubbly and happy to be around. i love her to pieces for being to amazing!
She is a wonderful teacher assistant! I have no doubt she will be a wonderful teacher. She is part of the reason I passed Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra. Very helpful and very smart!
she is seriously one good teacher. she isn't a math student herself, so she goes through everything. before exams, she reads the questions that are worded weirdly and helps us. i passed because of her for lecture.
Great Teacher! Ms. Legge is extremely helpful. I passed Intermediate and College Algebra because of her!!
Great class and great professor. She really knows the subject well and is able to teach it in an easy to understand fashion.
OMG she walked into class with BRIGHT PINK HAIR I was like look at this chick and it turned out to be the teacher. GREAT teacher I wish she was teaching my pre-calc class right now. AMAZING teacher
Definitely pick her class! She tries really hard to make sure everybody is following along (even though its a lecture with a lot of students)and answers questions thoroughly. We didnt use the textbooks at all but learned A LOT just ffrom her. The homework was easy and there werent any surprises on the test. I reccommend taking her class!
Legge is an extremely helpful teacher! She explains everything in the lectures perfectly and makes the material easier for the students. The homework is all online and you can keep getting the problems wrong until you get them right. Show up to lab! The lab assistants are very willing to help. Her exam study guides are exactly like the exam, too!
Highly recommended! Explains everything step by step, breaks down problems, very helpful! Drops lowest 4 homework grades and 1 quiz. Don't need textbook.
Such a good teacher! I recommend her to everyone. She is funny and nice too. She is always offering help in office hours and with lab too. Def take her!
Nicole is great. I had her my freshmen year and her class was probably one of my most easy classes. She breaks everything down and gives you lecture notes prior to class. Homework is fairly easy and you get to drop your lowest quiz grade and a couple homework assignments. She is always quick about replying to emails if you need anything.
I usually am a C average in math. However I ended up with an A in this class. She is extremely helpful and a great teacher. Classes aren't mandatory but if you miss it you miss the notes. She sends you the notes ahead of time and she teaches you how to solve them in class. Homework is due every sunday and you have about 8 quizzes. SUPER EASY
Soooo good :) She is an awesome professor and she makes sure you understand everything. While I never needed extra help during office hours, she was always reminding us of them. And she's not exactly bad looking either lol :)
SHES AN AMAZING TEACHER WITH PINK HAIR. Take her! She actually makes you understand HOW to do the problems in class. Id take her again
Great Professor! So concise and understandable even a huge class. She gives out her classnotes before-hand to follow in class, hw is exactly like the lecture. Tests are questions derived from the chapter section notes in the handouts. Makes math so easy, highly recommend! Explains everything in a problem.
Definitely easiest college algebra class compared to my friends. We had 6 test and homework. Lowest test and 4 homework assignments are dropped.
She is amazing. Literally the BEST math teacher I have EVER had. I hate math, I wasn't looking forward to it at all, but she made it easy, she's helpful and adorable. I love her, take her!
I have never been a good math student. However this is the first math class that I didnt struggle in. Come to class, take notes, do the reviews and you will not have a problem passing. However there is a math lab that is required with this class, attenence is not manadtory but go and take the quizes. They really boast your grade and are easy.
Super kind professor. Always willing to help & re-explain something. Study guides are very similar to the tests & some questions come from quizzes. She always has pink hair & every week changes her nails (you see it on the projector).Overall, very cool prof.
I would recommend her. She is so nice and adorable, she has pink hair, loves pokemon, and changes her nails every week! She is always willing to help and provide study guides and all the necessary information to pass the class if you try. College Algebra is one of the hardest classes I've taken but I'd still take another one of her classes.
She's awesome! I loved my lab instructor too! I HATE math but this class was actually not that bad. Everything is by the syllabus which I love because it's very organized. And her hair is awesome! If you take College Algebra take this class!
AMAZING TEACHER!!! Just go to the lecture and you'll be fine.
Go to lecture and you will be fine, she has great notes and allows unlimited attempts on the homework. My lab instructor sucked, so hopefully you get someone better!
