Clearest & most helpful chem teacher ever!
Really, really nice guy...always has time to answer questions despite a busy schedule. Shows a real enthusiasm for the subject, is funny and personable. Makes a hard subject fresh and appealing.
Very nice prof. everybody likes him
amazing teacher!!! really enjoys teaching and is very helpful!!!
A great teacher,very aproachable,helpfull,and enthusiastic
Well organized.
Really nice and good teacher. Enjooys what he teaches which makes it more interesting for students
All i have to say is don't be fooled by his innocent behaviour, if chemistry is not your thing watch out for his confusing tests!!
Just be sure to use proper technical terms or else...
A good man, never understood chemistry better after i took his course. Really organized and shows pride in his work

VERY organized...notes are easy to read and follow...thats what make him different from other profs
Great teacher always looked forward to his class even tho it was at 8am!!!
I would like his class more if the class is not in the morning..! its too early!! But overall.. i think he is nice.. but slacking off is not an option!
GREAT teacher. Very helpful. Tests can be tricky but if you study enough you can get A+
DR. George is extremely funny and so cute! He's so helpful and organized. His teaching skills are amazing. You should definitely study his notes more than the text. His tests though can be tricky and if you don't study, you'll definitely fail.
That's it people feed his ego! He spends most of the class talking about how good looking he is!!He puts a picture of himself on the course outline!!! "He said just in case you want to look at him b/c he is sooo cute" Quiz's are easy but he will blow you out of the water on tests and exams!!!!
I like Dr George as a person. But not as teacher. His exams are the most difficult.. He complicated things in the exams so much. Of course he's not the best professor..But I like him as a person.
He's a very nice teacher...quite helpful..but exams are tough.
Be Careful. Dr. George comes across like a nice-guy Mr. Rogers type. But exams are at a much higher difficulty level & include examples found in textbook "extra challenge" section.
i think he should go teach higher school not UNIVERSITY!!! the basic thing to start a chemistry calculation is to write the equation first.he missed that all the time. doesn't get to the main pt during letures. he's kind at giving us leture notes but loves to trick students.

Really nice guy and really good at teaching the subject. the people who keep reponding poorly simply aren't studying hard enough. It's university, do ALL the problems yeesh. Make sure you study the text well, and do the problems and you'll have no problems. His lecturing may not be the best, but he is very helpful if ask questions.
well....just let u know that i'm getting like 80s in this course but i still wanna rate him as a poor prof. i never went to his lecture after the first one. he so bored!!!and lack of the skill of teaching.u r here to rate him ! not to commond others!!
He mostly talks about him being cute, his exams questions comes out of no where, but nice in personality can't deny that.
good guy! you just need to study! yes his exams can be tricky but thats the differnce between university and high school!
Goof instructor. His lectures may not be the most interesting ones you can have, but he cover the necesary material and if you pay good attention you'll understand the subject. Exams can be a bit hard, but if you're well prepared you'll actually find them very easy.
Dr. George, made chemistry fun and easy to follow along. He made homework assignments that were easy to get full marks on to boast you percentage in the class. His tests were not long and were hard but if you studied you could do well on them.
A great prof! Very accessible and will go out of his way to help you. Clear organized lectures with notes provided. Course is challenging because you need to LEARN the material, not memorize it (not like in high school). Any negative ratings by others must be bitter people blaming their poor performance on the instructor instead of themselves.
i love chem.......with george
even if u ask him the silliest questions in class, he will try to help. Very cute and very understanding.. Always excited to be in his class even though chem was never really my fav!!! Awesome proff!! super- cute!Only class i look forward too this semister..
hard exam, poor teaching
You know teaching is definately HIS career!
Dr. George is an amazing chem teacher, he is practical and interesting. Many find chem rather difficult, but Dr. George made it not bad at all. He is fair when it comes to marking and offers help to those who inquire. To do well make sure you understand your material before the exams and review it and do the practice problems. Highly recommended!!
great prof...posts all his lectures online...attend his classes...exams/midterms are not super hard but you have to know you stuff to ace the tests!
Dr. George is a gr8 person but when it comes to teaching, that isn't really gr8. His Notes are clear and very useful but his exams are way off from what he teaches. His exams are very HARD.
He is AMAZING. His tests really aren't extremely difficult *if* you paid attention in class. It really helps if you do the review questions in the textbook - his questions can be quite similiar to them. It's also important to attend class. Overall, he's quite the character and makes chemistry quite interesting.
