She is a great professor, she's funny and cool. You must do all of your assignments on time and show up for class on time.There is a good amount of group work and homework but she does her best to make each assignment as fun as possible,and her class can actually be enjoyable.

This class is a must take. Nicole is very interesting and the class is fun. The down side is there are too many projects to do; most are really fun and informative though. I'm getting that end of the semester burn out. Take this class if you want to learn something about the world you live in and the people around you. YOU NEED THE BOOK.

Weekly forums...but the discussions are great.... There are a few papers due... most of the work in this class are forum responses...which unlike any other class aren't tedious and boring..they are actually interesting.

Disorganized. It took a while to get our assignments back, but over all the class was great. If you show up, she takes points of for every absence but gives an opportunity to make those points up, and do the heavy but not hard workload it is an easy A, considering the final was easy enough for a second grader to do. I am so thankful to my friend who recommended me Mrs. Vadino, because she is more than just a teacher she is a great helper and will never let you fail if you try! BEWARE...This teacher gives a lot of work!! Be prepared to type papers every week. This is one of the worst online classes that I have ever taken. However, if you do what is asked then you should receive an "A". Mandatory group forum post, 1-2 papers due a week, and a group project which I hated.

Professor Vadino is a very good instructor but I hate the fact that she made us do group projects. Not that I don't like people, but I don't like for my grades to depend on others, plus they are really difficult when you're taking courses online. Other than that I took several of her classes and liked each one - did very well and learned plenty.

I was surprised to read that a lot of people didn't like professor Vadino. I have taken several online classes with her and I got a A in every class. Even though she does give a lot of writing assignments the work is really easy. The only thing that I do not like about her class is the fact that she gives groups assignments.

Nicole is very passionate about teaching. She is helpful, makes herself available to her students, and very fair about her grading. Her expectations are class participation and assignment completions, and she also gives one a chance to make correction Beware this is an intensive writing course so be prepared to do a lot of reading and writing.

I took SOC 101 as a summer course (7 weeks). Nicole is a great teacher but will not allow you to have a life outside of class. She gave paper assignments due twice a week, plus discussions and a group project. Although the workload was tough to complete, I learned a lot. It's better to take her class during a 15 week semester.

She is an exceptional professor. She gives extensive feedback with specific comments and related resources. She gives a lot of homework but she allows students to retake quizzes so if you put the effort in then you will do well! She is very knowledgable about the subject, I learned so much from her 5 week class. I would absolutely take her again.

This class was very educational for me. The text was Amazing, i think my favorite part. Will be keeping that book on my shelf forever. She does require a lot of work, mandatory discussion, 5 readings a week + Quest., weekly quizzes on the readings, 5 papers. But it will be worth it. You will learn so much! She is pretty clear, do the work and pass!

Although she assigns a LOT of work it's worthwhile and very related to the course. As long as you have the book the papers are easy, and she explains what she wants very well. Don't take this teacher if you are hoping to skim through the book and be able to keep up with the discussions because she does expect consistent participation.

I think this class was fairly easy. At times there is a lot of work due, but she gives you enough time in advance to get your work done just can't wait until last minute. She doesn't grade hard at all and gives easy extra credit. Do all your work and you will easily get an A.

This professor is easily one of the best professors I've ever had. I took this class during the Winter 2017 semester. There's work and you have to participate in the discussions but the feedback you get is detailed. If you have a chance to take a class with this professor, DO IT! With all the extra credit, I ended up with a 103.01%. Loved it!

Speed reading would be a very good skill to have for this online class because there is a lot of reading and interpreting what you're reading into answers for essay/discussion questions, multiple choice quizzes, mini papers, and online discussion boards. Full time work is difficult to juggle with this class. Needs lots of homework time!!!!!!!

This class was very informative. You will learn alot from this course. It's an easy A as far as content goes. She values your opinion more and wants to know you understand the material and she wants to see interaction in discussions. She isn't a tough grader however, expect to not take on so many courses with this class. Hard to juggle with.

By far the BEST professor I have ever had! Some complain about the work that goes into the course, but if you put the time in and pace yourself with time management. You will have no problem in Amy course you take with Nicole. I have taken several of her courses and she is an absolute gem, so nice, helpful and understanding. Believes in you.

The discussion are ALWAYS very interesting and knowledgeable. Very easy to pass this class and have a clear understanding of the material being covered throughout the semester.

I took this class for the 4 week winter session. This class was ALOT of work . Lots of papers, readings and discussion questions You have to post 3 times total for each discussion question and you have to post on 3 different days Quizzes for every chapter midterm is essay form . Very easier grader if you just follow instructions . Good feedback

I took Nicole for soc online as an elective and she was great!!!! It was a lot of work to keep up with but the subject matter was interesting so it made the assignments a breeze. She is fair as long as you participate and follow her instructions and gives great feedback on all assignment, would definitely take her again!