I had legge for college algebra and it was the easiest most interesting class ever! She sends you pre written notes so you can pay attention during lecture instead of tryng to copy down the whole board. Best teacher ever definately take her!!!
I hate math but she made it so easy. My lab instructor was great also. Plus I loved the pink hair!! She is the greatest wish we had more teachers like her.
She really loves her students and her job. She is a great teacher and I will miss her. Take her class if you can. It is worth it.
I had her for college algebra lecture and although she tries to make topics simple, I personally thought her explanations were too wordy. I went to her lecture like 4 times and the lectures never really helped me. I learned through the lab portion, doing the home work and youtube for the more difficult concepts. Sadly, her final is pretty hard!
She is amazing! Best math teacher ever! She is so helpful both in class and in office hours! And she's really pretty too!
She is amazing! She really tries to make sure you know the material before walking out of lecture! I can't tell you how many times I had printed the notes, completed them, and completed the homework prior to lecture, but I still went lecture anyway! She's that good of a professor that you know she's going to help every lecture! Take her!
She is one of the best teachers I've ever had at this university! I really don't like math, but she made everything simpler! She writes her own notes, so you just print them and follow along with her during lectures. All test are 25 questions. Plus, I really liked her pink hair! I'll miss her after this class. I recommend her for college algebra!
Nicole is great! She makes her class really straightforward. She doesn't take attendance, but she highly recommends you attend class. It's helpful to go - she covers the material and gives you tips on what will be on the exams. She really loves what she does, and you can tell it's important to her that her students succeed. Highly recommend her!
Fun teacher, goes over everything but not in detail. Homework load is decent. She's random and fun.
The Material was kind of hard, but she did a good job explaining it. She was always available to answer questions and she did want to help. Best math teacher Ihave had at FGCU, so far.
Best math teacher ever! Her tests are not hard at all. She's very helpful, def take her!
TAKE HER. bright pink hair, even her eyebrows. someone asked if she was a freshman the first day of class when he saw her. she plays xbox and has crazy nails! test are all multiple choice which makes it a lot easier. you print out her notes and follow along each class. she's very clear and simple. homework attempts is unlimited. definitely take her
Probably one of the sweetest and most unique teachers I've had in college. Bright pink hair and wears Nyan cat shirts...laugh is contagious. She explains everything throughly and her notes are easy to understand. Tests are average, and homework is super easy. Uses a lot of hw questions on test too
You dont ever use the txtbk so don't buy it! She creates her own notes which are step by step processes explained in class. Gives you worksheets in labs which are the tests!! they are just differ #s. She doesnt give a lot of problems to do on math lab, print out the notes from math lab. Tests r 25 questions, final is 75 & gives a study guide
Nicole is an awesome professor and I would definitely suggest you take her for college algebra. She cares about her students and she is always open to help you any way she can. Her lectures are very clear and easy to understand.
Loved having Nicole as my teacher! You can tell that she really wants everyone to succeed. She is always offering her help to students and never gets frustrated with having to keep going over problems. Even though class isn't technically mandatory, you will definitely do better if you go to the lectures.
Prof legge is a great teacher. Instead of using textbook notes, she made her own. Which really helped make everything really easy. She drops a test and four homework assignments. Very easy if you try.
The hot pink hair throws you off at first but she's super nice and wants to see all her students pass. She made her own notes instead of using the textbook ones which was helpful. She's always offering extra help and to go over problems more than once. You should def take her for college algebra. If you don't pass it's because you didn't try.
Professor Legge is by far the best math teacher that I've ever had. She is very clear & helpful when it comes to difficult concepts. College Algebra isn't easy, but she does a great job making it simple. Don't be afraid to ask her for help. Exams are her notes with just different numbers. Take her, you will not regret it. Drops 1 low test & 4 hws.
her notes are handwritten and she wants her students to pass. The tests are pretty much similar to the notes. I'm a person who struggles in math and she made it clear
You really have to pay attention and learn the material before the tests. She emails you worksheets to practice on and the answers to the worksheets, but does not email you the work shown so they're kind of pointless if you don't know how to do the problem. The tests are the worksheets but with different numbers. Study hard and you will pass!