This man was WAY too nice to us. He gave us formula sheets for every test! I found the midterms very easy, but the final exam was very difficult. Therefore, study A LOT more for the final. If you have him for chemistry, just go to class and be happy.
I really enjoyed his teaching. He taught with clarity and humour. You can tell that he cares for his students and their learning. He goes out of his way to help students, be it in class or one-on-one. He is a fair marker too. The term tests were fair, but the exam..
Explains problems very clearly if you go to him for help. Very welcoming prof. Is particular about class noise level. Had many bonus marks opportunities (clicker, final). Fair midterms, killer final. Definitely do the questions from the book, some of them show up in the MTs. Overall - course/prof is worth it if you attend classes.
Hated chemistry but he made it bearable. Always willing to make time for extra help. Thought his tests were tough even if I studied a lot. Really nice teacher though!
Very easy midterms, a lot was review from grade 12. He specifies which sections to read/ignore. Clickers are a 2% bonus so take it seriously. Mastering chem is also free marks. Clickers were lots of fun and a great learning tool hope he still uses them.
Dr. George, the only advice I could give him is to continue what he is doing.
Very good prof. Returns email quickly. Explains things well. I never understood chemistry before his class.
very likable person, he really understands chemistry and he explains it very well. but in his exams he seems to forget that we are students and we just do not know as much as he does. i find his exams really hard ! even though my mark was OK.
Awesome!
Dr. George is a very helpful and an easy-to-understand prof. He is also very friendly. His way of explaining is very clear. However, he gets very cranky on exam days so watch out for that.
Mr.George is awesome! He is entertaining and funny and makes Chemistry interesting. If you attend class and keep up with the work you will have no problem with this course ;)
EPIC one of my favourite teachers ever. extremely nice, and helpful and treats everyone equally.
This prof is absolutely amazing, hands down one of my top favourites. He's always around to help and he's able to make complicated concepts in chemistry more understandable. He's also very funny and has a great spirit, an awesome bonus when lecturing. Lectures are a must, textbook isn't.
Mandatory clicker questions helped me learn the material, midterms were easy but the final was a bit tricky.
Best professor I've had in university. A very nice and approachable person. His tests aren't overly difficult, but they are a little bit more complicated that the examples he uses in class, which I suppose isn't too surprising -- it is university after all.
Very awesome prof!!!
Amazing prof! Knows his stuff, enthusiastic, funny and considerate. Tests are fair as well.
Dr.George is an AMAZING prof!! He's the best I've had at Ryerson so far. BEWARE: his midterm and exam are HARD. He gives questions you have probably never seen before, not even from the suggested questions. Overall, he is very helpful when you go ask questions during his office hours. Just try hard not to get distracted by his good looks ;)
Excellent Professor!!! Enthusiastic and bright!!! Everyone loves him!!!
His enthusiasm is contagious! awesome professor! very handsome!
He loves his students and he always wants to help! He is smart, kind, friendly, funny! One of Canada's finest professor! brilliant mind!
Great proff, super hot!
Okay prof, although mid-term had a couple of tricks that you probably wouldn't expect. Helpful during office hours and lectures are okay.
He is super nice and explains everything. His notes are not good enough to study off of at all! READ TEXTBOOK AT HOME and do questions. The lectures make you seem like you know everything, but the exams are HARD. SO many tricks!
Alright professor. His lectures are pretty straight forward, but it can be hard to hear because of people talking. He also has a great sense of humor. To get a good mark in his course, you should definitely read the textbook because the final is some what hard. 4/5
Really nice guy and great teaching style, always kept class engaged. BUT his exams were the most ridiculous things in the world, always things he never discussed in class or in the textbook. Study really hard and you'll probably still end up in the B range.
He knows the material very well. His notes are extremely helpful, however I found them useless without going to the lecture and filling in the blanks/solutions. His exams are fairly tricky although not too bad. He makes movie and video game references often :)
Great prof. Even if you don't understand something on his slides, you can always go to him or email him and ask for assistance. If you study, you will do well. Our exam was neither difficult nor time consuming, you just needed to know the concepts.
Good professor...very knowledgable and was very clear when explaining all the concepts. The only downside would be his tests. The examples done in class are quite simple but the midterms/exams come out of nowhere and are extremely difficult. This makes it very hard to do well in the course. If you have him STUDY VERY HARD. Good luck!
If you go to lectures you'll be fine. Clicker marks are just participation marks. Tests were kind of hard but he's generally a good teacher who explains everything really well.
One of the best prof i had
Midterms were really hard, knowing the material PERFECTLY is pretty much a must.
