OUTSTANDING PROFESSOR, just began teaching this, just got her B.A. and is in the process of her Master's, well knowledgeable and would HIGHLY recommend for any student, didn't have too much interest in Sociology at first but after taking her class I'm now a Sociology major, very helpful, responds rapidly to emails, very dedicated to her students!!
Nicole was one of the sweetest, most knowledgeable, helpful teacher's I have ever had. Lectures are based on power point slides that she makes available online making it extremely easy to take notes in class. She gave very interesting lectures & showed crazy videos all the time. Show up everyday, study & do the work = an A
Great professor, young and very hot. A great class about family and marriage, an easy 3 credit for anyone. You'll learn alot and have fun!!!
Made the class fun and interesting. Pretty easy class, but not boring. I would defintiely recommend.
Professor Loftus is extremely nice and very helpful. Her class was very interesting and there are no surprises on the tests. Papers are easy as long as you make the effort. Smart professor who knows her stuff.
Easy, laid back class. She lectures from power point every class and discussion seemed forced at times. She's somewhat awkward because she's so new, but knows a lot about the subject and is very helpful. It'd odd having a single, childless 20-something year old teach a marriage class, but oh well. Certainly easy on the eyes as well!
Nicole is an Excellent Professor! You can get an A+ easily but you have to attend every class and make use of the extra credit! Her lectures are important because when she says that something will be on the exam, IT WILL! She's always there when you need her and really cares about her students if they care about the class!
She is a great professor! I took her online class and so far it's the best one I've taken. There were 3 exams and 2 papers, and a lot of class interaction. She's the only techer I've had that actually interacts with the class on the discussion board. I loved it! Definitely take her!!!
She is awesome.. do the work...get an "A"
Ms. Loftus was classy and she helped me out numerous times! This was an online class, yet she responded to each and every student as well as replied to each email and question board post. The tests were fair, and there were study guides for each. Not a lot of essays and busy work. You'll LOVE this class!
Super boring class. Her lectures are unclear and cluttered. Don't take unless you have a really high interest in sociology, otherwise you will be bored to death.
Great online course! She is very organized and the discussions are interesting. You get what you put in the class, so if you put in the effort, you will like it. I do not agree with the comment below at all!
I took her online class in 8 weeks, and it kept me busy, but it wasn't hard. She is extremely helpful, responsive, and very quick: with everything!!! Grading, responding, and very organized. I was impressed. Do the work, get a good grade! (Duh)
Very easy class! I took her online class, and it was great. Tests are extremely simple, and so are the assignments. Highly reccommended!
Prof Loftus seems nice, and is helpful. She gets back to you quickly. There are 2 papers, the first one you can turn it in, and she will let you know what to fix, and you can return it in. There are a lot of discussion boards thou. You have to respond to one everyday in order to get high points. 3 tests total including final. Recommended class!
She is the best! Her class is easy as long as you show up and take notes. she tells u everything that's going to be on your exams! intereting class highly recommended with Loftus!
I took this class online. She was very clear about what to do. As long as you do the discussion boards every week, the class should be incredibly easy to get an A in. She was very nice and overall I had a great experience.
cool class great teacher
I took her Online SOC10 class family and marriage and it was easy. There was 3 tests, 2 essays 1 discussion board question each week. Not too difficult. She's a great teacher and loves to interact with the class. Have fun! I got an A.
The Online Soc 1 class with Professor Loftus was great. Everything an individual could want in a class Professor Loftus provided. She is organized, gives great instructions, and has great communication. I learned a lot. This class was very interesting. I plan to check out her SOC 2 class in the summer.
She was very friendly and kind with the way she handled her students. She is more about interaction than nose in the book. She is fairly organized, and gives extra credit opportunities--which isn't totally necessary but very helpful for those with borderline grades.