Never did well in math until I took her. Do your homework and DO THE WORKSHEETS. If you can do both of those, you'll get an A on the tests. So nice and willing to help.
Very helpful teacher
Nicole Legge is such an awesome professor. The first thing she says when you walk in is "Call me Nicole, not Ms. Legge." She not only understands math, but is able to teach her students well. I recommend going to class, although its optional, her friendly personality and attitude makes the class go by very quickly. I would take her again!
I wish she taught other math classes! Math is like a foreign language to me and I ended up with an A in this class. She gives you worksheets before the test and they are exactly like the test but with different numbers. Drops lowest 4 homeworks and lowest test. Definitely recommend! I want her as my professor again!
Legge provides students with a test review before every test which is literally the test but with different numbers. Since she's basically handing you the test, there's no reason not to pass. She also gives unlimited attempts on homework so you can always get 100%. Math is very hard for me and I am doing excellent in her class and there's NO FINAL!
Prof Legge is the best math teacher I've ever had. She always stays after class if you need help. Her notes make this class so much easier to follow. Super sweet person! Study the notes and homework and you will definitely be prepared for her exams. Her TA was also wonderful. Highly recommend.
I took Nicole's (she likes being called that) class for Summer A and it was super easy! I ended with a 98% in her class. Her worksheets really help prepare you for tests so pay attention those. She's super sweet and vibrant with her pink hair! Attend class, pay attention, and study her worksheets and you'll be fine. I high recommend you take her!
She is such a fun and overall great math teacher. She really cares about the students and wants us all to succeed. It is always fun to see what she wears to class each day too!! But she does give a test each chapter we learn (so over 5 tests each semester), and they are around half short answer and half multiple choice. Homework is average.
Nicole is one of the most caring individuals I have ever met. You can really tell she wants you to succeed in college. She makes great worksheets that we do each day during class. Her lectures are clear and helpful. The exams are tough if you don't take good notes during class. Make sure to study your notes and your worksheets and you will be fine.
Definitely a wacky person but Nicole was pretty cool. The tests were just like her reviews so it really wasnt bad. Never went to class.
We had a flipped classroom which was actually really helpful. She posts good video lectures and the worksheets we do daily definitely prepare us for exams. She doesn't give reviews or study guides so make sure to study the notes and lecture worksheets. Overall awesome teacher. Definitely willing to help if you ask!
Nicole is a great professor. She delivers a comprehensive and direct plan for her students to succeed in her class. I failed College Algebra once before, but she gave me the benefit of the doubt and helped me get through it. I took MAC1105 over the summer and there was a lab associated with it. That helped me understand the material a lot better.
Nicole is a really great teacher, takes everything easy, simple class for Business Calc. Very easy going and I don't mind ever going to her class. Take her if you are a person who struggles!! Homework is generally easy, but can get a bit difficult and hard to keep up with.
Im relatively good in math but if you're the kind of person to get confused, don't take this professor. She is one of the most confusing teachers I have ever met. She is very all over the place and she over complicates everything. Homework is super easy, but her test are nothing like the homework.
Nicole is really nice and sweet, and pink. She is very considerate on exams and really tries to get you to understand the material and will work with you on it. I would take her, but Elementary Calculus is something that you have to study for.
Nicole is really patient and easy to talk to when you need help. If you are bad at math she will make you feel really comfortable. The homework and worksheets are very helpful. She is very organized and clear. You can always get help from her after class or in her office. If you fail her class it's because you didn't attend class.... seriously.
Nicole is interesting to listen to and always gives positive feedback when we ask questions in class. The tests are fair and homework is average. Math is not an easy subject for me, but I'm passing no problem. Just make sure you attend class. Her notes and worksheets prepare you for exams.
Im absolutely terrible at math but professor Legge was awesome and super patient with helping everyone in the class. She will go over anything as many times as you need. Her tests are kind of difficult only because the material is difficult but she does not grade harshly at all. She wants all of her students to pass. And she has pink hair :)
Didnt learn anything at all in class. I had to teach myself everything by the class worksheets and homework online. Attendance is not mandatory, the ONLY reason i would go to class is to get the worksheets and answer keys to help me study.
