extremly boring monotone professor. do not take his class you will want to shoot yourself by the end of class. if your are so unfortunate to have him i suggest dropping his class immediatly.

He is very boring! Very difficult to past his test.He actually has a big t.v. screen in front of the class. I fell asllep in his class a few times. Don't take it!

Monotone voice, classes spent staring at tv screen, non stop lecturing, holds every class til last possible minute, uncessassary complication of questions on tests, very little hw, do not need to participate in class...good for study hall or sleeping

Old and VERY BORING. His lectures rarly had any relevance, he relies too much on the internet, the reading and reviews on the internet are everything that is covered on the test. Try to avoid but if necessary it's not too bad, do the report and online stuff and remember his biases for the tests.

This guy killed my enthusiasm for history with boring lectures. He gave us review sheets that had nothing to do with the tests and denied it when the class called him out on it. We had a full class at the beginning of the semester. With 3 weeks left we had maybe 5-7 kids left. History is my strongpoint, but I struggled in this class. STAY AWAY!!!!

very dry and unaware of how boring he is. he will sit in the chair and talk the entire time without showing emotion. often he will keep talking after class is supposed to end. very hard tests. this will be the most boring class you ever take. he is a dumb man and makes you do alot of internet work. drop him asap,ull thank me later

Do not take this class! he is extremely boring. all of his tests are online, the material doesnt seem to come from anywhere. i had to transfer into this class. the head of the department even said i wouldn't like the teacher. theres something seriously wrong when even he knows the teacher sucks.

Well all his tests are online so looking up the answers arent very difficult if u understand how to comprehend history questions. You get 3 extra points on average if u have perfect attendance. The hardest thing about this class was sitting through class =.= its pretty brutal but i slept the whole time and still got perfect attendance.

If you want to pass the tests, read the text book. You won't learn anything from his rambling. Attend every class though, 'cause it doesn't matter how you do in the class and if you do every assignment, he will still fail you if you're over the limit of absences. I don't recommend.

He knows his history so well, cause he was actually there. Don't take any class hes teaching. It will be the worst one of the worst academic decisions you'll ever make. Words cannot describe how miserable I feel about his class.

Im a history major and i couldn't stay awake in his class he has the most boring voice and if you present him with historical fact in a paper he will say its wrong because he doesn't agree with it. DO NOT take his class if u are bad at history only take it if you want a good nap cause that is what i did every day.

The tests are ridiculous because almost nothing he rambles about is on them. Make sure you read the website. Thats where the test questions come from.

It will take an active god to pass this class. don't bother getting a text book because what he says goes. he writes history as the class goes on. And he also controls what time the class ends.

He looks like Clint Eastwood, but he's a horrible teacher. If you can take notes on what he says and pay attention every day, you can pass the class easily. Don't count on the textbook for tests, because his opinion is all that matters on them. If he doesn't finish a topic before the test goes live, don't expect him to finish it.

I took him back in like 2007 or 2008 and he made the class seem like it was forever. He did most of his stuff online.

This professor shows no interest in teaching the course whatsoever. He can not hold the interest of his class and there are no hand-outs. Prof West just drones on and on for what seems like hours and hours and you get absolutely nothing when all is said and done. History is my best subject, and always has been. Very disappointed.

AWFUL! Boring, makes me hate my favorite subject. Has an irrational anti laptop rule, you can't even use them to take notes! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Professor West doesn't help at all if you need help. His class is the best time to take a nap. His quizzes are online and are very hard and confusing questions and the answers are very hard to find. The questions are also supposed to be answered in his opinion not on the facts. Try and avoid at all costs.

Took his in classroom class and feels like an online class. Everything in class is irreverent to online tests and I failed every test. The two papers I barely passed. Terrible and incredibly boring.

Im an honor student&failed both of his test but got an A- on the book report. I read the text&researched online for answers on test and have no idea where he came up with his. Lectures have nothing to do with the text or test. printed out his review test questions only eight of 30 were on it. I sat front and center still struggled to hear him.

he's a really sweet man. tests online &encourages you look up answers. 2 book summaries. However, the classes are dull. He takes 10 minutes to take attendance through excel; calculating attendance points +/- from your grade. He breezes through heavy topics with the gist of an overheard conversation. if you care, take with a different professor.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. He is actually so hard to listen to. All tests are online but don't go by when the syllabus says the tests are going to be because it is wrong. The papers are really easy to get an A if you read the books. Don't bother going to class; you learn nothing. Just do the tests and reports and you'll be fine.

I currently have him for HIS 107. While he is a nice guy at heart, he shouldn't be a professor. His lectures are difficult to listen to, and he is very confusing. He has decided to take attendance at the beginning and end of class. He likes to treat students like high school students. Stay away from this professor.

I dropped out of his class. He was so boring and not engaging at all. He's a nice guy but he shouldn't be teaching anymore. He takes attendance at the end of class and never notices if people leave. It's a little upsetting.
