I was an "A" student and English major before taking this class. She often loses homework, or returns assignments WITH A GRADE and claims to have never received them. Her demands are frequently unclear and she often changes requirements for assignments at the last minute. She made me so unfathomably miserable, I changed my major.

This teacher deviated from the core curriculum so many times...I nearly forgot that we were learning history. She kept bringing up current events rather than focusing on the subject at hand, and her tests were the most contrived and convoluted mazes that I have ever navigated in my life. The teacher is so bad run the other way if you get her. She would make me so mad I swear she gave me stomach problems. She was tardy more than most students and still lashed out on people if came late. She picked favorites. For a FINAL presentation she counted off for MY APPERANCE SAYING "JEANS ARE TO BAGGY, 4 PRESENTION" ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

1st day you walk in she lectures from the preface of your lit book throughout the whole sem she lectured on how to turn in term paper and the format which she expected her class was a bad experience and i would not recommend it to anyone she expects you to have corrections on your roughdraft as if you were an eng prof yourself

This teacher is the worst teacher ever,She dont enven know what she wants from her students.she's not following her own syllabus and what ever you write in the exercise book there is still things incomplete, eventhough some chapters are not included,what i mean is you'll never be done.She expects her students to know as much she knows.

was led to believe I was off to a good start on a paper. The paper was reviewed by her and errors to fix were given. I fixed all errors and still my paper was given an F. Keep in mind when I dropped I had a 53 and was 6th in a class of 30.

i say that u should never take his woman's class because it will be a waste of time. if u were a great writer in any other english class, then you shouldn't expect to learn in this one. the material is remedial at best and she will never explain what to do. no matter how great you are at writing, your skills will NEVER be utilized in this class!!!

She has a huge speech impediment and sounds like shes deaf. She makes long ridiculous assignments and nit picks at everything you do wrong. counts off for the dumbest stuff. DO NOT TAKE HER EVER! I dropped her a month into the class and i was 1 of 3 left.

Dispite what people had told me I decided to take her class and it was a BIG mistake. She talks and talks but says nothing. She may be a nice person but that has nothing to do with the way she teaches, she's just horrible at it. So if they every tell you not to take her class DONT.

Cruz-Gonzales is a tough professor. She is very disorganized, and forgetful. She never goes by the calendar or syllabus that she gave the class, on a daily basis things change. Very difficult to understand and not very helpful with questions a student might have on an essay or assignment.

Her speech is fine i can understand her but i cannot understand her as a teacher, I know his is the second level but she's grades her students like we're authors. She has no like not feelings at all she yelled at a student for being in the hospital for family ( I'm guessing) we did a presentation on poetry in groups and she paid no attention to us.

Child.lit class. WORST professor I have EVER had. She does not follow a syllabus, VERY UNCLEAR on when things are due. Gives a large amount of useless homework which consists of over 100 pointless questions per chap. in the textbook. takes a good 3-4hrs to complete. She looses work constantly, expecting the student to do the work all over again.

This class was a waste of money&time. She has her favorite students, grades are very biased. Her grading style is ridiculous,unclear and inaccurate. Has no justification on why she gives out certain grades. A student can turn in a paper two times in a row and she will have no clue because she is SO unorganized and confused about what exactly is going on in class. The SAME paper will prove to receive two completely different grades. Demonstrates her dispersion of grades is random and so unfair.

oh man, this teacher is just bad, but she has 10 year, so shes not going anywhere. I havent had such an unorganized class since 1st grade, and she is not clear at all. Horrible class! She is very unclear on her directions for assignments. She thinks our lives revolve around her class by piling on work everyday that most of our class had no clue about.

Her teaching structure is completely out of whack, the class is scattered all over the place. It seems her mind is a million places at once. This is by far the most stressful class i have taken so far, Upon mid term grades its clear to see there is a problem with the teacher when 90% of the class is failing a basic English course.

This professor was the worst! She is unclear about what she expects from students. Don't bother asking her to clarify an assignment either, you will only be left more confused. One day she came in demanding we turn in a paper that wasn't supposed to be due until the following class. She returned one of my papers with a giant coffee stain as well.

i literally fall asleep almost everyday in her class even after drinking a red bull, shes very hard to understand and isnt clear on what she needs and when she needs them, alot of the work seems unneccesary i feel like thic class isnt very hard but with her teaching it it becomes hard

Confusing and she gets off topic too much she is a very tough grader expect a low grade on essays that you spent time on SMH if you write an high page essay the best grade you will get is a low grade ex a 70

BE ADVISED I REPEAT DO NOT, DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. Your GPA WILL drop significantly even if you do all your work correctly, if you try she will critique every mistake you have made. She is a nice lady at heart but I think its time for her to retire. Shes an older lady who has trouble speaking clearly and she can barely hear her students. Her classes are confusing and stressful, not because the material is hard, but because she does a horrible job with explaining the many many papers that are due. Overall just very bad.

As a former instructor myself, her teaching methods are very poor. It may be time for Norma to retire.