Nicole has been my favorite professor at FGCU. She is so funny and nice. She has pink hair and wears funny dresses but she is the nicest lady! She will get to know you if you talk during class. The homework is easy and you have a lot of time to do it. The tests are also easy and she gives you points even if you dont get it right you just sow work.
She is amazing at explaining things so you understand them the first time. Some times her homework is hard because its a little different than what we did in class but she is always willing to answer questions. She is defiantly on my list of favorite top three professors at Florida Gulf Coast! Take her, you wont regret it :)
Nicole is one of the most outstanding professors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. I came into Calculus after not taking a math class in 5 years; she was very patient and retaught me many algebra rules that I had forgotten. Do yourself a favor and sign up for her class. You will absolutely not regret it.
I took Professor Legge for an online algebra class. I thought the class was well laid out and she gave us a ton of material to learn with. The final exam is given on campus and you have to take a test on paper. This seemed very fair and close to what we had taken online. Her videos, notes, and worksheets definitely helped me learn the material.
Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. She takes time to explain everything and answer your questions. I'm terrible at math but she provides worksheets that have the same type of questions that will be on the test and it makes it so much easier. Take notes, do the homework AND THE WORKSHEETS, and you're golden. Definitely recommend.
Super HELPFUL! Elementary Calc is a bit challenging but Nicole is willing to help you so much. If you fail this class, probably you didn't ask for help or you didn't practice the worksheets. I think the worksheets help a lot and Nicole does a great job to assist you in class and in her office hours. Take this class with her if you want a good grade
One of the best math teachers I have ever had. take notes, do the worksheets and homework, and you should have no problem getting an A. You for sure need to study though, but her worksheets are exactly like the test. Her tests consist of 15 multiple choice questions and 10 questions where you have to show your work.
Shes the best math teacher Ive had in my entire life. Because of her I went from feeling like an idiot when it came to math to actually being excited to go to class and feeling really smart. She answers emails fast, is very understanding, and has good office hours. Shes so helpful, I learned so much in this class. Take her.
Legge is a great professor; she knows what she is talking about and willing to help as much as she can. But, beware that this course takes a lot of time outside of class to master the topics because it is a difficult course. Attendance is not for a grade, but to get a decent grade you will not want to miss her lectures.
Really nice, sometimes she makes the lectures more confusing than they have to be but if you pay attention in class it ends up making sense.
Her online class was very straightforward and she helped students in person if they needed it. If you make sure to do all of the homework and study before each exam, you will definitely pass.
Had a really rough time in this class, but ended up passing by studying the worksheets she gives for each chapter which are a lot like the test. She is so sweet and really cares about you and understands it's a hard class. She is willing to work with you too. Definitely have to put in work to pass, like tutoring and studying
She is super sweet and caring, but she makes everything way more difficult than it needs to be, her lectures are un-organized, and it's so hard to motivate myself to go to class. But that's just me, her teaching style may work for others.
She is an awesome professor! I am not great at Algebra and she made it so easy to learn. Her notes are clear and easy to follow. We do worksheets everyday that reinforce the lecture. If you attend lecture and take good notes you'll pass. Homework isn't too bad either.
Great personality. Easy to follow.
Nicole is the BEST professor I've had at FGCU. She is so caring about her students. I have never passed a single Algebra class with higher than a C+ in my life but I passed her's with an A. Show up to class, take notes & do the worksheets. The worksheets are the best study guide because they're literally the test just different numbers.
If you arent good at math Nicole is the teacher to take. Her lectures are so easy to follow, and as long as you go you will get a B or higher. She doesn't give a final, her homework is unlimited tries, and her tests are the exact same as her study guides she gives. She literally makes math seem like an easy subject and is the best math prof Ive had
shes the best math teacher I have ever had. Shes so great at explianing and supplies worksheets for every section and the answers, but doesnt take them for a grade. honestly amazing. She never tries to trick you on a test she makes it as easy as . possible
Awesome professor- made algebra super easy. Her lectures are easy to understand and follow. Homework was moderate, not too much. Showing up is important to fully understand concepts because sometimes the homework online is a bit harder than the lectures/ worksheets. Her worksheets prepare you for the test
This class was the easiest math course I've ever taken. Nicole explains everything very clearly and does not trick you on the exams. There is a moderate amount of homework but it is easy. Attendance is not mandatory, but she often explains what is going to be on the exams and gives out review sheets in class.
