She is a wonderful teacher. She helped me out a lot with the death of my grandma, and she is very caring. Plus the personal stories she tells during class are extremely interesting! I think that she is a very special person. Take her classes if u ever get a chance...she's wonderful!

She is a GREAT teacher! Health can be such a boring class, but deffinitely not with her! The only thing i don't like is how she promises to show us some videos or slides and then never mentions it again; SO DISAPPOINTING! lol BUT I LOVE HER! DEFF. TAKE HER IF YOU GET THE CHANCE! VERY INTERESTING

I took her classes over 7 years ago. If she taught anything in the graduate level, I'd take her again. Her classes helped me trace my family tree (health) and cope with loss.

Great Prof!I loved her.I recommened her for any classes that she teaches in kean university.You will definetly learn more than you think.She is also very helpful.Tests are basically from her homework.You have to show up in class & be regular in submitting your papers.There would be 2 exams.Both easy

Great teacher.. she gives a lot of work but its all easy and she keeps you interested. The mid-term and final come directly from the homework she gives.

TAKE HER!!! Best ever, gives homework & takes attendance & if you study for her tests you will be fine. Knows her information VERY WELL! kind, caring, and dont hestitate to ask for help. Her 3 hour classes go by rather fast. Take her for anything that she teaches it will DEFINITLY be worth it!!

Certanly has all characteristics of a good college Professor. She focuses on teaching and giveing students the knoweldge they need. Very friendly but firm, very understanding. Makes it easier for learning and passing.

Communiy Mental Health! What a woman! This is by far the best teacher you will ever see at Kean. Take her class!! She gives you a lot of work but its all do-able! But if you are looking for an Ez A it wont be here, she makes you work for your grade but you get so much out of the class you dont even think about the work! She is amazing!!!!

I have taken her for two other classes (health and death and perspective) Ill just say that her other classes were a lot easier! The assignments that she gives us are not really hard, but she does not do a lot of explaining, so you have to google everything. but overall, I like her.

I took her class 2 years ago and still have found memories from it,as a current Rutgers Grad student! SHE IS THE BEST. Take her class and you will:laugh, cry, but, most of all LEARN AND NEVER FORGET THE EXPERIENCE! Thank you Dr.Bowe-you are the best!!!!!!!

Great women....knows EVERYTHING...class is sooo easy exam are your homework questions...sooo easy never stay the full class if its the 3 hour class... just a really nice caring women would highly recommend her

She's an amazing professor. You will learn alot from her. Very caring lady. If you email her you will get a respond a few hours later. If you get the opportunity to take the class do so. I loved that class never missed a class of her's before.

Dr. Bowe is AMAZING! She is such a breath of fresh air! Prison trips were the BEST! She genuinely cares about her students. She also has a short fuse for stupidity and nievity, but 95% of our class did as well. I didn't want to leave class on the last day.. I love Dr. Bowe!

If you haven't had the pleasure of taking Dr. Bowe then you should consider yourself unfortunate. She is the best professor at Kean and is incredibly knowledgable about every subject she teachs. Truly cares about her students and has a passion for teaching. Don't get me wrong, you need to work for that A but it's well worth it in the end. TAKE HER!

One of the greatest teachers i have ever had. She is always willing to help out with anything, life problems and school problems. Just go to class and have an open mind and this class will go so fast you wont even notice. Her test are straight to the point.. I strongly recommend her. BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been at Kean for longer than I would like to admit, and Dr. Bowe and Death in Perspective has been BY FAR the best class that I have ever taken. I could say a million things about why you should take her. If you have the chance, absolutely take Dr. Bowe!

She is in the top three professors in this University... She will open your mind outside of the box to places you've never been with trips to Psych Hospitals && Northern State Prison. I genuinely love her && I wish she taught more courses in my field... Take her any chance you get <3

This is the best teacher I have ever had. She cares about every student and knows her stuff. The trips were grade. She gives an assignment every class but there were the most useful assignments I have ever done. If you are lucky enough to take her, do it. She's the best.

Dr. Bowe is an AMAZING professor. I had her for Death in Perspective. I loved that class. Dr. Bowe sets up field trips to a funeral home, cemetery, northern state prison, hospice center, and medical examiners office. She uses these to teach and every class I learned something. I am now majoring in funeral service because of how much I loved it.

Dr. Bowe is such an inspirational and caring person who has changed the lives of numerous people. Taking both of her courses community mental health and death in perspective has opened my ideals and perspectives on life, along with everything we take for granted. She does things out of the kindness of her heart and she's changed my life. Thanks!

She is NOT your typical professor. She is AMAZING in every way. Very informative about her lecture topics and she loves hands on experience instead of lecture, notes and tests. (trips are part of the class) but they are so worth it.

This woman is absolutely amazing. Out of all four years that I have attended Kean University, she has been one of my favorites. She's so inspirational and genuinely cares about all of her students! On top of that, she is so smart and inspirational and teaches the material in a way that you will be interested in learning it, and remember it.

She is a hidden gem

By far one of the best classes I've ever taken. Dr. Bowe awakened something in me. I have such an itch for social work now and have never been more compassionate when it comes to the homeless. She changed the way I saw mental illness and really opened your eyes to how it impacts communities. Can't wait to take her again!

Professor Bowe is incredible! She had a big heart and it shines right through her lectures and in class activities. You would have to try hard to fail her class. At the end of this class, you will be new and improved version of yourself.

I took Dr. Bowe for the first time for mental health and allow me to advise you that it was amazing. Dr. Bowe is a great professor and opens your mind up to a world that we are reluctant to speak upon or rather ignore. The dialogue that occurs in her classroom is amazing. Actually, a college course that you leave with knowledge and apply to life.

Dr. Bowe is an amazing caring professor to have. blessing to have during covid 19 pandemic. drug /abuse class was great great guess speakers very few assignments easy grader, mid term and final was open book. I am taking her more classes next semester .

Dr. Bowe is by far the greatest, she really does care about her students and the things she teaches, she does so much for the community with the homeless and poverty, she really does make you think about the different types of mental illnesses and relates that to her background as a nurse 100000% recommend this course to everyone.

Class is mainly just discussions, its like a therapy session. If she picks on you, you have to share and you cant get out of it.

Wonderful professor, fun trips and the lectures are very interesting. Very caring and some to talk to you if need. Best teacher I've had so far. Be ready to cry if you're sentimental though (but in a good way trust me). Get on the waitlist early if you really want or need to take the class! 10/10

Dr. Bowe is such a fantastic character. She is caring and understanding regardless of who you are and your background. She treats every human being as equals and exhibits lots and lots of love. We had very educational field trips to the cemetery, funeral home, and senior home. Tests are take-home and she gives a lot of extra credit. 10/10

Best Professor ever. Cass was different and engaging every time. You take real-world field trips and she does her best to make death as interesting as possible. Sweetest and most caring person ever. You must take her at some point before graduating.

Prof. Bowe's class is engaging, thought-provoking, and eye-opening. She challenges you to think deeply about mental health and social issues. Utilize resources like unstuck study alongside the textbook for a seamless learning experience.

Dr. Bowe is amazing and truly caring. I enjoyed DIP class, but it wasn't what I expected. If you're sensitive about the topic or don't like opening up (you will be forced to), I don't recommend it. I didn't learn much or feel better about death. Many awkward silences followed trauma sharing, which felt uncomfortable.

I loveeeeee Dr. Bowe!! She is amazing and so super caring. Love the group work and field trips she really wants to see all her students succeed.
