She is the worst. I hate this class, do not take her. She never responds to emails and thinks she is better then everyone.

she is the worse, she gave me a c for my grade and i got a's and b's on my essays. i deserved a b, i worked very hard for this class and did not get the grade i deserved. i'm taking this issue to the president!!!

Took her for Shakespeare. 10 students dropped the first day. 10 more dropped the third day. I dropped a couple weeks later. Stuck up and incompetent. I heard she got the job because her class evaluations got lost.

SOOOOOOOO BORING!!!!Her opinion is all she cares about. Shes not helpful at all and she teaches like were all in grad school.Somebody needs to give her a reality check and remind her that we havent graduated yet, some of us are just coming into college.Shes WAY to hard,dont take her!!!!

I thought she was terrible. I took her class in one of the summer sessions so it was very fast paced, which may bias my opinion. I thought she was very unhelpful. I had no idea how I was doing on any work i handed in because she never returned it, and what I did get back i got Bs on. However, I ended up with a D...and she's very hard to understand

I was in the class with the 2 ratings below mine, I agree with what they say. She changes the grading system at her whim and you are completely lost & feel completely helpless in her room. If you don't share her opinion then you are wrong. She makes everything harder than it needs to be. Avoid her at all costs, you'll regret it you don't, I promise

I HATE this woman. Don't waste your time, she is far too full of herself that she could care less what the class has to say, you're always wrong. She sucks.

She requires us to read about 2 books a week (impossible) then tests us on the readings. She gives too much work, and lectures for 3 hours straight. (Her husband is great Professor Casal). Her class will trully MURDER your grade!I am an english major and now cannot declare my major because of the grade i recieved in this class (and she knew this)!

HORRIBLE!!! I sent her many emails asking her about assignments cause she would never notify about anything. One day i walked into class and we had a middterm. The following week we had a term paper...however none i knew about because i never recieved any of her emails, and she never responded to mines. Very inatentive and bias.

Took her world drama class, one of the most horrible classes I have ever taken. She was unhelpful, and very unclear. She told us we weren't going to have a midterm or final, then decides to have one without telling us what is on it. She only wants to hear her opinion.Very rude to her students. Don't take her class!

Terrible teacher! She was a bully and made class so boring! She would ask our opinion and then tell us we are wrong and give her opinion! She needs to update her teaching technique and get with the times. This should be a class you look forward to go to! Hate this class wish I had a different teacher! Can't wait only four more classes left!

Please save your self now. This is by far the worst teacher at this school. I wouldnt even call her a teacher, more like an insult to education. She helps you with nothing and could care less about any of the problems you are having in the class.

She is a horrible professor, NEVER take her please save yourself from taking her.. She lectures the whole class and does not help you with anything.. She will go over something for 5 minutes and expect you to answer 10 detailed questions on the tests. Please never take her

She is Terrible!!!!! She is very knowledgeable, but she doesn't know how to teach. She is arrogant and is annoyed when you ask questions. I will finish the semester but will no longer ask for any help because it's pointless. Looking forward to the last day I have to show up to her class!!

Class if difficult. She isn't a huge help either.. If you have to take her for Critical Approaches, then I am so sorry for your misery.

She isn't afraid to fail you. Doesn't allow rewrites. The textbook isn't helpful either, it's all over the place. Form a study group and pray in order to pass. If given a chance, take another Professor!

Professor Gupta made me question my entire ability to write. She isn't as hard of a grader as I thought she would be, but she treats you as if you are stupid in conferences. She does not understand if you have to to miss one class even if you are there 99 % of the time. She does not treat students with dignity and respect and that is frustrating.

Ultimately it is YOUR choice if you take her or not. Here's my experience; Professor Gupta is extremely smart to the point that she should NOT be teaching undergrad. She'll talk about essays that you haven't heard of. She will belittle your work & give you annoyed looks if you ask questions. Honestly, I don't understand these good reviews, its BS.

She is very smart but assumes you already know all of the material that she is supposed to be TEACHING. She belittles you and rolls her eyes if you don't understand. She's also made me feel like an idiot when I would come to her office for help. She doesn't care about students, nor does she treat them respectfully. She also doesn't answer e-mails!

She's not the Professor you'll be friends with or the Professor who cares about you. It's ironic considering her husband is the OPPOSITE of her. These BS "good reviews" NO. Stop misleading fellow college students. You want to receive quality education? Take Katz, Gover, Balakian, Gruesser INSTEAD.

Prepare to read A LOT in this class. If you don't read you won't be able to keep up with the class. She's a tough grader too so beware of that. I would suggest that if you have this professor that you switch out IMMEDIATELY. Save your gpa by not taking her class.

I had to drop her class because the class was so horrible. She is extremely intimidating and makes you feel dumb if you don't understand something. She'd spend at least 2 hours of the 3 hour lecture just talking about nonsense. Don't take her if you don't have to.

