Nikona is cool. The class is easy, if you do your vocab. I would suggest taking this class. Not stressful gauranteed A or B, and very little work. Try to get 20 out of 20 on all your vocab quizes so you can slack on you regular test and you will do great with little to no effort.

Great teacher! Fun and interesting class. One research paper, but just plan ahead and you will do fine. The rest of your grade is based on multiple choice exams and vocab quizzes. She is very clear about what she expect you to know for the tests and quizzes so they are easy to study for.

I really like Nikona. Shes always making class fun with activities. The term paper can be challenging, to take something that you interested in. The vocab quizzes arent too hard either. All in all a fun instructor.

She is wonderful. You know exactly what kinds of questions will be on the test. The vocab quizes, are 20 words given to you in advance, and it's matching. In 1A you write one paper, in 4 no papers, and in 30 it is a group paper. I reccommend these classes to everyone.

Awesome instructor. Straight forward class. There are multiple choice vocabulary quizzes often, but she gives you ALL the words that will be on the quiz ahead of time to study. Also, she gives you practice tests to prepare you for the actual tests, and she goes over all the answers to the practice test before the real test.

If you pay attention in class you should do fine. you some writing but it is all intersting and she gives you plenty of time to prepare for them. study your vocab. it really helps, and you should do fine. i got two A's in her classes.

I noticed a comment made about if you talk alot in class, blah, blah, blah, you will get a good grade. SORRY I don't agree because I rarely spoke in class, but I was attentive. She's a very nice person and you can tell she loves to teach. lots of extra credit...also a lot of vocab quizes and tests. she doesn't have you take notes so tests are pretty much just based on reading. I don't know if I learned that much though because she mostly just puts you into groups for little class activities. she has you write one paper

GREAT teacher! Very organized. Vocab tests do not have exact same definitions as the text, but I still got an A on all of them. Opportunities for extra credit. She loves her work and it shows! I have mixed feelings about Nikona. She is very nice and loves to teach but her lectures and powerpoints were hard to follow and a little unclear. Luckily she didn't use it every class. You will not do well on tests if you don't read the book Vocab quizzes are easy points. In class exercises were always fun and interesting.

Really boring. sorry but it's true. all lecture and note taking. i went into the class thinking it would be more interesting, not the case however. class was about average difficulty. no required hw. just easy vocab quizes, 4 pretty tough exams, and a really hard and frivolous research paper. i'd probably take someone else if i did it again

I absolutely recommend Nikona! She's very nice, very helpful, and very clear! Pay attention, take notes, and you'll breeze through. There was a particularly long research paper towards the end of the semester. Start it when she assigns it. It's not fun doing it last minute. Take her class, you'll love her!

Easy A if Psychology comes naturally over if you study a little. One paper, one small multiple choice quiz every week on vocab, and three or four big tests, notes and/or book allowed some times.

Really knows her stuff and makes class interesting. Her tests are crazy hard sometimes though. You MUST read the book because she will ask you about the smallest details from the readings on the tests. If your passionate about psychology I would highly recommend, otherwise find somebody easier.

You can study just the vocabulary in each chapter and still pass the class, but going to class is worth it for the discussion. The material is not hard to learn but you do have to study some.

I've had many teachers, liked some and didn't like some. However, few have been as skilled at teaching their subject as Nikona. She's very clear, offers many opportunities for you to improve your grade and is so helpful. Even though it isn't the easiest class you learn a lot from her! I would surely take her again especially if I was a Psych major.

I LOVE NIKONA ! First semester at the jc and she is my favorite teacher yet ! She does a good job explaining subjects, her slides follow along with the book and the vocab quizes every week make for a ton of pretty easy points ! She also allows notes on tests which is awesome ! I have taken two courses with the instructor. The subject was presented in an easy to understand format. Each time I came away with a total understanding of the material, and an appreciation for this instructor. She goes above and beyond to make sure her students grasp the concept of the subject. Always available and never intimidating.

Nikona is one of the best psych teachers I have had so far. She gives LOTS of extra credit opportunities. Her classes are fun. It is almost impossibly to not get an A or B in the class, as long as you read the book and do the extra credit. On my last test, I received a 92% but with all of the extra credit she gives it bumped it up to 128%

Nikona was an excellent teacher. She had clear lectures, provided numerous opportunities for extra credit which were explained clearly in the first class. If you purchase the study guide and take time to do it, you'll barely have to study for her tests. Class notes were allowed on the tests (though she may change that), and she was very helpful!

