wow what a jerk

I had this doosh bag three years ago and just could not resist a chance to trash him. Absolute worst. I asked for help and he told me to read his book. Rambles and makes no sense. Would not brake if saw him crossing the street.

dude is straight out of africa and talks with clicks and snapping noises. droped his class because i spoke english.

The man is insane. I have no idea who he thinks he is teaching an english course! No one could understand him! You cant even talk to him, hes so oblivious to our culture, he needs to go back to Africa.

He's an aweful professor.He continues to repeat info that was taught during the first class.He doesn't grade anything.we ask for comments so we can improve he doesn't give one.He never makes himself clear.we ask him to clarify he only makes it worse.

For someone who keeps his students for the duration of a three hour class but fails to teach them ANYthing in that time, AND fails everyone on every assignment, TENURE must be the ONLY reason this professor still has a job. RUN WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WORST CLASS OF MY LIFE. I still have nightmares. no joke. you will hate this man the rest of your life. I wasted half a semester trying to get through this class and then dropped it. -wont let you know your grade + wont let you know if your improving

Took him for Effective Writing 2. SO HARD. HE IS MEAN. GET OUT NOW!!!!!!!

he is a horrible teacher, his test are very hard and he expects you to learn something from him even when you can not understand anything that he says. do not take him, he ismean and does not help you with the work. do not take this man!!!!

Worst prof (tied with Hanson) I've ever had. Don't bother declaring a journalism minor. You'll get a lower GPA and learn nothing. He wouldn't be difficult if he'd teach or be clear as to what he expects- he does neither. AVOID THIS PROF.

The only prof. who would write a book ("I saw the sky catch fire") on his genitals or someone's anyway. Too descriptive and a waste of time to read. I couldn't read anymore after page 130. I would've lost my appetite for lunch...

He is the worst professor that I have ever had. He talks about nothing of any importance to the class until the last 5 minutes. He grades hard and doesn't teach you anything. I learned nothing from his class. It was the biggest waste of my time.

I'm a good writer and have taken some of the best lit professors: JenBacon, Sorisio, Trotman Pollard. Want to talk about writing? DON'T TAKE ECHEWA. He discusses what HE feels is important in current events and has a VERY AUTHORITARIAN teaching style.

Haha anyone who says this man is a mediocre teacher is being extremely kind. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES!! He reads the glossary of the book to the class, says the same thing over and over for 3 hrs, yes word for word I counted. Insane grader. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR STAY AWAY FROM ECHEWA!!

If you are thinking about taking this man's class, DONT! I thought it wouldnt be that bad, but after the first day, i never wanted to go to the class again. Boring lectures, and impossible grading system.

worst, most boring professor i have ever had in my entire life. he talks down to you like you're retarted. he wont explain what he wants from you and just talks in circles. he tried to educate us about everything but writing. oh and he is always preaching christianity and the bible. sitting in class he made me want to kill myself. i hate this man

Never had him for a prof but had the misfortune of having to sit thru a 2hr 30 min lec on...his book? I honestly can't remember b/c it was THAT boring. He trails off, goes into another topic, then returns to what he was saying before that. I feel sorry for those who have in now and in the future. God bless u all.

This teacher will literally laugh at you if you misuse a word. He takes attendance which is unfortunate because his classes amount to nothing. He gets off topic and talks about stuff that has nothing to do with writing. One class all we did was talk about politics. Oh and he repeats himself over and over and over. Avoid at all costs.

He threatened to call the police on me and have me escorted out of the classroom for text messaging during one of his worthless lectures. The WORST teacher I ever had.Doesn't return work at all (so you never know your grade), doesn't give proper instruction, if you ask a question he either avoids an answer or embarrases you. I've learned nothing from his class. 90% of his classes are pointless. DON"T TAKE THIS CLASS OR YOU"LL REGRET IT. So boring it makes you want to jumpout awindow.

His teaching could hardly be called that. He talks a lot, but little of what he says has any relevence to the material we're supposed to learn, which is poorly defined. No organization at all, syllabus is useless and not followed so it's hard to know what to do, his office is just piles of papers, and he's never there for office hours.take COM212

Teaching style is a mixture of deadly dullness and unintentional hilarity. Loves to s...l...o...w...l...y repeat words/phrases 4-5 times in a row. Makes it obvious he considers us all spoiled, close-minded American idiots, then wonders why we're reluctant to engage. Clearly a brilliant man, but not cut out for teaching. Do not recommend.

He loves to repeat himself. Will repeat lectures numerous times. In the beginning he didn't take attendance but as the semester went on (and people started to skip class) he took attendance. He's easy it's just fairly boring and you don't need to go to class. You should prob. buy the book b.c you aren't gonna learn anything from him.

I went to class maybe once a week, never bought the book, and probably did poor on every test but still passed with a B. class is extremely boring but an easy credit. take at your own risk

He's very smart. Other than that there's not much nice to say.He is not clear and is annoyed & condesending when students ask questions.I didn't learn anything.He's redundent. The papers wern't explained well but were graded harshly.He's not a helpful person either.Just proves that you can be smart in your content area &not know beans @ teaching.

what a horrible teacher. i complained to the univ pres and the head of dept, and was able to get independent study. not clear, never able to answer a question, condescending, anti-female, jerk!!! says he is retiring 12/09. i hope so. i am older student - if my kid had him, i would go berserk!!

I enjoy writing, but this guy ruined it for me. He spent three classes just babbling about roots of words, nothing to do with our assignments. I stopped going to class halfway through the semester because I had no idea what he was talking about. huge mistake for a non english major to take his class.

I took him three times and the handouts in every single class were literally the same. Unclear, rude and caustic. On the bright side, I went to class four times the second time I had him and still got an A-, even though attendance is mandatory.
