It is difficult to understand him even when he makes jokes. I had to figure out the problems on my own because I couldn't understand him. However, he tests are not hard and straight forward on what he covers in class.
Translating the class terminologies with his English pronunciation makes it very hard to understand. However, he is a caring professor. He encourages students to ask questions and push students to excel to do their best in the class.
Stay away from this teacher, material unclear, instruction poor, & tests as confusing as the instructions. He is also very boring.
yes i agree that this prof is easy if you are only looking for an C. If you score something like a 40% (straight guessing), he will still give you a C. His accent is diffult to understand. boring lectures.
This class was super laid back for me as if it was the place for me to chill out. I personally thing he's a nice old dude w/ a cute sense of humor. I got a B+ for not doing anything LOL. However, if you're an econ major, it will haunt you afterward because now I'm doomed in Econometric (****!)

This professor needs to learn how to take showers and groom himself. He is really weired and talks about random stuff. Horrible class. I did not learn a thing. He is a nice guy, but he needs to retire already.
All the comments are true. Him not able to teach...80% of the students take him because they heard he is a easy teacher. Meaning anyone that takes will past...so most of the people that left comments took him becase he or she knows the class is easy...two chapters for the whole entire quarter.....

Don't bother trying to learn anything from the lectures. I honestly did not learn anything the entire quarter. I had to read on my own and look at the examples he posted on WebCt to learn. If you study on your own, and understand the formulas, you can easily get a "B" in this class.

very easy class, it is very easy to get A if you read the chapter twice or more( I only read it total 8 hours, and get a A). someone said that they learned nothing from this professor. However, I feel that you can learn a little if you are good at Math, or you can not learn anything.
You wont understand much of what he teaches in class but this man is hilaroius and really entertaining. Throughout the class I thought I was on the verge of failing cause I got a D on both midterms (there is no homework), but I walked out with a B in the class. Take him!
Take him if you want an easy A.I got a B without doing anything or going to classes.However, I got stuck with my econometrics later and avoid him if you are econ major.Basically you won't learn anything.

He is a really nice guy and funny to listen to. I would not recommend taking this class if you are an Econ major. The whole quarter we only worked on two chapters. Easy "A". Tests are very easy.
He's a good teacher. He really tries to make you learn. But, he's hard to understand at times and makes weird -off the wall- jokes. But you DO learn a few things. Material seems easy AFTER you study for a little bit. Extemely easy if you already understand basic statistics and regression.

He's a SUPER teacher if you just wanna pass the class. An easy A. He didnt do anything much in class , for a whole quarter just cover 3 chapter. You will be slept in the class during his lecture. Midtern and final are pretty easy, just follow the formula. The term project will be done in class by himself then you turn it in.

Boring class, hard to stay awake, hard to follow lectures. I suggest you take this class with Fin303 or after or before. You learn the same thing in both these classes.
DO NOT buy book, it is not necessary. Come to class only if you want attendance points. Another boring professor. TAKE THIS CLASS if you just want to get by. You can get an A but not learn anything. Econ majors AVOID!! You will learn absolutely NOTHING. I only came to class to open my laptop and watch youtube for 4 hrs straight and he likes girls.
He is one of the easiest professors what so ever. All you need to do is attend class to just sign in and leave. There is one midterm and a fianl. He grades on the curve and is very easy. Just study his notes, don't need the book, just for some extra credit homework. He barly teaches 2-3 chapters per test.

Standard class with a midterm and final. It's what you'd expect from a statistics class and the lecture is hard to understand. Take this class if stats is easy to you or study on your own to learn the material.
With new technology this professor made all is quizzes and his final online on wileyplus. His lectures aren't too helpful so study with other students. His class is pretty easy.
This is a easy professor, but you will learn nothing or few things only. Economic major's students should not take this professor because the professor just teach two or three chapters in whole quater. Please take this class quickly, if you are non economic major's students and do not care what do you learn in economic.
Econ 309 and Econ 303, Two required courses for Business Administration students. Hard to understand, but the class is very easy. He lets us work on the homework during class. Just show up everyday and do the work that is assigned. Register for the class fast, because it does get full rather quckly.
Easy class, time used to go fast if computer w/ u, becuz u can go online to do the assigned hw, he gives long period of time to finish hw. Whole quarter just only lecture 1 chapter, mid term is easy, 6 questions base on ur hw,is online, open books & notes, multiple choice. Easy class, hard subject, but he only lectured one chapter the entire quarter. Do the HW in class which he gives you 1 week to do it.Work with other students.Final was easier to me than midterm. Take him to get the Econ 303 and 309 over with if Econ is not your major

