She is great...wish I could take her on to more biology classes!!

Through my friend, i took Bio 109 class with Dr Kelly in Spring 2009. I was really enjoy this class with her. I love her method teaching. It was very helpful for all students can understand the lecture.She was very friendly and enthusiast in teaching.To me, Dr Kelly was the best teacher in HVCC.

I had her for Biol 109. She doesn't give any homework. You don't need the book but it could be useful. Dr. Kelly is extreamly nice and helpful. She is also very funny. Attendance is not mandatory but the class is a lot of info so I think you should go. Hard subject kinda great teacher though.

Dr. Kelly is a fair, honest and really great teacher. I am not a science major so the material was very hard but she worked with me and tried very hard to be sure I understood. However, her tests/quizzes are very hard, it's the way she words them. Studying is mandatory to pass, never even opened my book!

Dr.Kelly was by far the best professor I have had so far. She really goes the extra mile to help he students as best she can. The only reason I didn't get an A is because I didn't study too had for 2 tests. If you need Bio109 and you see that she has an opening, grab it! you will be in for one entertaining semester!

The test questions are strait from the power points, labs are fun she also gives some extra credit questions on lab lecture quizzes, but the class is an average difficulty for me ,AnP in general is not an easy class you must study. If I took ap2 I would grab her class again. excellent teacher! o yea she also gave me a spare book to use and keep!

I took her class online, I wish I would have taken it on campus because she's such a great teacher! She's really helpful if you need it. For online there is a lot of work but that part is a easy A. You take 3 out of the 4 module exams in lab and the 1 in on BB. I definitely recommend her as a teacher!

Does she talk a lot ? Yes, it is called lecture or teaching. I am pretty sure that is what they pay her to do! I find her stories funny and it keeps me interested. Of course it is not up to her to entertain me, this is a class I need for nursing and I actually want to learn it. She makes it easy to understand and I love that about her!

Dr. Kelly wants her students to succeed. She provides a lot of study tools and memory cues to help understand the difficult concepts. She is very helpful, but if you need help during office hours it can get a bit challenging as there are often many other students waiting to see her. Her exams aren't overly challenging. I recommend her.

Text books are mandatory. This is not a "slide by" class, you have to work for it. Dr. Kelly is fair and offers some extra credit throughout the course. She does her best to keep you engaged, offers neumonics for memory, and encourages office hours. I loved her class and teaching style. I would absolutely take it again.

Had a really bad first impression with Dr. Kelly in the beginning of the semester. I have found I really like her. She cares a lot about her students, and gives plenty of chances to get extra credit.

She is the by far the best professor ive ever had, she gives COPIOUS amounts of extra credit so much that the extra credit alone is worth a whole letter grade. and she tells us EXACTLY whats going to be on test and sometimes the final if I could give her a 6 out of 5 I would. i would say more but i have no more space.

correction the extra credit is worth 63% of a letter grade lol but thats still really good

I truly love A&P and was so excited to be in Dr. Kelly's class but man, is it a letdown. This class is really hard and it really doesn't have to be. The lecture is strictly PP with little add ins here and there. There is no EC and only 3-4 tests. Homework counts. Make sure your other classes are light enough for you to ONLY focus on A&P.

I really enjoyed her class, I took Bio 109, the labs are mandatory but the class isnt, but I highly recommend going or you wont do well. I learned a lot in her class but you have to pay attention and study. If you show up on time and complete the work she will love you. I would take a class with her again if the opportunity was there.

Dr. Kelly is really down to earth. The course is challenging because the body has many functions, but it is very interesting. There is a lot to remember, but she gives you many mnemonics. Homework is online so you need an access code from the book, but it's easy. Not too many tests, but lab practicals are difficult.

She's very willing to help students after and outside of class, and she genuinely wants her students to learn. It's a tough class, and there's a lot to memorize, but if you show up & study, you should do well.

Dr. Kelly is by far my favorite professor at Hudson Valley. Her power points are lengthy but she puts them on blackboard so you can print and follow along and she gives you mnemonic devices to help you remember the material. She can be tough but it gets you ready for the medical program you want to get too. I love Dr Kelly!

Took this class BEFORE and got an F. Took it with Kelly and got a C with barely any studying or using the textbook. There are a ton of things to know so she always creates fun ways for you to remember. Attended almost every lecture & got nearly 20 points in extra credit just for attending. She's awesome! Take her & study you'll get an A for sure

I had Dr. Kelly for A &P II lab. She was an amazing professor. She is very helpful. She doesn't drop any practical grades but she does double your highest grade. She is very clear on what will and wont be on the practicals. As well as providing multiple extra credit questions.