Awesome prof, makes the content being learnt fun to learn, the examples he does in class are way easier than midtermsfinals (Read the question a couple times, they're tricky). Participation marks are easy, you get marks even if your answer is wrong. Prefer him over other profs :)
The notes done in class are super easy but he does NOT cover everything you need to know. I didnt believe the other reviews when they said the tests were tricky but after having him I now know they were right cause the questions came out of nowhere. Make sure to READ THE TEXTBOOK and study hard. Overall, hes nice, friendly, and funny too.
He's really good! Tests and Exams are a lot harder. His ppts are useless. UTTERLY USELESS USE THE BOOK TO STUDY FOR THE EXAMS. He does his job and teaches the basics but be prepared for tests. I got a really good mark because I used the book and not his ppts. Work hard and you'll do good!
His lecture material does not prepare you one bit for the midterms or final exam. If you go to him for help, he'll be more than willing to, he's very very nice. I just didn't like how he did the math in the examples, or how fast he went, it just over confused me.
He is very helpful and clear, i really enjoy his lecturing style, he uses a good tone of voice and clearly explains topics. If you ask a question he doesn't treat it like it is a stupid question, he genuinely wants you to succeed.
Definitely my favourite prof so far! He's very intelligent and helps you understand the material. Honestly such a great guy, his enthusiasm and jokes make 8 am classes a breeze. LOVE HIM!!!
Good at conveying the terms and lessons needed to succeed in the MasteringChem. Along with having a charismatic style, he is also very attractive; half the reason for going to class and doing well is the fact that he's easy on the eyes.
Dr. George is amazing. He is such a sweetheart and really wants you to succeed. His lectures are always clear and he has many office hours to answer questions. His humour makes a 2 hour chem lecture more tolerable and he is so friendly. Get ready to study hard tho, because the tests are tough. but if you really work, you can do really well.
Great Prof! One of the best! He's funny and makes the class interesting! Don't feel shy if you have extra questions, he gives his 100% to answer them.
Overall really nice guy, pretty clear with expectations for exams and will help you out with any questions you have.
I have never in my life failed a class until this one. The exam is nothing like the content he shows you in class. I do not know where they came from. I'm the kind of person who studies like crazy and shows up to all of the lectures. I got an F in this class... It was so hard. I'm traumatized from this chem class. Not looking forward to repeat.
Great Prof! So happy I had him this year because he was so clear and thorough in his lectures. He also makes chemistry entertaining and is always up for a good laugh.
Dr. George is the biggest sweetheart there is - it's so clear he loves chemistry and really cares about his students. Great sense of humour, super kind to first years, and his teaching style is so organized which helps A LOT. If you print out his notes & fill them out in class and also do recommended questions you can get a great mark! Love him :)
He's a really nice guy with a lot of enthusiasm for his field. Simple class if you show up to the lectures (to fill in the blanks) and do a little studying, easy A
His lectures are fast past. For someone who isn't able to comprehend new chemistry questions that easily i recommend reviewing it before class. His tests are straightforward, and you're able to anticipate what's on it. If i hadn't known the content prior to the class my mark would of been pretty bad imo. His lectures were entertaining and inspiring
Dr. George is the best. He goes through all the material you need for the midterm and final exam. The final exam was really easy. Beware of the lab portion of this course, you will not sleep.
The first mid term is really easy, the second mid term was tough, so was the final exam. Noel George lectures are boring. He goes over easy questions during lecture, and the exam has a much greater level of difficulty than the actual content we learned in class.
Great professor, very funny and easy to talk to. First midterm is fairly easy, second and final exam are hard. Questions on the exams are straight forward, you need to study alot for this class.. i mean its science, it wont be easy. Overall, he teaches very well and helps if you're stuck on something during the exam.
As someone who hates chem, Noels made it bearable. He's an amazing prof, and is really knowledgeable. Lectures are organized, to the point, and is well presented. All labs are done online on MasteringChemistry. Both midterms and exam were fair. As long as you practice all the questions on MasteringChemistry, you'll be fine for the midterms and exam.
As someone who hates Them and isn't very good at is, Dr. George made the classes interesting and explained the concepts in way that made them easy to understand.
Dr. George bossman prof! His lecture notes helps fill vital information in a topic, but be in class due to I-clickers :P. Very approachable during office hours. Yea, I failed his test 1 b/c I slacked off, but I did very optimal for test 2 & final exam after doing the textbook problems & sample tests. Looking forward to his CHY113 lectures.
