This guy is great. Some may say he's wasy, but if you're a non-math major, this guy is great. His lectures are well organized and he makes sure you understand the material. I've never learned and understand math this well before. Great teacher. He is a little soft spoken, but just sit in the front.

This professor makes the material easy to understand. The book is very hard to follow, but the lectures are very helpful. It is easy to see that he enjoys teaching, smiles alot, and very fair and consistent.

Nimer, is a good teacher. He was concerned whenever a student wasn't understanding any material. He doesn't have much of a curve so make sure you come prepared for his test. Do homework and take good notes. I got an A. Overall a good teacher. 361A is much easier than 361B, so try to get an A.

Good guy, easy class, but you better sit in the front. He is very VERY soft spoken, so you better sit close if you want an A. Just make sure you go to class every time. Missing one class can really send you for a loop.

He is one of my favorite teachers. He gives alot of examples and shows how to solve problems, which I really like. He is very helpful in explaining and makes sure that you have a good level of understanding. To do well in his class, you have to do your homework eventhough he doesn't collect it.

Professor Nimer is great. He is the first professor I took that actually explained the class material clearly. Nimer made Isds "a hard and boring subject" seem interesting and easy. He is so helpful and concerned w/ his students passing. I thought that i wasnt even going to pass, but he surprised w/ a passing grade at the end of the semester.

This teacher was great. Didn't use the book at all. Only referred to his printouts. As long as you study, stay on track, and understand, you will get a good grade. This teacher answers any and all your questions until you understand. Solves a lot of examples. Very nice teacher. I totally recommend this teacher for anyone. Take him.

Great teacher. All printouts, no need to buy a book. VERY SOFT SPOKEN, sit in front of class to hear. Drops lowest test grade (even if it is the final). Very helpful don't be afraid to ask questions. If you only miss one lecture you will receive full participation = 5%

Professor Alrushiedat is very soft spoken, but THE MAN CAN TEACH! He goes through each problem in great detail and is very fair. I never understood STATS, but with his help, it got a bit clear. Good luck and Study always.

I disagree with the last post. This professor is great at explaining. He puts it into words that are easy to understand. If you fail the class, do not blame him, because it is an easy class. You just have to do the homework and read about what you do not understand. Great Professor.

Finally someone who can teach stats! Very friendly, will answer your questions, and maintains that any question is valid. Go to his office hours if you don't understand something. He WILL help you!

Attendance isn't mandatory but recommended. He provides most of the notes, and uses the book more toward the end of the semester. He is helpful though, so approach him. For being a difficult class, i'm glad i had him. Just mad they didn't offer him for 361B

You must go to class to understand this stuff! He is a great teacher, and does a great job of dumbing stuff down for you...take him for A and B if you can!

Stats is a very difficult class. Make sure to study for the first test as it's the easiest. Tests are very tricky and are not similar to the hw. Make sure to attend class. He gives 2 quizzes that are worth 4 percent of your grade. The final is a killer.

WONDERFUL Teacher! He really cares about his students and makes what is a difficult subject easy to understand. Study hard for the exams, if you know your stuff you will do fine. Has random quizzes; they are pretty simple though. Don't need the book, gives handouts that you will work from.

AWESOME TEACHER! Loved him but I despise statistics. He is very friendly and approachable for help. He knows people have trouble with statistics and helps you work through it if you need help. Second best statistics teacher i've taken. Highly recommended! HIGHLY!

Excellent Teacher! Very helpful and approachable and often stops to make sure everyone understands. Just show up and he does easy to follow examples in a way that is comprehensive and challenging at the same time. I highly recommend him especially if you have to take ISDS 361B too.

He's the best! Only need the book for the tables in the back cuz he uses a packet to teach from and assigns homework. He goes over the homework and makes sure everyone understands the material. Go to class and do all the work in the packet and you'll be fine. Highly recommend him!!

