Professor Rashid is an awesome instructor! Last semester I had a wonderful Algebra teacher, but I couldn't quite get down with his teaching style. Professor Rashid shows many examples during lecture so that when you do your homework, youre prepared. She pretty young but down earth, laid back and makes thing as simple as possible.
She is the best math prof I've ever had. Guys take her and you won't regret it. She is so caring and knows her material:)))))
She's someone you can joke around with, and listens well. She is very open to new ideas, and her lectures are very comprehensive, but not boring. Cool person overall, only gave her a 4 because I dont have many people to compare her against.
She's pretty chill, and her lectures are straightforward. Exams are heavily based on the study guide, which are mostly taken from hw and whatever was went over in class. She knows the material well and goes over the exam in class.
She's actually one of the best professors I've had. She is so caring. She is understanding and will move back homework assignments if you are behind. One thing I love about her is her down to earth personality. She's always willing to help her students and I'm so glad I took her class.
Professor Rashid is the best of the best. Not only is she cute, knowledgable, and hilarious, she is understanding and reasonable. Her teaching style is simple and coherent as she shows all ways you can achieve the final solution. She drops the lowest scored homework assignment and exam. I would take her again for 101B and 101C if she is allowed to.
I took her class which is MATH-188 in FALL 2018. She is the best teacher at Ohlone College. Clear in grading. She makes her class interesting. Easy A. A lot of extra credits. However, there were not many assignments, and quizzes in this class; as long as you do all the assignments, 4 tests, and quizzes, then you would be fine (at least B).
Professor Rashid is a real gem! please do not doubt your ability to pass because she will push you to succeed. Ask questions because she will explain concepts step by step to make sure you understand! YOU WILL SUCCEED you just need to put in the time and serious effort. Definitely top choice. Thank you for believing in me Professor Rashid!
Shes the best math teacher Ive ever had! Her lectures are so clear and she explains everything step by step. Shes very knowledgeable and explains the concept well. Shes super helpful during office hours! I would take her again 100%.
Calc III is a difficult class, but Professor Rashid does a great job at explaining the concepts. She genuinely wanted all of the class to succeed. Not an easy professor, but a great one. Having her is truly an enriching experience for someone who has struggled in Math. Will always be thankful for the positive impact she has had on my learning.
Lectures are helpful and does the problems live (doesn't just read from notes). She's nice and funny which makes class not so boring. If you go to her outside of class she will definitely help and clear things up. She wants you to be able to receive the grade that you want!! (which is kind of rare for math professors at ohlone). Highly recommend.
One of the best professors! It blows my mind how difficult and complicated other professors make the subject. I had taken stats 2 times before I enrolled in Rashid's class. Professor Rashid should be writing the textbook for our STAT course because her lecture notes are amazing! She explains everything so much better than our Textbook!
Do not take her for any reason. Shes a really tough grader and likes to make her tests extremely hard. She doesnt help you pass but leaves you all on your own when it comes to work. She is the worst professor I took for pre-stats and made it very hard. She doesnt care for youre failing her class. Shes so quite and makes it hard for you to pass
She is probably the coolest professor I've ever had. Her lectures are great she teaches the material in a way that pretty much anyone can understand, she makes sure no one is left behind. Her teaching skills are incredible and I actually don't dread going to class!
Very interesting class, the content was a little difficult but Professor Rashid made it easier to understand. She knows how to break down the topics so they're easy to understand. The exams were all very similar to the practice exams she gave out and reviewed. I would definitely take another class with her!
Ms Rashid is a teacher who is passionate about her students passing her class. she doesnt interact with the class much though, but she did offer to drop some grades and provided many opportunities to bump up your grade. she isnt the best at lecturing and explaining equations, so itll take extra effort to understand.
The best math professor I've ever had. I have never been able to pass another math class as easily as this one and I actually have retained the information that I have learned. She is the kindest professor ever with an understanding of student life. the material itself is hard but she is reasonable with tests and grading.
Pretty much dreaded taking this class online. Had to do it for my major and was afraid of math since its been over 5 years since my last class. Professor Rashid is so encouraging and never made me feel bad for asking questions. She is one of the kindest people I've ever met!!
The best decision was taking her class. I have the worst luck when it comes to math and this Professor is hands down the absolute best. She knows her stuff and even gives you her notes to follow along. She really wants to pass every one of her students! If you want a Professor who actually teaches you well and wants you to pass, take her class!
She has truly mastered her craft and knows exactly how to present the material so that it's understandable. She is super nice and approachable. Pay attention and ask questions and you will do well. She gives a lot of practice and reviews that prepare you for all the exams.