Dr. Kelly has become one of my favorite professors I've ever taken. Her lectures are entertaining. She makes things that are usually very hard easily understandable. She uses objects to explain things. She gives at least a letter grade worth of extra credit. There is homework but it helps a lot and is an easy grade booster.

Great professor, I really respect her and she is an understanding person on top of that. Biggest warning is that her exams are damn near impossible but she warns you of that. The questions are worded to confuse you to the point you forget everything, I recommend if you want a fair teacher.

Her lectures are on point, she tells you what's on exams as well as a full letter grade in extra credit. she does not like surprising her students! she wants you to succeed and she helps if you put the effort in.

Dr. Kelly really helped develop my growing interest in biology. In the middle of a busy semester, she still kept things interesting. I loved attending her lectures. Her lectures were a clever mix of real-life stories and practical experiences from her career in veterinary science with illustrative diagrams that helped me understand so much more.

I can't lie - It started off rough. I was overwhelmed, nervous, and a bit confused. Professor Kelly showed me she cares not only about a job but genuinely cares. I had a few mid-day panics and honestly, there hasn't been a time I felt judged or that I was being annoying. Class is definitely a challenge, for me, especially being remote.

It's not an easy class, AP2 is hard in general, but her lectures cover the material well and she's very personable. Easily contacted and the work isnt excessive. HW isnt just busy work it's valuable to the tests. And tons of extra credit opportunities. Overall, hard material but excellent instructor.

A&P2 is a tough subject alone, but she made it so much easier and helped take some of the pressure off throughout the semester. She gives tons of chances for extra credit!! And do the homework! Dr. Kelly does a great job of not only teaching the curriculum but also tying it back to why it's important/relevant for individuals pursuing a career in health care. We had significant extra credit opportunities so if you're willing to put in the time/effort, you can get an A. Also, Dr. Kelly is hilarious and fun! 100% recommend.

Dr. Kelly is an amazing professor to take Anatomy with. She outlines exactly what you need to do to pass her class. If you are able to do all extra credit and homework its possible to pass well still not doing great on her lecture exams(which are really hard). Do all the DSM's on mastering for Xcredit. Study only what she tells you is needed!!!

Will do pop-attendance that counts for extra credit so make sure you're in every class. Expect for classes to be cancelled once in a while. Always replied to my emails and was available when I needed her. All lecture exams and quizzes were multiple choice.

The class was well laid out. HW makes up a big % of the grade. My mom is a nurse, she told me that understanding med. term. is crucial. Nursing/med school won't take the time to teach you. Honestly, if you can't be bothered to work hard by yourself and absorb information quickly, how do you think you will succeed in nursing/medical school?

This is a great class. The mini-homework assignments allowed me to understand the medical words and their pronunciations. Each module was filled with so much info and they were all exciting to learn and study. The way the terms aligned with clinical settings and various studies was fascinating. The course is designed well and easy to follow.

This teacher was very comprehensive and a fair grader. I would definitely take a class with her again. She was not very generous on time with the timed tests, but you just have to be extra mindful.

Every time she looked at her students, it was as if you could feel the immense amount of faith she had in us. I have so much more to say, but please choose her.

I took Dr. Kelly for med term this semester online. This course is well organized, with a clear course schedule and fair exams. This is a very time consuming course, but it really develops your understanding of the human body! I've found it all very interesting and ended with a 95 in the course! Study hard consistently and you'll do great!

had her for a hybrid class so im not sure what shes like during lectures. lively and has good energy but i can understand why some people say she has a bad attitude. shes unforgiving for mistakes and is strangely hard to talk, obviously very blunt. will probably be one of the harder classes you take. very intelligent. study study study before tests

The med term course I took with Dr. Kelly this semester online has been super! Although there isn't much interaction, her weekly quizzes, quarterly exams and final exam were all very fair questions that will put your knowledge of the textbook to the test. Great, but difficult course I have learned from! Recommend to any future healthcare worker.

I took biology online over this past summer and boy was it hard. Not only learning the material via my computer screen but content I had never even heard of prior to this class. highly recommend her to other students. She is extremely passionate and thorough, which is especially helpful because this is a different class with a lot of complex material. She offers extra credit in both lecture and lab and is always willing to help.
