A very unprepared and lack of knowledge in what she was teaching. Very disappointed.
Nydia is a phenomenal teacher. She is very helpful and makes assignment relevant. I was able to take use everything. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!
She is an amazing teacher, just don't try to work ahead on your assignments. She likes to change the assignment in class and she normally makes it easier than LoudCloud has it as.
Very unprepared. No real teaching done in this class.
awesome teacher, all assignments are super easy, one of my favorite teachers
Professor Palomino is my favorite teacher this semester. She is very nice and truly cares about all of her students. She is very motherly and cares about your academic success as well as how you are doing outside of class. She is a super easy grader and she modifies all of her assignments to be done in class so you don't have homework.
Awesome teacher, very friendly and engaging. She is my favorite teacher at GCU
Palomino is AMAZING!! She is very honest and gives her honest opinion if you ask. The Foundations of Education class is very easy, she makes it fun and even brings snacks! Do not expect to learn new things, especially if you have already worked with kids. But she is a great person and I'd recommend her for any class.
She is a great professor that makes class fun and enjoyable.
Honestly the best teacher ever. I love her so much and she cares deeply for her students. I also learned so much about technology in this class and also know how to apply it to my future classroom. I'm taking her again next semester for the other classes that she is teaching.
Amazing! Love the activities
Palomino will long remain my favorite professor at Grand Canyon. I have had her for two classes now and I am so sad to think that I won't have her for any more classes. This is an eye opening class and she uses her life experiences to bring subjects into real world perspective. Get her as a professor if you can, you won't regret it one bit,
I will forever be grateful for how amazing Mrs. Palomino is. She cares for every student and tries her hardest to make sure every student gets to succeed. I will most definitely be taking more classes with her if I can.
I loved having Palomino has a teacher! She was amazing, she really showed that she cared about us learning the material then just giving us homework. I love to have her again, she honestly knew how to teach and get the information across to the class in a fun way.
She's really funny and doesn't grade hard at all. Take her.
She honestly cares about her students and if there was any type of family emergency or "life happens" stuff that came up forcing you to skip class she would totally understand and be gracious. A lot of work is done in class and in group work settings which makes it engaging and fun! Show up to class and respect her and you'll be good.
If you have the opportunity to take Professor Palomino, DO IT! She is honestly one of my favorite professors at GCU. She shows each student that she truly cares about them and is like a mom figure within the classroom. Her lectures are so fun to be apart of. Mostly all of the assignments are done in class.
Palomino is amazing. This is my second time having her and I wish I could have her again, but her classes fill up so fast. She truly cares about each and every student. She makes most assignments group work and assignments are done in class. She understands that things happen and is forgiving. She makes class fun and enjoyable.
Dr. Palomino is an amazing professor. I took her ELM-200 Child and Adolescent Psychology class and she was so helpful and has many experiences. Assignments are very easy and done in class. She takes attendance for participation but missing a few classes won't hurt. However, her class is so interesting you won't want to miss class. Would take again!
SHE IS AMAZING!!! No quizzes/tests/exams, just papers/worksheets. BUT all those assignments are modified to be done in class---- and also easier. Only assignment you really do on your own is the Benchmark, but she makes that bearable to do. She's such an amazing professor and she definitely shows how much she cares about each of her students.
Palomino is this best professor i have ever had! She cares so much about her students and truly wants everyone to succeed. She is very easy to talk to and if you ever miss a class she will help you catch up. Participation is taken every class, but trust me you WILL NOT want to skip her class because it is so fun!!
Palomino is by far my favorite professor. She's funny, genuine, and laid back. All assignments are done in class so I almost never had homework. Classes usually only ran from 45 minutes to an hour, she get everyone really comfortable with each other. Highly recommend.
Palomino is literally the best professor I have ever had and teaches you more from personal experiences and knowledge than the textbook will ever teach you. PLUS she knows how to have fun and tells great stories.
