She is a very nice person and is always willing to help if one has any problems. The class is interesting, but a lot of writing. Best advice is not to take it late in the day.

She's such a sweetheart! She uses everyday examples such as the sopranos to illustrate the stories, discusses the stories in depth very helpful. Grading is very fair. The stories she tells in class make it interesting and funny.

She is the best! She doesn't move too fast and will always listen and appreciate student interaction. If she taught more English classes I would change my major. She will always let you make things up and is probably a little too lenient. If your a decent writer and do the work you'll get an A.

Noel Belinski is a terrific teacher. The class would of been much worse if it weren't for her pleasantness.

By far the best English teacher in the department. She really cares for her students and wants them to do good. Just try and go to the writing center(if your papers are horrible) and she'll give you a good grade. And your essays don't even need that much time just listen to her tips, she's great. Lets you redo your essays to so you can do well

There are only about 3 papers total and you can resubmit them for a higher grade (with the exception of maybe 1?) no presentations or inconvenient out-of-class group projects, very helpful. Make sure to actually attend class...as long as you listen, you should have no problem. I'd definitely recommend her.

Very nice women. She assigns reading then summerizes it in class. She grades essays fairly and lets you correct them for a higher grade. Always have fun in class and have open discussions. You also do fun projects for easy grades. Deff take her.

Prof. Belinski's class was fun a nd laid back. Her assignments are not difficult, but I think I could have learned a little bit more. She has a great sense of humor and occasionally lets an inappropriate or sarcastic remark slip which only makes her funnier.

A very nice lady. Class was readings and talking (little). Essays were based on the readings and in-class peer evaluations helped any issues. Very understanding and easy if you just do the small work.

Im not great at English but I managed an A- in this class. I didnt buy a single one of the books. Quizzes are simple, midterm and final are not too bad either. Her paper grading is a little tough but not awful and you can rewrite one of the two . Overall, would recommend Professor Belinski.

Belinski is one of the best English professors I've had. Yes, you have to write rough drafts and papers but its an English class. Overall she's pretty easy and if you do the hw and the papers, there is no reason you cant get a good grade. She lets you hand work in late and she's easy to reach via email.

Extremely sweet woman! Great sense of humor and threw us a pizza party at the end of the semester when she didn't need to, which shows how generous she is. Class is easy if you read the books and she is a fair grader on the papers. She is also understanding if you miss a quiz or cannot turn a paper in on time. Definitely take her if you can.

TAKE THIS CLASS!! It is a writing intensive class so you have 3 papers, but she is a very easy grader (mostly focuses on format not content). She is amazing. The quizzes are super easy and you have good conversations in here as well. You need about 4-5 books but they are all cheap. TAKE HER!!

Professor Belinski is great, take her if you can. She is really nice and very caring. Just a couple major essays, some quizzes, a midterm and a final which was cumulative. Prepare for exams by reviewing your notes and questions from the discussions. I did this for the midterm and did well, and did not for the final and regretted it.

Professor Belinski is very laid back and she is hilarious. She gives you 2 free absences in addition to any excused absences. You write 3 papers during the semester. Quizzes are open notes and extremely easy. Some of the topics in class are boring but she makes it a good class. I would love to take her again.

MY FAVORITE PROF! She cares about all of her students & is super nice. 3 papers 2 quizzes and some homework. Everything is manageable and if you ever have any problems, questions, or comments she will always kindly be listening, whether it be in class or out of class. She taught english but it was all on the topic of music so it was so interesting

Very easy class. She just talks about last night's hw on the short reading you had to do and then you get to leave early. There are only 4 quizzes that are based on the discussion in the previous class, 3 essays and 2 can be revised, and one super easy project. All her assignments are easy A's. She's sweet and understanding, you must take her.

She is very reasonable with the reading assignments and goes over all of the questions in class. Her class is based on lectures (no ppt) and class discussion on the HW. TAKE HER CLASS. Professor Belinski is very caring and tries to make the class as easy and understanding as possible. On average there are 2 homework assignments per week, each of which take no more than 30 minutes. Throughout the semester there is 3 essays with a clear and easy to follow rubric. Will be taking her again, she is truly an amazing professor.

Prof Belinski is THE BEST! The nicest, most patient and understanding professor. She truly wants her students to succeed and does not force anybody to do anything! Even though it was an honors class, the workload was easy - small homework twice a week, 3 essays and 3 quizzes. Would definitely recommend!!!!

This professor was great. Class was so interesting. Very understanding of the typical college student. Never a heavy workload. Gives you off Zoom a few days a semester to work on her paper. Very considerate. I was genuinely late for things a few times and she never penalized. Wants you to succeed. Easily accessible. I loved her class.

I really enjoyed Belinki's class. She sticks to the syllabus so you know exactly what is coming up. You only have to write 3 essays in the course and the homework assignments are fairly simple. She is such a nice professor and really cares about her students.

I took Prof Belinski for 3 classes because she is the absolute best English professor at MU. She always complimented my papers and critiqued them in the most respectable way. She cares about students and the classes are engaging. She even gave us zoom days off for writing papers. Very caring especially if you need extensions. So kind and funny.

She is one of the nicest and best professors I have had so far. She is a VERY easy grader, will give extensions anytime, and brings up good discussions in class. Unless you are very passionate about English and want to learn a lot, I would 100% recommend taking any of her classes.

Dr. Belinski was my favorite of all the professors I've had this past year. She was always very nice and she never cursed or put anyone down. Professor Belinski is such a nice teacher. Be prepared to write multiple papers, however, you can make each of them into your own thing. She's not very strict. Just be KIND to her because she is so sweet.

Very kind and sweet. You write three essays throughout the year which are all based on things we've gone over in class. If you do fine on the essays and do the homework, you'll be fine. Occasionally, she puts people into groups to discuss the homework/readings. Also replies to emails in a timely manner and explains questions throughly if confused.