A tough professor, wants constant participation, and make sure you read. I am personally not a fan because she is pretty rude. She won't take any doctor's notes as an excused absence. I went to her office hours to get the work I missed and to hand in my doctor's note and she told me she doesn't need it or want it.

DO NOT TAKE HER. I had 2403 (remote) and she didn't even know how to use blackboard so there was constantly an issue when it came to taking quizzes, grading our assignments, where to turn it in, and our MIDTERM. She couldn't figure out what was wrong with our midterm and did not even give us enough time. Extremely rude and not understanding! BADDDD

Professor Gupta-Casale is rude towards students and will never think your answers are good enough. I had people who had taken her before tell me she was a really tough professor but I went in with an open mind. She was worse than I could have ever thought. Her teaching style is outdated and monotone. She will not keep your attention or help you.

i hate her. literally does not make class exciting at all and just talks for an hour and 15 minutes straight. not understanding about personal issues and will just want to do things her way. short temper and very very very rude. do not recommend her and i would never ever take this class again. worst class and teacher i've ever had.

I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt before taking her class because of the reviews, but it didnt work out. She lacks understanding and seems to think her class is the only one that matters. The work isnt hard, but if you can help it, take another professor if you would like someone who actually shows that they care about their students.

Class itself is not hard, but I wouldn't take it again with her. She doesn't want to be bothered with any of your issues and DOESN'T TEACH. Not tech savvy and gets mad at us for it. Claims we didn't do an assignment but she just doesn't know how to use blackboard. Camera on or marked absent. HEAVY READING! I would rather take an 8 am than have her.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! The class itself wasnt bad but she was a terrible professor. She was SUPER RUDE! I had to miss a quiz for a funeral and she wouldnt allow me to retake it. She gave me attitude about missing the quiz as well and got mad when I tried to defend myself. She also makes her assignments super confusing and hard to understand.

She is tough, very condescending, and rude. She does not listen to anyone else's interpretations of the readings. She is disorganized, cannot stick to the syllabus, and changes assignments at the last minute. Half the semester, we hardly did anything, and then she started cramming in a bunch of really intense assignments. She is a harsh grader too.

Does not give feedback on work. Takes forever to put grades in & actually graded 2 of my assignments wrong???? Does not respond to emails either. Overall a very bad professor who does not have her priorities straight.

She is by far the worst professor I've ever had. It was clear she has little interest in helping her students succeed. Despite sending multiple emails asking for clarification or assistance on course material, I have never received a single response. First class she lecturing on being shunned by her family for pursuing English, not "real" job. DNR, especially If you are not an Eng. major. NO respect for you/efforts. She puts random grades in and can't give a straight answer for how she determined your grade. Belittles you and your work in front of the class! Kids run out crying from her class!

Her teaching methods are disappointing. She mostly just lectures without ever going into detail or explaining concepts in depth. The lectures feel superficial, and important topics are glossed over with little to no effort to engage students. This has made learning in her class extremely challenging, as we're left to figure things out on our own. I

I ended up taking her class because she was the only professor available at the time, she is so unhelpful and rude. I would not recommend this professor to anyone, as I believe it's a waste of time and energy to take her class. She does not update her students with anything and expects you to know everything. never again!! Waste of my money.

She doesn't allow students to voice their opinions and shuts down any attempts to debate with her and she has the mindset, that she is always right. Instead of fostering a collaborative environment, she often argues with students, which discourages open communication and has students running out the door!! We pay her to teach us nothing.

She is the worst professor that I have ever taken. I had to take her because she was the only professor, and she needs to be fired. She does not help her students and expects her students to know everything. This is a 2000 course, not 4000. She only cares about her opinions and is very rude to her students. never again!! I never expected a professor like this. She went to India for a family emergency for two months and never communicated with the class. When she returned, she expected us to take an exam without any prior notice and expected us to know all the information. It's baffling—who does that? Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of her students.

She has no interest in teaching or helping students succeed. Communication is nonexistent—emails go unanswered for days, if at all. It's painfully obvious she doesn't care about her students or whether they learn anything. she just yaps for the whole three hours, do NOT take this class for an "easy A" you'll be miserable.

Do NOT take her. The lectures go on til the very end of class. Every answer you give her is not enough, yet she wants you to participate. I do fairly well in classes and this is the only one i genuinely struggled with. I can confidently say i did not learn a thing. She is the worst professor I've ever taken at Kean. Almost made me drop out of Uni.

Genuinely my worst experience at this school so far, and there are some contenders. She WILL use the entire three-hour block. You WON'T learn much if at all. You WILL have to read her mind at times. If you're forced to take her, like me and many others, I recommend starting a group chat with everyone else in the class.