I took professor Rashid for Calc 101A and she was amazing! She had really good lectures and before tests she printed out a test review for us. Tests were based on the test review. She also dropped the lowest quiz, homework, and test. Overall she is amazing I wish I could take her for Calc 101B
Im literally so happy I made the decision to take Professor Rashid for Introduction to Statistics for my transfer credits. She is so well organized and overall a great teacher! She provides great PDF and even video lectures on notes for each chapter and her grading criteria is clear! If you work for the grade you want, you will get it!
Online classes can be overwhelming and feel that you cant connect with your professor! But not with Professor Rashid. She is very organized, approachable, professional, and such a hard worker! Answered every email I sent her immediately! Very hands on Professor! For my first time online class I really enjoyed it!
This Statistics online class was a breeze and straightforward. Assignments due every week based off chapter being covered. She offers extension opportunities in case you missed any assignments and responds quickly to emails. I loved her lecture notes and videos. She super nice and understanding!
Professor Rashid is very easy-going and helpful.
Great professor. Always willing to help students. The pace of the class was perfect and there are weekly discussion posts. Listen in class, follow lecture notes, and you can get good grades.
She doesn't really lecture, but rather, show you how to do some homework problems. She does provide lecture videos to watch. She is approachable and makes herself available to help her students. She wants all her students to succeed. You pretty much have to teach yourself though.
Professor Rashid is an amazing professor! If you have things that you are going through and you email her she will push back hw (beware though, she will push back assignments & test if more than half the class ask her to do so) I loved her! You dont really need to attend the zooms since they really just go over her notes and the hw! Recommend her!
theres a lot of homework and you would have to teach yourself for the most part. it was irritating at first but youll get the hand of it. her live lectures consisted of her going over homework problems. you would have to complete at least one homework assignment in the first week or youll get kicked out, learned that the hard way.
Prof. Rashid is an amazing teacher! Statistics at the college level isn't so easy, but she really made sure to make everyone understand what we are learning. With math we usually just solve things, but we never understand what we solve. She was able to explain clearly what we are doing and why. She is there for you and has resources for you!
Such an easy teacher! At the end of the semester, she takes off the lowest quiz and test grade! Also you can do as much homework as you want when its open. She doesnt use canvas, but person instead. I like person because you can take the quizzes 3 times, homework is unlimited and you can have notes for tests. I really like her! Super nice!
Professor Rashid is by far my favorite professor at Ohlone. In my two years of being here I've never felt a professor care, and want her students to succeed more than her. She is very understanding and fair.
This stats class is nothing like I expected it to be. I took the class over the summer so it was very fast paced. Be ready to breeze through 2 chapters each week with 20 questions of homework per chapter with a 10 question quiz for each as well. There is A LOT of tedious work and it's all done on a program which helps. Her lectures are SUPERB!
A friend recommended me to take Professor Rashid for statistics and it was the best decision ever. She is super kind and helpful. Her lectures notes and videos are amazing. The notes and materials are available on canvas to self-study. I attended her office hours regularly because she is so friendly and supportive.
Professor Rashid's online class is laid out perfectly. She is very organized and always there to help and support you 100% throughout her class. She is very approachable despite being an online class. Take her!
I have never been a fan of math and have struggled with math in the past. I was nervous to take Stats, but Professor Rashid made the material very understandable. She gives lots of examples and will gladly clear any confusion that you may have. By far the nicest professor I have ever taken. The first math class I have ever gotten an A in!
This might be my worst experience with a good professor. Don't get me wrong, Professor Noella is a great professor, she understands her lecture and is very kind & caring. However, she doesn't really teach her class, or even at all, she puts you on an online program where you learn it yourself. Her homework's due dates are not displayed on canvas.
Please don't listen to the positive reviews omg. She doesn't actually teach and it's basically an online class where you teach yourself via lecture notes that aren't helpful at all. If you already know stats or how to use stat crunch you could do okay but other than that don't. She is super lenient with extensions though, so there's that I guess.
don't take this teacher, you will have to learn everything by yourself. She doesn't teach anything but gives hw as if she taught you everything. You will have 3 chapter assignments, 3 quizzes, and an exam every month. You will not know your grade until it's on your transcript, she doesn't post grades. I don't know how she has a good rating.
I don't know how she has such good reviews. I did not learn anything in her class, especially since you have to use stat crunch for everything and she doesn't teach you that at all. she gives slides with barely 2 to 3 steps on stat crunch when you have to use it for every problem in different ways. Don't trust these reviews, they're probably fake.
Professor Rashid is one of the most helpful professors I've ever took. She responds to emails right away and is very helpful. She is super nice!! Her test questions are based on the questions usually found on homework and lecture examples. Her online lectures are recorded and easily accessible to re-watch.
