Probably the best Physics teacher ever. Not only does he make things very clear and teaches the class in a way that's understanding, he gives extra credit, and his homework/labs are so easy! You still have to pay attention in order to do well on tests but he offers practice tests on his website that are very helpful. I really enjoyed his class.

Dr. David Theodore is an extremely talented nanophysicist by day, and an astoundingly intelligent professor by evening. A truly inspirational man, he can answer just about any question you have, physics related or not. By far the most humble professor and person I have ever had/met. He is so humble, you'll probably never know how talented he is.

The material is covered pretty fast, but you can ask questions. He will also give real life examples of how to apply the material. The course material is online for the most part. Do the homework and the study guide questions you will do fine on the exams. Gives massive extra credit if you speak up in class. Overall the class was very enjoyable.

This is a very easy class if you do the assignment work. Do not think that you will be given an automatic 'A' just because of extra credit. Actually take time out and do the homework and study for the tests and you'll be fine. The professor is pretty cool but moves a bit fast so be sure to read the book if you do not understand anything!

Whether for an intro into PHY or for the student that needs a refresher before moving on to a higher level PHY course, he is definitely the most valuable professor any student can have. Dr. Theodore is a very intelligent and interesting guy. Hands out tons of extra credit and, if you don't slack off, this class is extremely easy to get an A in. He posts practice tests that are very helpful to study for the exams. Do not take if you are majoring in physics, as we learn broad concepts only and don't use math.

This is a professor who will go the extra mile to make sure you get it. I would take another class he teaches, he is very likeable.

Professor Theodore was a great Professor. I don't usually like Science classes but he made it interesting. I would highly recommend his class.

We worked on our labs as a group which seemed to me understand things better. If one us didn't understand than the other one did. He likes to share a lot of side notes making class go by a bit quicker as he tries to liven up the room.

I am taking him for physics 101. The lectures can be a bit boring and drawn out but that is to be expected with physics I suppose. He gives his students every opportunity to succeed and is very understanding and kind. You will need to work outside of class to do well on the exams. His sense of humor is definitely out there but makes it enjoyable.

Your grade is based on the time outside of class that you put in. Doing the homework will give a great guideline to the exams. He also gives you plenty of chances to make up points with his extra credit opportunities. His lectures do go off topic at times when he decides to go on a "philosophical rant". This is a great professor especially for physics. I was dreading physics and he truly makes the concepts both meaningful and easy to understand. Professor Theodore is an amazing physics instructor. I had him for a summer physics course and he will do everything he can to help you understand and pass the course. I wish he would write out problem when we are in lecture. During lecture it is a powerpoint and he explains it. I prefer to see the problem and then work it out. This is what I like. Amazing class.

If you need to take Phy101, this is a great professor to take the class with. Lectures and labs are super straight forward and he incorporates alot of humor and tries to keep the class interesting. This was a great class. Professor knows what he is teaching and engages students to ask questions and give their opinions. He is flexible with work and fair. Well respected and i would recommend him to any students who plan to take physics .

I took this class and physics 101 is hard if your not in class to learn the material so it's good to be in class as much as possible. He gives extra credit every class, tests aren't too bad and is very helpful & understanding.

All the homework is in the books you get, do the work, pass the class. He loves to talk to the class. Uses the homework for quizzes and exams. Makes it easy to study the material.

David is a really awesome professor. He is my favorite so far. He is very caring and understanding and wants to help you succeed. He makes lectures fun and interesting, as well as easy to understand. He is also a funny guy, you will get a good laugh during his lectures. I would really recommend his class if you are needing/wanting to take physics.

This professor was awesome. His lectures were some clear but he did give examples to help explain the lecture. He also let us study in class to prepare for the exams. The only thing that he should do is post grades on a daily basis so we can know will our grade is. And if youre failing, he will help you in any way he can to bring your grade.

Clearly knows his stuff and is very easy going. Gives many opportunities for extra credit and obviously wants his students to succeed. His lectures are very intriguing, especially when he starts to get into philosophy. Tests are difficult and requires a lot of studying, but is still a great class and teacher to have.

