the best ever!!!

Definitely one of the most intriguing and helpful teachers I've ever had. If I could, I would take as many classes with him as possible.

He is such a good teacher he will help you with anything he needs and we have NO tests in there and ONLY have to write three papers the whole semester!!

He is one of the most interesting teachers I have ever had here. He really knows what he's talking about. (Don't doubt him, he will let you know he's right.) He's a hard grader, but once you understand what he wants, you'll be fine.

Dr. Austin is hilarious. Everything is always about sex. It relates well to college aged people and he is totally sexy.

dr austin is a really great teacher. i've never had anyone like him. he makes learning fun, even if we do have to read a 400 page book in less than two weeks. and he's really cute too, so that's always a plus in coming to class!!!!

Great professor, interesting class. Still new enough to care, and will call you on your stuff. Does a GREAT Michael Jackson impression. Very funny, likes to argue, but in a good way. Very sure of himself. HARD grader, but will help you bring it up.

Awesome teacher. Hard grader sometimes...very critical but really really prepares you for future writing classes. We only had 3 essays and one was a group paper...totally take him!! Im taking his 132 class...money well spent you get alot out of it.

A great Teacher! Helps you alot. Makes sure you know the stuff. May grade essays on the harder side but is very clear about why. Take him if at all possible! i know i am again for 132

Fun to watch. He can't sit still for more than a minute. Does grammar count??? BOY DOES IT EVER HARD HARD HARD HARD GRADER, but good teacher. Really funny I couldn't stop laughing. Oh yeah and did I mention he grades really HARD?

he is alot of fun.. we do alot of class discussions he grades hard but honestly it will improve your writing he is a funny teacher we mainly laugh and do one assignment per class.. very easy!!!

dr.austin is just as cool as he is helpful.he teaches his class in a very laid-back way.if you like less structure and more liveliness he's the one for you

I LOVE this man! He is the most increadible English teacher I've ever had, not to mention he's pretty damn hott. Take him unless you like the boring hum-drum professors who don't take the time to get to know their students.

Dr. Austin is a great teacher! he will not feed you bull****, its all pretty clear from the beginning of the year what he expects out of you, so if you follow these guidelines and turn in your papers, you'll do fine. class kicks ass!

Hes really funny. Talks about the 80's and 90's with students because hes still really young. Wants everything perfect in your papers though. He seriously will fail you if its not. You will have to spend a lot of time writting each paper.Expect a C maybe

This teacher is badass! We never really did anything in class but socialize. He tries to scare you in the beginning, but don't take him seriously! He is so funny and hot! Definetly take him! He may grade a little hard but I got a B in his class!

awesome professor. very funny. class is very interesting and fun. you just sit there and talk the whole time. he jokes around and can relate to the students. he grades papers very hard so make sure you work hard. not too hard to get a B if you work at it.

He is the one prof that really impacted my college career. He cares about each student's success in the classroom and in life. He grades difficultly, but he tells you that from the start. And he does a badass Michael Jackson impression!!!

He is THE BEST prof anyone could ask for! He is funny, smart, and makes you learn while you are enjoying English!! He is terrific and I highly recommend him to all!

Awsome English Prof. Has acute ADD that only enhances his teaching style, which is jumping on your desk and basically scaring all the other professors back to their offices while he expounds Coleridge and Depeche Mode. Grades tough, teaches great.

TAKE HIM IN THE SUMMER. Brit Lit was a complete breeze. He is hilarious and doesnt bore his students. Talks on the students level. I got an EASY A. I've taken him 3 times. He's a BADASS!!

This teacher is by far the best teacher. He does his very best to make class just as enjoyable as u will let him make it be. He does grade strickly---not the same as hard--- IF you follow his rules on formating then u have nothing to worry about.

AMAZING! He is so funny and his class is great. It is impossible to fall asleep in his class and you will enjoy going. I didnt skip once! I'm a C student, but I made an A in his class. He cares about teaching and his students.

He is the best professor at SFA because he can relate to the students. I am a B/C student but I made an A in his class. He grades to perfection but follow his grading rubic and you will pass.Oh and he is cute too.