I have taken 4 classes with Nikona purposefully because I love her teaching style. Her classes are not easy. They are a lot of work. She used power points and videos which are very helpful, and she is very open to questions. You will learn a lot in her classes if you try. And for her essays, get a early start, don't procrastinate.

Pretty easy class, no homework except for one research paper. Allowed to use notes on the tests and plenty of chances for extra credit. Lectures get a bit boring sometimes, but not too bad. Overall a fairly interesting class that one can definitely get an A in.

Took nikona for psych 1a this year! she is very sweet and understanding. All the tests are super easy. one take home test an in class test with 2 pages of notes per chapter and then a group test(excluding the final) She has a lot of room for extra credit. i definitely recommend her!

I took Abnormal Psych with Nikona, and it was fantastic. She had lots of cool stories to share from her work in psychology, allowed lots of notes on exams, and was incredibly helpful and generous with extra credit. There is a lot of coursework, but you have a lot of freedom in how you do it. She really cares about her class getting a good grade!

Nikona is one of those special teachers with a lot to offer. She's passionate about her subject, and totally up-to-date with modern research and emerging theories in the field of Psychology. She was sometimes scattered, but would always clarify if asked. Class discussions encouraged! Get started on that essay early! It's pretty fun, though.

At first, the teacher seemed very serious, but she was just being clear. I soon realized that she loves psychology & her students. She wants you to do well. Do the work, read the book, go to class, study for the easy vocab tests, do the semi-easy journals, go to office hours sometimes. Attendence & practice tests are extra credit, EACH UNIT!

Nikona Mulkovich was a good teacher. she was easy to understand. you need to read the chapters and study for the tests. there are vocabulary quizzes every week. there is a lot of extra credit offered. the only tough graded assignment is the term paper. but other that that with all the extra credit you can do very well in the class.

Nikona is a great instructor. I felt like the workload was heavy for a 3 unit class, but if you keep pace you'll be fine. Take advantage of the extra credit, make sure to do well on your group projects. Also, don't wear a hat in class--Nikona is old school!

The lectures were honestly pretty boring. She is a sweet lady but it was just a little dry. You can get an A easily if you work for it. I missed a lot of class and it didn't end up hurting me too much. 2 of the 4 exams were take home which was great. Overall I enjoyed this class

Nikona's class was hard and it required more money than I wish. There is a lot of reading, test, and quizzes- so be prepared, you will have to work for it. Though it was a high stress class for me, Nikona was very kind. She is understanding and if you show her that you want to try she will help. Communication is always key.

Great teacher if you want to major in Psychology. Beware, the class does have high standards for essays (She is a double major in Psychology and English) but tests and quizzes are easy if you follow the Study guides given. There are plenty of opportunities for extra credit in case its needed.

Log, boring lectures. Goes in depth if you meet with her during office hours. If you study, you will do well. although you will probably end up studying for multiple hours. Difficult paper due during semester as well so make sure you go over it with her before due date.

Nikona is truly passionate about her students and what she is teaching. Previously I have had no joy in taking psychology classes. Nikona sure changed that. This class is by no means an easy A. You must put forward effort to succeed in this class. Nikona will make it her priority to help you succeed as long as you reach out to her and participate.

Switching to a Psych major, I had to catch up and take Psych 1A, Psych 4, and Psych 5. Taking 4 & 5 with Nikona was a great idea. She clearly cares about her students and she's always been a support unit that not only cares about your grade but your well-being. Wish I could take her for 1B, she is truly a funny, young-at-heart individual. Love her!

I've taken 2 classes with Professor Mulkovich, she teaches interesting courses and she cares about her students. She wants you to succeed, and frequently reiterates that she's more than willing to work with students on her office hours and beyond.

One big research paper in both classes, but she makes all the material interesting. She cares about you in and out of class. Definitely recommend.

Which I definitely recommend when it comes to any of her term papers I took her for child and adolescence psych as well so be sure to use that! The vocab tests are an easy way to really boost your grade so don't take them for granted

She is super organized and willing to help you raise your grade. She gets back to you right away with any doubts regarding the class. She is also a good coach correcting homework, and she even helps you beyond her office hours! She definitely makes the class easy to understand. She is great!

Having Mulkovich as a Professor was very pleasant. She grades fair, homework is reading the chapters and taking a vocab quiz each week. One major research paper. The whole class is only lecturing but she is engaging. There were four Tests where you are allowed six pages of notes. Overall great class.