Legge is an amazing professor as long as you go to class and put in the effort there is no reason to not get an A I got above a 90 on all the tests we had. Overall a great professor.
Very nice woman! Super sweet and really wants her students to pass. She does 5 tests for 5 Chapters so they are not crammed together. She also drops 5 homework assignments AND no final exam! Super easy class and she doesn't mark attendance.
Professor Legge is nice however, her lectures are extremely boring. You just go page by page, extremely slow, through the examples with her in the notes packet which may be awesome for some people who aren't great at math but it led me to lose focus because of how bored I was. Tests are graded heavily. Not a bad professor.
She is the nicest teacher I've had and really tries to get students to understand the material. Tests are pretty easy, but if you don't come to class you won't pass. Only complaint is that if you are strong at math like me then the class feels like an eternity, but it is still worth taking since it's easy. I would show up zone out yet still got A.
She is awesome!! I took her for Calc and she was amazing. Print out the notes, bring them to class and follow along with her and you'll pass. Attendance isn't taken, but if you wanna understand the material go to class. You use My Math Lab, so there is a lot of homework. I still recommend because her tests are only 20-30 questions and it's easy!
Professer Legge was super caring, but I was required to take this class this semester online, there was no other option. I suggest you take her in person, but no online. She doesn't teach us students at all, we have to watch a couple videos of examples, not really teaching, she didn't have office hours, it was a hot mess. Take on campus not online.
Nicole is one the nicest people, let alone professors I have ever met TAKE HER ONLINE (she doesn't require the webcam component of Lockdown Browser). Class is made up homework and tests, all fairly straight forward. Infinite tries on the homework's. I took her for college alg and then calc literally the next semester. Calc was as just as easy
This was my easiest class ever. I didn't study too much and the lowest I got on an exam was an 80. She did drop an exam score for my class which helped a lot. Just keep up with the due date and you'll be fine.
It's a no for me. I had to teach myself this entire semester. I wouldn't recommend her. The exams was nothing like the examples she taught us so beware. Take another professor if you can!
Professor Legge is a caring professor who tries to help you pass. Due to COVID-19, the class was moved online, which made it extremely difficult. She is very nice and caring, but the class is hard and I do not understand why it is required for business management.
There were recorded videos of the lectures, but we never had a class. The weekly homework was easy. There were 5 tests, which she dropped the lowest one. She also drops 2 of the lowest hw assignments. She is very responsive, so if you need help you should just ask. As long as you can manage the due date, you will do well in the class.
She is a nice person, and when you are doing well in her class, she'll reach out and congratulate you. You don't need to actually read the textbook, though you need to buy it as it comes with mymathlab. She gives many opportunities for practice and if you put the work in, you should do well. I would definitely recommend her.
She's a nice professor overall, however, she doesn't really teach. I mean yea she does but just the basics and when it comes to the homework and the exam you have to teach yourself the rest. When you ask her for help, she just tells her TA to take care of it. So basically you're teaching everything to yourself.
She is a really nice professor. Since taking her class fully online you really have to put in the work for a good grade and be prepared to teach yourself. She has great videos and worksheets but doesn't fully teach some concepts. There are 6 exams including the final but if you do well you won't have to take the final.
Let me start off by saying that math is my weakest subject and I even had to drop out of another Calculus class because I could not understand what was being taught. Prof Legge is awesome at explaining and doing enough examples that you'll know exactly how to do your work. Responds insanely quick explaining everything too. Make sure to study!
Professor Legge is so sweet and will always help you outside of class. I took this class online and all her lectures were straightforward so it was easy to follow how to do the problems. As someone who absolutely hates math, this class was an easy A for me because it was straight to the point.