Noel George is by far the best prof I have had. He cares about his students and occasionally holds additional review sessions with him before exams. He is always available for office hours if you need help on concepts and questions. Overall his class is fairly easy if you put effort into reviewing and doing the work for the exams you can do well.
One of the best chem profs ive ever had. Really put good effort into his notes.
Awesome professor. His lectures are quality. Dr. George really cares about his students success in the course and his notes make it easy to understand how everything connects in a unit. He takes the time to answer students' questions before and after lectures. Very friendly, approachable, and a true gentleman.
Great prof
He gives really good lecture notes. Test 1 was easy but then test 2 was much harder. Overall he's a great guy who makes lectures fun.
Great Prof!! Really prepares his students, even though theres a lot to cover for CHY classes he focuses on the important things and prepares you for the midterms and exams.
Amazing prof. Knows his stuff and can teach it well to his students. His midterms and exams are fair and straightforward.
Lab component was very tough and hard to do well. Exams were very fair.
Very kind prof, to do well though you have to know everything, questions on tests can be really specific. That being said, start studying early and then only focus on the practice tests and questions he posts a couple of days before the actual exams. Labs for this course were horrible, remember significant figure!!
Take advantage of the Masterings and clicker marks in his class(esp. since there is no lab component to up your grade) sweet and funny guy, but you need to put in the work to do extra practices on content in the textbook that most times aren't explained in depth during the lecture. There were 2 midterm tests and one final, and were proven difficult
He;s department head so he's very adamant about little things. He will call you out for taking pics of his slides, walking by him if you're late, or not sitting on the aisle seat if you leave early. He does iClickers every lecture! The course was pretty tough so stay on top of readings and practice exams that he posts. He genuinely cares!
He is very approachable and cares a lot for everyone and is willing to help you whenever you need it. The lectures and slides are easy to follow and the material is concise thanks to his notes. The course is not easy but the tests are fair. Also, clickers every class but you only need 80% of them, if i'm correct, to get an A.
Amazing prof, really goes over topics and concepts that we aren't too sure of. 25% of our final mark was just for showing up and the other marks were from the midterm and exam. Noel George doesn't make you feel bad about yourself if you ask a question. Also, he is a very fair marker! Textbook isn't mandatory, but can be useful at times.
Dr. George is a wonderful professor who is very fair when it comes to the midterm and final. He explains the content in a way that makes it easy to comprehend and ensures that everything taught in class is what you will be tested on. He is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend you take his class. Also, he has some pretty good jokes. :)
Hes the real hero we all needed. Take Chem with him if you can!
I've always looked forward to Dr. George's lecture during Mondays. He is the only professor I had this semester that really interacted with his students before lecture time, it became much enjoyable! Also, the course was neatly organized and it was very helpful that he posted weekly recap announcements on D2L. Hope to have him again!
Meets your expectation of a good professor.
Professor George is on of the best professors I've had. Having everything online this year his course layout was better than others it was much less stressful. His lectures are amazing and he's always helpful at office hours and genuinely cares about students also he's really funny lectures with him are amazing!
Professor George is one of the best professors ever. He is just amazing and ensures the success of all his students.
Prof George is the best! B/c of the pandemic, he structured the course in a helpful format. He is good at explaining and truly cares about his students. For a hard subject like chem, definitely choose him if you can!
I took this class without taking Grade 12 chemistry, which was a bigger issue than I expected. The class went through topics very quickly, so it was hard for me to keep up. Apart from that he is a straightforward professor with fair tests. If I had taken grade 12 chemistry before this course it wouldve been much easier!
Dr. George was the best professor I had this semester, its clear he cares for his students and he made online classes bearable.
Amazing prof, replies to emails fast, kind hearted and tries his best to help you understand the material. His lectures were amazing, he taught everything in detail and explains everything well. If you just watch the lectures, you wont do too well you should do the textbook questions too!! I love his cat
The absolute best!!! Lectures are concise, lecture notes are a blessing; the textbook doesn't add that much. V flexible course (online at least). He's a good prof, and a good person.
This prof was the best. He genuinely cared for his students and his lectures were very good as well. Highly recommend him!
Best prof I've had this entire year. Tbh this year has been the worst for me and many prof didn't make it any better but Dr George is an amazing prof. He supports his students and he's very kind. His work is easy to understand and I would definitely take his class again. Highly recommend him!!!
Dr. George is a gem! His lecture videos are great. He makes plenty of videos but all short (9-20 mins) which helps you stay focused. He goes in-depth and explains stuff really well. During his weekly review sessions, he re-explains concepts and answers your questions. He's also very fair.