This is the easiest/coolest professor you could possibly take at CSULA. Class attendance is not exactly mandatory but its good that you go so you know everything that's due (he does take roll though)... homework and tests were easy (open book). I'd recommend him anytime and would take him for any other classes he teaches in
Class is EXTREMELY easy but you'll learn absolutely nothing. Don't buy used book because you need the online version, which u can purchase by itself. The homework and exams are open book/note, so take good notes (even save some of your excel sheets u use for hw to use on exam). He is confusing at times but he will work with u until u understand.
Easy professor, no text book required, just only need the E-BOOK for grade, and chapters. Let u make up hw later if u miss the 1st one (multiple choice on ebook), easy. Don't buy TX-36 something calculator, useless, and don't even need it at all. Class attendance required for point. Easy overall. If u econ major, don't take him.

This teacher is really hard to understand, his lecture is suck, he accent is really bad. His tried to be funny, but in reality he is not funny at all. Not sure I learned a lot about econ, but prof. P is really nice and chill. Doesn't make the class too hard because he knows we've all got enough on our plates as is. Lets class out early, so go for fun and you'll learn some interesting real-world stuff from him (even though it's not necessary from the textbook).
He is a nice and easy teacher. The stuff he teaches are easy if you read the online text (required) by yourself because his lectures are boring and aren't clear enough, but if you ask him questions he would explain them until you get it. No midterms just a bunch of easy online quizes, 1 paper, and a final.

He is a well travelled man and you will know that immediately as he will speak to you in all kinds of languages. He is very much into his own world and laughs at his own jokes. All that aside he is an awesome individual and you will get a good grade.
Definitely a must take. The material is taxing but Dr. P makes it palatable, and the class engaging. I learned how to apply Stats to forecast outcomes in the real world. I look forward to your future courses professor. (LF, A current Manager)

Dr. Pulchritudoff is arguably one the most brilliant professors in CSULA. The methods used in his courses make his ECON classes extremely interesting. Show up to class because he lets you work on the online quzzies during class and lets you do it over and over with help from others so you get 100% only final exam and that was open notes and flash drives!Super easy I dont understand how people fail this class... out of the 4 chapters we were suppose to cover we only got to 1!

Like everyone said, it is easy. Anyone can get a perfect score on the quizzes online because he puts up files where you can just plug in numbers to get the answers and if others finish, prof. will make them help you. On the final, I knew I had only half of the test right but I still ended up with an A.

Cares a lot for his students. Provides you with tools to succeed in class. Test can be hard. Provides notes to study. He is more about teaching you concepts than memorizing terms. He is funny and talks a lot. Responsive to e-mails and questions. I recommend him.
His class is pretty chill. If you do what he asks and attend every class meeting, you should be set for a pretty good grade. He's very picky with attendance (lose pts if late, takes roll call,etc.) The only con for this class is the fact that we have to purchase a wileyplus code for about $90 (+ or - $10), but it is an essential for the class.
VERY EASY A!! only went over one chapter. the Wiley plus code is a MUST! Final exam only took me 20 minute to finish. A lot of online quizzes that are online. gives one week to finish, unlimited attempt. MUST attend class for points!! there was a 11 page papers too that sucked and was useless. only worth 1 quiz grade.
Class is easy but he tends to cover very limited subject with extensive explanation. Exams are online and should be an easy A if you read and study his notes.

If you don't want to learn take this class with this professor. All you do in class is cheat. The book hard copy is 160 the online version is 90. The book must be new because quizzes are online. This professor doesn't make sense I can't believe he is teaching.