I was fortunate to have an incredible number of really fantastic professors through the year, but the nicest was probably Professor Rashid. I was anxious at first because I am not the best at math. However, she created a friendly environment and was always open to answering all my questions. Her lectures are straightforward and easy to understand.
Professor Rashid is my favorite professor at Ohlone! She is very passionate about Math and she cares so much about her students. I had her for Calculus II, which admittedly is a harder subject to grasp, but she made it much easier to understand.
Professor Rashid is very kind and understanding. She is always available to meet and responds to emails right away. Her exams and quizzes are based on the content covered in lectures and homework.
One of the best calculus professors ever! I was a little hesitant at the beginning because it seemed like she was tough. Go to her office hours for extra help and she responds to emails quickly. Grades fairly and she is so kind and understanding.
I took professor Rashid for math 159. The class is mostly done through my math lab which is about $80. You have to teach yourself most of the material and if you aren't skilled in stats like me, it'll be a struggle. She didn't really reach out to me much, even when I was noticeably struggling so if you expect attention, don't take this course LOL.
Professor Rashid is an amazing professor. I was anxious at first because I am not the best at math. However, she created a friendly environment and was always open to answering all my questions during her office hours. Her lectures are straightforward and easy to understand. Her online notes and videos are great!
Honestly one of the best math professors I have ever had. She genuinely wants her students to do well. She is super nice and understanding. She is always available to meet.
This is my second time taking Professor Rashid and I'm so sad she isn't teaching 101B next semester. She is without a doubt the best math professor at Ohlone. She is kind, understanding, gives clear explanations, doesn't mind you asking her multiple questions, and she always answers emails pretty fast.
Professor Rashid helped me so much, going above and beyond to pass the course. She is so caring and she really wants her students to succeed.
I've been lucky enough to have taken Professor Rashid 's Calc II. It was by far the best math class ever!!! I truly appreciate her dedication, patience and kindness.
One of the best professors! it blows my mind how difficult and complicated other professors make the subject. I had taken stats two times before I enrolled in Rashid's class. I thought I was never going to pass, but this professor changed that. She explained the subject well and provided many examples never adding unnecessary steps. Thank you!!!!
Professor Rashid is an amazing professor. All my classmates loved her and she's very popular on campus. She seems tough at first, but she's so sweet. I'm glad I was able to get into her STAT class in 2020. Her lectures are crystal clear, and her tests are fair. Two thumbs up!
One of the nicest professors you'll ever meet. She not only knows her mathematics she also knows how to teach it well. I have to say is one of the best Math professors at Ohlone!
I took her Calc II class during Spring 2020 semester and I miss her so much! Professor Rashid was my favorite :)
I took for 101B and 159 with Professor Rashid. Absolutely amazing teacher, probably the best I've ever had. Explains complex concepts simply, is willing to go over the same problems over and over, and really wants students to learn. Very fair and knowledgeable.
Professor Rashid was very encouraging and kind to me. I think she really believes in her students's abilities and that matters!
Do not take this professor for no live sessions class. Prepare to spend at least 5 hours on a chapter's HW and quiz. Does not teach anything and I have to learn everything by not knowing anything and exam was 30 questions from all chapters and it pulled down my grade.
Don't take her online course for Math 159, she teaches you absolutely nothing. I literally had to outsource and learn how to do everything myself through youtube and be prepared to spend hours on the homework. Every discussion and video quiz was only worth 1% of the total grade. I have no idea how she has good reviews.
All she does is assign work. She doesn't help her students understand anything at all. If you try to email her, she replies, "I don't understand." So you will have to send her a screenshot of whatever you're trying to ask about. She's useless. Also, she only opens her exams for only 24 hours on a weekday.
Professor Rashid is really nice and caring person. She is always available meet with students. Her canvas page is designed very effective. Class is fully online. You must read and understand her lecture notes and watch her videos to be successful. Everything is very straightforward but you really have to put in the work.
It's a tough class specially when it's completely online. Professor Rashid is very helpful. You really have to put in the work and study to pass the class. She provides all the material on canvas and she is available to help you on zoom. Don't hesitate to schedule zoom meeting with her because thats the best way to really get help.
Best professor ever! She is very considerate and cares about her students. She extended assignments and offered extra credit. She is always available to zoom f you need help even during weekends. You can really tell that she is passionate about her job.
Professor Rashid spent countless hours on zoom to help me and other students. She is so caring and helpful. Take her!
I took this class as Ohlone doesn't care that I already took precalc and requested that I take it again. This class was just a lot of homework and test-taking, almost 200 math problems every other week. I had less work in a cyber session class than this one. At the end of the semester, we started learning concepts that were not even precal anymore.
I was not a big fan of this class. The homework, quizzes, and exams are given through the online textbook. Be careful of your answers. There was very little leeway and it affected my grades a lot. Her videos were informative but boring. During Office Hours on Zoom, she did not cut on her camera, which I found odd.