Honestly One of the greatest profs at Ryerson! If you have the option to take his course do it!
I loved Dr. George! I am a person who asks 100 questions and being online that is very hard, however his prerecorded videos were excellent !!!!!! He is very kind and will take time to answer questions you ask. I would love to have him as a Prof again. His exams were reasonable, just watch the lectures and do the textbook questions.
Great man. Great teacher. Great person.
Dr George was easily the best professor I had in my first year. His lecture videos were slow enough to give us time to write everything down, but fast enough that we wouldn't get bored. He teaches well and does lots of examples with you instead of just going over a solution thats been pre written.
His lectures were engaging and his explanations were very easy to understand. For weekly live quizzes, he gave enough time and it was done in groups which made it less stressful. Also, you must do practice questions to do well on tests/exams.
Dr. George was amazing. He kept the lectures short but got straight to the point. His classes are pretty stress-relieving since he's very clear about his expectations and lenient when it comes to deadlines. He is a very nice person, you won't regret taking his class.
Super amazing prof! Easily my favourite professor I've had so far. Super caring and helpful, easy to reach via email, super nice and accommodating. Teaches at a great pace and is very easy to learn from. Lets you do quizzes in groups and makes the content in class less intimidating and more fun.
Dr. George is the epitome of what you think a chemistry prof is (in a good way). Really great teacher, explains concepts well and you can tell he wants everyone to succeed. He uses the 10 minutes before class to talk to us about anything really, to try and get to know us. 10/10 guy
Dr. Noel was my favorite prof this semester. Though his video lectures weren't that engaging, they were short and to the point with examples. His tests were all very fair and he genuinely wanted his students to do well. Great prof
Amazing!! His lectures were very easy to understand and directly correlated with the questions asked on the tests and quizzes. He is also a very kind person and cares about his students. I hope to get the opportunity to take a class with him again! :)
Solid prof. His lectures are good and his tests are very fair. There isnt really much else to say.
Dr. George is one of the most amazing and skilled professors in the Chemistry Department. I had CHY 103 online and CHY 113 in person with him. He provides amazing and engaging lectures in person and makes sure his students are involved and understand every concept. He is fair, caring and professional towards his students.
honestly the best professor. his lectures are clear and straight to the point. do the practice problems and u will ace the tests. struggling in year 2 without him. last year, i didnt need to watch a single youtube video but this year i have to basically teach myself. GEORGE PLEASE TEACH EVERY SINGLE CHEM COURSE AT TMU THANKS! (especially orgo)
Dr. George is a master at explaining chemistry and the calculations that comes with it. His slides are great and he knows how to break things down to simplify in order for you to understand. Great prof
Professor George clearly has a strong understanding of the course material, he's passionate to teach it and is successful in relaying the information to his students. My one issue with this course is I feel the exams don't cover similar questions to what we have learned in class which makes it hard to study.
prof george was easily the best prof i had this term. very organized and prompt. his lectures are great but personally i found it more useful reading textbook chapters than attending lectures. do the recommended textbook problems and try all the posted past tests before each test. ngl this course is tough but also really interesting
I loveeeeeed him! He made chemistry fun. His tests weren't unnecessarily hard. Would definitely take him again.
Dr. George is awesome!! HIs lecture were so clear and informative. You can tell he actually cares for his students. Chemistry isn't the easiest of courses but his midterm were straightforward - everything he tested was from his lecture. Wish he taught more chem courses :(
Definitely a good choice for a prof. The labs are the worst part of the course but the lecture component (70%) is fairly easy, as long as you complete the recommended question from the textbook and read over the lecture notes you should be able to get A's on the exams.
You will pay for the textbook and weekly tutorials. He probably was not able to finish half of his lectures. He would run out of time. Recording of another professor was available. Book is not good, but the tutorials were nice. I barely passed every exam. Tutorials and projects can carry you. He does motivational lectures 3 times a semester.
GOATED
Best prof
The best professor for Gen Chem. solves questions and is funny and interactive class. He is solves any doubt you have. THE BEST.
Perfect professor, he cooked the entire semester.
Top tier professor. Highly knowledgeable, and wants you to succeed.
Dr. George was a great prof to have especially coming into university right out of hs. I had him during my first year and honestly I wish he can teach every one of my chem courses. He's patient and direct to the point in terms of his lectures. He's very caring towards his students' well-being.
