Dr. White is awesome. He is probably the only professor i've ever had who actually knew everything about what he was teaching. And if on the off chance that he didn't know, he found out. He may not be easy, but he's fair. And he is extreemly helpful provided that you actually want to learn.

Dr. White is very good. He is very cool also. Take him, he will do anything he can to help you. You will do good in his class, but you will have to want to do good. The quizes are easy if you read the assigned readings.

Great Prof. He gave weekly quizzes that really helped make sure u studied and if you wanted to challange and answer he was really cool and actually thought about it. Would def. recommend him to anyone that was serious about taking the class.

Dr. White is awesome!

I really had to study for this class-know the vocab to do well on tests. But the class is really interesting- i actually wanted to learn the material. Dr. White makes his lectures interesting, he's really reasonable and nice! Online assignments kind of suck at first but you get used to it and it gets alot easier. I highly recommend this class!!!!

Great teacher- he really knows how to get your attention- and his class is awesome! I got the hang of the tests after my first one- and it comes STRAIGHT from quizes in the book- super easy- but I enjoyed the class and learned a lot! Also- it requires a lot of work- but it's well worth it at the end!

had him for physio psych he is a GREAT person i love his class, but for some reason i felt like we never went over the material...idk but if you can teach yourself go for it! and read all the chapters and take all the online quizzes :)

AWESOME TEACHER!!! I had him last semester for Intro to Gen. Psych and he made me want to change my major to Psychology! I'm taking him this semester too for physiological psychology. I think it will be pretty challenging but he is an amazing teacher! PLEASE take! You will love him!

Have to read and study, defiantly not an easy class - requires work. Have mulitple Sylvius quizes on parts of brain, which you get ipods for, and a post-test. Multiple chapter tests & sometimes with essays. Can be intemidating, but really helpful, provides lots of resources & flexible teacher - very intersted in students' opinions. Recommended.

Great guy, good teacher. Very personable and nice. He makes the lectures relatively interesting, but this is NOT where the tests come from. Tests come from the text, but he tells you specifically which parts of the text to study. I never took notes in class, just paid attn. to the lectures and studied independently for the tests. Got an A.

Dr. White was one of my first professors and I could not have got a better one. He is very passionate and experienced about the field. I loved his lectures and found that they helped in understadning the concepts. Learn all the text and tests are ok. MyPsychLab is a pain sometimes though. Teriffic professor in and out of the classroom. I recommend

Hilarious. Dr. White is an extremly dedicated teacher, to his job (all of them), his family and most importantly, his students. Will go out of his way to help in what ever way needed. Tests are moderately difficult,if you read the chapter in detail, you should be fine. If you have any questions, just ask him. He will gladly help. I Reccomend.

Excellent teacher!!! Dr. White is a super nice guy and is very knowledgable. He is always willing to help you out and is usually a very bubbly person in class. I absolutely HATE group work, but he put us into groups in Cognitive Psych and he actually made it fun! I got to where I no longer dreaded the words, "get into groups". Highly recommended!!!

I took him for Cognitive Psychology. He's awesome! He is hilarious and I was laughing everyday in that class. He's so helpful and knows what he's talking about. Just read the chapters, study really well for the tests, do all the small stuff in between, and you'll do fine. I made an A in his class and would definitely take another class of his.

Make no mistake, this class is a lot of work. You have to read a lot and do online quizzes and then in class test. But you learn SOOO much and the class is interesting that it isn't painful to do the reading or studying. I really enjoyed Dr. White and felt that he was one of my favorite and best teachers at GCSU.

This class was overall a good one. However, you should no that he can have little mercy. If you are one point under a letter grade difference he will not care. No make-ups, extra credit, or anything else to help. Without reading the book you will be lost - very little taching takes place.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU HATE GROUP WORK!! hes a very bouncy man. The class wasnt hard, but tests rely heavily on the text. A lot of class participation but very little covered DURING class. Study outside of class and you should be fine. hes a really nice guy, i just couldnt deal with the group work at 8 in the morning. im pretty nuetral...

I thought he was a great teacher. You mostly have to do all of the learning with your textbook (just reinforcement in class) but I made an A. Just read the book and do the online quizzes and review learning objectives for the test and you're good.