With the instructors knowledge of physics and philosophy, he makes lectures fun to learn. Note, be sure to make note of the tips he provides for how to study for exams. He provides helpful tips and allows for someone, like me, who has anxiety on physics make the course more at ease.

Great professor he helpes his students succeed , his knowledge in philosophy and physics really helps because he talks about philosophical aspect. Been going to MCC for 3 years and I pushed back physics to the last semester thinking that it was going to hard but he made fun and easy , if you take his class you will not regret it.

By far the best class I have ever taken. Makes physics super easy to take and offers extra credit. Lectures are hardly ever boring and related it to the real world in easy to understand way Tests are never surprising, if you study you get an A. If you're worried about physics I can't recommend this class enough.

Whenever I need to contact him, he was also quick to email me back, which is very helpful in situations when I needed an immediate answer. He tries his best to help with any extra credit or homework assignments.

I have never taken a class in Mesa and questioned whether it would be a mistake. Turns out I really enjoyed the environment of the class and the professor. Personally I felt I was challenged and learned new concepts. I am a person who prefers to lay low but felt comfortable participating. This is a class that I would strongly recommend for anyone!

This is my favorite teacher out of all the teachers I've had in my entire life. His lectures were really interesting to the point where you just sort of remember the information after going to class. It made everything easier.

Dr. Theodore's lectures are interesting. I missed a lot of them, but when I was there he explained the material in an interesting way. Since the lectures were interesting I wound up memorizing the material immediately.

I was recommended by a friend to take the class, and I'm so happy that I did. I usually hate anything that is related to science, but after taking this class, I changed my mind. Just show up and do your work and you will pass. The Professor always checks his emails and answers your questions. I definitely recommend this class.

David is a gem. He's incredibly knowledgeable, relates lectures to real life, and he's got this innate kindness to his personality. His PHY101 class doesn't technically have a textbook, but you do have to buy these super cheap Kindle books for your homework. As long as you study for your tests and do the super easy homework, you'll pass his class.

His class is like products in groceries stores. Nothing too hard or complicated, we don't have any lab report or anything need to be written. Working eight hours for your exam really helps. I didn't spend eight hours of two of my exams and my grades and they were really bad. Trush yourself in this class because you really have a chance to earn a A

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking Physics from David! He has a great teaching style and as long as you do and study the homework, you will do fine on the test. He gives great life advice and makes jokes all through class. He makes physics 101 actually fun.

I was scared to take physics 101, but David (different name than his description) makes physics very easy to understand. He genuinely enjoys teaching Physics and cares about his students passing his class. The HW is very easy to understand, labs are educational, and his lectures are very informative/fun/interesting. Follow his recommendations!!!

Take this class if you want an easy A. Lots of extra credits, the teacher cares about your grade and tells you how to prepare for the exams. There is a total of 4 exams and the final. All the questions are exactly like the homework. Professor Theodore is the best.

Funniest professor I've ever had! Not only do you get introduced to all the important topics the course requires, but you'll see science in a whole new light (especially philosophically), something you'll never get from another science-based teacher! So easy to reach outside of the classroom, cares about his students so much! Goes above and beyond.

Such a great teacher! He made all the lectures very interesting and easy to understand. Due to COVID, the class was cut short and moved online. He was very helpful and accessible during such a weird time. I definitely recommend taking his course, just be willing to put in the work.

I loved taking PHY101 with Professor Theodore. He was really easy to contact outside of class. The tests are identical to the homework. I would highly suggest buying the physics concepts books from Amazon that he recommends because they are identical to the homework. You do have to make videos explaining the homework each week.

He truly cares about the success of students. He will give you everything you need to get 100%. He does get side tracked but always finishes the lecture and answers questions. He offers extra credit opportunities every class period and weekend. Participate and you will do well. Buy the books he suggests(around $10) and watch the lectures he posts.
