Nikki's the coolest teacher ever!!!!! Her class is hard, don't get me wrong, and she doesn't hand out grades, but if you don't do well, it's your own fault. There's plenty of chances to revise and fix your stuff. But do your homework!!

She's hysterical! Makes learning and coming to class more enjoyable. Really like this teacher....

Nikki used alot of good examples to try to get her point across and we had some really fun projects. She doesn't put up with laziness, but if you're dedicated to learning she'll be dedicated to teaching you.

This is the first teacher ive had that seems to care if i pass or not and i really love her class.

She knows her subject very well. She gets to know you and she has a lot of energy. Every morning when i got there half asleep she would be so energetic that would even make me feel better ha. She's also very funny and helpful through emails and personally. 6/5

Attend class! If you attend all of the classes, you don't have to take the final! Super easy, lets you revise your papers until you get an A. LOVED HER!

Okay the class set up is easy. I'm taking it online. Summary and Responses are due almost weekly. The class is well organized and yeah you do get to revise your papers but that means tough grading. With the revisions you must do a journal with it reflecting the errors. I think this class has too much busy work.

I had Nikki for an online English course. There are lots of points to be earned and she is very helpful. She even lets you revise papers and resubmit them for a better grade! You get the grade you work for in this class! great teacher

Greatest Teacher Ever!!

Took her this summer in English 110 and she is really cool. I really enjoy the fact that she let's you revise your Major Paper's throughout the semester that help out a lot. No test's which is another plus. Impossible to fail unless you just don't do the work. Make sure you get the book because you will need it!

Took the class online this summer. Revised as was suggested and got an A. Easy to communicate with and easy to work with. Website needs some work.

I have been out of shool for a few years and started back up taking this class online. I enjoyed the class and I liked that I could revise my papers through out the semester. A wonderful teacher!

Took this class online and it was fairly easy. She makes it clear what she whats your papers to be like and is quick to respond to emails. You do have to keep up on the work, but you can revise your papers throughout the semester.

I took her for an online class, and I thought she was great! I absolutely love her constant revision process...you actually LEARN from your mistakes, and you can continue to improve your papers until you achieve the grade you want! She expects you to put in the work, but as long as you do, you will get the grade you deserve.

Dr. Aitken was a very good teacher. She does expect a lot of work, but as longs as you do it she is a fair grader and allows an unlimited amount of revisions on papers.

Of all my classes i look forward to coming in to her class....she does not take any crap, and be sure she can dish it out. do your homework and write your papers....if you fail her courses your a friking caveman. nikki breaks everything to the littlest letter. she will help you figure any thing out. best teacher i have ever had.

Took this online. Fantastic teacher! Clearly explains her expectations. If you can follow simple instructions and turn in assignments on time, you will not have any problem getting an A in this class.

For an online class, you will never find a a more supportive instructor or one who is around to answer your questions. Dr. A is always online to help and she allows you to revise your homework and papers to make your grade better. Easy A - just be willing to ask questions

She is amazing, and very helpful! If you ever have any questions she is always there to answer, and she gets back to your e-mails asap! She is very sarcastic, so if you don't have a sense of humor you might not get along with her. Otherwise she's AWESOME

She has a different personalitly. If you do not have any sense of humor then you are not going to like her at all!! She does give a lot of work in class but nothing that you can not handle!! I LOVE HER

Had an adviser tell me to think about dropping before I started because she is tough. Take her, she well prepare you for the rest of your college career with homework that actually builds your knowledge and know-how to become successful. I was never bored in her class, but I will say if you are taking more than 4 classes it could be cumbersome!

Definitely a tough teacher - we did a lot of work all semester. But all assignments allowed a chance for improvement and instructor was really quick with feedback - especially quick emails for online students. Everything is boiled down and to the point - not a lot of chitchat, but very quick responses.

Very hard. No doubt about it. I had moments of sheer panic over the summer course. However she was almost always online and answered questions very quickly. Never had that before. Submit stuff early so you know what your grade will be - otherwise prepare for panic.

She's definately tuff but fun. Had a great semester and she worked with me as much as i needed help at all the time.

Always online and offering help. Grades tough but if you work ahead like she suggests you'll be fine. Very dry sense of humor that doesn't always work in an online class. Meet her in person and you'll understand.