SOC.10 Fam and Marriage is my first online class and prob the best!Nicole is a great teacher. Clear instructions, loves to interact with class, very easy!Must buy the book! The class consists of 400 points-Only 1 quiz(10pts),only 1 discussion board a week(10pts ea),3 exams(50pts ea),and 2 papers(50pts&100 pts).Got a B+ in the class.TAKE THIS CLASS!!
She mainly lectures but shes very helpful and she provides you with all the information you need for any tests or the final. I loved her class and I would love to have her as a teacher again.
Mainly lectures but all interesting information. Three tests- moderately difficult. 2 papers- easy. Great class/ professor.
Clear, demanding & forces interaction of class. Test are challenaging and text must be read to do well. Also is reachable anytime.
Soc 10 was my first online class after being away from college for several years. I appreciated that Prof. Loftus gave good feedback and that her class was clear. There is a lot of reading, three tests, two papers and weekly discussion board. I am planning on taking another class of hers this fall.
Exams are extremely difficult even if you've done the weekly readings. Too much to do and stay on top of for an online class. Also, the required volunteering is a pain if your a full time student and worker. Shes very nice and helpful though. Not too hard as long as you keep you'll prob get an A or B.
Professor Loftus is great! You can tell she loves what she teaches. All the material that she provides on BlackBoard was very well written and interesting, it helps you understand the readings. She is a quick responder when you email her. It is a fun and entertaining class, I will totally recommend her!
About to finish 8 week on-line course, very demanding class, have to complete the readings to do well on test. Do not fall behind, keep up, and do everything she asks and there is no reason you should get below an A. Very crystal clear, took this class plus 4 others, so its very doable, just demanding.
Took her for Soc 2 & Soc 125. She is a demanding teacher, but you can tell she loves what she does. She is always willing to help and give encouragement. I hope to take her again in the future.
Extremely responsive with online course. Very clear and concise on requirements and always helpful with anything Very accessible via blackboard and e-mail. Excellent teacher, great experience. Very creative with projects and forums.
This Profeesor rocks She loves her job and is there for her students If she had other courses I would take her again she is dedicated to her students and teached in a way that is easy and understandable she also participates with you and repsonds back in a timely manner Best Professor ever
Professor Major is a phenomenal teacher and very passionate about her students succeeding. I felt like I learned quite a bit of information in the eight week period. Her tests can be challenging, but the best way to succeed is by using the study guide to its full potential. All of the information is included there.
This teacher is great. Very clear with all work and test. This class was online and easy if you read the chapters and read the lectures. I would highly recommend this teacher to other students.
Prof. Major really cares and is passionate about the subject. Her love for it really lends itself to her presentation of the material. She provides section notes that really help with understanding of the material. She requires one essay and a written assignment, both really helped me apply the material to life. TAKE HER CLASS,you wont regret it.
Professor Major's sociology class was one of the best classes I have taken. There are 3 noncumulative exams with a generous time limit (and she gives you a 3 day window to take the exam), 1 movie assignment, 1 paper, and weekly discussion boards. All tests and assignments are straightforward and easy. I highly recommend her!
Nicole was a great teacher. I took her online class and she made it very interesting. One of the best professors I've had at saddleback. Discussions are fun to do and the papers are not hard. Do read your lectures and the text to pass your three exams. Overall, great class!
definitely need the book for the tests. must post in the discussion board once a week and respond to two students. a little bit of extra credit offered. two writing assignments that were easy. tests are straightforward. Easy class, would take again
Professor Major was a great online teacher. She always responds to your posts and grades everything so quickly. 3 tests (make sure you do your reading) 1 paper and one movie assignment. Overall easy class just make sure you read and do your assignments.
One of my favorite professors at Saddleback. Clearly knows what she's talking about, very unbiased and neutral. She presents all of the information on a silver platter, it's up to the student as to what they want to do with it. She'll go the extra mile to explain something if you don't understand it.