Really interesting class. He makes things funny which helps since I had it once a week for 3 hours. Tests were long and comprehensive, but are not too bad. Online quizzes help with grade!

Professor White is awesome! His class isn't a slack class but it won't kill you either. he is very helpful and personable. there are online quizzes every week which are pretty easy. the tests are pretty much straight from the notes. I highly reccomend him!

GREAT TEACHER. This class may be an 8 am, but it is definitely worth it. He is interesting and upbeat so you can stay awake. It is alot of reading, however. As long as you commit to studying for exams a week ahead you should be fine. Alot of work but I got an A and also learned a ton!

This man is awesome. He keeps his class laughing and is knowledgable and passionate about psychology. He is strict, but fair. His class is not an easy A, his tests are pretty hard and long so you need to study. Quizzes are easy as long as you read. I loved having him as a professor!

Dr. White is one of the best professors I've ever had. I had him for a 3 hr class and he still managed to make it interesting. He's funny too. Very approachable and willing to help you. You won't get by in this class without putting effort into it though. He genuinely wants you to pass and if you approach him just once he will learn your name.

I had to work so hard in this class but I truly learned so much more than I have in my other classes. Work load can seem much- three tests and a culmative finals plus a chapter pretest, post test and exam for each chapter and you must read the book. You will also need mypsychlab. Had him for a 3 hr class and still was interested the whole class.

Dr. White is an amazing professor. Very informative and knowledgeable. He wrote the book, so if reading isn't your thing, steer clear. He has an open door policy for office hours and will help with whatever you are struggling with. Come to class and be prepared to participate. Will take again for future courses.

Dr. White is a funny guy, and I like him as a person, but I would not take him again for neuro. This class will give you so much anxiety and the course load is like taking two classes. It's insane the amount of work you have to do. Tests are hard, anatomy of the brain is doable, research paper is SO HARD. White's a cool guy, but not the class.

Comes off as rude and strict in the beginning but ended up being my best professor this semester. Must work really hard to do well in this class but it is very possible to make an A. I came out of this class feeling very educated and knowledgeable on the course I tool. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. White is a great professor and cares about his students' successes. He's respectful towards students and expects that respect in return. A letter grade is taken off if you miss more than 5 classes, so watch out for that. He doesn't cover a large majority of the test material in class, so make sure to read the book if you want an A!

I learned so much in this class! You can tell Noland is very passionate about psychology (he even wrote the textbook). That being said, you have to thoroughly read and keep track with all of the MyPsychLab deadlines. You have chapter exams and an essay due every week (they are time consuming), but once you have the test, the work pays off.

Awesome professor. Very structured and adheres to strict guidelines, but also very approachable and easy to work with. Learned a lot from this man and as long as you follow his directions thoroughly, you'll excel in this class.

Dr. White is an incredible professor. He clearly knows a lot about psychology and he cares about his students. Lectures are interesting, funny, and interactive. I would recommend Dr. White to everyone I know. If you are not dedicated to this class, you WILL have a hard time, because there is a lot of homework, but it pays off to do all the work.

Neuroscience was never going to be an easy class, but I really did love Dr. White. If you want to learn, he is definitely the professor for it. He is firm but very clear on what he expects from his students. The hardest thing about this class is the sheer amount of material you're expected to learn in such a short amount of time. Study hard!

Amazing professor. i learned a lot from him, but for sure isnt an easy A. you have to work for what you get, but other than that his lectures are great and he gives great examples. is willing to work with anyone struggling. NO EXTRA CREDIT!! GO TO CLASS! strict attendance policy, so just go to class i promise hell make it worth your time.

His lectures are not what makes him a great prof. It is all of his homework. Each week you have a chapter to read, take a pre and post test, an online exam and write a short essay over it. It is a ton of work and is easy to give up on but trust me, if you read and focus than you will learn more in this class than all other classes combined.

Dr. White was the best professor I've ever had. He was strict, but very fair. The syllabus is the Bible and obeyed its rules and expected you to as well. He was always there to help. Dr. White was a very interesting and engaging lecturer. He is very respectable but makes you earn every point so don't bother asking him to bump your grades. I loved this course and earned an A but if you aren't willing to work hard I don't suggest taking him because you can not squeeze by without really studying.