You have to work in this class, but she is a great professor. Gives great commentary and feedback regarding assignments, and I enjoyed her teaching style. She has a three day post minimum and I now use that rule for all discussion board forums in all classes out of habit. Do the work and put in the effort and time, and you should be fine.

Professor Vadino is a great professor and i think she makes us works so hard because she want us to learn a lot and also we are college students that should be able to do all the work she gives. If you don't like to do a lot of work don't take this class. She gives essays every week and they be at least 3 to 7 pages some are 5 to 7 and other work.

I took Soc101 Online for the 10 week course. It is a lot of work so make sure you have enough time every week to do it. Every week there is a discussion that you need to respond in 3 DIFFERENT days a week, a chapter to read with a 25 multiple choice question quiz, and a 3-5 page paper. She is an EASY grader if you do the work. Gives great feedback.

You must post in your discussion over the course of 3 days or it doesnt count. but Dr. Vadino gives good feedback and works with you. She is a solid teacher and knows her stuff. I learned alot in her course though I disagree with the discussion issue!

I had her for sociology criminology 215 and she was amazing. She was always accessible whenever you had questions. She does provide a lot of work but she's always available. She also gives great feedback on every assignment, whether it's what you did right, wrong, or even if you've exceeded her expectations. Her assignments are creative as well.

Absolutely LOVE HER! I took her for sociology 101 and for another sociology class both online and she was amazing! Assignments are very unique where you have to watch shows and write about them based on given guidelines and also conduct field studies where you go out and ask people questions. Very easy to get an A or B in her class

There are a good amount of essays, but they are not that hard if you start them early. The class itself is fun because we talk a lot about society and our own families.

She gives out a lot of extra credit points that will help you in the end. I took her class for Summer 1 and it was a lot of reading and papers to do; expect to do 2 papers a week.

I took the 7 week soc. 101 course with her. She is AMAZING. She responds to emails within minutes, gives out extra credit for added participation in discussions and is a pretty easy grader. There are A LOT of papers and quizzes, but they're very easy and again, she is a really lenient grader; as long as you dedicate time in this class, easy A 100%

A lot of papers/assignments (observation summary, surveys) for each week, writing-intense and attention/time needed,she is an easy grader generally if you follow her detailed requirements, gave extra credit here and there. Overall, interesting topics, but glad that I dont need to take her class again

Professor Vadino is amazing, her class is very interesting and interactive. She is not a tough grader and I like the fact that we get extra credit assignments. Please make use of those opportunities. Be prepared to read and write. I am not that great at writing papers but I did well enough to leave with an A. If I did you can too.

I went in thinking this class was going to be hard but it wasnt, the work is expected because it is a intensive writing course, but professor vadino made it so much easier!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

This was had a lot of writing, but the deadlines to submit them were reasonable. She does give back good feedback on your work, and she grades it in a reasonable time. She was a lovely person and a great professor overall; I would retake her class if I could.

Hadn't 5weeks class, it was a lot of discussion and writing, but it's a fair amount of assignments as it's a such short period class. She gives many extra credits and fair grader, she definitely would like to answer your questions.

Prof Vadino is amazing. Period. She is always there to help and give a ton of opportunity for extra credit. I love that she sends personalized messages for assignments with her feedback. There is a lot of work but when you actually read the assignments, they will take like 20 minutes to complete. Don't let the bad reviews fool you. It's manageable!

Professor Vadino is an AMAZING professor. She really cares about her students and gives you more than enough opportunities to bring your grade up. She's very sturn but also understanding. She also gives great feedback when grading so definitely look out for that! and the written assignments are not as hard as they may look so don't stress yourself!

By far my favorite class and teacher. I went into SOC 101 thinking I was going to struggle because I knew nothing about it. However, this class was quite easy and gets your brain going. Not only is it a relatively easy class if you do the work, but it's interesting too. If she has seats available, I'd definitely recommend taking her class!

I took SOC101 as my first college class during Summer 1 for 7 weeks. I had to respond to a discussion, take 2 short quizzes, and turn in a short paper by the end of every week. No final and as someone who has been out of school for 3 years, the course was easy to understand and I'd really recommend Professor Vadino for SOC101.

Professor Vadino is a good Sociology professor. Direct with what is and isn't tolerated in her course, which she states in her syllabus and reiterated throughout the semester. She's fair and gives honest feedback. In case you don't do well on an assignment, she'll let you resubmit for maximum points. Overall, a good professor.

Lots of group/partner work. I'm an introvert and still got an A+ in her class. It's not hard work. If you passed middle school you should be fine. She's strict but really chill, so just talk to her if u need help. Attendance is MANDATORY, you'd probably fail if you come super late or dont show up.