An awesome instructor. It's obvious she cares about her students understanding the material. She does a ton within the Sociology department, yet she responds to student emails extremely fast. Like, within minutes. She grades assignments super fast too. I have no clue how she does it. Super friendly, super helpful. Highly, highly recommend.
Professor Major is crystal clear in all her lessons and lectures. Wish she was my teacher for all my courses! Make sure you ATTEND CLASS to take notes during her lecture because she pretty much gives you all the answers to the test. Also READ the chapters BEFORE class to understand the concepts in more detail.
Professor Major is so sweet! You can tell she really cares about her students and it shows in her teaching. If you pay attention and study before the tests you'll get an easy A!
Mrs. Major is a fun teacher and I would recommend taking her class. The material is not a challenge the study guides are thorough and make the test easy. We were also allowed to use a index card front and back for the 3 exams. She is a fair grader. She does give EC opportunities. If you have questions, she always happy to answer!
I highly recommend taking Professor Major's classes! From the beginning she was clear on what the expectations were, required materials, and ways that she could help if we needed anything. The class was very interesting, and I learned a lot!
The class I took was Understanding Death & Dying. Not the most popular subject of course but I enjoyed the class. Online format was easy. Do the work and you will pass.
She is awesome! I would highly recommend taking her class! Super sweet and as long as you go to class you will get a good grade. Lectures were interesting, and she grades on participation and 3 tests. Loved this class!
Her guidelines are specific. Show up to class, put in the effort, and attend lecture. She will help you if you have questions. Her lectures were interesting. The textbook was an easy read. 3 Tests w/ study guides and allows you to use an index card for each. EC opportunity at the end. Does fun facts @ beginning of each class. Lenient grader. Easy A
Loves participants, won't favor anyone, assigns two straightforward and easy essays, test questions and answers are clear and won't try to trick you, she lets you know what will be on the test so you don't have to try to cram the entire book in a couple weeks. Only three tests, which are only fifty-two questions (even the final exam).
Very clear. Easy class.
While I don't find the subject itself to be very interesting, Professor Major tries her best to keep everyone involved with her lectures. Not a ton of homework but a decent amount. Tests aren't extremely easy but studying and reading the book chapters helps a lot. Over all a good teacher and maybe the best to take for intro to sociology.
Prof Major is great! This class was extremely interesting and the workload was doable. There's a paper due, but she makes it very clear what she wants, so it's not tough to do well on it. Other than that, typical online class with mandatory participation on discussion boards. I'd definitely take Prof Major again. Easily accessible and very nice.
She is the best, you want to get her! She is so caring & wants you to get a good grade. Her lectures are not boring they are interesting. She will respond to your emails fast. She gives great feed back and helps you improve. There is no final. Three exams each have 52 questions (last two are extra credit). Two papers to write (not hard).
she really wants you to get a good grade!! her lectures are engaging and helpful, and her assignments are very relevant and reasonably graded!
This class was so easy and entertaining. The tests and the two essays are really easy. The lectures are kinda boring, but we have a couple of fun activities. The only thing that sucks is that you have to show up for class because we get participation points. Professor Major is so nice and truly cares about her students. Study guides es online
Professor Major was one of my favorite teachers at Saddleback. She genuinely cares about her students and is always there to help. The majority of the test is based on the lectures, but most of the information is spoken, so be ready to listen and write. The tests were easy, but you need to study. She gives study guides and extra credit. Take her!!
Professor Major is literally a Goddess. I LOVE HER. She really wants you to do well, and she is always there to help you. Lectures can be a bit boring sometimes but she includes some fun activities :) Take her and you won't regret it. Just be sure to pay attention to what she says and explains in lecture, then you'll walk out with an A .
She was okay for an online class, but I personally found the topic to be a little boring at times.
This was my first online class and I am so glad I had professor Major. All of her instructions were clear and her study guides prepared me for all three of the exams. Prepare to read a lot as this class does require a lot of effort. I also want to add that she very quick at responding to emails if you ever have questions.