VERY NICE PROFESSOR, cares about his students! He goes through all homework problems step-by-step and answers any questions you have. For those that gave him a bad review, they probably never did any of the homework. Sorry, this is college, you have to work hard to get a good grade! If you can't handle that, drop out and get a construction job.

I agree with the previous reviewer that prof Nimer goes over every single problem step-by-step, so that we understand it. He tries to pass everyone by giving attendance quizes and simple projects(2). Projects take about 10-20 min to complete. I was hovering around a C average, but ended up with a B in the class. I highly recommend this prof!!

I agree, this prof is really nice. He will not advance forward until he knows you understand the material. He really does want everyone to pass and if youd don't pass, well then it's your fault. Stats is a hard class, my advice, go to every class and sit in front so you focus entirely, the packet he gives you is your friend, use it!

Prof A is the teacher to take for 361A/B. He really cares for his students and makes learning stat fun. He is funny and will go the extra mile. We had attendance extra credit points, which he practically gave the answers to and one 2 small projects. It's really not a project though, it takes 20 min. each to complete. If you want to pass stat take A

I can go on and on about how amazing this guy is. Listen, if you're trying to get by with an easy course...it won't work. ISDS is tough, although this guy makes it easier. This is my third time taking 361B. The first guy was all about comp use, and the second was all about just pure math. Nimer has a good balance of both. Also his exam expectations were very reasonable. 361B is tough, but Nimer is the way to go with this course.

Awesome professor! He gives you a packet that serves as your textbook and goes over everything literally step by step. He also allows cheat sheets for the exams. He really simplified everything. Don't miss class and take good notes so that you can transfer them over to your cheat sheets. Stats can't get any easier than this.

I had him for isds A and B. One of THE best teachers at CSUF. The topic is hard, but he always goes the extra mile to help his students. You don't use the book, but if you don't show up, you're screwed. I am a 3.0 student, and I received "C" in 361A and a "B" in 361B.

Statistics sucks, plain and simple. But Professor Alrushiedat does an excellent job of teaching the concepts so you can understand them. He is always very willing to help if you are having a tough time grasping something. Don't miss class, pay close attention, and review the workbook thoroughly. I highly recommend this professor!

Stats is a hard class but he is a great teacher. The subject can be tough but if you study and do the hw assignments you should be fine. Make sure to put time into the class. He is very friendly and is open to students visiting during office hours. I would recommend him!!!!

Very good teacher, do not buy the book you will never use it. You will learn the concepts by paying attention to HW problems done in class. Do not miss any classes or you will fall behind especially when using Excel. Stats is tough so you need to put in th effort but Nimer guides you along the right path. Best advice: Save your Excel Worksheets!!

Awesome professor!!!! Made statistics simple and clear. You will actually learn and remember the material, he doesn't rush through lecture. Extremely nice, made this class enjoyable. I recommend him to everyone! Don't buy the book, he will sell you a packet during the first week and that is all you need to excel in the class.

Best professor ever!!! 3 exam, 2 short excel project ( easy, took me 15 min to finish it)2 or 3 random quiz at the end of the class ( easy just one Question) and he is one the nicest people ever..

He makes stats so easy! each class he reviews hw, then reviews the previous lecture...so you are always getting review which really helps. You have to absolutely buy the packet, it is so helpful. Tests are easy, no reason you shouldnt get at least a B, no required hw. If you take him, you will actually learn and understand stats in a simple way

Nimer is a great professor. He explains everything clearly so just go to class, take good notes, and practice the homework problems. Just because the homework doesn't get turned in for credit, don't neglect it! Do them over like 3 times and fully understand what you're doing so that you'll ace the test.

Take him!! 2 easy midterms, final is not comprehensive. Don't buy the book, just get the little workbook from Little Professor ($16 I think). Ask him ANYTHING and he'll be happy to help you. Some online discussions, 2 small projects and 2 quizzes that are really easy. He even lets you use a cheat sheet on the exams!

Straigh-forward class. He is a great professor and cares about his students. Class can be hard but if you use the resources available and make a study group you shall pass.