Nikona is easily one of the top three profs Ive yet had (currently headed to grad school). Her 30+ yrs in the field make her a trove of applied wisdom. Make sure youre able to dedicate an above-average amount of time to textbook reading & assignments. She is incredibly thorough yet very gracious and warm, and extra credit opportunities abound!

Nikona is amazing! I took her psych 1A in fall and Psych30 in spring and it was great. She comes off strict the first few classes but as the year goes on you see she is actually super chill. She lets you have notes for exams and has clear expectations for you. She is one of the few teachers that truly care about her students and their education.

She was super easy to talk to and explained things really well. Her lectures were also very easy to follow which made note taking easy. Weekly vocab quizzes which arent too hard if you study, all you do is match the word with the definition.

Nikona is clear about her expectations and very organized (not to mention quite fashionable). HINT: Read the chapter BEFORE the lecture and use flashcards for weekly vocabulary quizzes. I only wish the lectures and examples used varied a bit more from the reading material. In other words, the lectures are basically just chapter reviews.

Nikona was my favorite teacher I've ever had. She has first hand experience in what she teaches which makes her and amazing teacher. The assignments (journal entries) are fun to do if you are interested in psych5 and they really help you. She is understanding and also lets you use notes from each chapter on your exams. Easy and fun class!!

Nikona is a wonderful teacher and person. The only issue I have with this class is the assignment spacing. Discussions are due on Tuesdays. This means Monday you will be sitting down for two-three hours per lecture and another 2 hours reading the chapter. But if you work ahead, the next week is available, which is nice.

In times of the pandemic she has been able to successfully teach online with her outstanding lectures and do-able homework. The homework isn't too heavy and the material is solid. She is always available to help and is easy to communicate with too!

Professor Mulkovich is a family therapist on the side so she is really easy to talk to and will treat you like one of her client and I mean that in the best way possible. The course is laid out at the beginning of the semester and you can complete work early. This allowed me to complete work around my schedule. I wish she offered more classes!

Nikona clearly shares a huge passion for Psychology and shares it fully. Her tests perfectly reflect content on lectures and she always answered questions. Just keep up with homework and prepare for the laid out vocab quizzes. The research paper may seem scary but pick the right subject and you'll have an good time. APA format can be tricky though.

I truly loved taking PSYCH1A with Professor Mulkovich as they not only had a clear grading criteria made it impossible to fail her intro course! Amazing lectures and enough extra credit to cover a full exam and most of the assigned homework are discussion boards. No essays or research papers. I would definitely recommend taking one of her classes!

Prof. Mulkovich was pleasure to have. Will pass as long as you do all the work. Opens work early so you can complete everything on own time. Provides a link directly to the publisher to buy book & makes it super easy, if you watch the introduction video everything is laid out weeks before the class even starts so you know what to expect. Prof. gives entire class calendar at start so you can schedule everything in advance. Great to get ahead, consistent assignments, easy to ask questions. Extra credit preps you for Exams, reading 1-2 ch. per wk., discussions are easy if you make sure to answer all parts, if incorrect she will message you where in the book or further info to clarify.

This is my second class with Professor Mulkovich and I absolutely loved how organized she kept each module on CANVAS. Weekly discussion boards, lectures and connect homework that associated with one or more chapters. Enough extra credit to cover an exam or two and was always quick to respond to questions. I hope she teaches more classes at SRJC!

I liked how for every test, she had 2-3 extra credit assignments to prepare and balance out your grade. LOTS of reading! Quizzes/tests are pretty much open notes/books so that helped. Discussions posts were weekly and sometimes really long.

A lot of reading and long lectures, but she offered so much extra credit that I had over 100% for the entire class. Very intelligent and informational. Discussion posts relate to the material, and her grading was clear. I learned so much from her class and I loved the material she would teach. Would definitely take again.

Nikona provides much time for completing assignments. Grading is reasonable and she provides lots of extra credit opportunitues.

Professor Mulkovich makes this class a breeze. Her clear lectures, detailed guidance, and flexible scheduling make it easy to succeed. I found unstuck AI and the textbook helpful for studying the vocab quizzes.

I took her condensed online child psychology course. She gives a consistent workload/assignments so you know what to expect each week which I appreciate with online classes and you can go ahead. The workload was definitely manageable for a condensed course just lots of reading, lectures and notes, as long as you put in the work you should be good.

Easiest class I've ever taken.