Nicole is an inspirational professor that really cares about her students. She offers great feedback and is heavily involved in the discussion boards. She graded assignments within 1-2 days of submitting and was on top of her game throughout. Highly recommend her for an interesting and relaxed class that you will actually learn from.
I had absolutely no previous interest in the subject but she made this class enjoyable for ANYONE. The discussion boards were personal and forced you to be insightful and creative, which kept them from being boring. The book is free and the quiz answers are easy to find if you read the assigned chapters. One lengthy paper at the end, no tests!
Great professor, lectures weren't boring whatsoever. If you actually pay attention and try, you can pass with ease.
Super easy class. I recommend online. The book is free. You have to write discussion boards weekly, take 3 exams though out the class, there is no final, analyze the movie Freedom Writers, and then write a 4-6 page paper about yourself relating terms you learned. As long as you follow instructions you will get an A in everything.
Her online class is pretty simple, the discussion board post deadlines are at 12 noon so its easy to forget to post sometimes. Professor Major is always responding to emails and willing to work with you to be successful in her class. If you're struggling she reaches out to help you and make sure you understand her material. Take her she's the best.
Great teacher. barely any assignments. just show up to class on lecture days and pay decent attention and you will pass.
Professor Major is such a dream professor. Her lectures, few assignments, and straightforward exams make taking her class a great experience. She makes the material interesting and encourages real life application of terms instead of just meaningless memorization. This class is highly enjoyable, and she is so genuinely kind and helpful.
Prof. Major went beyond my expectations! Having English as my 2nd language, I was able to achieve a perfect A in the class! Discussion board is a big part of the grade as well as the quizzes which are easy because she gives out study guide! The book is helpful for the exam! Final paper was easy too as long as you follow the instructions. Take her!
Prof Major made the subject so interesting, if you do the work its an easy A. She also give a LOT of extra credit opportunities which makes it even more easier.
Weekly DB are interesting! You'll learn a lot about the source of problems in this world. Free online text book which is a huge plus. Professor M. is super caring, professional and is actively interacting with students on the message board. Not the easiest A, but as long as you read the book and lectures prior to exams you'll be fine.
Professor Major is the best! You will be reading a lot in this class, but the tests were pretty easy, as most of the answers were online or in the lectures. The discussions and writing assignments are pretty lengthy but are not too bad. She is extremely helpful and gives really good feedback. Also, the textbook is free, which I appreciated!
Overall, her class was extremely enjoyable. I learned a lot about our world from a sociological perspective. Try not to miss class too often because there is participation points in class. She offers a lot of extra credit which is nice too.
One of the sweetest teachers ive ever had at saddleback. I highly recommend, she is great at lectures and really informative. Her class is also very easy if you put in the effort. Only had 3 exams, final was not cumulative, and 1 paper. Super grateful for her!
One of the best professors/human beings you'll meet. Professor Major is incredibly genuine and really cares about the subject she teaches. It is very refreshing to see a professor who expects as much from herself as she does her students. Make sure you participate.
Death and Dying was a class on a topic that evokes a lot of feelings. Professor Major is always offering students resources outside of class to help them with job placement or volunteer hours. There's one paper and discussion posts with at least 2 replies. 3 Exams. Do your work on time and you will be fine. She is accessible if you want to meet.
Prof. Major is great! She is very nice and the class is pretty easy. If you go to class, participate, and take notes on the lecture you will do very well in the class. Prof. Major keeps the lectures entertaining and she cares about her students!
This was class surprised me, yes it was easy, but also very informative. I thoroughly enjoyed taking Professor Majors class and highly recommend taking this teacher for Sociology. You will not regret it!!
Super nice and great at explaining things. Tests are just like the study guide. Assigns two papers and both have clear guidelines. Offers a lot of extra credit.