Nydia changes almost every assignment to be done in class. She is super chill, hilarious, and caring! I LOVE Nydia and you should DEF take her class!!!!!!
EVERY EDUCATION MAJOR NEEDS TO HAVE THIS PROF. she has so much experience and loves to tell stories about it. she is so inspiring... i wanna be like her when i grow up. she genuinely cares about her students and if you need anything im sure shed be more than happy to help. shes one of the good ones, guys.
Palomino has been my favorite professor at GCU so far! She has so much experience with an array of different students, which makes her that much more knowledgeable with answering our questions and giving honest stories and advice for future teachers. If you have the chance to take her, PLEASE do!
SHE IS AMAZING!
Genuinely cares about her students and teaches from her experiences. Tells great stories and cares more about the students understanding the material rather than just memorizing. Everyone needs to have her as a professor!
She has been one of my favorite professors at GCU! I'd definitely recommend her! She is always happy and energized, she makes you not want to miss class.
An awesome inspirational professor. She is all about a relaxed classroom and you will learn a lot about teaching. Love her!
Palomino was a great teacher! She had hilarious lectures! she assigned all individual assignments as group projects and was lenient on the deadlines. I would recommend her as a professor!
Palomino is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is very laid back and chill about everything which honestly is so refreshing. She will modify all the assignments so that they are actually fun, and so you actually learn from them. I 100% recommend taking her. She's the best, and genuinely cares about you and your life so much.
Palomino is absolutely amazing.. like seriously she is the best professor I have ever had. This is my second time taking a class with her and she is just so freaking great. She makes all assignments super easy but still extremely meaningful. I have honestly learned so much from her.
Seriously the best professor EVER. She has stories for mostly everything she lectures on and is so hilarious. She makes the class fun, entertaining, all while still being very educating. She is seriously such a blessing. You'll never want to miss a lecture because she is so awesome.
Palomino was a truly caring professor who inspired me to stay in Education; however, if you don't show up, this class will be difficult for you. Palomino does not go by the grading rubrics or directions shown on LC, so you have to actually show up and pay attention to participate in group projects. Palomino cared about us as students so much!
Best professor by far. She goes above and beyond to make the class enjoyable and relatable.
Take her you will love her!
Palomino is a gem. Not only does she make the assignments way easier than they're meant to be, but she's hilarious and cares for each of her students. Take her!
She is an easy grader. Just try your best and that's enough. Most of the assignments were in groups in class. Not a lot of assignments, so it's and easy grade and basically just show up.
I absolutely LOVED taking her class! She cared about her students and would go out of her way to make sure you turned everything in if it was out of character of you to miss turning in an assignment.
She is super understanding and kind. I recommend her to everyone. She understands how hard it can be to be a student juggling everything and will do what she can to help.
So amazing, definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. There are a few projects here and there, but besides that, not much to turn in. She's also an extremely easy grader and accepts late work. Attendance is mandatory for participation points, but I found her lectures very informative and entertaining, so I rarely felt the need to skip.
Palomino loves her students and what she teaches. She is so funny, passionate and understanding. The class itself is really easy, which makes it hard to stay motivated sometimes but she is so hip with her pop cultures references and jokes, I loved going to class just to see her. Much of the class is group-work and there are no tests or quizzes :)
Palomino is my favorite professor. She is extremely personable, flexible, and understanding. She genuinely cares about each of her students and will work with you to ensure that you succeed in her class. Show up to class every day and you'll get to do simplified homework assignments and hear her great stories!
Professor Palomino is great in some areas, however, her teachings are often based on opinion rather than factual evidence. She definitely speaks her mind and beliefs and thinks that her views are the only correct views. Her grading and policies are inconsistent and unclear. She approaches a lot of topics covered with her own opinion attached.
She was AMAZING. She cared about her students, and literally was everyones favorite. She made assignments easier, and we did most of them in class. She was hilarious, and made me SO excited to be a teacher. She was approachable, and cared about/checked up on her students at a personal level, always making sure we were ok. THE BEST. 10/10 recommend
Love Palomino. She does change almost every single assignment so make sure you are in class to know what she changed. She is really laid back and understands if something pops up; just communicate with her. She is very loving to every student to make sure we are good. If you are having a bad day, she totally gets it and really helps you through it.
