Great Teacher! Class is easy and she makes public speaking fun. Grades are very easy to earn, and she keeps you updated on your overall grade throughout. Little HW but many speeches. Definitely Recommend if you have to take Public Speaking!

Easy to talk to. Also easy on the eyes. Giggity. She sticks to her guns very well. No unwelcome surprises here. The syllabus she gives you is practically a class by class guide. Fantastic teacher.

Seriously. This professor will force you to become a better speaker. I'm painfully shy. I've spent 40 years avoiding speaking in front of people like the plague. I won't say I'm a great speaker, but, thanks to her, I actualy enjoy it somewhat now. Honestly, if you hate speaking...this is the prof. for you! Be patient. She'll get you there.

Very outgoing and fun teacher. I expected the class to be so easy but her quizzes and test were hard. I took her 8am class and she made us stand up do stupid exercises to get awake. But overall, she was fun and made the class interesting.

LOVED this class!! (ive taken this class 3 times before by other teachers) Quizes are easy if you just pay attention. She made the class sooo fun you didn't even feel like you were working. We had an extra credit speech at the end so it's impossible to do bad in this class.

Lots of fun activities--Lectures are way better than the book and quizzes are straight from the lectures---EASY! You will look forward to going to this class every time! Not one boring day!! Wish she taught other classes!

WONDERFUL teacher!! She is incredibly helpful, lots of fun, and definitely the best speech teacher one could ask for. She uses PowerPoints, but you should take notes! Notes can be used on the final exam. :) She gives great constructive criticism as well. Doesn't really use the book much, but you should have it anyway. Recommend!!!

She was soooo fun. She kinda unifies the class and by the end of the semester you definitely gain a lot of confidence speaking in front of them. Bottom line: take her. She makes speech more fun and interesting then nerve racking and she's the best speech teacher at Seminole State.

One of my favorite classes this semester. Before I started the class i was dreading it but after the first week i loved it. She unified the class, which made it that much easier to get up and speak. I wish she didn't have to leave half way through the semester to have her baby. If she taught another class i would definitely take it.

i really did not want to take this class but i must feel attle bit more confidnet speaking with others. what i loved about this speech class was that no matter what she never tried to embarrass you or make you feel bad if you mad a mistake. If you take notes & do assignments you should not have any problems.

The Professor try's to make this class a lot harder than it is by making quizzes and exams hard to understand. The tests and quizzes are weighted to much for a Speech class. Lots of Pop Quizzes, Tests, and Exams. But overall a Good Professor.

Awesome class. Awesome teacher! 4 quizzes 2 tests last test we got to use our notes on. Lots of extra credit offerd. Speech assignments are fun. Professor wants you to be yourself. I am honestly grateful for the things I have learned. Prob only class I will actually use.

While Mrs. Salamon has certainly earned her chili pepper she definitely made my A ranked teachers here at SSC she is an exceptional teacher. Take notes and attend class and you will do just fine book not really needed. She has the ability to make a very scary, intimidating situation easy with her upbeat positive personality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I loved Prof. Salamon! Her class was awesome, we got a little crazy sometimes but it was always fun. We did a lot of class activities and got to know eachother well making it that much more entertaining. She was very sweet but got the information across well. She did some interesting speeches and even a panel interview. Would take her again

I LOVED Professor Salamon! I took speech class ten years ago and dropped it twice because I wasn't comfortable in the public speaking atmosphere. She made me realize how it can benefit me and how to organize my thoughts to make a successful speech. I actually like speaking in front of a group now! She is awesome! Quizzes are a little tough.

She was a nice teacher and knew her subject. Quizzes were quite easy since most of the material is basic knowledge. There are a lot of group projects that are easy. She seemed a lil snappy but she was prego at the time. As she says, "you have to try to fail to get an F"

If you don't miss a single class she offers 10 extra credit points to your final grade! You have to do 5 speeches throughout the course, she grades them fairly but overall great class and professor!

Awesome teacher. By far my best class here at SSC. 5 presentations, 4 quizzes. All I can say is I looked forward to every class. Prof. Salamon obviously loves what she does-would take any class she teaches!

Nicky is fantastic teacher! You can tell she truly loves to teach and her energy and charisma are contagious! Only 4 quizzes and 5 assignments although the 4 assignment is a group based debate which was dreadful because it requires collaboration outside of class, which just doesn't fit into all our schedules. Shes down to earth and super chillhot

I respect her. She has two master's degrees and you can tell. The class is EASY y'all. All you have to do is take a shot, give it a whirl, put SOME energy and time into your speeches. Best teacher you can have for Speech!! I was horrified to take this class because English is not my first language and I have a strong accent, and I was always intimidated by talking in public. She thought me how to compensate my fears with cool technics. I can say she is one of those teachers you never forget!!!! TAKE HER!!!