She really made my Monday 9am class fun! She was always so sweet, you get a notecard on tests and if you study it's an easy A! Overall a very interesting class and really good lectures. I suggest taking notes, I didn't really use the book all that much.
Very easy and interesting class. Three major tests and one paper but if you know the general concepts you'll be completely fine. Major is really nice and gives good feedback on the paper.
I absolutely loved this class as well as professor Major! She made learning about sociology easy and enjoyable and was really interested in what her students had to say about topics. There was a medical emergency in my class and she threw off her shoes and ran to the health center to get help as campus police did not do much. TAKE HER CLASS!
Super sweet definetly take her class. I never even bought the book. Although class is mandatory, you can get away with skipping a few lectures.
I took her online class. REALLY EASY. Weekly discussions boards. 2 papers (analyze the movie, "Freedom Writers" & another paper by applying sociology terms to your life which is worth 100 pts.) She has a clear grading criteria. Her exams are easy which can be found on google or Quizlet. Extra credit is offered. Take her! It's an easy course!
1 discussion board and 1 test per week, textbook is free.
Though the class itself was not bad, I did not enjoy it. It was a lot of reading and the assignments and exams delved deeper than the lectures seemed to. Professor Major is accessible but some things were still unclear of expectations. I personally would not take her class again but it was just my personal experience and others may like her style.
Legit the kindest, most caring professor you will ever meet. She cares about her classes, she has the best lectures, the text book is free but I never used it and still ended with 100 in the class. It is super easy as long as you show up and participate in discussions every now and then. There is extra credit that is easy to do as well. Take her !!
Lots of work for the assignments and the exams. The disucssions are ok however the two to three essays that are written arent easy and require you to have great essay writing skills or she will doc off. Took this class last semester and due to being ENglish as second language it takes a lot of practice to just pass the class with a good grade.
I'm a high school student and was able to pass this class with flying colors! There is a lot to reading, but the topics are interesting and will feel like nothing. There are 2 papers that have clear instructions and grading criteria. English is my weakest subject but I almost got 100% on both just by following the directions! Take this course!
if you are interested in taking any type of soc class, she is the professor you want! She is so amazing and genuinely cares about her students. There are 2 big assignments and weekly discussion boards. There are 3 tests. The modules are very neat and easy to understand. The textbook is free as well. She offers lots of extra credit. 10/10 recommend.
Throughout her course, I only had 7 discussion boards, 2 essays, 3 exams, and gives plenty of extra credit. When it comes to the essay, I typically do poorly, but as long as you fulfill the requirements on it you get 100%. I also didn't study for her exams and I averaged 84% on all of them.
Professor Major is a very caring and passionate teacher. She goes out of her way for her students to ensure success. There are six discussion boards, two essays, three exams and plenty of extra credit opportunities. The textbook is free and she allows plenty of time to complete assignments. This class is as easy "A" as long as you complete the work
By far one of the best teachers Ive ever had. She is very involved and helpful. Any issue or concern I had, she helped me with very easily. She truly cares about her students. Weekly discussion and a total of 4 exams. Super easy class. Offers extra credit. I got a 98. Take her class if you want an easy class where youre still engaged in learning
Professor Major really cares about her students. Tests are hard but she gives a study guide (very helpful). On the paper, she will read it over and give you feedback. Response to emails very quickly. DB's are hard but it gets you thinking. Just follow the prompt and you will do fine. I recommend her
A beautiful lady who is very patient! Even if my paper is poor, she will always reply to me patiently and guide me on doing it. Each student's work will be answered and evaluated. This is one of the best professors I have ever met! Don't miss her class!
Highly recommend. Took the 8 week summer course and did very well. Nicely structured course. Prof Major was very helpful. Provides free online text, 2 major writing assignments that were easy to complete and she was helpful. Make sure to complete the disc boards as she requires, use the study guides (3 exams) and do the extra credit.