Palomino is the BEST professor I've had. She understands students and is completely clear on all assignments. I didn't get the best grade because I started the semester poorly, but she did so much to help me make sure I passed the class. She actually cares about students and is willing to do so much to help. I definitely would recommend.
She is amazing! Totally understanding of family issues.
Palomino is the BEST. I have had her for 3 different courses, including my end-of-the-program student teaching course and she is a literal angel. She gives so much grace with due dates and is a professor that so obviously cares for her student. IF YOU ARE AN EDUCATION MAJOR AT GCU, YOU HAVE TO TAKE A PALOMINO CLASS.
Dr. Palomino was such a fun, caring professor to have in the first semester of my journey to receiving my B.S. in Elementary Education. She addresses topics in a way that I found really easy to follow along to and understand. I absolutely loved being in her class and I adored the way she taught! If you get the chance to take her, do it!!
Prof. Palomino is the most fun Professor Ive had. She is super sweet and understanding, and has great stories that really are fun to listen to while also being helpful for the class. I personally am not a huge fan of group projects, but we pretty much had one every week. They were super easy though and most of our homework could be done in class.
I have only been to GCU for a semester, and I can already tell that Palomino is going to be one of my favorite professors while here. This was a social justice for educators class, and I was worried about the awkwardness of discussions, but she is so happy-go-lucky and does so well with talking, that it was no issue. I highly recommend her.
Dr Palomino is one of the sweetest professors at GCU ! She is really understanding of everything & as long as you tell her youll be gone, she always gives you extra time and doesnt take points for participation! I highly recommend her if you have the chance to take her !
Prof. Palomino is such an amazing professor! she is so funny and it is obvious how much she cares for her students. she makes the material very easy to understand and applies the curriculum to current times to help the students relate. I would take her again in a second!
Take Professor Palomino!!!!!! Just do! She is so caring and will work with you to make sure that you do well. She made assignments into group projects and we did them in class so we only had homework a couple of weekends. I wish I could be friends with her tbh. She's just one of those amazing GCU professors that you just have to take.
She gave me inspiration to be a teacher and influenced me for the better. She truly cares about her students more so than I have ever seen a professor care for their students. I would take her class again just for fun.
Dr. Palomino is truly one os the best professors at GCU! She cares about her students and is passionate about the things she's teaching. Everything in the class is explained clearly and she sets time aside to work on projects during class. I would recommend her 100%!
Palomino was great! Definitely take her if you can. She is caring, kind, and extremely understanding when life happens. My only complaint is that she is biased and you can tell. She has said some things in class that just aren't true and I feel uncomfortable asking questions about material, especially in such a sensitive, touchy class.
She is so nice and her assignments are so easy. Her lectures are honestly super interesting. The only thing is she is very opinionated and sometimes its a little too much. She grades so easy I literally got 100% in her class
I LOVE PROFESSOR Palomino and she is one of the best educators on campus! I WOULD take her class at 7 am. That's saying something.
Professor Palamino is the BEST!! She is funny, caring, kind, and we always end class early. She has kids our age so she understands us and cares about our mental health. She loves her students so well and all of the assignments we do are group projects & super easy. I would highly suggest taking her class!!
She is one of my favorite professors! She is so laid back, caring, funny, and a great educator. I learned so much in her class, and all of the assignments were very clear and easy. She also does group work for a lot of the assignments! I recommend her 110%.
One of my favorite Ed teachers. She is so sweet and loves all of her students. She is very knowledgeable and makes everyone fell welcomed. She gives great advice!