Took Nikki for Acting 1. AMAZING. She is able to create an environment that is pressure free when working and yet you WANT to work harder than any other class! No tests or quizzes. Monologue, 2 scenes, musical theatre song, and final showcase. - she knows her stuff and will get you where you want to be. Cant wait for Acting 2.

Niki is awesome! I took her for intro to communication and got a high A with little effort. Tests are super easy if you just listen in class and she's super funny. Offers a lot of extra credit which is really helpful if you aren't a fan of public speaking (so it'll bump your grade). Absolutely recommend Professor Salamon. Take her!!!!!

Nikki is energetic and knows what she's teaching. She doesn't just sit the students down and lecture but has people coming up, doing examples and practicing their public speaking. If you actually want to get better at speaking publicly, take her and this class will help you. I'm a shy person but I enjoyed the class and learned how to speak better

This class was the best experience at SSC so far! I have come out of this class a more confident and expressive person than I ever thought I could be. What Niki does is create a unity within the class-which helps you feel so comfortable-she's magic! Take her!!!!!!!!

I wish I could take this class twice! I had Nicki my first semester of college and now that I am getting into other courses, I constantly find myself comparing her to all of my other profs, and none of them compare! She is a cool, engaging prof that also understands that we have other things going on as students and doesn't kill us with work.

I missed my day to present a speech and was shocked when she let me do it another day! This was a fairly simple class if you study the chapters she gives you, you will pass the test. Make sure you attend her extra credit, trust me it helped A LOT! She always demonstrates what she expects from us as students and a public speaker!

Nikki is honestly the best professor I have ever had. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand exactly what is expected of you. I was honestly scared to death to take this class and not only did I learn how to have more confidence I made friends forever in this class! honestly, the greatest experience.

Niki is the funniest professor ever. Super down to earth. For those nervous about presenting, she does anxiety reducing exercises and calms everyone. Uses the textbook sometimes, but the quizzes are super easy. Definitely take her class, you wont regret it.

I never used to feel comfortable with public speaking, but prof Salamon changed that. Her's was by far my favorite class, and I wish I could retake it. As long as you do what is being asked of you, then you'll get a good grade, and even then, there are a ton of extra credit opportunities.

Just took her Theatre class. She is amazing. HIGHLY recommend taking her class in what ever subject it is. She cares about her students.

I took theatre appreciation online due to COVID in 6 weeks, not really much of the theatre person but this class was pretty okay. She made it east to take - two assignments a week with one paper, midterm, and final overall. Everything was straightforward and easy to accomplish. The final project is time consuming and awful, but not hard.

I took Nikki for Acting 1 and 2. She is one of those professors you will never forget. There aren't enough words to tell you all that I have gained from her-most importantly how to follow my instincts and a sense of self confidence I never thought I could have. Take her and you will be changed for the better.

Professor Salamon is wonderful! I took her online theater class for the 2020 summer term and really enjoyed it. She is very helpful when giving feedback and grades on time. Homework was manageable online and you could work ahead if desired. The chapter readings were long (usually 25-50 pages) but that wasnt the professors fault. Take her class!

This class was super easy and the professor was very nice. If you have other major or tough classes this one is really good to take. Grades are based mostly on discussions and quizzes. She has two prompts which are fairly easy and a midterm and final that were not bad. I would take her again!

Best teacher I have ever had. Public speaking is scary but she has proved that anyone can do it, extremely supportive. You are never alone or afraid in her class, quizzes are really easy to boot. My English class complimented me on my new speech skills. All good marks, I will never forget how she has helped me.

Her online theater class was great, around 3 big assignments but other than that mostly easy stuff like discussions or small quizzes. The only thing that I didn't like is that she takes forever to return grades, but other than that the class was great!

It will take her a sec to grade your stuff but she is a woman of many hats! Having taken a few classes with her, she is a busy person and grade when she is able. That being said, ask for help. No, seriously. If you're struggling, ask for help! She's so understanding and helpful, no matter how small the concern. I loved taking her classes!

Everything was clear from the beginning on what you're graded on. The work's not difficult if you do your reading every week. You're required to go to one live show, but she can also facilitate and offer an alternative if you can't make it. One thing I will say though is she's hard to reach sometimes and may take a while to get back to you.

She was a wonderful teacher. Everything was literally /so/ easy. Discussion posts did not even have word count requirements. Had to go in person to a play for a review project which was scary but it was a funny play and not too bad to do. I would 100% recommend this class and her as a professor!

I have taken Niki's acting one and two classes, both which I absolutely loved! She makes the class a safe space and really dives into the aspects of what makes an actor and actor. I am so happy to have taken her class, and I'm sure you will be too!