One of the best professors ever! Not a fan of math, but she made it enjoyable. If you should up, take notes, review your notes, do the extra practice problem, and DO YOUR HOMEWORK!.... you will do just fine. I wish all professors were like Ms. Legge. Ive taken her 3 different times! Passed with B(s)
Professor legge is an amazing person who really cares about her students. She told us to email her at any hour of the night and would get back to us as soon as possible. Im so bad at math but her class is really doable. Had to use my math lab. I would strongly recommend her.
Professor Legge was amazing! If you do the work and study, it is an easy A. She gives so many resources to help, and doesn't cram you with too much work.
I took this class since I wanted to do grade forgiveness for the previous semester. I'm super good at algebra but I had to retake it due to only missed assignments. This course only has 6 grades worth 100 points each which means if you mess up on 1-2 assignments you're screwed. The tests are only 25 questions each as well which doesn't help.
The worst math class I have ever taken! Her lectures don't explain anything or help you at all, you have to rely on very good grades on your exams to keep your grade afloat. Homework doesn't really help raise your grade at all. If there is another class with a better professor, take it! I feel like you are destined to fail this class.
Professor Legge was super cool and understanding when life outside of school took over. Her lecture videos are long but I feel like its because she breaks down every single part of the problem so you have no questions (convenient because I took her online). Provides study guides and everything.
Literally if you do the study guides, like 70% of the exam is from the study guide. You will easily pass. I would struggle with certain questions and then try to remember what the answer was on the study guide and it helped me sooo much. Im sure half these bad reviews never even opened them.
I hate math! However, something about Prof. Legge's approach made this course easy. There's a chapter test and final. Video lectures W/notes so that you can follow along. Accessible outside of class and normal hours. Super helpful. If I had to take another make class at FGCU, it would be with Prof. Legge. Solid Choice.
AMAZING teacher! SUPER accessible outside of class and she really really tries to help you pass the class. Only bad thing is that the tests were lockdown browser with webcam, but it's understandable. Her lecture videos were super easy to follow and she gave notes to write down. Would take her again if I had to
the course was very structured, and she lays out exactly what you have to do to succeed. definitely recommend her college algebra class online!
Professor Legge was one of the best math teachers I have ever had, of course I had to study the material but she made her class very organized. She is very patient with her students and its clear she cares if you put in the effort and go to class!
Nicole herself is great professor, but my class had a flipped schedule which made it hard for me. I recommend taking her if you know you will be responsible enough to do the notes before class etc. Attendance isn't mandatory, which again is bad if you're not responsible. HW is on mymathlab, due the night before exam.
Ive never been good at math but always got As on her test from just studying the study guide- the test questions come straight from there. She gives extra credit on tests for taking notes from her lecture videos & drops 3 homework grades. Only thing is its flipped classroom (have to watch her lectures before class) and tests are 75% of your grade.
Never been good at math until her. Explains content very well. Very down to earth and will always work 1on1 with you. Cares very much about her students. She also drops the final if you want so try to do well on the tests before then. She also gives 5 extra points on each tests if you show notes. I wish I could take her for every math class.
Very good teacher. She does not do notes in class which is the only think I don't like.
Nicole is a very understanding and easy to contact professor. Her lessons are all available online and the homework as well. The homework can be a little tough but it's not bad at all. The tests are fair and contain exactly what you expect to be on it. She is a great person and knows her stuff about math.
Professor Legge is super sweet. She gives study guides for each chapter and that is how the test will be formatted. Homework was online. She is so nice and very helpful.
I really loved her in College Algebra that I took her for Calculus as well. Got A in both classes. Her videos were clear and easy to understand. I liked how she drops 1 test grade including final, so I did well in all exams to skip final. Would take her for all my math classes if I have anymore!! Not a drawback but be prepared to practice material!
This class was structured perfectly. Assignments are online along with the notes. If you come to class and fill out the worksheets, the tests should be easy. I ended with an A.
Do your notes and attend class and you'll be fine. You get extra credit on tests for doing notes, lowest test score is dropped, including final, and tests are MC. She covers everything on the tests during class, so make sure you attend. HW is short and easy, helpful study guides are given out regularly. I struggle with math and this class is easy.