He's a nice guy and his class was not bad. Quizzes (45% of grade) are online. If you have the book, they are very simple. His final (45%) took me about half an hour to complete. Attendance (10-12%) is mandatory and part of the grade. You CANNOT leave early, since he takes roll in the beginning and end of class. Overall decent class. (:
PROS: Online quizes, frequent updates on lectures on moodle, open notes during the final. CONS: attendance is imperative but aside from that, He's extremely easy and by the end of the quarter he is gonna know your name. TIPS: laugh at his jokes even if its not funny.
EASIEST TEACHER I HAD THUS FAR AT CSULA!! OMG! required to buy online wiley code for the quizzes $90. Very good at Updating us in announcements. only goes over ch12 subsections. Easy. He gives hints in excel doc he sends you. JUST PLUG IN THE NUMBERS ON EXCEL FOR THE QUIZ ANSWERS! paper is worth one quiz 4% of ur grade not worth it cus its 10 pgs.
PRO: super easy A, cover 3 chapters only, plus 1 project (a book review). CON: complicated the problems (better read the book yourself), very talkative, do not really learn anything. SUGGESTION: take him if you want a good grade; take another professor if you want to learn something

The professor helps a lot if you have any questions and problems with the quizzes. I didn't learn very much - unfortunatly. However, I got an A and maybe I learned one hour for me final. If you want an A then take him! If you want to learn something then take another professor or course!
I want to thank this professor for letting me add this class. Don't sweat this class. Probably the reason you are taking this class is because you heard about this teacher. Yes, it is true & this class is easy. Online quizzes, just google. But do go to class at least, he take roll. And DO the paper at least to make up for the easiness of the class.

This is the 6th week of class and we literally just finished chapter 1, which is only 10 pages! I still have no clue what the class is about or what I'm supposed to be learning!?! He spends more time talking about his past and conversing with other students in his native language than teaching us anything of relevance. AVOID! DO NOT TAKE!
Take this class if you want an A with barely to no effort. However, you have online exams (google is your friend) and one 5 page paper which is the easiest paper you'll do. Easy class. Just got to put up with him. Takes attendance, so just go to class for the points.
This is an easy A. Quizzes are take home if you can't figure that out by using his powerpoints and internet then wow. Midterm is also take home final is too. And there is in class final but he lets you know exactly what will be on it easy A! You have a paper to do but plenty of time to get it done in 2 days!

25 easy HWs + 11 page paper worth 1 HW. Final is 45% of your grade. Its computerized, no usb, no internet. Seating is ABC order. The whole quarter he is chill, talks to himself, low voice, no one listens. Final, is tough, he is strict, rubbed a few students the wrong way too. Gives half the formulas but if you havent learned how to apply youll fail

This was the Easiest class i have ever taken. No midterm homeworks are easy. He encourages your to quote large paragraphs in the 11 page paper, it took me less than a day to finish it. I was the 2nd person to finish the final and it took me 25 min. The hardest part of the class is to show up and sit through the lecture because attendance is graded.
EASY A. the class is basically based on online quizzes. you take about 10 quizzes, which are open book since you are home to do them. *** WARNING**** have patiences, LOT'S of patience.. he is a really nice professor and extremely helpful. He just takes FOREVER, to take attendance, & anything else. lol but don't worry! easiest A. worth it.

This class is great for someone who can learn on their own. He does NOT lecture literally not once. Everything u learn is from another class mate or self taught. Its all wiley plus work but you can work with a partner the whole semester to do the homework. I am awful at math and pulled off an A. Have patience and use his excel sheets they help!!
It's really easy, professor gives answer of sample questions for each assignments. You must read the book and remember the formulas for different types of questions. Professor did provided a lot of help, and he tried his best to help everyone in the class. Highly Recommend.
The easiest professor I have ever taken! I got an A in his class and didn't have to do much. He takes attendance, so show up. He uses WileyPlus to assign quizzes. 2 midterms and 1 final. Both VERY easy. Open notes, open computer, not open neighbor. He provides excel spreadsheets w/formulas that you can use during the exams. Take him!
In the beginning, I thought the class was going to be hard, but it was such an easy class honestly he's willing to help you or your classmates can help you as well he doesn't mind as long as you're getting maintained and completing the assignments on time. Honestly, the only way to fail is if you didn't try.
Professor Pulchritudoff, straight to the point professor. You don't need book for this class it is mostly in the wiley plus. He give many quizzes in wiley plus but he will give you example how to the answer using excel. It is an easy class ever!
