Don't be too intimidated by Prof Canales - Bio003 is a LOT of material (some of it is tough) but she has a lot of tests and quizzes that help you make up a missed or failing assignment. TALK TO HER OUTSIDE OF CLASS, and STUDY and you will get an A. Her quizzes have most/all of the material on the tests, so keep tabs on your quiz material.

DO NOT take her for PHYSIO!! There is better professors out there! She doesnt explain anything! Each week youre looking to turn in about 12 assignments. (3 quizzes, 3-4 labs, 2 HW) She also makes you buy her book which is $60. Her online HW is heavy and doesnt even help at all. Worst professor ever honestly. HER TESTS ARE HEAVY AND UNFAIR.

This professor gives about 8-10 assignments per week. Textbook homework online along with 2 corresponding quizzes, graded discussion, labs and exams. Work must be submitted timely. 4 exam totals that are proctored and no access to notes multiple choice and essay. One major issue is her graded content is not done timely, you are left wondering.

Never choose this professor because her lecture is heavy and difficult, and each chapter is powerpoint which has hundreds of pages, she copied from her book. When she lectured in the previous recording , she just read the powerpoint and never explained the details. When you emailed her questions about discussion she never gave you feedback.

Do not take her. She gives insane amount of homework, although it's an accelerated 5 week course, she is crazy to think that doing this amount of work is helping us retain any of it. Her tests have essay questions, which are worth half the entire test. She also assigns these Smartbook assignments, that are only worth one point each.

This teacher is so unorganized, she didn't even post a final exam when she said she was. The homework is extremely tiresome she uses a system that makes you do the questions twice, imagine 100 questions and basically doing it 200 times. Only take this class if there is not other option.

Nohelia Canales, is unfit to be considered an instructor not knowledgeable, awful, Not organized. She repeatedly changed deadlines for the homework and assignments and gave 9 homework assignments and daily quizzes. she's there to collect a paycheck. She does the opposite of inspiring any student from wanting to achieve academic success at ELAC.

Hello I am taking this class online and I hate it. The teacher gave out 5-7 assignments on the first day and 10 assignments due on the second day included multiple timed test. I have never had a online class overload me with so much homework. When I saw the second day I had anxiety just looking at the schedule. I do not recommend this class

Absolutely do not take this class. The professor does not respond to messages on time and disappears for weeks at a time only to reappear with a ton of assignments all due on the same date. The only saving grace was the in person lab portion, taught by Dr. Mia Brockop. Sadly, the lab was moved to online and is now as tedious as the lecture.