Dr. Aitken is a great instructor! Really enjoyed her class even though it is an online course (which I'm not a big fan of). She's extremely helpful and will put in time to help you if she feels that you are also putting in the time.

Dr. Aitken is a wonderful teacher. She's very direct and has high expectations, as she should. She's a fair grader and always gives helpful feedback. She is the best English teacher I've ever had. You'll be given lots of homework. Don't procrastinate. The best advice I can give for succeeding at her class is JUST WRITE.

I heard this was bad. All wrong. She explained things well and comments were clear. Responded FAST to everything. Willing to work with you if you work with her. Not an easy A, but treats students like adults and professionals.

She was very upbeat and explained everything very well. The assignments are very easy but the major papers are heavily weighted so make sure to do very well on those. She is very helpful.

Online all the time and takes time in evenings and on weekends to help. Crazy hard, but I learned a lot.

Dr. Aitken was an excellent professor with an enjoyably twisted sense of humor! However, be prepared to work hard on the assignments and double check the formatting of your papers. She allows one revision on major papers and any assignment can be submitted early for a preliminary grade and feedback. Work hard, pay attention, and you will excel!

Sometimes you have to ask if you don't understand something. She can be intimidating, but is really fun too. Loved her class, would take it again in a heartbeat, but you should expect to have to work. She pushes you hard if she thinks you aren't really trying, and wants you to improve. Be proactive and she helps you get an A.

Class was hard. I never did an online course before. Lots of work and lots of papers. She tells you to turn in work early and fix it to help help your grade and I started to do that and I did really well in the class. English 111 was so much easier than English 110 after this class.

I love Dr. Aitken! she lays it all out for you day one. Just make sure you participate and do the homework. Shes fair at grading, and only wishes to help you become a better writer and student.

Could be intimidating. Very direct and sarcastic. Grades fair and assignments are all available early to get ahead. She is ALWAYS ONLINE and responds immediately to any questions. Lets you fix your work to improve your grade. If you talk to her and are willing to fix your work you'll get an easy A.

AWESOME!!!! This woman must live online. She was always answering questions even though she said that she was only online at certain times. She helped me with everything and since I could fix my work I got an A on everything. I would take her again no problem.

She gives you as many chances as you want to fix your assignments before they are due. There's no way not to earn an A if you want to work for it. Not only was she alwasys online and helping she even made videos to help when I got stuck. Dr. A is one of the best teachers I have ever had.

i hate writing but i love this class. dr. atken is crazy in a good way and keeps the class interesting. its a lot of work but she makes it so i understand what im doing. i wish my high school classes had been this awesome!

She really does want you to be good. This was my first online class and I was in WAAAAAY over my head. I screwed up alot. I didnt ask for help and I messed up. She mad me videos and me with me during th e last wkees to help me finish the class. I should have asked for help sooner.

I should have failed. I didn't plan things out and I shouldn't have been in an online class. Dr. A still met with me and got me through this semester in the last few weeks over and over again so that I got through it and learned what I needed to know. She could have let me crash and burn but she didn't. She is amazing and I owe her everything.

This is my second class with Dr. Aitken and I wouldn't take anyone else. I feel like I've learned so much in her classes. Yeah, she's tough. She expects everyone to follow all the directions. But she also gives us revisions on all major projects and allows students to reivse all homework before it's due if they turn it in early.

Dr. Aitken has very clear expectations on all assignments and provides all the work for the unit on the first day so you can work ahead. Gives you the chance to fix assignments to improve your grade. Always online. I'm already planning to take 111 with her!

I really enjoyed this course. All of the requirements for the projects were listed very clearly and she was very claer on how things should be written. We also did some intersting topics. Any time I had a question she was on IM or email so I think it was really easy to get my questions answered and get help. I'd take another class with her.

Great teacher. Always available for help. Very clear on what is to be done in class. Gives you chance to fix your grade on papers as long as you turn in 24hrs before paper is due. Sets you up not to fail the class.

I loved Dr. Aitken's course. She is very good about giving feedback and wants you to succeed. I took the course online and quizzes are not timed and open book. She gives you a chance to redo papers if it before the due date and gives comments on what should be corrected. The course was tough at times but I definitely recommend her.