Great professor. This is basically a math class but if you struggle with math just make a study group and/or use tutoring center, office hours and you should be good. Prior taking him, i got a C when i was taking statistic in community college, now i got an A. There is no need to buy the textbook, just buy the workbook. Repeatedly do the problems and you will get an A. Exam are very similar to the practice problem. If you had practice, you will Ace it. There is a reason this professor is getting good reviews.

The material is tough, but the professor does an amazing job at making understandable, and takes the time to explain concepts. The only reason I got a C was because I only studied for the tests the night before. You only really need to buy the course workbook, not the textbook. Take him if you need this class

He is a very nice guy and incredibly helpful. The subject matter was tough and bland though so don't expect an easy A. I believe he is the best in the entire ISDS department. Tough exams but they are passable if you go over the homework and practice problems 5 times.

He is really good in delivering information. Do your homework and understand the concept and you will get an "A". I have studied last day before exam and got "B" grade. Class is really interesting and you gonna learn a lot. Professor is a really helpful and nice by nature .

defiantly worth taking his class in the summer. very organized and clear explaining the problems step by step. tests got harder but doable. you have to gain your EC through easy discussion board. hw are not graded but you have to keep on track. he reviews the hw problems on every lecture. RECOMMENDED I will defiantly take him again for 361B

There are 3 test, 3 quizzes, 6 hw, and 5 excel labs with quizzes. Homework is online so if you can get the access code for cheap then do it! I took him for summer.

He is a very good professor. Very clear and understandable lectures. He makes it clear in what he is looking for. Tests are fairly easy if you study a decent amount of time for it. Short report was not bad at all. The lab portion of the course, which is Excel, should be an easy A.

2 midterms, 1 final exam, 1 short report, 1 valuation exam based on excel easy A, and a few HW. I highly RECOMMEND taking him. He goes thru the problems step by step will help you know the problems. Never used the book only the access code for the HW online. Gives Extra Credit! really nice professor.

Dr. Alrushiedat is very nice and cares for all his students. However his lectures will put you to sleep. He gives many examples and practice quizzes on titanium. Test can be tough but manageable if you attended class. Overall class is doable; two midterms, online homework, project, and Excel practice. He won't reply to emails during finals week.

He is a very easy teacher to understand. He explains himself well, you just need to practice and actually pay attention and attend class. Exams are easy and straight forward. Uses proctorio but not for the camera option, just to record the screen and you're still able to use excel. If he taught 361B next semester I would've taken him again.

Review below: he does let you have a "cheat sheet". He is very fair with the amount of work he assigns and it was a blessing. Also, I had no problem asking him to elaborate when I'm confused because he always ask if anyone has questions. In addition, almost everyone I know, like this Professor and wanted to take him for next level. I would!

I took ISDS361B TWICE AND FAILED WITH TWO DIFFERENT PROFESSORS. THEY REALLY DIDN'T TEACH WELL. WHEN I TOOK PROFESSOR NIMER ALL I HAD TO DO IS TAKE NOTES IN HIS LECTURE (WHICH WERE SUPER CLEAR), I GOT AN EASY A. I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM, SINCE THIS CLASS IS VERY CHALLENGING IF YOU TAKE THE WRONG PROFESSOR.

Please work together. Class is synchronous but he records lectures and does not take attendance. Class will be easy if you ask for help

Overall is pretty good professor. Tests were taken through Canvas with Proctorio that was open 6-10am. 3 HWs each due before the midterms. Project is 10% of grade. Excel first 5 wks of class with an exam (5% of grade, 10 total with excel hw). Hw was 6%, Exam 1 was 25%, Exam 2 was 26% and Final was 28%.

Grade is mostly made up of three tests which aren't too difficult. Does have homework assignments and a final project, although he grades very leniently on those, and they only make up 15% of your grade. If you have a basic understanding of Excel and analytics, class is cake. Also posts recorded lectures, which is awesome.