She runs a flipped classroom so I had to teach myself a lot of the information, but she offers extra credit from just doing the notes. If you do the notes and show up to class for note checks you will end up getting minimum six points of extra credit. Doing the homework also matters a lot. Not my favorite professor, but definitely good.
Shes absolutely an amazing professor, tons of extra credit and will help you anyway she can if you ask
This was one of the best professors I've had so far at FGCU, She is very considerate and is aware what she is teaching may require more attention than other math subjects, She will make necessary changes during the semester if the circumstances call for them. Overall Ms.Nicole was warmhearted and welcoming, she loves what she does.
Had her for MAC1105. Best college teacher I have ever had.
Nicole is AMAZING! Lectures are online, and she goes over questions and worksheets in classes. Helpful if you have questions, and gives extra credit for taking notes if you come on check day. Attendance is not mandatory, final grade is out of 600 points... 100 points per test and 100 points for homework. Lowest test score dropped (can be final).
Such a nice professor that genuinely wanted us to succeed. Her classes are flipped, we watched videos and took notes on a topic before coming to class and doing practice problems. This was really helpful. She drops a test grade so if you do well enough you don't have to take the final. No midterm either (maybe because of the hurricane).
Very good math teacher. No real lectures, anytime you spend in class she will individually help students if needed. If math is difficult for you, she will try her best to help you and make it easy to go through the class. Very caring overall.
Take her for MAC 1105. You have 5 exams for every chapter of the semester. She drops the lowest exam grade so the final is optional if you push through the semester. She is super nice and will explain problems in class if you are confused. She responds to emails very quickly. Take her! She was one of my favorite teachers this semester!
Going to class is extra credit and make sure to do the homework. If you do the homework and pass the tests you will do fine. Nicole is incredibly caring and will always be willing to help you if you just ask.
Nicole is the best professor I've had yet. The class structure is a flipped classroom, meaning you have to listen to the lectures before you come to class. Her lectures are awesome and really simplify all the ideas of calc, even for someone who is not the best at math. If you're taking any math class at FGCU, make sure you take it with Nicole.
Fantastic teacher. Actively reaches out to students for feedback and assistance (both those passing and failing). Information given primarily in video notes which explain concepts clearly and easily. Pearson homework which you must complete, but prioritizes test scores. Proctored through Lockdown Browser. DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS. Drops lowest grade.
Here's the facts. She's nice and fun and wants you to succeed. If you don't take notes she will not help you with the class problems. If you don't show up to class you probably will fail, but attendance is not mandatory. She drops the lowest exam, so you don't have to take the final usually. If you miss an exam you can not make it up period.
THE BEST college algebra professor. Pretty much impossible to fail her class. She's so sweet and encouraging and lets you work at your own pace pretty much. The practice exams help so much too. I suck at math and still have gotten an A on every exam this semester!
She is an amazing math teacher. She made me feel important, showed she cared, & genuinely wants to make connections with her students. It is a flipped classroom, you watch the videos and take notes ahead of time. Don't do that? u won't pass.Offers extra credit, drops 1 test score. As much as I hate math, I would take a class taught by Nicole again!!
Such a sweet professor. She makes the course very straight forward. You do notes before class and receive extra points on the test for doing both the notes and worksheets you receive in class. Drops lowest exam score (includes the final). Do your work and you'll be successful, can't get easier than that.
I loved Professor Nicole! Flipped lecture style so all work is done outside the classroom but attendance isn't mandatory. You get extra credit for having your notes completed before class though. Very easy to succeed as long as you stay on top of the homework/lectures.
NO reason to take her if you want an in person course. You are required to watch the lecture videos for each lesson...she does not feel the need to teach in person I guess. You are issued a worksheet at the start of class and expected to sit down do it and show it's done by the end of class. Have a Q for her, get in line behind the 40 others..
Nicole is the most caring professor I've ever had. Her class is flipped, but her lecture videos are seriously good so don't be afraid to try it this way. Calculus isn't easy so be prepared to really study. She is always available to help you and never makes you feel bad no matter what kind of question you ask her. Take her for sure!