At the beginning of the semester I didn't think I would like him. As the semester progressed I really started to like him. He is a tough professor all the way around, but I respected him for it. He always responded to my emails in an appropriate amount of time. You have to work really hard, but a good grade is achievable.

Comes off as a tough guy on day one (and is still a serious professor for the whole semester) but is a great educator. Hes got a great personality and loves teaching. If you push yourself through the first few classes and commit to the homework, then you should get an A or B

Dr. White is an awesome professor for psych majors. If you dont care or arent interested in the topic, this isnt the class for you. He is engaging, funny, and strict, but he overall is an amazing educator. If you pay attention and work hard, you will have a great foundation level of psychology. Dr. White is one of my favorite professors! His class was 3 hours long and mostly lecture but he found ways to make the material super interesting. He is very intimidating at first but stick with him because it is definitely worth it especially if you are a psych major. Be prepared to work hard if you want to do well

Dr. White is really smart and teaches a pretty captivating class. He runs a pretty tight ship, but it's interesting and discussions and examples given in class really help you understand the material. You pretty much have homework every night and you better be in class on time every time, otherwise, he's a pretty great professor.

Professor White has been fantastic. His lectures are engaging and relevant. He tried to make sure we make personal connections to the material, and it is obvious that he knows the material. He has a lot of rules and a lot of work, but it is all for good reasons. He wants his students to be successful in the course and really absorb the material.

But once you've gone to a lot of classes, he simply is hard on you to make you succeed in this class. He does not offer extra credit, but when he does, take it! Dr. White is SUCH a good teacher. I actually had him for Psyc 1101 and purposely took him again because I enjoyed the class so much. He will make you work for your grade, but there are extra credit opportunities. I got a C in the class because I skipped too many classes. I would have made a high B otherwise. So don't skip class.

A lot of people think Dr. White is too strict or mean, but honestly I think he's a great professor. Yes the class is hard if you don't try, and yes you have to read on your own. But as long as you show up to class and get all the assignments done, it's totally fine. He wants you to succeed but will make you earn your grade. Lots of work though.

This class was amazing! Dr. White has a reputation at GC, but wow, he was the kindest, caring, and funnest man ever. I really loved how he did not just read off slides, but let us have intellectual conversations over the material we read before coming to class. Exams are really easy! Overall, I loved this class. I wish I could have it again.

Probably my favorite teacher at GCSU. Many of the reviews bash him and say he is a bad teacher--it can be difficult at times, yes, but he truly wants you to succeed and learn the information. If you do not have a passion for psychology or you are looking for an easy A without putting the work in, then maybe he isn't the professor for you.

Online quizzes and textbook. Mandatory attendance. Use the Pearson flashcards game, write good notes in class. No electronics, but it was helpful. Pay attention in class. In class paper tests, he will reuse questions from past quizzes and tests. Very interesting class and he is so funny; in class assignments and group worksheets, he assigns groups.

Didn't get a good first impression (he just seemed strict and intimidating) but over time I realized how good of a teacher he is. He holds you accountable and he's very direct but he can make his long lectures actually interesting and interacting (I had an 8am!). The class itself is a lot of material to learn. HAS GOOD INTERNSHIP CONNECTIONS!

Dr. White is an incredible professor that is very passionate about his job. He knows the material like the back of his hand and his lectures are extremely helpful. Attendance is mandatory, and there is no device usage, but it is so helpful to listen to his lectures that this doesn't even matter.

Honestly was scared the first week. He seemed very strict but as time went on he became really funny and a great professor. He's very understanding and will help as long as you reach out. Dr. White is a really great teacher. He is very patient with students and gives them many opportunities to learn the material. There is a quiz every week or so but they are not hard. He's fair, understanding, and holds students accountable. He doesn't give handouts or easy grades. Stop expecting college to be easy and blaming the professor for your own faults.

I highly recommend this professor. While there is 4 essays and 4 exams, he prepares his students for every single one of them. By the second week he will know your name and is very eager to help you succeed. The textbook he requires isn't too expensive and the clicker he requires is also cheap and a fun way to learn the material.

great teacher, great lectures. bad ratings are from students who don't want to try. there is lots of homework, but it really does help when it comes to exams. he's strict on his expectations but for good reason. personally learned a lot from his class. he wants you to really learn and not just “get by.”
