Anyone who complains about her obviously never spoke to her personally or attended class. Attendance is mandatory but she is an amazing lady and very open-minded and diverse.

This woman makes paint drying feel exciting. If you can handle the mind-numbing lectures you will be fine. The course on the whole is VERY easy.

How can anyone insult this lady? She is a wonderful person...Sometimes the lectures get a little dry, but she is very sweet, caring, and understanding.

nothing she talks about in class has to do with the tests, but she makes that kinda clear. As long as you read from the book you will do fine, they outline what you need to read from the book. Do the writes and do decent on the tests and you'll be fine.

Just reading the comments some made and have to say that for those who think Bailey is a waste of money, wait til you get into some of your teaching classes later...then you'll find some teachers to complain about. Bailey is pretty great.

Easiest class in the world

I read comments, and she tells it how it REALLY is in the classroom. If you find her boring, dull or whatever then get another major becuase Norma is awesome and she teaches A LOT about education!!!!

Really good professor. But look out, when she tells you she won't put nit-picky facts on the test and you only need to know concepts, just know that her definition of concepts involves nit-picky facts and numbers. Read the book. Alot.

The tests are pretty hard, and you have a lot of writing to do, but overall, it's a good class. Excellent for someone who wants to go into teaching. You learn a lot. She's a little weird at times, but she's a good teacher.

Norma is awesome. The tests are hard but they dont matter. I got a D on every test and my grade was so high at the end i didnt even have to take the final exam which was just a paper on our class experience. Easiest A i have ever got.

Norma is full of energy and is extremely helpful. She treats you with respect, and the class is easy. As long as you do the assignments, you don't even have to worry about the tests.

easiest class at CMU. As long as you turn in all your papers you're all set. you can even bomb the tests and still get an A even though she curves them all! very helpful.

Excellent teacher, she focuses on the students, her enthusiasm is a constant reminder of what a teacher should be like. She is really passionate, the class is easy too, just do the writes, and you will pass the class, show up too, attendance counts.

I love this class! It is soooo much fun! Make sure you do the writes go to class there is not much to them. You learn a lot helps to you deside whether to be a teacher or not. She is always so excited to be in class! All the other teachers are too.

norma is definately the most energetic professor i've ever had. she's a great teacher, and tries to get some 1 on 1 with as many students as she can. writing about diversity will score you some extra points.

Very Interesting class. I would suggest not taking it at 8am. 20% of the time they would complain about people sleeping. Be sure to go, even if you just sit there, they take attendance! Easy points

This class is so easy! Especially since they cut the testing center during budget cuts, because now there are no tests or quizzes. Just go to class and write the papers - it's that simple!

Easy class! Attendance counts and the writes are easy also. Extra credit writes are given too. Go to class and do the work and you will get an A. No tests or quizzes so your grade is only on writes, other papers and attendance!!!

What an easy A!! Go to class (attendence counts) but then u can sleep through it and still get an A. Make sure to do all of the papers and turn them in on time.

Yes this is a very easy class. Norma is a very enthusiastic teacher and loves what she does. She makes it interesting. She is helpful and a kind person, if you are polite to her. If you ever walk in late and you have to go by her, just say "sorry." Lol, trust me on this one.

SO knowledgeable about middle school concept. Always cheerful & makes class fun, even though we're there for 3 hrs. Her projects & papers are all designed to challenge you to THINK about the world & learn from it. I've learned more from 1 semester w/ her than from all of teacher education. Most amazing prof at CMU. If you are going into education she will make you consider a minor in Middle Level. Very enthusiastic. Loves her job and students.

Norma is by far the best professor at Central. If you're interested in Middle Level education, go talk to her. She has such a ridiculous amount of knowledge on adolescents and wants to make you the best teacher possible. Also, if you want a classroom full of close friends, sign an MLE minor.

Norma was my professor almost 10 years ago and I still remember how much she inspired me to be a middle school teacher. She is such an incredible and fascinating woman and teacher.

Norma has got to be one of the best professors at CMU. She is so much fun and so enthusiastic about education and young adolescents. I loved going to her class. She doesn't believe in strict grades, deadlines or exams. She makes her classes fun but you learn a LOT at the same time. I can't wait to have more classes with her.

Absolutely amazing professor. She's so kind, listens to her students and is so understanding. As long as you go to class and do the work, you'll easily get an A. She just wants you to try and is not worried if you miss a couple classes or are late turning in a couple assignments. So passionate about education.