Nicole was amazing!! Best professor I have had at FGCU! Flipped class room but super easy to understand. My math lab for HW with unlimited attempts. Extra credit for each class you go to. Five exams and a final. She drops one test and five homework grades! So caring loved her so much!!
Be aware that the class is flipped, she provides you with videos to watch before class that make things very easy to understand. Attendance isn't mandatory but showing up with ur notes done and doing the in class worksheet gets you an avg of 6 ec points per exam. She drops 1 exam and 4 hw grades, hw gives you a nice grade boost dont miss any.
This class is reverse learning, which means you do all the learning outside of class through videos and then just come in and do a worksheet for like 15-30 mins. I didn't know that but I didn't really like it, I'd rather be taught by the teacher in person if I'm paying to be there but I still ended with a B so it wasn't terrible.
Had her for algebra and calculus. Great laid back professor who really understands how to work with business majors. Good sense of humor if you interact with her often. You need to work hard and not slack off or you'll fall behind. She won't hold your hand or baby you, but she is super supportive if you need her. Treats everyone with respect.
My time in Mrs. Legge's class was nothing short of excellent. I've always been quite awful at math but her caring and understanding demeanor helped create a safe space that makes it clear that she genuinely cares about her students. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone who has the opportunity to have Mrs. Legge as their professor.
do not take her she's so insensitive
Does reverse teaching, so you watch vids and take notes the day before, and come into class to do the work sheet. Every class the work sheet and notes count as extra credit for the exam, so attendance isn't mandatory but you get points for doing the work. You have to do a mymathlab with each lesson but she drops 4 and an exam. Highly recommend
Professor Nicole made this class a breeze. The flipped classroom format with video notes and unlimited MyMathLab attempts was super helpful. Attending class earns extra credit, and she drops the lowest exam score. unstuck ai was a great study tool alongside the practice exams. Definitely recommend this class!
PLEASE TAKE HER! I dropped this class twice and finally took it with her and I passed with a B. As long as you do the worksheets and study guides you will pass
Nicole was a great, respectful professor that made elementary calculus a lot easier. The classroom is in a flipped style, so you watch note videos and do homework outside of class. It was different, but overall her videos were very informative. My main con was the amount of homework, but it does prepare you for the exams. Take this class!
One of the most caring professors at FGCU. Everything about her online course is straightforward: the homework and tests. You can take her courses online or in person, too. She drops one low test grade and five low homework grades and rounds homework that ends in .5 or more to the next highest. For example, 87.5 is rounded to 88.
Nicole is by far the best professor I've ever had. She's caring, sweet, and just genuinely cares that her students do well. Showing up to class and doing the work will allow you to earn "extra credit" points that will be added onto your exam score for that chapter!! She also drops your lowest exam score and your lowest homework score.
one of the sweetest professors ever. so caring for every student and makes it very easy to learn and pass the class.
Amazing teacher!! It was a flipped classroom so as long as you are good with teaching yourself the material then you will do very good. Gives a bunch of extra credit for the tests. Each time you show your notes and class worksheet in class it counts for points on the test. If you do very well in the class you don't have to take the final!
Cannot recommend her enough! She gives 6% extra credit opportunities for each test. Only 5 sets of hw, extra credit, exams + 1 final. 1 exam is dropped (final can be used for that). She teaches Calc so well and actually helps you understand. Very easy to reach outside of class and is always quick to reply to a canvas message. If you can, take her!
I took elementary calc with her and she was great. It was a flipped classroom so the only thing really that took a lot of time was watching the videos but I really understood all the topics from them. She's very caring and asks for a lot of insight. If you did the notes and showed up you got extra credit on the exams. Loved the TAs as well
Fantastic professor. Her prerecorded lectures follow guided notes that make everything clear, and she gives extra credit on every exam. I also love that homework is due the morning of the test instead of 11:59pm, which is a huge help. Only graded items are homework, and 4-5 exams. She makes a tough subject manageable.
I am bad at math and this teacher was so amazing, i actually understand math for the first time. her reviews are helpful and relevant. She truly cares about her students. I wish she taught calculus here
You won't learn anything in her class. She uses flipped method using old videos, she doesn't teach at all. She is one of the worst math instructors at FGCU.