I hate english but this is an amazing class. I love the people I'm working with and I never know what to expect. Nikki is funny and sarcastic and everything we do except for some of the assignments is pretty normal for a college class. I would take another class with her again!!!

I loved this class with her! I am hoping to be able to have her for English 111 as well. It can be difficult at times to achieve what she wants in her papers, but she clearly outlines every last detail of what exactly she wants, which is a HUGE help. Loved having her as my professor, I would definitely take another class with her.

She lives online and was always helping me with my work. Everything can be changed to get good grades before its due and all major papers can be revised after they're due. Its a hard class because its college but her instructions are clear and in checklist form. This is the best class I've taken because I learned so much. Amazing woman.

Dr Aitken by far the best English teacher I have ever had in my schooling career. She outlines all of her expectations and if you follow those you are bound to succeed in her class. She gives you many opportunities to ask her for help and always respond to emails in a timely manner. I look forward to being in her ENGL 111 class next semester.

Ask for help when you need it - otherwise you won't have a great semester. I found that out here in week 14 and that was my mistake. Luckily for me, I still have time to fix everything and turn my grade around to earn a much higher grade in the class. She may seem distant, but when you get to know her, you realize she's there to help you.

Here's the deal - you get to fix all yout papers at the end of the semester to make yout grade better and papers are 60% of your grade. You may not like your grade during yhr semester but I went from a D to an A in the last three weeks with her help. Taking her 111 class for sure!!

Entire units are provided at one time, so you have 5-7 weeks of assignments available to you at one time, so you work at your own pace up until deadlines. You can revise and get a better grade on any assignment you submit early and all major papers have 3 revisions to improve the grade. If you can budget time and revise, you're golden.

Really tough class. Papers are very specific in requirements and if you don't pass the papers you can't pass the class. She always responds to emails and gives examples of papers she's done the right way but still makes the class very hard. Not an easy class but a good professor.

Shes blunt but always online and you get 2 chances on major papers since those are the big grades. She told me i could earn any grade I wanted and it was true but you cant slack off. Really prepared for college now.

I tried to take English 110 with 2 other teachers and they both expected too much. Professor Aitken is fair when grading and gives tons of useful feedback. You have opportunities to correct every paper until the end of the semester so theres no reason to earn a bad grade.

If you have to take an online English 110 class, take Dr. Aitken. Aitken is very responsive through email. She also has an early revision policy which can help you get higher grades on papers. Also, the whole last month of the class is spent revising old papers to get the best grade possible. I will definitely be taking her English Comp. 2 class.

The class came had a clear criteria from the start. If you stay ahead you will be good and it will give you time to revise your work and get a better grade. She is blunt in the emails which can come off as rude but you can tell she just genuinely wants everyone to do well and pass the class.

I loved Dr. Aitken she is so personable and tells great stories. She gives ample time on assignments and lets you correct your papers and resubmit. 111 is slightly more difficult in terms of writing style, but it will be more useful for writing future papers. Absolutely loved the chill class environment, it was a nice break from my chaotic schedule

At the beginning of the sem I thought the class was going to be awful, but Dr. Aitken is extremely down to earth and always very helpful and respectful towards me. The papers are challenging, but at the end of the semester you can revise for full credit and she gives exact feedback on what to fix to not only pass the class but also get a good grade

Mrs Aitken was a great teacher! She is straight forward with the work, she break things down so you understand and she is not extra with words, she give good feed back on the assignment. She will teacher you if you want to learn. Overall show up to class, do the work on time and you'll be good

I had no issues with Dr. Aitken. She has high standards, but lots of instructions and you can redo all of your work all semester to get a better grade. She's also very quick on email. I guess if you don't want to re-write your papers you won't like her, but I was happy I could fix my stuff and get an A. Probably depends on you.

I loved Dr. Aitken! She was a very sweet teacher! One of the best I've ever had! Very personable and had the best sense of humor. I chose to take her twice for both of my English classes freshmen year and passed with an A both times. her class is nitty gritty and she is a very picky grader, but if you ask her to proof read or help you she will!

She was super chill! As long as you participate, you can easily get an A. She was easy to talk to and was actually somewhat lenient on rubric as long as you put in the effort!