Palomino was great, one of my favorite teachers. She truly cares about her students and takes time out of her day to be there for us when we don't understand something or just to talk to after class. She gives very little homework and always give time in class to work on it. she also allows us to work in groups for most of our assignments. 10/10
Dr. Palomino is a great professor. She engages the class and is caring toward her students. Assignments were fun to do, especially as a future educator. She allowed extensions on her assignments which helped me out a few times. I encourage you to take this course with Palomino.
Palomino is a great person and a caring professor. She strives to not overwhelm us and makes class simple. Due to the course's content, I did not like how she would change projects to group projects, the course is opinion based on some things, and making assignments group work was stifling at times. She truly cares, and the class was always fun!
Literally the best professor I have met so far at GCU. So kind. Listens to her students. Will literally change assignments to make them easier if students are struggling. Assignments are easy and fun. She is seriously so kind and I would kill to take her class again.
Dr. Palomino is an amazing Teacher! She truly teaches you what it is to be a teacher and she cares for her students! She likes to personally get to know you and listens to what you have to say. She doesn't allow disrespect amongst the peers, especially when dealing with social justice topics. I would honestly take her class again!
Prof Palomino is the best! She cares so much about her students. Her class is so interesting and I always left thinking about what we talked about. I recommend her 100%!
Amazing professor. Class ends early a lot. Lots of group work but the work gets done faster. She modifies assignments to make them easier for students. She knows what she's talking about and wants her students to succeed. She is a sweetheart, she's funny, class is exciting, and engaging. Take her!!
Dr. Palomino is very kind, and down to Earth. She always would give us grace for assignments as during my class she would get behind and if she gave herself grace she gave us students grace. She always gave good feedback on DQ's as well as assignments. I would recommend her to anyone!
Dr. Palomino was AMAZING. Literally cannot stress enough TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!! I took her twice during my time at GCU -- for EDU330 and for student teaching ELM490. She is funny, kind, and brings so much knowledge to her classes. She understands schools and administration so well.
I absolutely love her. She is so caring and kind and soo understanding. You feel deeply loved and cared for when you are in her class. She teaches well without overloading us with work. Highly recommend!
Love Professor Pailomino!! She is AMAZING!! She gave great lectures and cares for her students. For being a freshman in a higher-level class, I was worried I wouldn't understand the concepts, but she always explained everything well. Logging on to class is important, as she explains most class assignments and does group projects often!
Professor Palomino is amazing! I took this class on Zoom, and she made it fun. Her lectures were clear, and she often let us work in groups. She always made sure we understood the assignments, which made them easier to complete. She genuinely cares for her students' success and brings humor to every class. I would 100% take her class again!
Do not let my grade worry you. After some assignment introduction, she gives majority of class time to do the assignments and nearly everyone finishes in class. She is extremely understanding of schedules getting complicated and is willing to talk about extra time or any other accommodation.
Compared to other professors at GCU, she was very caring and understanding. She was my favorite professor, and I had her for two classes; I loved them both. I would have her again if I could, but overall, she is a good professor. What is most important in her class is to show up, listen, and you'll do great in the class.
I absolutely loved having her. she was so amazing and accommodating to me when I was gone for a few weeks. the actual sweetest teacher I have ever met. if I could take a class from her again I would in a heart beat
Dr. Palomino is absolutely one of the best professors I have had thus far. She gives thoughtful and detailed feedback on assignments and is one of the funniest people you will ever meet. She is also very open and welcoming to every student. Definitely would take a class with her again!
My saving grace this semester. So caring and considerate and out of all the courses i've taken so far for teaching she is one of the only professors who wants to embrace your creativity in teaching and let everyone form their own ideas while still informing us on beneficial methods to use! Would recommend 100 times over!
Dr. Palomino was such a great professor. She's very caring and knowledgeable in her area. She makes classes fun but short because if she doesn't have to be there, you don't have to be there. She's very willing to help and answer all your questions. I would definitely take more courses with her if possible!
This course was co-taught by Dr. Palomino and Prof. Hollis. They made lectures so fun and interesting! There was only one project that we worked on throughout the course. They were very caring and understanding to everyone!