Complete weekly discussion boards like she tells you to and do the reading in the text and lectures on the modules and you should be able to do well in her class. Super nice and responsive to students. The material and hw were not difficult to follow for me. Modules were super nicely set up. She provides a study guide for exams. Take her!
Highly recommend! She cares about students & their success. MULTIPLE extra credit opportunities. Assignments graded quickly. Study guides match with testing material. Week began on Friday, ended on Thursday. Quick on email replies, participates in discussion board. If you put in the light amount of work necessary, you will thoroughly enjoy class.
I took Professor Major for Sociology for the Fall term. It was an online class and was eight weeks long. Her online class is super easy to understand and is really straightforward. The material is not hard and she's accessible (and nice) if you need help. As long as you do the work, which is easy, by the deadline, you can come out with an A. Do it!
She is one of the best professors In Saddleback. She is very kind and caring. She offers Many extra credits. I wish we had more time with her. I took her online class, and I think she was a real gem in our class.
The subject was nice but she expects you to reply to several classmates' discussion board posts plus reply to replies. And by the end of the day, nothing really meaningful comes out of the discussion. A lot of extra reading too like newspaper articles and even movies to watch. She grades on time and has good study guides which is great.
assignments weren't hard (1 discussion post & quiz a week) but the post required that u reply to at least 2 other students spread thruout the week. So basically if you reply to 2 classmates' posts in one sitting you'll get points off which is annoying & unnecessary. but there's multiple extra credit opportunities & she inputs grades super quickly.
Great Professor! She is kind and responds to emails very fast. She doesnt require very much work at all. There are a few test and a paper due throughout the semester. I am very impressed with her great structure and well laid out instructions for each assignment. You wont regret taking this class because its not stressful.
I learned a lot taking this class, and it was not difficult as a summer course. I really like how everything was about looking at your life through a sociological lens. There is a reasonable amount of work, so don't slack off. Remember to use the textbook for discussions and papers. Do the work, get the grade you want.
Professor Major is very caring and wants you to do good in her class. She's always available to answer questions and answers fast. I took the online 8-week class which was fast paced but not too bad. She offers many easy extra credit opportunities. This class does require a lot of reading but as long as you stay on top of the work you'll be fine.
She was a kind and caring teacher. She wants you to succeed. The class was fairly easy to manage and it had no textbook cost!
I LOVE this class. The teaching style was great. I felt as if the grading was based on effort. The class overall was easy as long as you put in the work. She does have in-person assignments but she lets you know in advance what days they are on. She gives a lot of opportunities to receive extra credit. Super great class and professor
Easy but surprisingly enjoyable online course. Prof gives plenty of time for assignments, only 3 tests! lots of extra credit! two papers, one is pretty easy and based on a movie, and the other one on your life, have at least 2 weeks of no assignments to work on it. very generous with grading; just follow the prompts. Would 100% take again!
I love her style of teaching. She is always available and gets back to you quickly, such a cool professor. She only wants us to succeed. Her canvas is the best I have seen this far.
Professor Major is a great teacher who takes her time in learning about all of her students. She's very passionate in what she does and is also very helpful with any questions you might have. My class was a hybrid one and she made it very easy to reach her and understand all of the material we were learning.
Uses all applications with money MW and Adobe and gives us tasks (watched the movie) and did not give us a free resource available So you must buy it. She wants a busy discussion board that you have to reply to and discuss with all your classmates, she didn't give you any printed chapters or lecture if you want a book you have to buy!
Professor Major is a very caring professor who gives great feedback. The class was really easy but had a fair amount of reading. Only one big paper assignment and it wasn't even that hard. Also, the textbook was free.
Prof. Major was a great professor who answered any questions I had. She's clearly knowledgeable in both Sociology and in running an online classroom. There's a single essay and it's easy, but if you have any issues she will absolutely help you. Also, the textbook for this class is completely free and she provides the online link to it.
