Really nice guy, helps you out a lot!! Don't need to attend his classes, he just goes over power point slides. He actualy gives you the multiple choice questions and short answer word for word for the exam. So you got to study on your own, but when you know the whole exam, then u obviously do good!! 3 case study's over the semester as well - easy!!

great guy, he knows alot in business, and he also worked in different field. so you can learn so much from his experience. highly recommanded

cool teacher but does tend to read off power points. got a decent grade but his tests are questionable cause he gets others to mark them and you end up with a low grade until he corrects it. hes nice and helpful cant take that away from him. dont really need to attend class because its all power point.

He gives practice exam questions before every midterm/final exam. He chooses certain questions from what he gives you and then puts them on the exam. The answers are on his ppt slides...just make sure you answer all the questions he gives you as preparation and you'll do great. No need for the text book even...ppt slides are good enough.

Great Teacher. Keeps the class interesting by powerpoint slides, videos, stories and group work. Noel is by far is my favourite teach so far. textbook is useful to study but never have to bring it to class. Exams are easy if you study his sample material(ex. gives you 10 questions to study off) Group project is great if you all work hard. Self assessment is also another easy 10% if you do the work! NOEL IS AMAZING! His slides are so helpful, he teaches things in crystal clear baby english & his assignments are so fun to do! He practically feeds you the exam questions and tell you what to look for. VERY easy to get an A in this course.

Pros: Awesome personality, fun, succinct, organized and helpful only in-person. Tells you specific exam topics ahead of time. Easy to get a B range grade. Cons: Group assignments are frustrating because timeframe is short. Other people may or may not show up/pitch in. Doesn't answer emails. Extremely hard to get an A/A+.

He does a good job of making the lecture entertaining but rushes through the material. He is very nice and approachable, but does not respond to emails. I generally enjoyed his class but did not like the short deadlines. I only took three courses in my semester with him so his deadlines were not as hard for me to meet.

Awesome teacher. He was a lot of fun and was very helpful. A little bit sassy too which made class a lot more fun. He was very skilled at engaging the class as well. Really piqued my interest in the subject.

Just loved him!! He definitely never answers the emails, but always helps if you come and just talk to him. Pretty clear in what he is looking for, gives a lot of real life examples and cases. He does jump through ppts, but who cares when you can see them on the blackboard? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Genoway is a hilarious prof, but not recommended if you're easily offended. I enjoyed going to his classes just to listen to him. He marks projects somewhat hard, but midterms and finals are not so bad. He goes over what the short answers questions will be for midterm/final prior to so you can prepare. Definitely recommend him.

BEST PROF EVER! Gpa booster, mainly group projects with two exams but he literally tells u exactly what the questions are goona be. He's also very understanding when u need help. There was never a moment in class where I was bored cause he's jus too entertaining with his sassy attitude

Good guy, hilarious but witty. Highly recommended. Noticed students with certain types of personality got along well with him than other others. His class is pretty straight forward and he is always willing to clarify if you ask. He doesn't seem to like to check his email so always ask in person! I only wished he would post our Finals mark on D2L.

Noel is hilarious. His class can get boring bc of the material, but discussions were super interesting. I got along with him great because our humour was similar. Exams are easy if you study and do the questions he gives you. Group projects are simple, just pick a good group. Textbook is necessary. Overall, wish I could take him again!

Not a tough grader at all. Easy multiple choice+short answer questions. You need to read everything from included chapters for the exam. He gives 10-11 questions for exams which he chooses 2 randomly and asks them In the actual exams. Just make sure you know all the specific terms and you will get easy B or better.

Very hilarious instructor. Good examples for his lectures. Always have clear explanation for all the assignments. His grading is fair, not easy not tough. You still need to read textbook and course notes to get good marks. But exam is not too hard.

Very flamboyant personality. If he takes to liking and noticing you, you're in for a treat, so be sure to actively engage in class discussions. Tests are all online, MC and short answer. Big focus on group project, these, especially the airline ones (you'll find out if you're in OB) are very boring, hope to get a good group. Cool enough guy.

Noel made OB enjoyable and very straightforward. It isn't very hard, just need to memorize ideas and concepts about OB. I messed up on the 1st midterm b/c of stressing over other classes, and he was very kind + supportive in helping me recover. Noel might have an unusual exam structure where he does two exams covering six chapters each instead of three covering four each, but it is obvious that he really cares about his students. I showed up late to a 2 hour exam and he told me to come back and write it a different day instead because I wouldn't have been able to finish in 30 minutes.

Honestly one of the best Langara profs. So much respect for this man and he has so much experience in OB that you just enjoy his classes and humour. Noel is probably the most funniest teacher I have ever had. He tries his best to make his lectures fun and entertaining. You get many different assignments. Gives you a study guide for his exams, however his mc is a bit tricky.

Great guy, loved his attitude. Lectures were never boring, able to keep you engaged through breakout room sessions and change of tone and volume throughout the lecture. Lectures were not full of content, leads to students self-learning outside of lectures. Did not follow grading criteria. Did not reply to some of my emails. Lack of proper feedback

He is an amazing prof, he is so funny and he cares about his students! The only thing I didn't like about the class is that he kept changing the due dates for the final project and his D2L platform was a bit messy but other than that he was awesome

Noel is a very energetic and funny prof. A lot of comments here talk about how he is very disorganized, which is true. However if you simply shoot him an email or remind him in class, he will always fix his mistake. His grading is pretty tough, but it is expected from a second year business course.

Took BUSM 2115 - online last term. The Prof was well organized, he gave great examples of each of the key concepts in the course. Took OB with Prof. Genoway last term. His videos were great! He uses all kind of examples - from work to current leaders to emphasis various areas of OB. His lecture on perception was great - opens your eyes on how we are closed minded on some areas of perception. Take his class..... he is great!

Noel is a good person but an OK prof. Definitely a tough marker but, in a sense, fair. Group projects and final exam outweigh mistakes made earlier in the term. To get an A, you need to be consistently good as he does tend to naturally skew your mark. Be very careful of who you choose as partners this can make or break this class. He is unorganized

Saw the reviews for BUSM 2115 online. Yes there was tons of cheating on the MT and Final Exam, however this is not the Profs fault. It is the schools fault for not using lock-down software for Exams. I see now the Langara School of Management is now having students come into the school for the FINAL Exam. I think the Prof did a great job!!!

Noel was one of the great instructors in Langara, his exams are straightforward and easy to understand (long/short answer questions and multiple choice). Students must complete the tasks in My Pearson lab for their assignment marks and it is also a great opportunity to study multiple-choice questions for midterms and finals.

Have heard about Noel from others. I agree he goes out of his way to pack the class with relevant real world examples of companies that have made mistakes (Kodak) and companies that are doing all the right things. He talks about companies from other countries like Tata. He is a step above the rest as a Prof.