TAKE ANY CLASS THAT HE IS TEACHING, HE IS THE BEST TEACHER THAT I HAVE HAD SO FAR. HE MAKES CLASS REALLY INTERESTING B/C OF HIS ACUTE ADD. REALLY COOL AND RELATES TO HIS STUDENTS. NOT BAD EYE CANDY EITHER.

HE makes this class very fun. Being absent is like not sex for a week. It was really good and I learned a lot from it.

Dr. Austin s sooooo awsome!!! His class is hard and you really have to follow the guidlines for you paper, but he helps you alot!! He even goes to the Kappa Alpha Psi parties!!

Dr. Austin is in my opinion the best professor at the school. His teaching style is different than others but it is the best I have ever seen. He is always helpful and very down to earth. He might grade hard, but if you ask for help, you will get A's and B's. Would definately recommend!!!

Best professor I have had so far. Very uncensored and down to earth type of guy. He gets on the students level and makes English fun. You will enjoy his class if you take him. Probably the best teacher at SFA, and truly cares about his students and wants them to pass.

This professor was awesome! He was a hard grader but as long as you work on the papers and ask him for his opinion you should do fine. He's a fun professor and I had fun watching the Family Guy episodes in his class!

Great Teacher

Is a good teacher. Just b/c he is Greek doesn't mean that he will pass his frat brothers or other greeks. You have to work for your grade. All you have to do is pay attention and you will pass his class. You should take him if possible.

Hard grader!!! but so entertaining. A's are rare..B's are more common. Think before taking. You will work very hard and love him 4 it.

He is an awesome teacher! I would say that he is definitely the best among the rest. Don't expect an easy A, you really have to work for one in this class. He doesn't take crappy papers so for all you freshman who are used to writing crap, don't take him. But if you're passionate, take him.

A very good English teacher. He knows what he is talking about. Just take time on your papers and put a lot of work into them and you will not have any trouble with his class.

Hey man this class is too much fun. It really intrigues your mind! Even though it was only one credit, it will now be 3. He is too cool, and he cute too! But please believe he takes his subjects very serious, so cut your cell phones off or he will get you!

This class was so enlightening. Dr. Austin really challenges you to think and open you eyes in new ways. This class is not for the easily offended b/c he encourages everyone to say absolutely anything. He's a tough grader, and don't look to any of his classes as a blow off. But you will be a better student when you make it through.

He really grades papers hard and the class was demanding. Good teacher, though.

Awesome prof. Pushes students to analyze and think on their own. Encourages differing opinions, if backed up with the text. You will learn about YA lit, but you will also learn more about yourself and life. Would recommend this class and prof to anyone

I loved this teacher! He is passionate about literature and makes it fun to learn. I hated literature and now that I have had him as a teacher, I love it. He makes sure his students understands the material and go back over it if he needs to. I would recommend this teacher to any student. You don't write papers in his class only short essay on test

He is a pretty good professor! He can get annoying at times b/c he repeats the same thing over & over, but he is just trying to make sure everyone understands. He wants to make sure you succeed in his class & that you know how to write. I would advise him to anyone! I made a B in his class. Also, he doesn't believe in wasting money on books!

Dr. Austin is the most mind-stimulating, interesting, hilarious, inspirational professor I had at SFA thus far! Looked forward to going to class, it was literally a SHOW! I learned so much from him and was encouraged to pursue my PHD in English. He is very helpful and challenged my writing. Read the book, go to the arrc and you will be fine!!

Intelligent, hard-working professor who cares about his students. He sets up his course for student success. All you have to do is show up, pay attention, and do a moderate amount of studying. Plus, every class is a show. He is hilarious!

He says his upper level classes are a bit more difficult but this class was amazing. I was upset that I had to end the semester or miss his class because I knew I as going to miss something funny.

This class is super entertaining. Dr. Austin makes the material easy to understand and fun! He grades tough on the essay question on the tests making it difficult to get an A in the class. If you want an A I recommend you take someone else. He said he usually only ends up giving 1 or 2 A's per class because he grades so tough. But the class is fun.

He makes you work for it. His grading is difficult; however, I did learn alot from him. Though he is tough, I recommend him to other students. He also has a funny sense of humor.

Loved having him! He truly made the experience enjoyable!