This is a great class and the professor is very organized and for it was fairly easy to stay focused on the objectives. Dedicate yourself to reading a lot of information. Study and follow the directions for the discussions, the paper and the tests and you will do well in the class.
Great class & professor is really sweet. The textbook is free. Exams are easy because she lays out exactly what will be on them, and discussion boards have clear instructions. I would absolutely take this professor again & recommend this class to anyone!
I took her last year in Summer 2022. Major's passion for this course was so clear in her lectures. She had one of my favorite projects where we go to watch this super fun movie and find sociological terms. It was great and I enjoyed all the projects. She will forever be my fav professor.
She is a fair grader and extremely caring. Her lectures are very helpful and personally, I did not need to use the textbook. The quizzes have study guides that outline everything making them easy enough to pass. Death and Dying was a sad course but overall intriguing and fun with her as always.
Very easy course with minimal assignments and homework. Throughout the entire course, there was three exams and two essays, both of which are difficult to not do well on. Reading was assigned, but I managed to get an A without reading at all. Lectures are fairly fascinating and you can tell she clearly cares about this topic.
Very nice teacher. Most of the class is lectures, but it isn't the most boring lecture ever. She rarely gave any homework and she has fun kahoots before the tests. I would definitely recommend!
Professor Major gives good lectures in class and makes an effort to connect with students! The tests are not very difficult, and the study guides for them are helpful. There are a couple writing assignments for the class, but she is not a very hard grader and gives a lot of leeway with them.
This teacher was great! She gave us notecards for the test and the tests weren't difficult with very minimal homework. She is very nice and would definitely recommend for Soc 1.
Professor Major really cared about her students and the assignments she posted. Her class was really easy, and the lectures were genuinely interesting. This class isn't hard but it is busy work. I would definitely take this class again!
Major's SOC1 class is a great option. Engaging lectures, minimal homework, and supportive grading. unstuckstudy was super helpful for acing the exams.
Professor Major is passionate about sociology and offers clear lectures with easy exams and papers. The Canvas page and assignment guidelines are sometimes overcomplicated. She can get stressed about time even though she is never very far behind. Overall, this is an excellent class that is very conducive to a full schedule.
Pretty cool and chill class. The only work really is one discussion board a week. Tests and quizzes are all multiple choice. There is a paper, but it is really doable. All info is provided in the class link textbook. Great teacher overall.
Death and Dying was one of my favorite classes this semester! 12 discussion forums mainly based on personal experience and occasionally some research, weekly reading, 1 very fun paper based on an interview with a professional, and 3 open book mcq tests. Straightforward grader (just follow the rubric!) and lots of ec--I finished with over 100%!
A really good 8-week online class experience! Professor Major is really passionate about her work, every assignment she gives good feedback. Of course, there are many reading tasks in each unit, but she always manages to make all the homework very interesting.
Professor Major was probably one of the best professors I have had at Saddleback. She is so helpful and interactive with her students, making sure that no one is falling behind. I absolutely recommend her!
Very easy 12 week class! Homework each week was usually a discussion post and some readings in canvas and the online textbook. There were 3 tests and a couple larger paper assignments, but none were very difficult at all. The textbook readings could get tedious at times, but it could easily be skimmed for key information if you don't have the time.
Professor Major is one of my favorite professors at saddleback. She is so helpful and always responds to emails. You can tell she genuinely cares and wants you to pass, and also makes sure you're not falling behind. The exams are multiple choice and are based on the lecture and textbook. If you have the chance, I would recommend taking her class!
Took intro to SOC1 with this professor. Very easy but interesting class.
Professor Major is very friendly and passionate. The work load was always manageable and the lectures were easy to understand. The extra credit opportunities were also generous. I highly recommend her.
The class was engaging, and she was genuinely a fun and enjoyable teacher
Really amazing teacher!
Show up to class and you'll pass. Every assignment except for a couple are done in class and graded on participation and you get a cheat sheet on all 3 exams. Easy extra credit too.