He requires students to use Pearson Education (which costs over 70 dollars) to submit work that counts for 10% of the course grade.
amazing classs with fun atmosphier
This prof makes chem fun! Engaging lectures, fair tests, and great resources like unstuckstudy help you ace the class. Textbook optional - just attend and review concepts.
The lectures are all very vague and will not prepare you for the term assessments. His slides are all just straight out of the textbook and doesn't add anything to help you. Textbook is great on its own so just follow along the textbook as he lists what sections will be needed or not (there are parts he doesn't cover in lectures but need in tests).
The tests were fair and graded fairly, just make sure you know how to do the calculations that are on the slides and you will be fine for the term assessments, I just didn't study enough but its super easy if you studied. Noel George is respectful to all his students and posts all the lecture slides necessary.
Best chem prof for first year. Great at explaining it to different styles of learning, very approachable.
His lectures were pretty detailed, but a few of his term tests were very difficult. The preparation tests and the homework questions that he had didn't really prepare us for one test in particular, and it tanked my grade quite a bit. He does provide skeleton notes though which is nice.
Amazing prof, explained everything with good detail.
Explains the material well, with organized slides and in-class examples. Slides are *not* posted, but filled skeleton notes and (Dr. McWilliam's) recordings are at EOW. Some mandatory (for credit homework), requiring a purchase (Pearson). Additional optional but recommended textbook questions. Has an "EDIA" component requiring D2L discussion posts.
Dr. George is such a great prof and explains the material well. You MUST do the textbook readings and attend some lectures to get good grades, otherwise this course could be hard. If you took gr 12 chem then this is just review. Overall he was very nice and engaging. If you're debating b/w the 3 sciences choose this!!
This prof is great and teaches well. The exams are only hard if you don't study and show up to lectures make sure to put the work into it and you will do well. The prof does as much as he can to help students suceed. The only thing that I find useless is the labs as we barley learn anything during the labs.
Great professor, he made concepts easy to understand coming from someone who hasn't taken chemistry in high-school. Please show up to your lectures to get good grades, also I found doing the textbook questions really helped for the final. He provides skeleton notes which were useful.
george is great. easy to follow during lectures, explains nicely. mastering and textbook questions he posts is great for studying for the exams. exams are fair, really need to study though. the lab portion sucks though, super disorganized and takes up a lot of time; prevented me from getting a A+.
I had him for chy103 and chy113, he's a nice prof but honestly if you wanna succeed in this class STUDY THE TEXTBOOK! his notes aren't good and in chem2 i prefer Dr.C's notes, i barley went to the lectures in both classes and still managed to pass. He's pretty nice tho
Prof need to make the lectures more engaging and fun. It's too boring, just listening to the lecture. I would give a 7 out of 10.
Horrible prof doesn't care about his students, lectures are extremely dry and useless you might aswell skip and teach yourself on mastering chem bc he contributes to nothing
The course structure is amazing. His explanations are fine, but it's best to use other resources to supplement his lectures. Course is a breeze if you study and practice. He's amazing for a first-year prof since he makes everything clear right away. 60$ mastering for 10% sucks though.
Bro does not let u do make ups do be very careful with all the exams
Dr. George was great in the General Chemistry course. He truly wants students to succeed and is happy to answer any questions during the lecture or office hours. There is definitely a lot of studying involved, especially harder for students coming from foreign curriculum or after a longer gap between high school.
He's not a horrible professor. His lectures are VERY boring and majority of the time I fell asleep mid lecture. He teaches content the more advanced way when there are simpler ways to approach problems. If you are near midterm or exam season PLEASE PLEASE take care of urself because he hates granting ACR's even with a doctors note he will deny u.
I read all the reviews before taking this class and now at the end of the semester again. I believe as most students are first years they haven't experienced profs and are used to high school teachers being lenient and are surprised when exams are similar to textbook exercises rather than lecture notes. I found Dr George to be an amazing prof.
Honestly don't get the hype abt George, he doesn't teach well and just speeds thru examples. Found McWilliams to be better, although he can be a bit mean. If you have to choose choose the one with the better schedule and watch McWilliam's recorded lectures instead. No point going to George's class even though he is nice.
great prof, teaches concepts simply as long as you pay attention. if you took chemistry in high school and give the smallest effort to practice from the textbook once in a while, its a very easy A+ with him. his annotated notes are also really helpful, only advice is that his mic is a bit quiet for students at the back making it a bit hard to hear
Provides skeleton notes to follow the lectures. Very concise and well-spoken. Takes the time to answer any questions during and after lectures.