I took Math 159 hybrid class with Professor Rashid at 7:30am. Every class meeting she literately went over every single homework question step by step. This was so helpful. She answers everyones questions and is so patient. I enjoyed her class!
If you do the work, no excuse to not get a good grade. Don't expect great lectures. Course is self-study. All HW/quiz/exams are online. I got an A, but I don't feel like I learned anything so beware if your major/career is stats heavy. Not helpful when asked questions, imo. Hybrid class: attendance "mandatory" for pts, but total waste of time.
Pretty much entirely self taught. She has notes that explain the concepts, as well as example problems. She has lecture videos where she literally reads the notes word for word, so I never watched them. The notes often contained errors, I'm not sure if she made them or just got them from Pearson. I did learn, though, and it was very easy.
Her class was simple, although everything was self-taught. There are videos/lectures but nothing with her teaching. The only downside was having to go in for two exams, which was inconvenient since we could easily do the exams at home like the others. Don't expect to receive thorough emails back, she lacked clear feedback/responses.
Professor Rashid is awesome. I enjoyed her lecture videos and notes. She was like a mentor to me, she goes above and beyond to nurture her students' academic and personal growth. Whether it's offering guidance on assignments, providing career advice, she is a constant source of support and inspiration. I enjoyed her class.
I really love her class. She really nice and her course is really easy. She went thru ur homework with you. She will drop the lowest homework, quiz, and exam for you. I would take her again.
Professor Rashid is awesome! She dropped the lowest exam, quiz, and homework. She responds to emails right away and is always available to talk via zoom. She is incredibly nice!! She offers extension on homework and quizzes. She helped me a lot during her office hours.
Professor Rashid spoke very clearly, and simply, and slowly enough that it was easy to follow along. Her notes are carefully prepared and her canvas page is neat and well-organized. She is very fair and respectful to all students. Basically I never heard a complaint about her, and she made (and still makes) a lot of people love math.
Great professor and great class. Statistics is a really useful field that helps us make sense of data and understand patterns in the world around us.
She is always available to meet on zoom if you need help. She responds to emails right away! Super nice and understanding. She offers extension and drops exams.
Great summer online class! It's straightforward and simple. No textbook is required. She only requires registration for StatCrunch which is $15. Professor Rashid was always available via office hours and zoom.
Easy going professor. Has deadlines that are easy to keep up with and her lecture notes are really handy. She drops exams, quizzes, and a homework at the end of the semester. Would take her class again!!!
Professor Rashid is an excellent Calculus instructor! She explains complex concepts in a clear and accessible way, making sure every student understands the material. Her teaching style is engaging, and she's always willing to provide extra help outside of class.
Professor Rashid is a great instructor! She explains complex concepts clearly and provide helpful examples. Highly recommended for anyone taking calculus!
I'm currently taking Calculus 1 with Professor Rashid, and I can honestly say she's one of the best professors I've had. Her teaching style is engaging and clear. She's also very approachable, always open to answering questions and providing extra help when needed.
I took Calculus I in a hybrid format with Professor Rashid. The class setup was a perfect blend of in-person and online learning which worked very well for me, it gave me the opportunity to learn at my own pace while also having meaningful face-to-face interactions during class.
I took her online Stats course. Each unit had a quiz and homework assignment for each section but they were pretty easy if you take notes of the slideshow and watch her short lecture videos. All of the assignments for the unit were due before the test. Overall not hard if you stay on top of your work and study an average amount.
She is the best Calculus professor I've ever had! Her teaching style is so clear. Overall, I really enjoyed her class and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to take CAL!
TAKE HER, SHE IS SO AMAZING!! Easy pass in this class if you do her homework. Test are so so much easier.
She is my favorite professor at Ohlone College! She's so nice and understanding. Great lectures. I hope she teaches Calc III next semester.
Her lectures are organized, and she's great at breaking down tough topics. She's also really helpful during office hours. Tests are tough, but fair—definitely need to understand the concepts, not just memorize stuff. Homework takes time but helps a lot!
Her tests are open note and are all on WebAssign. Tests are almost exactly like the homework and quizzes so as long as you write everything down and do the work, you'll be fine. I had her for 101A too and this course was more difficult than it, but still very manageable.
Professor Rashid is amazing at teaching Calculus! She breaks down complex concepts into simple steps and always makes sure we understand before moving on.Exams are challenging but very doable if you keep up. She genuinely cares about her students' success!
My Math 101B professor was truly the best, clear, patient, and genuinely invested in her students. She made tough concepts easy to understand and created a supportive, enjoyable class environment. I left the course feeling confident and grateful to have had her as my instructor.
